The Haunt release their debut album ‘New Addiction,’ a thunderous and fearless record that redefines what modern rock can sound like. Out now, the album showcases the magnetic connection between siblings Anastasia Grace Haunt and Maxamillion “Max” Haunt, who lead with raw emotion, dynamic vocals, and a sound that feels alive on every level.

Produced by Kevin Thrasher and Josh Diaz, and mixed by Joel Wanasek, ‘New Addiction’ dives into themes of depression, heartbreak, and the weight of the modern world through a mix of industrial, metal, and alternative rock. The singles “Own Me,” “Going Under,” “Bad Omen,” “Teeth,” and “New Addiction” have drawn wide attention, while “Masochistic Lovers,” featuring Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate, continues to rise on the Active Rock charts at #29.

The Haunt’s year is filled with sold-out shows and festival performances across the U.S., U.K., and Europe, including Download, Rock For People, Louder Than Life, and WRIF RIFF FEST. Their headline tour runs through December, bringing fans a setlist full of high-voltage moments and songs that sound even bigger on stage.

The duo began performing as AnastasiaMax in 2015, inspired by Amy Winehouse and The White Stripes. They grew up playing clubs across Florida before expanding to global stages with Palaye Royale. Media support quickly followed, with Kerrang! celebrating their “gothic edge, flashes of punk vibrancy and riot grrrl attitude,” and Rock Sound naming them a “Breakout Artist.”

VIMIC have reemerged to honor the life and legacy of their late brother Joey Jordison with the release of their long-awaited debut album Open Your Omen, out now. The record, originally completed in 2016, has finally arrived following a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $100,000 to make its release a reality.

Leading the charge is the single “In Your Shadow,” available now. Written in 2014 by Joey Jordison, Kalen Chase, and former guitarist Kris Norris as a tribute to Type O Negative’s Peter Steele, the track has become an emotional centerpiece for both the band and fans worldwide. “After Joey passed, this song unfortunately took on another meaning,” the band shares. “We stand behind it as a tribute to our late brother.”

Proceeds from the album and reunion are directed to the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund’s partnership with Broken Strings, an Iowa nonprofit providing instruments to students in local schools — with the Jordison family expanding the initiative to include drums. With Open Your Omen, VIMIC bring Joey’s spirit roaring back to life, transforming grief into purpose and legacy into sound.

Daniel Johnston’s legacy continues to live on through a lovingly crafted second pressing of Love Lives Forever (BBC Sessions 2003–11) — a double album that captures the raw, heartfelt brilliance of one of America’s most singular songwriters. The collection gathers five intimate BBC sessions recorded between 2003 and 2011, offering a rare and radiant glimpse into Johnston’s later creative years.

The project, inspired by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Marc Riley, features two sessions for Rob Da Bank and three with Riley himself — both serving as executive producers on the release. Long sought after by fans, these performances have now been fully licensed, restored, and mastered from the BBC archives with the blessing of Johnston’s family, management, and charity.

Mastering was handled by Frank Arkwright at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios — a fitting tribute for an artist whose love for The Beatles shaped his sound and spirit. “The overwhelming consensus from those who knew him,” the release notes, “was that he would be so proud and excited to have his music mastered above the legendary Studio 2.”

Available as a limited double vinyl edition (numbered to 500 copies), CD, and high-resolution digital download, Love Lives Forever features Johnston’s own artwork and includes an eight-page booklet with photographs taken at his Waller, Texas home. Each edition serves as both a collector’s treasure and a celebration of the enduring innocence, honesty, and creativity that defined Johnston’s career.

Importantly, proceeds from this release will support the Hi, How Are You Project, the Austin-based nonprofit founded in Daniel’s honor to promote mental health awareness and open conversations about well-being. Rather than revisiting his struggles, this project celebrates his music — pure, unguarded, and unforgettable — reminding listeners that Daniel Johnston’s love truly lives forever.

Leading the project is the new single “You Ain’t Above Me,” a blues-infused soul ballad that showcases Haynes’ distinctive vocals, guitar work, and unshakable authenticity.

“This stripped-down version is actually the only time I’ve ever performed it this way,” Haynes shares. “I played it on my new Signature Gibson Les Paul with P-90 pickups which offers a cleaner and brighter sound than most folks would expect from me, which worked perfectly for the rhythm accompaniment of this kind of soul ballad.”

The Whisper Sessions finds Haynes reconnecting with longtime Allman Brothers Band collaborator Derek Trucks, who appears on three songs including “These Changes” and the reimagined ABB classic “Melissa.” The record also features “This Life As We Know It,” which hit the Top 15 on the Americana chart and Top 40 at Triple A radio, and “Real Real Love,” co-written with Trucks and inspired by lyrics started by the late Gregg Allman. Beyond the studio, Haynes and Gov’t Mule continue celebrating their 30th anniversary on the road. The band’s Back In The Saddle Tour is underway, covering the East Coast and Midwest through November 1. The run includes a special headlining show in Louisville, festival sets at FloydFest 25 ~ Aurora and Flood City Music Festival, and a six-date co-headlining stretch with the Tedeschi Trucks Band.
