WHIPPED CREAM surges forward with “stranger,” a pulsing new single that captures the split-second electricity of locking eyes across a crowded room. Following the tone-setting “it’s time to go home,” the track sets the stage for her official debut album ‘HOME WAS ALWAYS ME,’ arriving April 30 via Monstercat. Built for clubs, late-night drives and solitary headphone moments alike, “stranger” bottles that unspoken connection and lets it spark in real time.
The Canadian producer and vocalist, born Caroline Cecil, continues to fuse dynamic, expressive vocals with immersive house and techno textures, sharpening the storytelling edge heard across EPs like ‘Careline,’ ‘is this real?,’ ‘Someone You Can Count On’ and ‘Who Is Whipped Cream?’ On her first full-length, she leans into boldly cinematic dance music, grounding sweeping soundscapes in raw, human emotion and universal themes.
At its core, ‘HOME WAS ALWAYS ME’ explores authenticity beneath perception. Reframing the Biblical figure Eve as an archetype of truth rather than transgression, WHIPPED CREAM crafts a modern narrative about reclaiming identity. “People say ‘be yourself,’ but the moment you do, they project onto you,” she explains. This album stands as her declaration of choosing self-definition anyway, a powerful statement wrapped in immersive, high-impact electronic sound.
Brazilian alt.rock band Junoplast Cave step into something far bigger than a performance with “Live in Amazonia,” an immersive audiovisual project that fuses original music, raw live energy and the elemental force of the world’s largest tropical rainforest. Formed in 2019 by Matheus Brevis, Ruann Magno, Arthur Cunha and Daniel Pinheiro, the band has carved out a provocative sonic identity built on visceral screams, futuristic guitar tones, dense synth layers and striking riffs that feel both aggressive and atmospheric.
Their 2020 EP ‘How to Stop Bad Thoughts’ introduced listeners to lyrics grappling with anxiety, emotional conflict and everyday tension, all wrapped in a sharp, contemporary rock framework. Inspired by the weight and texture of artists like Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood and Nine Inch Nails, Junoplast Cave have continued refining a sound that thrives on intensity while leaving space for mood and depth.
Now, instead of a standard rollout, the band is unveiling new material through sunrise performances recorded deep in the Amazon rainforest, shared via their official VEVO YouTube channel. Performed on a floating raft, the sessions place the music inside the landscape rather than simply against it. Mist rolling through the trees, the hum of wildlife and the gradual spill of morning light become part of the composition itself.
“Live in Amazonia” is more than a striking visual concept. It is a declaration of origin and belonging, rock from the Amazon, in the Amazon. By merging dense, modern rock textures with the organic pulse of the forest, Junoplast Cave present a bold artistic manifesto that signals contemporary music from Brazil’s Northern region is inventive, emotionally charged and ready to resonate far beyond its roots.
Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Isabel van Gelder brings her intimate indie pop to Dublin’s Academy 2 on Tuesday 1 September 2026, with tickets on sale Friday 20 February and doors opening at 7.00 pm. Known for blending emotionally layered ballads with lighter, melodic pop moments, van Gelder pairs dreamy production with reflective, close-to-the-heart lyricism that invites listeners in rather than keeping them at a distance.
Since the release of “Die For You” and “My Silly Boy,” her profile has surged, fueled by millions of views across Instagram and TikTok and the streaming success of her debut EP ‘Minor Details.’ Often described as a hidden gem, she is quickly outgrowing that label as online momentum translates into packed rooms and growing international interest. Early covers of artists like Tom Odell helped build anticipation, but originals like “Pieces” confirmed her ability to marry softness with resilience.
Live, van Gelder leans into that clarity and vulnerability, something sharpened through nationwide Popronde performances and support slots for Blanks. The Dublin date marks another step forward, bringing her expanding catalogue to an Irish audience ready to experience her understated, emotionally direct style up close.
FOUR THIRTY FOUR crash back onto the scene with “Stuck Out,” a high-octane blast of modern rock that channels the frustration and fallout of present-day breakups into something loud, sharp and undeniable. Marking their fourth collaboration with producer Kevin McNoldy, the track captures the band locked in and firing on all cylinders, pairing crushing riffs and driving rhythms with emotionally charged vocals that refuse to sit quietly in the background.
Lyrically, “Stuck Out” zeroes in on the breakdown of communication, that moment when two people talk past each other until there is no way forward. It is honest, direct and unapologetic, a breakup anthem built for right now. The hooks hit hard, the energy never lets up, and the tension that runs through the song mirrors the emotional push and pull at its core.
With each release, FOUR THIRTY FOUR continue carving out space in the modern rock landscape through authenticity and relentless momentum. “Stuck Out” raises the bar again, showcasing a band evolving as songwriters and performers while delivering the kind of urgency that is primed to ignite live crowds.
Melissa McCarthy stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and delivered one of those stories that feels almost too surreal to be real: getting a call from Barbra Streisand and ending up at the legend’s home to record a duet. The Emmy winner described the experience as bizarre in the best possible way, sharing the mix of awe, disbelief and pure joy that came with stepping into Streisand’s world.
Flore Benguigui and The Sensible Notes return with “Goody Goody,” a sparkling, live-swing reimagining that captures the spirit of a jazz club in full flight. Out now, the track pulses with infectious rhythm, playful lyricism and what Flore perfectly sums up as “It’s jazz, but it’s fun.” The single arrives ahead of her debut album ‘i-330,’ landing March 13 via Decca Records France, and follows the announcement of a sold-out Paris show at New Morning and a special London date at Rough Trade East.
‘i-330’ finds the former L’Impératrice singer diving back into the jazz that shaped her, blending eras from Nat King Cole to Barbara while weaving acoustic warmth with shimmering synth textures. Recorded live over five days at Studio Pigalle, the album leans into spontaneity, communal energy and melodic emotion. With The Sensible Notes, Flore bridges 1930s standards and French pop poetry into a retro-futurist swirl that feels timeless and vividly present.
The result is a joyful, feminist-tinged celebration of jazz as shared experience. From swing to bebop touches, from Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday to Chet Baker echoes, ‘i-330’ reframes classics and deep cuts alike with groove and heart. “Goody Goody” is the doorway in. The machine to stir up time is officially switched on.

Jessie Ware returns with “Ride,” a slow-burning, high-heat dance cut that has been building anticipation since she first debuted it at Glastonbury’s NYC Downlow following her West Holts headline set in 2024. Now officially released via Island EMI, the track slides into motion with a hypnotic groove that subtly nods to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme before locking into full-body momentum.
“Ride was the first song I wrote for this record,” Jessie shares. Created with Jack Peñate and Karma Kid, the track pulses with club energy while staying playful and commanding. “It’s a song for the clubs, for the dancefloor – fun, cinematic, cheeky and powerful.” Ware leans into desire and control with lines like “I’m bad / Beautiful / Hold my hips / Watch me move,” owning every beat.
“Ride” sets the tone for her upcoming album ‘Superbloom,’ out April 10, positioning Ware at the center of a cinematic, tension-filled soundscape built for movement and late-night electricity. This is Jessie Ware stepping fully into the spotlight and turning up the temperature.

Multi-platinum UK pop powerhouse Calum Scott teams up with British rap breakout Aitch for a reimagined version of “Unsteady,” out now via Capitol Records. Originally featured on Calum’s third album ‘Avenoir,’ the track takes on new dimension with Aitch’s verse layered into its slow-building, emotionally open core. It is vulnerable, melodic, and now sharpened with added edge.
“I’m a little unsteady, a little messed up,” Calum sings before flipping the sentiment toward connection. Aitch steps in with his own grounded honesty, reinforcing the song’s theme of accepting imperfection. “Loved working with Calum, he’s a top guy,” says Aitch. The video, directed by Ben Morgan, strips back the studio setting and pairs the performance with intimate moments between couples, keeping the message front and center.
The release lands as Calum prepares to bring “The Avenoir Tour” to North America. Following dates across Asia, the UK, Europe, and South Africa, he launches the North American leg on March 23 in Vancouver before hitting Los Angeles, Austin, New York, Toronto, and more. ‘Avenoir’ continues to define this chapter, pairing sweeping ballads with groove-driven anthems and marking another major step in his evolution as a global pop force.

Dermot Kennedy releases “Refuge,” the second single from his upcoming third album ‘The Weight of the Woods,’ arriving March 27 via Island Records. The Irish singer songwriter leans into vulnerability on this anthemic, acoustic-led track, which builds from quiet reflection to a soaring refrain. “If we never make it, at least we can say we died trying” lands like a mission statement, equal parts doubt and defiance.
“I like the ‘died trying’ lyric, because it reminds me of 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” Dermot explains. “On stage, I’ll feel supremely confident… but it’s not always the case. Gabe brought the vulnerability out of me.” Written and recorded near his home in rural Ireland with Gabe Simon, the 14-track album draws from Irish instrumentation and landscape, rooted in the forest behind his house and the sense of wonder it provides.
With his largest headline tour to date set for May and June, including London’s The O2 and two nights at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, Dermot steps into this era with renewed focus. From intimate pub performances to arenas and stadiums, his voice remains the anchor. “Refuge” signals an album shaped by home, honesty, and a renewed connection to the place that made him.
