Zara Larsson Ignites 2026 As “Midnight Sun” Tour Sells Out Fast

0

Zara Larsson storms into 2026 at full blaze as her highly anticipated “Midnight Sun” Tour sells out ahead of its opening night in Portland, OR. The momentum is undeniable. With three simultaneous entries on the Billboard Hot 100, Larsson stands in a rare lane of global pop command, holding firm as one of the most streamed and talked-about artists in the world right now.

This week, she ranks No. 31 globally on Spotify’s artist chart with more than 61 million monthly listeners. Her Grammy-nominated single “Midnight Sun” continues its climb, while “Stateside” with PinkPantheress and the revived global hit “Lush Life” all chart at once on the Hot 100. Nearly a decade after its original release, “Lush Life” surges again, recently hitting a new peak at No. 8 on the Billboard Global chart. It is a remarkable run that signals sustained cultural impact and pure pop stamina.

On February 28, Larsson brings “Midnight Sun” to the stage as her sold-out North American run launches at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom. Demand prompted second nights in Los Angeles and New York City, along with multiple venue upgrades across the tour. Australia follows in October, with presales selling out in under two hours. The year begins with packed rooms, massive streaming numbers, and a catalog that continues to roar.

Sophia Yau-Weeks Announces Debut Album ‘Misty Mountain’ And Shares “Nobody’s Laughing”

0

Oakland songwriter Sophia Yau-Weeks has announced her debut album ‘Misty Mountain,’ arriving April 3 via Lavasocks Records. Rooted in collaboration and organic expression, the record explores love, grief, trauma, resilience, and collectivism, drawing quiet sonic inspiration from artists like Nick Drake and Big Thief. The album positions Yau-Weeks as a reflective new voice grounded in intimacy and emotional clarity.

Alongside the announcement, she shares the single “Nobody’s Laughing,” a stark meditation on isolation and identity. Yau-Weeks calls it “a snapshot of a time that was filled with great grief and self-reflection,” written over the course of her 26th birthday and the day after. As an immunocompromised person navigating social isolation, she turned inward, using songwriting to process questions of self-worth and presence during a year of change.

The New Pornographers Share “Pure Sticker Shock” Ahead Of ‘The Former Site Of’

0

The New Pornographers return with “Pure Sticker Shock,” the latest single from their forthcoming tenth studio album ‘The Former Site Of,’ due March 27 on Merge Records. Built on bright, jamming synth-pop, the track finds A.C. Newman turning inward as he questions ideas of worth and value. “It basically asks the question ‘What has worth? Who is deciding?’ Your market value is not always your value,” Newman shared, reflecting on the song’s personal resonance.

‘The Former Site Of’ gathers ten tightly crafted pop narratives exploring people at personal and societal extremes. Newman first shaped the material in his home studio before bringing it to bandmates Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, and Todd Fancey. The album also features session drummer Charley Drayton, with Josh Wells joining the band on drums for their spring tour. Newman noted that having time to build songs privately allowed him to refine their core feeling before presenting them to the group.

The band kicks off a U.S. tour April 22 at The Wilbur in Boston, with stops at Webster Hall in New York, Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, The Metro in Chicago, and 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Support comes from Will Sheff of Okkervil River as the group brings new material and catalog favorites to stages across the country.
