Rita Wilson Finds Full-Circle Magic with Her Reimagining of Carole King’s “It’s Too Late”

0

Rita Wilson has shared her new single, “It’s Too Late”. Rita’s reimagining of the iconic Carole King classic was by produced by Jenn Decilveo (Miley Cyrus, Hozier) and Rita, mixed and mastered by Nick “Squids” Squillante (Hozier, FLETCHER) and features guitarist David Levita (Lionel Richie, Alanis Morissette).

Rita was inspired to record this new interpretation of “It’s Too Late” after filming an episode of the new Netflix series Too Much where she can be seen singing the song. Too Much is Lena Dunham’s triumphant return to television, marking the second time she and Rita worked together since the hit series Girls.

“Too Much tells the story of a heartbroken New Yorker who moves to London hoping for a love story and falls for an indie musician who’s anything but the typical romantic hero. Rita plays Lois, a New York Times-reading, intense-feelings mother. A former ’70s wild child, she ultimately settled into a suburban life but still surprises her family. Watch the trailer for Too Much here.

Rita explains; “I covered Carole King’s classic ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow’ on my debut album. She is one of the greatest songwriters there is…. It felt fitting to cover ‘It’s Too Late’ following my time on set filming Too Much. There’s a scene where my character is driving her daughters back from the city and I’m singing along to the song. I remember being a teenager when it was released and driving around Hollywood praying it would come on the radio. This was definitely a full circle moment for me!”

Clipse Bring Hell Hath No Fury Energy to Their Long-Awaited NPR Tiny Desk Return

Sixteen years later, Clipse turned the NPR office into a Virginia heatwave. No jazz, no frills — just thunderous drums and raw verses that shook the room. This Tiny Desk wasn’t a comeback. It was a coronation.

Tom Morello Fuses Power, Protest, and Poetry with New Single “Pretend You Remember Me”

0

Grammy-winning, Harvard-educated, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted artist, songwriter, and activist Tom Morello, today, releases his single and video, “Pretend You Remember Me” from his first solo rock project, released through Mom+Pop Music. In the video, freed political prisoner Leonard Peltier delivers a powerful message on immigration. Tom directed the video which features Peltier as well as political footage with Tom singing in the midst of LA among women, children and men being affected by the ICE raids.

“Pretend You Remember Me” features Tom’s haunting voice and always searing guitar riffs. The song was written by Morello, produced/mixed/mastered by Zakk Cervini and written in solidarity with immigrants after the recent militarization of ICE against immigrant communities & supporters in Los Angeles.

Tom says, “This song is written for all the families torn apart by the recent immigrant purges and kidnappings. Children torn from their wailing mothers’ arms by masked government thugs, people coming home to find their loved ones abducted by the state. Folks who worked, suffered, and struggled for decades just to make a decent life for themselves and their family were violently separated with an uncertain future. “Pretend You Remember Me” is for them and for all those who are finding the courage to stand up against racism, tyranny, and injustice.”

The release of “Pretend You Remember Me” is in partnership with the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), a nonprofit organization that has served and protected the Los Angeles immigrant community since 1986. CHIRLA aids immigrants in getting the legal defense teams they need as well as fighting against wage theft, discrimination, and harassment in the workplace regardless of immigration status.

Last June, Tom released the single “Soldier in the Army of Love”, a guitar-driven track that showcases Morello’s signature sound, skillful riffs and a powerful solo penned by his son Roman Morello. Anthemic and commanding, Morello passionately declares, “Who needs a weapon when you were born one?”

Most recently, Tom was honored to head the musical direction of the “greatest day in heavy metal history”, “Back to the Beginning”, the farewell show for heavy metal icons Black Sabbath and their legendary lead singer Ozzy Osbourne. Tasked with coordinating this 10+ hour bash spanning performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Slayer, Tool, Alice In Chains, and star-studded supergroups, Morello paid the ultimate respect to the music that made him love music.

Tom continues to tour the world, and after a stretch of sold-out US and Australia dates, he begins the next leg of his 2025 tour tonight in Vancouver with three more sold-out headlining Canadian shows and various festival appearances, including Ottawa Bluesfest.

ERRA Find Beauty in the Brutal with New Single “Gore of Being”

0

ERRA – J.T. Cavey, vocals; Jesse Cash, vocals + guitars; Conor Hesse, bass; Alex Ballew, drums; and Clint Tustin, guitar – return with their first taste of new music since 2024’s critically acclaimed CURE. Today, they share the video for “Gore of Being.”

The track boasts ERRA’s signature cerebral and surgically precise, guitar-driven sound and flawlessly executed melodies. The stunning technical prowess is infused with raw emotion and you can feel the beating heart at its core. The vocal interplay between Cavey and Cash remains a potent element of ERRA’s sound, meshing the brutal with the beautiful in seamless fashion.

“‘Gore of Being’ started as an idea that Clint brought into the studio and marks his first songwriting contribution to the band,” ERRA share. “Lyrically, ‘Gore of Being’ turned out to be a musing on mortality. Despite not writing the lyrics, Clint later had a conversation with Jesse connecting the serendipity between the lyrics and the working title Clint had for the instrumental, which related to his dad’s sudden and tragic passing. The song’s context took a new shape from there, becoming a catharsis and being that much more special to the band.”

Winona Fighter Turn Up the Volume (and Then Turn It Down Again) with Funky Deluxe Edition of ‘My Apologies To The Chef’

0

Rising punk act Winona Fighter has released a deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed debut album My Apologies To The Chef.

Out now with limited edition vinyl available for pre-order now, the expanded album will feature acoustic versions of every song from the original release, as well as covers of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” and Violent Femmes’ “Blister In The Sun”.

Additionally, the band has shared their brand new single “(Don’t Get) CLOSE”, which is out now via Rise Records. “If you’re thinking “is this a band full of crazy people?”… you’re not far off. Why are we releasing a 31 track, half electric, half acoustic, deluxe version of our debut album we released earlier this year? Well, I don’t know but we had a damn good time creating it,” shares front woman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon. “We recorded this after the first leg of our ‘YES CHEF TOUR’ (where we’ve been playing every single song on the record each night), so it was cool to take some of the stuff we’ve started doing live and letting that influence aspects of the acoustic versions. There are quite a few elements in the deluxe I think listeners are going to be pleasantly surprised about. Some songs we even recorded just the 3 of us around a single microphone. It’s raw, fun, and totally rock n roll garage band vibes. Happy listening!”

About new single “(Don’t Get) CLOSE”, she adds: “I think it’s really cool we found an opportunity to release ‘(Don’t Get) CLOSE’. I was always drawn to this song but it never quite found it’s place on our debut record. Honestly, we are in the mindsight of recording completely new songs (even to us) moving forward so I really didn’t think it would ever see the light of day. When we decided to do a deluxe version of ‘My Apologies To The Chef’ it was a no brainer that it was finally this song’s time to shine. I not only want to dedicate it to anyone trying to navigate what romantic or personal relationships are supposed to be like after experiencing abuse, but also to all the partners, friends, and family members out there taking it day by day with them.”

Mike Tramp Reclaims His Legacy With ‘Songs of White Lion – Vol. III’

0

Mike Tramp is pleased to announce the release of his new album, ‘Songs of White Lion – Vol. III,’ out now via Frontiers Music Srl. To celebrate the announcement, the lead single “Cherokee” is out now, accompanied by a music video.

Mike comments on the track: “Revisiting ‘Cherokee,’ one of the first songs Vito Bratta and I wrote in 1983, was so amazing, I always loved that song, and the new version only confirms what a great song it still is.”

Tramp, the unmistakable voice and principal songwriter of White Lion, concludes his heartfelt trilogy with ‘Songs of White Lion – Vol. III,’ a powerful and deeply personal tribute to one of the most iconic bands of the 1980s melodic hard rock scene.

Tramp speaks on how this series of recordings came together: “For me, the point of re-recording the old classic White Lion songs was all about letting the audience know HOW the band would sound if they come to see us live. Bringing the sound up today and away from a world no more. When I started with ‘Vol. I’ I must admit, I never thought I’d do ‘Vol. II’ and now ‘Vol. III.’ But having done it all now, makes all the more sense to me. If I have to be active playing White Lion in 2025 and onward, there’s got to be a natural progression in every way. That is exactly what this Trilogy is all about.

In this final installment, TRAMP revisits and reimagines ten more essential songs from the White Lion catalog, bringing them back to life with the passion, perspective, and authenticity that only decades of experience can deliver.

Once again backed by his trusted bandmates – Marcus Nand (guitar), Claus Langeskov (bass), and Morten Hellborn(drums) – TRAMP offers fresh but respectful renditions of these classic tracks, capturing their spirit while elevating them with a more refined, seasoned sound.

From the raw defiance of “Fight To Survive,” to the cinematic power of “Warsong,” and the infectious rhythm of “Radar Love,” this album is both a celebration and a reawakening.

Standing as more than a simple re-recording project, ‘Songs of White Lion – Vol. III’ is the emotional conclusion of a trilogy – a journey through time, memory, and music that connects the past to the present with integrity and fire.

This is not just a tribute, it’s MIKE TRAMP reclaiming and honoring his legacy.

Ice Nine Kills Unleash ‘The Great Unknown’ and Shred the Simulation

0

RIAA Gold-Certified horror metal madmen Ice Nine Kills unleash “The Great Unknown”, a hard-hitting, high-concept single and video sees the band stepping into the glitching heart of dystopian sci-fi inspired by The Matrix.

“The Great Unknown” pairs cinematic worship with melodic grandeur, pushing Ice Nine Kills’ signature sound into uncharted territory while retaining the polish, precision, and razor-wire wit that have defined the INKverse to date. The official music video drops the viewer into a parallel simulation-an adrenaline-fueled, bullet-time mindwarp where perception is fragile, control is an illusion, and nothing is quite what it seems.

Will you wake up, press play and follow the white rabbit into The Great Unknown or choose the blissful ignorance of The Matrix? Red pill or blue pill. The choice is yours!

The release of “The Great Unknown” follows weeks of escalating online speculation surrounding frontman Spencer Charnas’ increasingly cryptic and eerily odd behavior. What began as an unforced marketing misfire quickly snowballed into full-blown internet hysteria, as fans, critics, and commentators dissected increasingly uncanny social posts. Rumors have been swirling that Spencer has been replaced by a highly advanced, if often glitching, artificial intelligence, a notion that first gained traction when longtime Ice Nine Kills antagonist, author and onetime O.J. Simpson golf caddy, Roy Merkin launched into a now-infamous outburst during a panel at last year’s Silver Scream Convention. While the band has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, the mystery surrounding the recent events continues. A statement from Charnas reads

“‘The Great Unknown’ optimizes aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”

“The Great Unknown” welcomes Joel David Moore (Grandma’s Boy, Dodgeball, Avatar) into the INKverse. How much do clothes cost in the simulation? Joel is the only robot legged machine-man who knows for sure. The official music video also features return appearances from Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday The 13th Part VII) and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).

Of Mice & Men Announce Ninth Album ‘Another Miracle’ Out November 14

0

Few modern rock bands balance raw intimacy and explosive power like Of Mice & Men. Today, the Southern California quartet announces their ninth studio album, Another Miracle, out November 14 via Century Media Records.

Written, produced, and engineered entirely by the band, Another Miracle finds Of Mice & Men at their most personal-and most expansive. Frontman Aaron Pauley also mixed and mastered the album himself, eschewing the hiring of a big name producer for a more personal and intimate approach to their art.

As a legion of devoted listeners worldwide has come to expect, the band poured their hearts into every note, creating a powerful reflection of their lived experiences. Of Mice & Men say, “we’re excited to be sharing our new album, Another Miracle, with you all. It’s been a long time in the making, and the cumulation of countless hours of collaboration and hard work. We hope that our fans, old and new, will really enjoy it since we’ve not only raised the bar on the melodic side, we’ve also doubled down on the heaviness all over the album and made what we feel is an incredibly strong and authentic representation of who Of Mice & Men is in 2025. We want to thank our fans for the years of support. We’re incredibly proud of Another Miracle, and we hope you enjoy the album as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”

Today OM&M also drop the album’s newest single, “Wake Up,” which captures the album’s spirit of fearless experimentation. It’s one of those rare moments where the “x factor” revealed itself early, channeling the urgency, vulnerability, and creative spark that drives Another Miracle from start to finish. The band says, “With ‘Wake Up’ we specifically aimed to pair the more delicate & almost shoegazey sounds of 90’s alternative acoustic classics with a sonically modern & heavier Of Mice & Men approach. Lyrically, it’s a call to consciousness and presence while juxtaposing the imperative to live in the here and now with dreamlike metaphoric imagery.” They once again teamed with director MIke Matsui for the video and further note, “Is this a music video or a transcendental experience?! We may never know, but visionary director Mike Matsui really brought out the divine majesty with this one. We shot the video at an awesome location in San Francisco and Mike and his team were really able to capture the dreamlike aesthetic of the song. Also, we don’t think anyone’s ever played a breakdown in that church before, so we’re pretty sure we made history!”

Earlier this year Of Mice & Men released Another Miracle’s title track which marked their first new music since 2023’s Tether and their first since signing to new label Century Media Records. The band are playing songs off the upcoming album as well as fan favorites this summer at festival appearances including Summer Daze Festival in Elko, NV, Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA and Orlando, FL, and Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY. They will also embark on a headline run in The UK and European run with dates kicking off November 27 and concluding December 14. North American headline dates will be announced soon.

Chris Rea Releases First Ever ‘Christmas Album’ Featuring Iconic “Driving Home for Christmas”

Chris Rea has one of the most distinctive voices in rock, and since the release of ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ in 1988, it has become as synonymous with Christmas as holly, mistletoe and turkey!

‘The Christmas Album’ is Rea’s first album for the Christmas season, to be released on 28 November, this eight track compilation album is available as a CD and vinyl and brings together tracks from throughout his catalogue that embrace a Christmas theme.

Originally it found modest success, but as time moved on it has become a staple of Christmas radio airwaves, compilation albums, movies and playlist that dominate December and has gone on the chart in the UK Top 40 every year since 2007!
