The visuals celebrate Stough’s roots with nods to pivotal moments from his Mississippi upbringing. From trading childhood treasures for his first pawn shop guitar at age 8 to checking on a pet chicken in a trailer park and setting off fireworks within city limits, every scene hits with authenticity. The same guitar he bought as a kid makes a cameo, tying the story together in true full-circle fashion.

The Oak Ridge Boys are once again lighting up the season with their beloved American Made Christmas Tour. For more than three decades, the Grammy Award-winning and Country Music Hall of Fame-inducted group has brought holiday joy to fans across the country. This year, their tour returns for a limited run, filling select cities with festive cheer, breathtaking visuals, and timeless harmonies.

Each night of the tour will feature a heartwarming blend of traditional and contemporary holiday favorites, alongside some of The Oak Ridge Boys’ most iconic hits. Fans can expect beautiful stage designs complete with falling snow and decorated Christmas trees, setting the perfect mood for a joyful celebration. Selections from their seven bestselling Christmas albums will make the show a highlight of the season for families and longtime fans alike.

Adding to their year of celebrations, The Oak Ridge Boys are proud winners at the 46th Annual Telly Awards for their music video “Come On Home.” The video features William Lee Golden on lead vocals, Ben James as the main character, Brenda Fielder, and Country Music Hall of Famer Jimmy Fortune as Ben’s parents. Directed by Brandon Wood of IndieBling and premiered by Whiskey Riff, the video beautifully captures themes of faith, family, and the comfort of home. “Come On Home” marks the group’s fourth Telly Award win, continuing their legacy of creativity and heart.

VIMIC have reemerged to honor the life and legacy of their late brother Joey Jordison with the release of their long-awaited debut album Open Your Omen, out now. The record, originally completed in 2016, has finally arrived following a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $100,000 to make its release a reality.

Leading the charge is the single “In Your Shadow,” available now. Written in 2014 by Joey Jordison, Kalen Chase, and former guitarist Kris Norris as a tribute to Type O Negative’s Peter Steele, the track has become an emotional centerpiece for both the band and fans worldwide. “After Joey passed, this song unfortunately took on another meaning,” the band shares. “We stand behind it as a tribute to our late brother.”

Proceeds from the album and reunion are directed to the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund’s partnership with Broken Strings, an Iowa nonprofit providing instruments to students in local schools — with the Jordison family expanding the initiative to include drums. Daniel Johnston’s legacy continues to live on through a lovingly crafted second pressing of Love Lives Forever (BBC Sessions 2003–11) — a double album that captures the raw, heartfelt brilliance of one of America’s most singular songwriters. The collection gathers five intimate BBC sessions recorded between 2003 and 2011, offering a rare and radiant glimpse into Johnston’s later creative years.

The project, inspired by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Marc Riley, features two sessions for Rob Da Bank and three with Riley himself — both serving as executive producers on the release. Long sought after by fans, these performances have now been fully licensed, restored, and mastered from the BBC archives with the blessing of Johnston’s family, management, and charity.

Mastering was handled by Frank Arkwright at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios — a fitting tribute for an artist whose love for The Beatles shaped his sound and spirit. “The overwhelming consensus from those who knew him,” the release notes, “was that he would be so proud and excited to have his music mastered above the legendary Studio 2.”

Available as a limited double vinyl edition (numbered to 500 copies), CD, and high-resolution digital download, Love Lives Forever features Johnston’s own artwork and includes an eight-page booklet with photographs taken at his Waller, Texas home. Each edition serves as both a collector’s treasure and a celebration of the enduring innocence, honesty, and creativity that defined Johnston’s career.

Importantly, proceeds from this release will support the Hi, How Are You Project, the Austin-based nonprofit founded in Daniel’s honor to promote mental health awareness and open conversations about well-being. Rather than revisiting his struggles, this project celebrates his music — pure, unguarded, and unforgettable — reminding listeners that Daniel Johnston’s love truly lives forever.

Written by bluegrass legend Peter Rowan, the tune gets a lively Western swing makeover featuring Ian Stewart on lead vocals and a show-stopping guitar turn from the incomparable Billy Strings.

“Love everything about this song,” says frontman Ray Benson. “It also made for a great title for the record.
