Shoegaze Visionaries One Hundred Moons Unveil Haunting New Single “Black Avalanche”

0

One Hundred Moons invites listeners into a dreamlike world with their new single “Black Avalanche,” out now. The track marks the first glimpse of their upcoming full-length album Black Avalanche and follows their 2024 EP Take Two, which saw the band fearlessly reimagine a series of ’90s classics. With this new release, One Hundred Moons continues to evolve their sound, blending mystery, emotion, and sonic exploration into a lush, immersive experience.

“Black Avalanche” is a journey through shadow and light. Ethereal and haunting, it moves like a ghost through fog, pulling the listener into a world where every note feels suspended in time. The track’s haunting tone and textured layers create a sense of both familiarity and discovery, as if walking through a forest lit only by memory and intuition.

Drawing inspiration from icons like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Radiohead, One Hundred Moons brings a contemporary edge to shoegaze, merging nostalgic textures with forward-thinking soundscapes. Their music breathes emotion into every chord, fusing past and present into something unmistakably their own. The result is both meditative and electric — a sound that lingers long after the final note fades.

With its emotional intensity and cinematic depth, “Black Avalanche” offers a window into the world the band is building with their upcoming album. It’s a song that invites reflection, curiosity, and surrender — the kind of track that grows richer with each listen. One Hundred Moons stands at the dawn of a new creative era, and “Black Avalanche” is just the beginning.

Jeremy Zucker Reflects on His Journey With New Single “surprise!” and Upcoming Album ‘Garden State’

0

Jeremy Zucker’s long-awaited new album Garden State is out now via Mercury Records, alongside his latest single “surprise!” — a heartfelt acoustic ballad that captures the singer’s signature blend of emotion and reflection. The New Jersey-born, LA-based multi-Platinum artist delivers his most personal and introspective work to date, tracing his journey from small-town dreams to global acclaim.

“surprise!” is a love letter to Zucker’s younger self — a message of reassurance that everything will fall into place. With soft acoustic tones and honest lyricism, the song embodies gratitude and growth. “’surprise’ is really surreal for me because it’s a letter to my younger self, who’s dream I’m literally living,” Jeremy shares. “That’s why the line ‘cuz strange as it seems, I’m living your dreams, the voice coming out your speakers’ hits so hard for me.”

The 14-track Garden State explores the experiences that shaped Zucker’s path: leaving home, finding love, and navigating adulthood with clarity and vulnerability. Songs like “hometown” reflect on the push and pull of growing up and moving away, while the album’s stripped-down production gives each lyric room to breathe. Garden State is a musical coming-of-age story, rich with nostalgia, warmth, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Fans can now experience Garden State live as Zucker takes his Welcome to the Garden State Tour across North America before heading to Australia later this fall. The tour features stops in major cities, including San Diego, Nashville, New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles, with tickets on sale now.

Following his acclaimed brent iii collaboration with Chelsea Cutler and recent releases like “Cozy” with Lauv and Alexander 23, Jeremy Zucker continues to prove his artistry knows no bounds. Garden State represents not only where he came from but who he has become — and it’s out now everywhere.

Canadian alt-metal powerhouses The Veer Union are back with their electrifying new single “Sea of Fear,” out now via Arising Empire. Accompanied by a gripping music video, the track channels raw emotion and heavy intensity, marking the next bold chapter in the band’s evolution.

“Sea of Fear” blends the group’s signature hard-hitting riffs with haunting melodies and powerful lyricism. The Vancouver-based band delivers an anthem rooted in anxiety, resilience, and the human will to overcome. It’s a reminder of why The Veer Union remain one of the most dynamic acts in modern rock — unafraid to explore vulnerability while keeping their sound unapologetically heavy.

With more than 175 million global streams and 12 Billboard Rock Radio hits to their name, The Veer Union continue to push boundaries and inspire fans across generations. Their recent success with Covers Collection and Manifestations reignited their connection with audiences worldwide, setting the stage for what promises to be a massive year ahead.

Rising Country Star Callum Kerr Makes His Mark With Debut EP ‘Roots Under Me’

0

Scottish-born, Texas-raised, and Nashville-based country singer/songwriter Callum Kerr is carving out his place in country music with the release of his debut EP Roots Under Me, available now via ONErpm/Huff Co. Produced by Dann and David Huff, the collection blends heart, grit, and storytelling in a way that feels both timeless and refreshingly modern. It’s no surprise Holler Country named him one of “10 Country & Americana Artists You Need to Know.”

“I’m extremely proud of how this turned out,” says Callum. “It’s got a little bit of everything – love songs, drinking songs, heartbreak anthems…basically, a country mixtape with all the essentials.” Each track showcases his distinctive blend of soulful vocals and Southern charm, proving Kerr’s versatility as both a performer and songwriter.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. Callum will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on July 26th after receiving a personal invitation from country chart-topper Dustin Lynch. “It was a really cool moment to be invited and a real honour,” Callum shares. “The last time I was at the Opry, I wouldn’t even stand in the circle around the microphone; I wanted to wait until I was invited to stand in that circle. And now, on July 26th, I’ll be able to stand there and sing one of my songs.”

Following a strong showing at CMA Fest earlier this year, Callum is gearing up to announce new tour dates soon. With Roots Under Me, he delivers a debut that captures both his journey and his roots, signaling the rise of a bold new voice in country music.
