10 Songs That Feel Like Summer

Some songs don’t just play in the background, they change the temperature in the room. Windows roll down. Shoes come off. The day stretches a little longer. Whether it’s a beach drive, a backyard hang, or a late sunset that refuses to quit, these tracks carry that unmistakable summer charge.

“Cruel Summer” – Taylor Swift
Bright, urgent, and just a little chaotic, this one feels like sprinting through city streets at golden hour. It’s sweaty, breathless pop that captures the rush of a summer crush you know might burn out fast.

“Levitating” – Dua Lipa
Pure disco sunshine. The bassline bounces, the hook glows, and suddenly everything feels lighter. It’s the kind of song that makes even a grocery run feel like a rooftop party.

“Cake By The Ocean” – DNCE
Sugary, loud, and built for dancing without thinking too hard. It has that carefree energy of a beach day that turns into a night you didn’t plan but won’t forget.

“Feels” – Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean
This one practically smells like sunscreen and salt air. The groove is smooth, the vibe is effortless, and it slides perfectly into a late afternoon playlist when nobody’s ready to go home yet.

“Watermelon Sugar” – Harry Styles
Warm guitars and that laid-back pulse feel like heat rising off pavement. It’s sweet without being syrupy, and it captures that hazy, slow-motion kind of summer romance.

“Good as Hell” – Lizzo
Confidence turned all the way up. This track feels like getting dressed for a night out after a long beach day, hair still a little messy, mood fully restored.

“Island in the Sun” – Weezer
Soft, easygoing and nostalgic, this one feels like a memory even the first time you hear it. It’s built for hammocks, quiet roads and days that don’t need a schedule.

“Old Town Road” – Lil Nas X
Playful and impossible to ignore. The bounce and repetition make it perfect for blasting from a car stereo with the windows down, volume just slightly too high.

“Walking on Sunshine” – Katrina and the Waves
No subtlety here, just pure joy. It’s the musical equivalent of stepping outside and realizing the weather is exactly what you hoped for.

“Heat Waves” – Glass Animals
Dreamy and a little moody, like summer nights that linger past midnight. It hums instead of shouts, making it perfect for that quiet drive home when the sky is still warm but the air is finally cool.

Character actor Peter Greene, best known for his chilling turn as Zed in ‘Pulp Fiction,’ died from an accidental gunshot wound, according to the New York City medical examiner. Greene was 60. He was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Dec. 12, and the manner of death has now been officially ruled an accident.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the left axilla, with injury to the brachial artery. No additional details were released. Greene’s passing was first reported in December, with confirmation from his manager, Gregg Edwards.

Greene built a career playing intense and often menacing characters. In 1994 alone, he appeared in both Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘The Mask,’ starring opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. Lil Poppa, the Jacksonville-born rapper born Janarious Mykel Wheeler, has died at the age of 25. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his passing on February 18. An autopsy is scheduled, and the cause of death remains under investigation. News of his death has sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community and among his devoted fanbase.

Poppa had just released his latest single, “Out of Town Bae,” days before his passing. Foo Fighters Return With Snarling “Your Favorite Toy” From 12th Studio Album

0

Foo Fighters are back with “Your Favorite Toy,” the title track and first single from their upcoming 12th studio album ‘Your Favorite Toy,’ out April 24 via Roswell Records and RCA Records. The release marks the band’s first new music of 2026 and sets the tone for a record that pushes their sound into sharp new territory while keeping their unmistakable punch intact. Here it here and below.

Driven by jagged guitar lines and dark keyboard stabs, “Your Favorite Toy” locks into a relentless groove as Dave Grohl delivers one of his most biting vocal performances to date. The chorus lands hard with the hook, “Someone threw away your favorite toy for good,” turning the track into an instant earworm with an edge. It is bold, infectious and wired tight.

Grohl shared, “‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

Recorded at home, the album was co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, engineered by Roman and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent. The 10-track set includes “Caught In The Echo,” “Of All People,” “Window,” “If You Only Knew,” “Spit Shine,” “Unconditional,” “Child Actor,” “Amen, Caveman,” and “Asking For A Friend.” The release launches the band’s Take Cover world tour beginning June 10 in Oslo, following festival headlines at Welcome to Rockville and Bottlerock.

The Bacon Brothers Launch “People In The World Tour” This May

0

The Bacon Brothers are thrilled to announce their upcoming People In The World Tour, launching on May 1st in Senatobia, Mississippi, and criss-crossing the country through early fall. The tour takes its name from the band’s anthemic single released in fall 2025.

“‘People In The World’ evokes the spirit of classic social anthems in the tradition of ‘We Are The World’ and ‘People Got To Be Free,’” explains Michael Bacon, who wrote the song. “It’s always a scary thrill to put out a new song, and it’s even more exciting to collaborate with Mare, who is a soulful vocalist from Philadelphia that we collaborated with.” “It wasn’t an easy song to pull off — it took time, care, and real feeling to make it pop — but I can’t wait to play it live alongside a bunch of new songs.”

Kevin adds, “I’m always excited to get out there and share the music with people. Some of my fondest memories are of going to shows — watching players play and singers sing — and feeling that sense of community. There’s something magical about sharing a special night like that with an audience, and that feeling is something you only get in a live show.”

In conjunction with the tour, The Bacon Brothers are partnering with SixDegrees.org to celebrate everyday kindness nationwide. Fans will be invited to nominate individuals they deem “good humans” — people who make their communities better. Winners will be selected and honored in each tour market throughout the run.

The Bacon Brothers — Michael and Kevin Bacon — have spent more than three decades honing a unique blend of folk, rock, soul, and country they call Forosoco. Their music and live performances have taken them around the world, from headlining in Japan to playing iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry.

With 12 albums to their name and a reputation for heartfelt, genre-defying music, The Bacon Brothers continue to captivate audiences. Their latest release, The Ballad of the Brothers, has garnered praise for its depth, craftsmanship, and authenticity.
