Inhaler Unveil Anthemic New Single ‘Hole In The Ground’

0

Irish rockers Inhaler return with their soaring new single ‘Hole In The Ground,’ out now on Polydor Records. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios with Grammy and Brit Award-winning producer Kid Harpoon, the track marks their first release since the chart-topping album Open Wide and arrives just in time for their sold-out headline show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

‘Hole In The Ground’ captures Inhaler at their most cinematic, weaving melancholic hooks, glimmering guitars, and a hypnotic pulse into a soundscape that’s both intimate and immense. Frontman Eli Hewson shares, “To us, ‘Hole In The Ground’ is a song that was born out of our stream of consciousness. Some time away from writing allowed us to go into the studio with a sort of blank slate which felt inspiring. It can be hard to talk about the meaning of your own songs sometimes but we see it as something fragile growing amongst a wreckage. Or that last blurry memory you have of a person. It’s sort of a meditation on hope and keeping yourself awake to life.”

The release caps off a landmark year for Eli Hewson, Robert Keating, Ryan McMahon, and Josh Jenkinson. Their third album Open Wide debuted at #1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart and reached #2 in the UK, with the band embarking on their biggest tour yet. The Open Wide World Tour included two sold-out nights at Brixton Academy, a triumphant arena show in Liverpool, and appearances across Europe, North America, and Asia, plus standout festival sets at Glastonbury and TRNSMT.

Produced by Kid Harpoon, Open Wide showcases Inhaler’s ability to fuse jubilant pop melodies with rock energy and intricate grooves. Drawing from influences like T. Rex, Depeche Mode, Prince, and MGMT, the record refined their euphoric sound and cemented their status as one of the defining modern guitar bands of their generation.

Since forming in 2018, Inhaler have sold over half a million albums worldwide and amassed more than 500 million streams. From It Won’t Always Be Like This to Cuts & Bruises and now Open Wide, the Dublin quartet continue to evolve — and ‘Hole In The Ground’ stands as another milestone in their electrifying rise.

R&B Pop Star Chxrry Unleashes Addictive New Single “Groupie”

0

Rising R&B-pop star Chxrry is back with a vengeance, kicking off her next era with the sultry and intoxicating new single “Groupie,” out now via XO Records/Republic Records. With its lush strings, seductive beat, and hypnotic vocals, “Groupie” captures the whirlwind rush of falling for someone who turns your world upside down. The track’s infectious hook and glimmering production mark another bold step forward for the Toronto-born artist.

“‘Groupie’ is a conceptual portrayal of the intoxicating and irrational obsession that hits when you first like someone,” Chxrry shares. “The masked man represents desire itself – faceless because he could be anyone, he isn’t a person so much as a feeling. Around him, you’re both powerful and undone: the star everyone wants, but also the woman who craves to be wanted by him more than anything else.”

“Groupie” follows Chxrry’s breakout hit “Main Character,” which became a defining anthem of 2025. The empowering track racked up millions of streams and earned praise from ESSENCE GU, RatedR&B, and i-D, who hailed it as “a pivotal moment in a breakout year.” The song also soundtracked viral moments from Chlöe Bailey, WNBA star Angel Reese, and Love Island winner Amaya Papaya, cementing Chxrry as a major voice in R&B-pop.

Earlier this year, Chxrry joined FLO on their sold-out “Access All Areas Tour” and took the stage alongside Rema at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. She also appeared on The Weeknd’s chart-topping Hurry Up Tomorrow, leaving a memorable voicemail on “Reflections Laughing” featuring Travis Scott and Florence + The Machine. After two acclaimed EPs — The Other Side and Siren — and standout collaborations with Offset and Mariah The Scientist, Chxrry is now readying her full-length debut album for 2026.

A boundary-breaking force blending sensuality, confidence, and emotional honesty, Chxrry continues to redefine what modern R&B-pop can sound like. With “Groupie,” she proves she’s not just the “Main Character” — she’s the whole story.

Becky G’s Intimate New Film ‘REBBECA’ Hits Theaters for Two Nights Only

0

Global superstar Becky G invites fans into her world with REBBECA, a deeply personal new film debuting in theaters for two nights only, December 10 and 13. Presented by Live Nation Studios and Trafalgar Releasing, REBBECA premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival and captures Becky during one of the most transformative periods of her life — a season of healing, self-discovery, and artistic evolution. Tickets go on sale November 6.

Filmed while preparing for her first-ever headlining tour and creating her debut Música Mexicana album ESQUINAS, REBBECA documents Becky not at her destination, but in the climb. It’s a story of growth, family, and forgiveness. Through vulnerable conversations with loved ones and candid reflections, she opens up about love, loss, and the messy, beautiful process of becoming whole.

“This film isn’t about perfection,” Becky shares. “It’s about becoming. REBBECA was filmed in a moment of personal transition, when the questions were still louder than the answers. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s healing.” The film will also feature a special message from Becky to fans and never-before-seen performance footage, making the event a heartfelt celebration of resilience and creativity.

Directed by Jennifer Tiexiera and Gabriela Cavanagh, REBBECA was executive produced by Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino for Live Nation Studios, with Mark Ford and Pat Lambert serving as executive producers for Creature Films and Entertainment One. Becky G, Alejandra Esquivias, Marc Jordan, Mecia Hollar, and Benjamin Tischker are also executive producers, alongside co-executive producers Jessica James Batista, Vaughn Trudeau, and Laura Avila Tacsan.

REBBECA is a testament to Becky G’s authenticity, resilience and strength,” says Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing. “Her story is both timely and timeless, and we’re proud to help fans experience it collectively on the big screen.”

The film follows Becky’s creative momentum after the success of ESQUINAS, which celebrated her Mexican-American heritage and earned critical acclaim. Her newest album ENCUENTROS continues that journey, exploring vulnerability and self-acceptance while honoring her cultural roots. With REBBECA, Becky G brings her story full circle — a portrait of an artist and woman still learning, healing, and evolving.

Femme Fatale Ignite with Fiery New Single “Bad Love”

Femme Fatale are back and blazing brighter than ever. Decades after setting the Sunset Strip on fire with their self-titled debut, the iconic 80s glam-metal outfit return with their explosive new single “Bad Love.” Fronted by the unstoppable Lorraine Lewis, the track follows their comeback single “Living Like There’s No Tomorrow,” which made waves earlier this year. With “Bad Love,” Femme Fatale have reignited the spark that made them one of rock’s most magnetic forces.

Directed by Vicente Cordero and filmed by David Hernandez, the video for “Bad Love” is pure visual adrenaline. True to its name, the production features real flames, fire performers, and even a special appearance by Eva Angelina, a real firefighter from the adult industry. “And yes,” Lorraine confirms. “That’s real fire. We also brought in some incredible fire performers and even a real firefighter from the adult industry named Eva Angelina. Without giving too much away, let’s just say the video is HOTTT!”

Written by Lorraine alongside guitarist and producer Steve Brown and guitarist David Julian, “Bad Love” dives deep into the tension between passion and danger. “It’s about that magnetic kind of connection you know isn’t good for you, but you keep going back anyway,” Lorraine explains. “It’s messy, it’s addictive, and it’s real. I wanted to capture that push-and-pull between desire and self-preservation. We’ve all been there. We see the red flag and still jump in headfirst… but if that red flag’s on fire? Baby, that’s your cue to run.”

Steve Brown brought together an all-star lineup for the track, featuring Joey Cassata on drums, Sean McNabb on bass, and a blistering guitar solo from Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal. The result is a hard-hitting anthem that channels the spirit of classic Femme Fatale while pushing their sound into scorching new territory.

As Lorraine puts it best, “There’s no faking that heat.” “Bad Love” is proof that Femme Fatale’s fire never faded — it’s only grown hotter.

Rachael Sage & The Sequins Release Heartfelt New Folk-Pop Album ‘Canopy’

0

Beloved folk-pop artist Rachael Sage and her longtime band The Sequins have unveiled their radiant new album Canopy via MPress Records. A beacon of hope and compassion, Canopy explores themes of acceptance, inclusivity, and emotional safety through songs that shimmer with humanity and heart. Across its 14 tracks, Sage channels her signature blend of Americana, pop, and neo-folk into a project that feels both deeply personal and powerfully universal.

“Canopy is the first album that I feel reflects every aspect of my artistry, not only as a singer, producer, and musician, but also as a songwriter,” shares Sage. “I’d like to say this is because the album is full of brand-new songs, but some of them were composed when I was a teenager or in my 20’s. The title track just fell out after one too many late-night doomscrolls where the amount of violence and discord I digested in the span of a few minutes was so intense and so demoralizing that I wanted to crawl into a hole and stay there. They’re among the most honest lyrics I’ve ever written, but it very quickly formed an almost visceral image of an entire album focused on inclusiveness, acceptance, safety and empathy started to crystallize in my mind.”

In celebration of release week, Sage has also shared the video for “Live It Up,” a joyous behind-the-scenes glimpse at her band in their element. Inspired by Dionne Farris’ hit “I Know,” the video captures spontaneous moments of laughter, connection, and creativity, echoing the spirit of the song — a reminder to find joy and unity in everyday collaboration.

Produced by Rachael Sage alongside GRAMMY-nominated engineer Mikhail Pivovarov, Canopy features performances from a talented roster of longtime collaborators including Kelly Halloran (Goo Goo Dolls), Trina Hamlin (Susan Werner), and Ward Williams (Sara Bareilles). Mixed by Pivovarov and GRAMMY-winner Andy Zulla (Kelly Clarkson, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross), the record brims with warmth and empathy.

“When I recorded the songs with my band The Sequins it really felt like a metaphor; this group of beautiful, brilliant humans have been and continue to be a kind of shelter and safe place for me,” Sage concludes. “We are all very good friends and there’s a solidness and sense of gratitude when we come together that just felt like a kind of antidote in these chaotic times, so I decided to debut our Rachael Sage & The Sequins moniker for the first time with this recording. It’s so nice to be able to give them their ‘flowers’ as being an integral part of the arrangement and performances on these tracks – and I hope listeners can feel how the affection we have in and out of the studio is embedded on Canopy.”

Cure’s Robert Smith on guitar. The track is the first glimpse of the band’s long-awaited album arriving in 2026 and channels the emotional storm of grief, love, and mental illness through a haunting, propulsive sound.

Singer and lyricist James Graham shares, “Waiting For The Phone Call is about grief, love, and mental illness. These things took over my life and I became ill. I lost the person most important to me in one of the cruellest ways. I’ve always used writing as a method of processing and coping with my emotions. We’ve all been waiting on a phone call that can change our lives at some point. This unfortunately focuses on a phone call that you never want to have.”

Tony Banks Book Celebrates the Magician of Genesis

0

Tony Banks, the visionary keyboardist and songwriter behind Genesis, is finally getting his own spotlight in Tony Banks: Man of Spells – The Magician of Genesis. Written by Italian music journalist Mario Giammetti, the book explores the life and artistry of one of rock’s most creative forces. Giammetti, who has already penned 15 books about Genesis, including Genesis – 1967 to 1975: The Peter Gabriel Years and Genesis – 1975 to 2025: The Phil Collins Years, brings his deep knowledge and insight to this long-overdue profile.

The new release dives into both Banks’s monumental career with Genesis and his often-underappreciated solo work, offering a complete view of an artist whose compositions helped shape progressive rock’s golden age. The book is based on extensive interviews conducted by Giammetti over the years with Banks and others close to him, painting a detailed and personal portrait of the musician’s evolution.

More than 100 images are featured throughout the book, including rare and previously unseen photographs that bring readers closer to the creative world of Banks. For fans, it’s both a visual archive and an intimate chronicle of one of rock’s great minds.

“While there have been various books written by or about all the other major players in Genesis, there has until now never been one focused exclusively on Tony Banks,” says Gregory Spawton, co-owner of Kingmaker Publishing. “We felt it was important to shine a brighter light on his life and career.”

Tony Banks: Man of Spells – The Magician of Genesis will be released on February 19 and is available now for preorder, inviting Genesis fans and music lovers alike to rediscover the man whose spellbinding sound helped define an era.
