Rock Guitar Powerhouse Orianthi Unleashes New Single ‘Dark Days Are Gone’ From Her Album ‘Some Kind Of Feeling’

0

Critically acclaimed guitarist and singer Orianthi will release her new single “Dark Days Are Gone” on Thursday October 16th. The new single is accompanied with an official music video that can be seen below. This is the fifth single taken from her critically acclaimed studio album Some Kind Of Feeling. Released by Woodward Avenue Records, the album is available on CD, vinyl, and digital HERE.

Orianthi produced three songs from the new album including “First Time Blues,” “Ghost,” and “Bad For Each Other.” The remaining seven songs on the album, including the new single “Dark Days Are Gone,” are produced by Kevin “The Caveman” Shirley (Black Country Communion, Beth Hart,  Joe Bonamassa).

Seems nothing can ever be written about the multi-talented veteran artist without mentioning her collaborations with Alice CooperDave Stewart and Richie Sambora, and the fact that Michael Jackson hired her for his London performances the year of his untimely death.

Her success as an artist in her own right, started with her Top 20 Billboard pop hit “According to You” and gold-selling Geffen album Believe (2009). While playing with legends over the years, she’s continued to build her discography with numerous albums on different labels.

Her prolific streak of stylistically diverse singles released by Woodward Avenue Records – “First Time Blues” featuring Joe Bonamassa, “Ghost,” “Some Kind of Feeling,” and “Attention,” launches a fresh, adventurous new phase of her solo career, an era of exciting creativity and powerhouse rock and roll.

With every new single, Orianthi reminds us that she’s at the top of her game in every way, finding fresh, vulnerable yet attitude-filled musical stories to tell, and allowing us to experience the guitar chops that have made her a modern-day rock icon.

Electronic Innovator Fred again.. Expands His USB002 Universe with ‘the floor’ Remixes Featuring Skin On Skin and BEAM

0

Fresh off a whirlwind global rollout, Fred again.. is back with “the floor (fred remix)” and “the floor (skin on skin remix)”, featuring Skin On Skin and BEAM. These new remixes mark the third release from Fred’s new USB002 chapter, following “OGdub” with Danny Brown, BEAM & PARISI and “you’re a star” with Amyl and the Sniffers.

And he’s not stopping there. Fred’s ten songs, ten shows, ten cities, ten weeks mission continues tonight at Madrid’s IFEMA, joined by Skin On Skin, DREA and Toccororo. Last week’s stop in Brussels saw Fred team up with KOMA, LAURAVIOLI, DC Noises and SHOPLIFTER, all performing inside a mind-bending installation by Boris Acket that’s following the tour city to city.

Fred even popped by GIMIC Radio, the local Brussels station founded by KOMA, for a surprise set with the full USB002 lineup.

The journey began back in 2022 with the first USB series, loaded with fan favorites like “Baby Again,” “Rumble” with Skrillex & Flowdan, “Jungle,” “leavemealone” with Baby Keem and “stayinit” with Lil Yachty, plus remixes from Nia Archives, HAAi and Rico Nasty. That first era culminated in 2024 with USB001 on vinyl.

Now, Fred again.. is proving once more that no artist is pushing the boundaries of collaboration, connection, and sound quite like he is.

Danish Electro-Pop Visionary Hannah Schneider Brings Human Touch to AI Era with New Album ‘In This Room’

0

At a time when AI is taking over the music industry, Hannah Schneider takes a different path on her new album ‘In This Room’ which is scheduled for release in Spring 2026. In a desire for human presence in the recording process, Hannah invited musicians she admired into her residency at the historical Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen to create music.

’If these walls could talk, what would they say?’ was the inspiration behind the process. There, in the Thorvaldsens Museum, the composition and recording phase was turned on its head to investigate what happens when acoustic orchestral instruments are the very starting point. The new music is based on string effects, organic sounds, breathing and overtones, and is a distinctive mix of electronic beats, catchy melodies and modern compositions.

Produced with longtime collaborator Christian Balvig (When Saints Go Machine, and arranger for BBC Proms) and featuring Efterklang frontman Caspar Clausen, and drummer and vocalist Øyunn, amongst others, Hannah Schneider’s new record see’s her in a new lane to her previous critically acclaimed solo albums, but with the same brilliance that has established her as as one of the strongest voices in Denmark throughout her career. Her music has been used extensively in film, television and on some of the largest theater stages in Scandinavia and in 2023 and 2024 she won the Danish composers prize ‘Carl Prisen’ together with the contemporary jazz duo Kaleiido, for her work on the albums “Elements” and “Places”.

As a composer, Hannah has made a strong mark in recent years, where she has created commissioned pieces for several of the essential museums and cultural institutions across Denmark. From 2016-2021, Hannah was one half of the electronic duo AyOwA, which combine noise pop with vapor wave and melodies with improvisation in an atmospheric and playful mix with a dreamy approach. The duo has received international attention with their remarkable sound and songs, and has received airplay from  BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music and press acclaim from The Huffington Post, Wonderland Magazine and  Clash to name a few. Hannah is also part of the performance duo Philip | Schneider, who create seductive spatial compositions and installations that engage the body, ears and mind. Starting from the voice, they explore the boundaries between the worlds of music and art.

All of these recent developments and experiences have fed wonderfully into ’In This Room’, the first taster of which is Hannah’s vibrant new single ‘Lighthouse’, which she’s now ready to unveil. Bursting with anticipation, ’Lighthouse’ describes the dizzying state of waking up in the middle of a troubling dream. With swirling strings and electronic beats, the track captures the listener in a chilling embrace.

Texas Country Goes Global as Dylan Gossett Blazes a Trail with Debut Album ‘Westward’

0

A rising face of Texas Country, multi-platinum certified and critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Dylan Gossett proudly presents his anxiously awaited debut album, Westward, out now via Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. Listen to Westward here.

This 17-track body of work invites audiences to ride shotgun with Gossett on a personal journey soundtracked by his eloquent songcraft, his signature blend of Americana and Red Dirt influences, and the kinds of heartfelt tunes born from the heart of Texas Country yet universal enough to resonate worldwide.

Among many standouts, “Hangin’ On” hitches to briskly strummed acoustic guitar propelled by an upbeat rhythm. It culminates on a chant, “‘Cause I’ll be gone in time, so I’ll just toe the line.” Watch a live performance of “Hangin’ On” from Austin’s Orb Studios HERE. Bright chords set the tone for “Snake Eyes.” Rolling the dice and taking a chance on love, he laments, “What do you know, it’s snake eyes.” It builds towards a raw and relatable refrain, “Don’t act like I’ve got nothing to lose, don’t act like you don’t damn well know the truth, ’cause it ain’t just me, it always takes two.” Then, there’s the knockout finale “Baptized By Rain.” Backed by strains of soft guitar, he paints a vivid picture as he embraces the moment, “I push it all away, while I’m getting baptized by rain.” Elsewhere, “Lord Will You Carry Me” sends a prayer upstairs and highlights his powerhouse voice at the same time. Gentle finger-picking underlines “Song About You” as he pulls everyone closer, “Sit on down, let me write a song about you.”

Ultimately, the album affirms Dylan as an essential voice in country, Americana, and folk. Dylan paved the way for the record with previously released singles “Like I Do,” “American Trail,” and “Sweet Lady.” The latter is already approaching 5 million Spotify streams with Country Central professing, “Dylan Gossett’s brand of alternative country is steadily taking shape, with a sound that’s every bit as spirited as his earthy, baritone voice.”

Written over the span of the past two years while touring the globe, the 17-track Westward album was written and entirely self-produced by Gossett. It features his signature heart-on-his-sleeve storytelling and explores themes of love, family, faith, and chasing one’s dreams.

“I think Westward means two things, generally. This album is very on-the-road written. You have all these bits and pieces from these stories that are really just about life on the road. The other side of it, and where the Westward title comes into play, was that these past few years have been so crazy and just incredible. I feel like we’ve been chasing our dream the whole way. People have always headed west for opportunities and chase their dreams by going out there. That’s where I tie it in a little bit, metaphorically. Everyone in the crew is chasing their dreams, in some way.”

The New Tour Bus: How Crypto is Changing the Game for Musicians, From NFTs to Getting Paid

0

By Mitch Rice

If you’re an artist, or even just a passionate music fan, you know the story. It’s a tale as old as time, or at least as old as the record industry. A musician pours their heart and soul into creating something beautiful, something that connects with people on a deep level. And then… the industry steps in. A complex web of labels, publishers, streaming platforms, and middlemen, all taking a slice of the pie. By the time the money trickles down to the actual creator, it can feel like pennies on the dollar. It’s frustrating. It feels broken. And for decades, it’s just been… the way it is.

Crypto’s Role in Empowering Musicians

But what if it didn’t have to be? What if there was a way to bypass the gatekeepers and create a direct line between the artist and the fan? A way for creators to have real ownership and control over their work and their finances. It sounds like a pipe dream, but it’s starting to happen. And it’s all thanks to a technology that most of us still associate with confusing charts and internet hype: cryptocurrency.

Now, hold on. Before you click away thinking this is some tech-bro sermon, hear me out. This isn’t about getting rich quick on some meme coin. This is about a fundamental shift in power. At its core, the technology behind crypto—the blockchain—is just a secure, transparent way to record things. Transactions, ownership, agreements… you name it. And because it’s decentralized, it doesn’t need a big bank or a major label to verify everything. That simple fact is a potential game-changer for musicians.

Think about it. What if you could receive payments for your music directly from fans, anywhere in the world, without a bank taking a cut or a platform holding your money for weeks? That’s happening right now. Companies like UnitedMasters, a distribution platform for independent artists, have partnered with Coinbase to give their artists the choice to be paid in crypto. It gives artists more control and transparency over their earnings. It’s about financial empowerment, plain and simple.

And it’s not just small indie artists. The biggest names in the business are getting on board. The Weeknd partnered with the crypto exchange Binance for his ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ world tour, calling it the “first crypto-powered world tour.” The collaboration included an exclusive NFT collection for fans and a $2 million donation to his humanitarian fund, funded by Binance. This isn’t just a gimmick; it’s a major artist using this new technology to create unique fan experiences and support causes they care about, all outside the traditional sponsorship model.

This is where things get really interesting for the future of the artist-fan relationship. We’re talking about Non-Fungible Tokens, or NFTs. I know, the term has been thrown around a lot, but think of an NFT as a unique, digital certificate of ownership. For musicians, this opens up a whole new world. The rock band Kings of Leon released an entire album as an NFT. Electronic producer Deadmau5 has sold digital collectibles and accepted crypto for his merch for years. It’s a way to create true, verifiable scarcity for digital art in a way that was never possible before. It allows fans to own a piece of their favorite artist’s work, not just stream it. This creates a deeper connection and a new revenue stream that goes directly to the artist.

The Crypto Revolution: Empowering Artists in the New Digital Economy

This new digital economy, built on the rails of crypto, is popping up everywhere. It’s giving people more control over their finances in all sorts of unexpected areas. The same principles of speed, privacy, and lower fees that are empowering musicians are also transforming other industries. It’s moved beyond just art and music into entertainment and gaming, with some platforms, like certain asian bookies, now operating almost entirely within this new crypto-first world, showing just how far the tech has come. These platforms appeal to users for the exact same reasons this technology appeals to artists: they cut out the middleman and offer a more direct, efficient experience.

The point isn’t that musicians should get into sports betting. Of course not. The point is that the world is changing, and the financial tools we use are changing with it. For so long, artists have been at the mercy of a system that wasn’t built for them. It was built for the distributors. Crypto and blockchain offer a chance to flip that script. It’s a tool that enables crowdfunding for a new album, direct royalty payments, and unique digital merch that fans can truly own.

It’s still early days, for sure. It can feel a bit messy and confusing, like the early days of the internet. But the potential is undeniable. For any artist trying to build a career on their own terms, understanding this shift isn’t just a good idea—it’s essential. It’s about taking back control, one block on the chain at a time. The new tour bus might just be digital, and it’s being fueled by a whole new kind of currency.

11 Love Songs That Don’t Say “Love”

Love doesn’t always need to say its name. Some of the most heartfelt songs skip the word entirely but still hit you right in the feels. These tracks whisper, wink, and weep their affection without ever using the four-letter word. Here are 11 songs that prove you don’t have to say “love” to mean it.

“Always Be My Baby” – Mariah Carey
Mariah’s 1996 classic wraps devotion in the sweetest melody ever written. She never says the word, but every vocal run feels like a promise that what you had will never fade away.

“Because the Night” – Patti Smith Group
Written with Bruce Springsteen, this anthem burns with longing and physical connection. It’s passion in its purest, rawest form — no need to spell it out.

“Crazy for You” – Madonna
Madonna trades her dancefloor edge for a slow, shimmering ballad. Every breathy whisper pulls you closer, proving desire can speak volumes without the word “love.”

“Everlong” – Foo Fighters
Dave Grohl turned late-night vulnerability into one of rock’s most emotional declarations. “If everything could ever feel this real forever” might be the most romantic line ever written.

“I Will Always Be There for You” – Marlon Jackson
A hidden gem from the Jackson family’s solo era, this ballad glides on pure sincerity. It’s devotion at its most understated — no grand gestures, just loyalty in melody form.

“Just the Way You Are” – Billy Joel
Billy skips clichés and instead praises imperfection. It’s the soundtrack to steady, everyday affection — genuine, simple, and timeless.

“Need You Tonight” – INXS
Michael Hutchence didn’t have to say “love” — his voice said everything. It’s lust, electricity, and emotional honesty packed into one irresistible groove.

“Something” – The Beatles
George Harrison’s masterpiece captures adoration in the smallest gestures. “Something in the way she moves” is more poetic than any straight confession could be.

“Time After Time” – Cyndi Lauper
If love had patience, it would sound like this. Cyndi’s gentle vocals promise comfort through chaos, no “I love you” required.

“Your Song” – Elton John
It’s a song so personal it feels like a gift. The honesty in Bernie Taupin’s lyrics makes “love” unnecessary — you already feel it between every line.

“You’re the One That I Want” – John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John
Grease’s grand finale bubbles with joy and attraction. It’s flirtation, harmony, and excitement rolled into three minutes of pure pop magic.

Kēvens Earns Grammy Consideration for ‘Call To Balance’ in Album of the Year and Global Album of the Year Categories

0

Visionary artist Kēvens has earned Grammy Awards consideration for his groundbreaking album ‘Call To Balance’ in the categories of Album of the Year and Global Album of the Year, recognizing his genre-defying blend of reggae, electronic, and world music that continues to inspire unity and transcend borders.

A bold, cinematic body of work, ‘Call To Balance’ weaves together powerful rhythms, immersive production, and deeply human storytelling. Across standout tracks including “Battle for Peace,” “Soñadores Legales,” “World Is Burning,” and “Sweet Lady Liberty,” Kēvens fuses the spiritual and the political into a sound that feels both timeless and urgently modern. His music, described as ReggaeEDM, is a testament to his lifelong mission: to bring people together through vibration, vision, and voice.

Born in Miami’s vibrant club scene and mentored by Cedella Marley Booker, mother of reggae legend Bob Marley, Kēvens’ career reflects a rare synthesis of heritage and innovation. From his early days performing with the Marley family’s Le Coup to sharing stages with icons like Steven Tyler, Carlos Santana, Tiësto, and Daft Punk, he has built a global following drawn to his message of positivity, spiritual awareness, and cultural connection.

“Music is my ministry,” says Kēvens. “I create to unite souls—to remind humanity that we share one rhythm, one heartbeat.” That ethos pulses through ‘Call To Balance’, which balances modern electronic textures with reggae’s organic roots, resulting in a transcendent listening experience that defies genre.

Praised by critics for its sonic craftsmanship and cultural relevance, ‘Call To Balance’ positions Kēvens as one of today’s most innovative and globally minded artists. The album’s seamless fusion of world rhythms, emotional storytelling, and masterful production exemplifies the kind of borderless artistry celebrated by the Recording Academy’s global categories.

As he continues his mission to bring light and balance through music, Kēvens’ nomination consideration marks not only a personal milestone but a recognition of a movement — one grounded in love, unity, and transformation.

“Positivity is a necessity,” Kēvens reminds us. “Music has the power to heal, to bridge divides, and to remind us of our shared humanity.”
