JUNO Fan Fare Presented by CBC Music takes over Metropolis at Metrotown
Thousands of fans will rush to Metropolis at Metrotown (4700 Kingsway #604, Burnaby) on Saturday, March 24 for the opportunity to meet their favourite Canadian artists at this year’s JUNO Fan Fare Presented by CBC Music. The afternoon will be hosted by CBC Music’s Odario Williams, Amanda Parris and CBC Vancouver’s Anita Bathe and offers fans a chance to get up close and personal with this year’s JUNO nominees (and others) as well as enjoy exciting live performances by Jess Moskaluke, High Valley, Ria Mae, Scott Helman, Tim Hicks and DAVE (Dave Ritter of The Strumbellas) will DJ the event. Fans can participate in giveaways and photo opportunities while meeting their favourite artists.
Appearing at JUNO Fan Fare for Selfie Sessions are Aaron Pritchett, Arkells, Chad Brownlee, Dallas Smith, Dan Davidson, Daniel Caesar, High Valley, James Barker Band, Jess Moskaluke, Marianas Trench, Lights, Ria Mae, Ruth B., Scott Helman, Shawn Hook, Theory, Tim Hicks and Virginia to Vegas.
JUNO Fan Fare Presented by CBC Music runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24. Fans can customize their experience from a selection of six artist photo sessions each featuring multiple artists. (Photo session one from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., photo session two from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and photo session three from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
Tickets are FREE and available starting Saturday, March 10 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET at junofanfare.ca. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

Artist Submissions Now Open For Mundial Montreal
Mundial Montréal, North America’s World Music Summit, invites artists to submit an application to be considered for a 25-minute showcase spot at their 8th annual conference on November 13 – 16, 2018. Their showcase program is extremely limited (approximately 30 spots) which do not compete with other activities/showcases in our program. The festival’s mission is to present the best world music artists from Canada, as well as international artists, to industry professionals and the Montreal public. Showcasing artists are selected from a blend of applications and invitations to create the right mix of emerging market-ready talent that reflects the needs of their talent buyer pool.

Going into its 8th edition, Mundial has exploded on the North American scene as THE place to be if you are working with global music in any capacity.

Artist Submissions Now Open For M for Montreal 2018
Would you like to play in front of more than 200 music industry professionals from 20+ countries at the fab M For Montreal conference? Would you like to have a chance to meet their delegates and generate solid career opportunities for your band?
To submit your band or artist, just fill in their official form by clicking the link here. Please note that an administration fee of $40 is required for each submission. This fee guarantees that your submission will be considered by the programming committee.
The call for submission will open on February 7 and close on April 6, 2018 and a response will be sent out mid-September at the latest.

Music Nova Scotia is once again running a contest in tandem with the Canadian Country Music Association for your chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play alongside Canada’s brightest country music stars and most cherished legends during the Canadian country music industry’s largest annual event. Country Music Week 2018, will be held in Hamilton, Ontario this year from September 6-9. The deadline for submissions is May 23, 2018 and you can go here to submit.
Artist Applications Are Now Open For Halifax Pop Explosion
Have you always wanted to showcase during Halifax Pop Explosion? Now’s your chance! Applications have officially opened for the 2018 edition. Early bird applications are 20$ until March 31 while regular applications are $25 until May 18. This year the festival will run from October 17-20, 2018 and artist must be available to play all of these dates.
Official/Family Showcase Applications Open for Folk Music Ontario
Official/Family showcase applications for Folk Music Ontario are now open! There are 36 official showcase and 2 family showcase slots available at the conference.
Criteria that the jury will consider can be downloaded here. The application fee for official/family showcase applications is $20 for FMO members and $40 for non-members.
Showcase applications will be accepted until April 30, 2018.

Showcase Submissions Now Open For AMERICANAFEST 2018
Showcase submissions are now open for the 2018 edition of AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, TN!
Applications will remain open until Monday, March 26 and applicants will have two ways to submit their artists. The first is through Americana’s digital platform for a small fee and the second is through the Americana Music Association’s membership portal.
Selected artists will get the opportunity to showcase in Nashville from September 11 through September 16 at premiere venues in the city.
The deadline to apply is coming up fast – March 26, 2018.
