Led Zeppelin will release a limited edition 7” single featuring 2 previously unheard mixes produced by Jimmy Page: the “Sunset Sound Mix” of “Rock And Roll” and the “Olympic Studios Mix” of “Friends.”
The single will be available as part of Record Store Day, exclusively from independent music retailers, on April 21, 2018.
“So just swing or fling a gathering, try to cling, ’cause It’s a Big Daddy thing.”
One of the greatest to ever bless the mic, Big Daddy Kane treated Tiny Desk to an office block party in the true essence of hip-hop. He performed a short set of classics, including “Smooth Operator,” “Ain’t No Half Steppin’,” “Raw” and a bonus freestyle. Through his warm, engaging and devilishly self-effacing style, the pioneer used an interlude between songs to address the intergenerational divisiveness defining rap today and the importance of fans of all ages supporting whatever they like, while “focusing on what’s positive and keeping that in the spotlight.”

Everything
Sophisticated pop with EDM with enough space to breathe deeply and dive in.

Classic
The French & American duo have racked up over 50 appearances on the music blog aggregator The Hype Machine, and save another spot for them with this song. Takes the listener on a fab journey from the pop sounds of 70s radio so well, you’ll check and make sure you’re not wearing bell-bottoms.
Malik Elarbi
It’s Always Sunny in Seattle
A huge step forward for him, mixing pop, rap and sleepy dope-smoking vibes. It’s the nearest thing you can get to stoned without inhaling.

Lock It Down
Finding enlightenment in reggae and island music, you’ll quickly realize just how close they are to matching Rhianna in terms of quality.

Temporary Solutions to Permanent Problems
Influenced by the gut-wrenching honesty of Linkin Park, you won’t find a rap-rock fusion here that strongly, but you will find just as much honesty and laid-back melody as the gang from Agoura Hills, California ever put on record.
Ryan Nealon
Magic (Coldplay cover)
Graduating from UCLA with Jazz Studies, they taught him well. But then again, I think artists like Ryan are born with a voice better than most of us could ever hope for. His cover here just shows you how far everyone else has to go to catch up.
Ethel & The Chordtones
Let It Out (feat. Ryan Levine)
Big-time rocker complete with hand claps and a killer chorus. This is the song you can blame when you get pulled over for a speeding ticket. And then you’ll play the song all over again because you were so rudely interrupted by the police.

Ashley Campbell is the daughter of Glen Campbell and his fourth wife Kimberly Woollen, and although she’s been around for a few years – She played banjo for her father during his farewell tour in 2011 and 2012, and also appeared in the video for Rascal Flatts’ 2012 single “Banjo” – she has just officially launched her solo career. Watch her perform below at the Paste Studios.
When the nascent The Rolling Stones began playing gigs around London in 1962, the notion that a rock & roll band would last five years, let alone fifty, was an absurdity. After all, what could possibly be more ephemeral than rock & roll, the latest teenage fad? Besides, other factors made it unlikely that such a momentous occasion would ever come to pass. “I didn’t expect to last until fifty myself, let alone with the Stones,” Keith Richards says with a laugh. “It’s incredible, really. In that sense we’re still living on borrowed time.”
In their 56th year of existing, The Rolling Stones have announced dates for the No Filter tour that will bring them to the U.K. and Europe from May to July. And there’s no sign of stopping. Guitarist Keith Richards wrote on the band’s Twitter account that they “haven’t finished yet. It’s still too early to talk about the Stones’ legacy. There’s one thing that we haven’t yet achieved and that’s to really find out how long you can do this. It’s still such a joy to play with this band that you can’t really let go of it.”

Following the announcement that 2018 would be its final cross-country run, the Vans Warped Tour extended family has released a retrospective video in celebrating the history and heart of the iconic tour. On the upcoming shows, Lyman has shared: “I truly am happy to get the chance to travel around the country one more time to thank you for your support, and bring you another best day ever.”
I have spent half of my adult life traveling alongside Kevin on the tour, connecting with bands and fans around the world,” Steve Van Doren recalls. “Bringing music and action sports to youth for over two decades has been a personal honor and I’m excited to hit the road on the last cross-country tour.”

The line up for the 2018 Vans Warped Tour, presented by Journeys, will be announced this Thursday, March 1st. General admission tickets will be available on Thursday, March 8th.
It was previously shared that this would be the final cross-country run for the tour, now in its 24th year. On the upcoming shows, founder Kevin Lyman has shared: “I truly am happy to get the chance to travel around the country one more time to thank you for your support, and bring you another best day ever.”
The Vans Warped Tour is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Originally conceived by founder Kevin Lyman in 1995 as an eclectic alternative rock festival, with a focus on punk rock, over the years the tour has grown to include a multitude of genres, including metal, hip hop, reggae, pop and more. It remains one of the best tours to attend to discover emerging acts, to learn more about wonderful non-profits and companies who are working to make a positive impact on the world that surround them, and to meet like-minded friends.
Over the past two decades, Vans Warped Tour has built a legacy as the must attend summer festival for rock and music lovers alike. Since its start in 1995 it has provided a platform for established as well as up-and-coming artists, with past performers including blink182, No Doubt, Sublime, Beck, Katy Perry, NOFX, Limp Bizkit, Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Eminem, Yellowcard, Bad Religion, and countless others.
In addition, the tour continues to host a wide array of amazing non-profits and educational workshops for attendees and 2018 will be launching The Preventum Initiative, focusing on youth and adolescent opioid prevention. Teens With a Purpose, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Donate Life New England, Planned Parenthood, Keep A Breast, Testicular Cancer Foundation, To Write Love on Her Arms, and Project HEAL will all be involved this summer, just to name a few. Fans can see their favorite bands as well as become educated on these causes and how they can help.
“I am very excited about the upcoming year. With it being the last tour, the non-profit presence will be as big as ever. Groups who have been out in the past will be coming out in more markets, and hopefully we will attract new non-profits,” comments Sierra Lyman. “With more non-profits coming out there will be more options for our audience to hopefully get involved before, during, and after the tour. I am hoping that this last year encourages non-profits to partner with bands and for bands to partner with non-profits on their own events and tours once this summer is over.”
Early Bird Tickets and Super Fan Bundles for this year’s tour on are sale now and can be purchased at here.
The 38-date tour, promoted by Live Nation, will commence June 21st in Pomona, CA and end on August 5th in West Palm, FL.
