Parker McCollum’s “What Kinda Man” Earns RIAA Gold Certification

0

Parker McCollum’s single “What Kinda Man” has become the artist’s latest song to achieve RIAA Certified Gold status. The single is off of McCollum’s self-titled album released earlier this year via MCA.

To celebrate, leading executives, friends and collaborators attended an intimate performance and conversation with McCollum including President and CEO of MCA, Mike Harris, EVP and General Manager of MCA, Katie McCartney, Red Light Management’s Enzo DeVincenzo and Nick Rhodes, Parker McCollum co-producers Frank Liddell and Eric Massey and more.

On June 27, 2025 McCollum released his 14-track self-titled album which was recorded in a seven-day period at the famed Power Station recording studio in New York City. McCollum set out with the intention to let this album reflect the most raw and authentic version of himself as an artist.

The collection includes a varied but cohesive selection of material – revisiting his “Permanent Headphones” which he wrote at 15, digs deep into dark storytelling with “My Blue,” and calling on his friend and fellow Texan Cody Johnson for a cover of Danny O’Keefe’s “Good Time Charlie’s Got the Blues.” Top to bottom the album is Parker McCollum on full display.

Ian Munsick Announces 2026 ‘The Eagle Flies Free Tour’ Following Acclaimed Album ‘Eagle Feather’

0

Building on the release of his third studio album, Eagle Feather, country singer-songwriter and rising star Ian Munsick will embark on the headlining The Eagle Flies Free Tour in early 2026.

Beginning February 13th in Charlotte, North Carolina, and featuring 17 dates with special guests Lanie Gardner, Ben Haggard, Tyler Nance, and Jake Worthington, the run will again highlight one of the most distinctive voices in modern country music – and his distinctive modern-Western style.

Sharing the news directly to fans after revealing his recent departure from his label, Warner Music Nashville, Munsick expressed his appreciation for their support, stating, “Of all the accomplishments and relationships I’ve made since I started my music career, one remains at the summit of the mountain; fans like you. You have allowed me to break the chains of Music Row and fly free. You were the reason I moved to Nashville in the first place and you are now the reason why I have the freedom to blaze my own trail.

“The Eagle Flies Free Tour will be our greatest tour yet,” he continues. “The bond you have with me and Rocky Mountain Fever is unlike anything I’ve experienced and it is an honor to witness night in and night out. Some of you have been to 10 + shows. Some of you might be coming to a show for the first time. Either way, this tour will be one of the best shows you’ve ever seen. Come fly with me.”

Presales will be available to members of Munsick’s official fan club starting Wednesday, October 8th, at 10 am local time. The presale ends Thursday, October 9th at 10 p.m. local, and all remaining tickets will be available to the public starting Friday, October 10th, at 10 am local.

Showcasing the vivid vocal howl made famous by gold-certified hits like “Long Live Cowgirls” with Cody Johnson, “Long Haul,” and “Horses Are Faster,” Munsick’s The Eagle Flies Free Tour will criss-cross the Western U.S. expanse this Wyoming native calls home, while also visiting Georgia, Indiana, Texas, and more.

Highlight stops will include a Valentine’s Day show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia; a March 5th stop at Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota; and a March 27th swing through the iconic Floores Country Store in Helotes, Texas, among other must-see moments.

Munsick’s pre-spring run will wrap up March 28th in Durant, Oklahoma, at the Choctaw Grand Theater, as he gears up for another summer on the road. VIP ticket offers will be available for all dates except March 28th in Durant, Oklahoma.

The follow-up to his 2025 Eagle Feather album, Munsick’s The Eagle Flies Free Tour continues a streak of touring success for the native son of Sheridan, Wyoming – including a history-making turn at the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days in July.

Headlining the iconic rodeo and Western lifestyle celebration, Munsick became the first Wyoming native to secure top-billing of the event’s musical lineup, playing songs from across his three albums – Coyote Cry, White Buffalo, and Eagle Feather.

Jelly Roll Scores Eighth Straight #1 With “Heart of Stone” From ‘Beautifully Broken’

0

With 21 genre-spanning Award wins and four GRAMMY nominations, Jelly Roll earns his eighth consecutive #1 at country radio with the powerful single “Heart of Stone.”

Featured on his critically acclaimed sophomore country album, Beautifully Broken, that debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart (all-genre), the vulnerable track finds a man pleading for redemption and rescue from his past mistakes. Following the album’s previous chart-toppers, like the beautifully crafted “I Am Not Okay” and the fiery “Liar” that dominated the country radio chart for six-straight weeks, the spurring “Heart of Stone” was written by Jelly with Zach Crowell, Blake Pendergrass and Shy Carter.

Currently nominated at this year’s CMA Awards on November 19 for his and Brandon Lake’s “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” Jelly Roll performed the hard-hitting duet as a part of the first concert at St. Peter’s Square, Grace for the World: The Live Event in Rome, which took place September 13 (Watch HERE) and was co-directed by global visionary Pharrell Williams and legendary Maestro Andrea Bocelli. The concert took place as Jelly celebrated the closing weekend of Post Malone’s BIG ASS World Tour on September 14 in Portugal.

From headlining Stagecoach and making his acting debut in the CBS drama, Fire Country, to being the first-ever “Artist In Residence” on this past season of American Idol and headlining Music City Rodeo – Nashville’s very first PRCA Rodeo – in May, to opening his Goodnight Nashville Bar on Broadway in the heart of Nashville, the genre-defying phenomenon has had a busy 2025 to say the least.

Next up, he’s a 3x nominee at the Dove Awards airing this Friday, October 10 on TBN, as “Hard Fought Hallelujah” is up for Song of the Year, Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year, and Short Form Music Video of the Year (Performance).

‘Join Me in L.A.’: Star-Studded Warren Zevon Tribute Set for United Theater

0

The Wild Honey Foundation and the Zevon Family will present Join Me in L.A.: The Songs of Warren Zevon on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 8 p.m. at the United Theater, 929 S. Broadway, in Downtown Los Angeles. This special concert will benefit The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and The Ed Asner Family Center for the Autism Community.

To celebrate the enduring brilliance of Los Angeles legend Warren Zevon, the Jordan Summers and Nick Vincent–led Wild Honey Orchestra and Friends will perform more than 25 songs spanning every era of Zevon’s storied career. Hosted by acclaimed rock journalist and author Chris Morris, the evening will showcase Zevon’s gritty, colorful, and deeply moving catalog. The concert will feature a rotating ensemble of Los Angeles’ finest musicians from the past 50 years, including many who collaborated with Zevon himself.

The lineup continues to grow, with recent additions Dwight Yoakam and David Marks of the original Beach Boys. They join a stellar cast that includes Jackson Browne, Jorge Calderón, Jordan Zevon, Shooter Jennings, Fountains of Wayne, and Marshall Crenshaw. Other performers will include Leland Sklar, Rick Marotta, Bob Glaub, Matt Cartsonis, Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, Phil Cody, Billy Valentine, Susan Cowsill, Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie, John Wesley Harding, Leslie Mendelson, Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate, Chris Stills, Inara George, and Eleni Mandell. Together, this extraordinary lineup will create an unforgettable and deeply emotional celebration of one of the greatest songwriters and performers of the last 50 years.

For musical co-director Jordan Summers, the project carries a deeply personal history. “When the P.E. coach called roll on the first day of 10th grade, two students answered ‘here’ to the name Jordan,” Summers recalls. “I was Jordan Summers, he was Jordan Zevon — Warren’s son. Despite my alphabetical advantage, we became instant friends and formed our first band a month later. Warren Zevon showed up to our first gig that year at Madame Wong’s. My best friend’s dad taught me ‘Werewolves of London’ over the phone. We went to his shows and recording sessions, and he even came to our rehearsals and once played my keyboard. My keyboard never forgave me for that. I was with Jordan through his father’s diagnosis, the day he passed, the funeral, and beyond. We’ve continued Warren’s legacy through performances supporting ADAO’s mesothelioma awareness efforts, where Jordan now serves as national spokesman. Getting to serve as musical director alongside Nick Vincent, another alphabetically disadvantaged soul with incomparable talent, is incredible. This show is both a tribute and a gathering of family, friends, and musicians, celebrating Warren just weeks before his long-awaited induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.”

The concert will support two vital organizations. The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), founded in 2004, is the largest independent asbestos victims’ group in the United States. It works to raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos exposure, provides a united voice for victims, and advocates nationally and internationally for a global asbestos ban. The Ed Asner Family Center (TEAFC), founded by Navah Paskowitz-Asner and Matthew Asner, offers comprehensive resources for individuals with special needs and their families. Inspired by their six children, three of whom are autistic, the Center fosters acceptance and enrichment through innovative programs, mental health services, and by proudly employing autistic self-advocates.

Since 1994, the Wild Honey Foundation has produced concerts, film screenings, fundraisers, and live stream events to benefit autism treatment, research, and members of the music community in need. A grassroots nonprofit, Wild Honey is dedicated to passing on the passion, creativity, and idealism of rock, rhythm & blues, folk, classical, and pop music to future generations. Over the years, the foundation has presented landmark events such as Big Star #1 Record with Jody Stephens, The Lovin’ Spoonful with John Sebastian, Steve Boone, and Joe Butler, Buffalo Springfield with Richie Furay, The Band with Garth Hudson, and Beach Boys tributes featuring Brian Wilson and Al Jardine. Notable participants in past shows include Jackson Browne, Lenny Kaye, Alex Chilton, The Bangles, Weird Al Yankovic, Micky Dolenz, Dave Alvin, Peter Buck and Mike Mills of R.E.M., Matthew Sweet, Carlene Carter, and many more.

Luke Combs Becomes Most RIAA-Certified Country Artist in History With 168 Million Units

0

Luke Combs has accomplished what many believed to be impossible, he has topped Garth Brooks and is now the highest RIAA certified country artist in history with 168 million units sold.

Of the achievement, Combs shares, “When my team first told me about this, my initial reaction was, ‘Are you sure? There’s no way.’ It was only 8 years ago that I got my first plaque for ‘Hurricane’ going gold. I knew then, without a doubt, I had the best fans in the world.

“The song had gone platinum before they could even give me the gold plaque. I’m super humbled by the fans’ belief in me and support of my music today and over the years. I know this does not happen without them.

“This achievement is more so theirs than it is mine. All I ever hoped and dreamed of from the beginning of this crazy ride was to make music that made people feel something and I can’t wait to continue making country music for the rest of my life.”

A Grand Ole Opry member and 11x CMA, 4x ACM, 6x Billboard Music Award-winner, Combs has recently collaborated with artists such as Post Malone (“Guy For That” + “Missin’ You Like This”), Bailey Zimmerman (“Backup Plan,” the 2025 SEC Network anthem), Jon Bellion (“WHY”) and Alex Warren (“Ordinary (Live at Lollapalooza)”), and partnered with Opry Entertainment Group to open Category 10; an entertainment complex in downtown Nashville.

Known for his electric shows, Combs recently made history as the first country artist ever to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Combs is also set to headline Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend, after topping the bill at all-genre festivals such as Newport Folk Festival and New Orleans JazzFest earlier this year. Combs also performed an unforgettable duet of “Fast Car” with Tracy Chapman at the 66th Grammy Awards and joined forces with Eric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor to headline “Concert for Carolina,” a special benefit show that raised over $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Gary LeVox and Akon Drop Global Remix “Hold the Umbrella (Party Mix)”

0

Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox and Grammy-nominated R&B/pop superstar Akon share “Hold the Umbrella (Party Mix)” via Big Machine Records. Following overwhelming fan response to the original track, this new release adds a fresh twist while complementing the global hit, and it’s set to take the celebration global.

“Hold The Umbrella (Party Mix)” builds on collaborations with two Latin music giants: De La Ghetto, a reggaeton star with more than 20 million monthly listeners and a string of Billboard hits, and Fernando & Sorocaba, Brazil’s pioneering sertanejo duo, Latin Grammy winners and arena-filling icons. Their contributions elevated “Hold The Umbrella” into a cross-cultural anthem.

Originally released on May 16th, “Hold The Umbrella” has quickly become an international anthem, garnering over three million streams worldwide, 3.2 million YouTube views, and 4.3 million TikTok views, with more than 134,000 engagements. Proving to be a true global vibe, the track continues to soar with Brazil shining as a powerhouse market, fueling 22 percent of Spotify activity, landing in four of the Top 10 cities, and delivering incredible fan energy. On TikTok, Brazilian creators have already generated 300K views and an astounding over 15 million reach, and the numbers are climbing.

The collaboration began when LeVox crossed paths with Akon on the nationally syndicated music television show The Song, presented by Hard Rock. Their instant creative chemistry sparked a unique blend of country, pop, and R&B, guided by the expertise of mega-producers Rudy Perez and Mickey Jack Cones. The music video was filmed at the beautiful Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and at the Big Machine 20th anniversary party on Broadway in front of the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee.
