Sylo Releases Bold New Single “Carve Me Out” Marking Sonic Shift After Breakthrough Year

Alt-R&B pace-maker Sylo today releases “Carve Me Out,” the first new single since his Tiny Desk Concert at the end of last year. Flirting with edgier, more electronic-leaning production that heralds the end of his sensitive era, Sylo shows how ever-evolving he is with his newfound freedom. Even with his new experimentation with an upbeat, abrasive sound, his voice is as smooth as ever.

Sylo shared, “I spent the last four years with this person in the same city I was born in. I knew that for there to be real change in my life, I had to literally move to another country not just for her, but to move on from the old patterns, habits and behaviors that dictated so much of who I was. This song is that last piece to commemorate that.”

Spending the post-breakup months living untethered in Mexico City, Sylo has had the chance to experience a new reality for himself while putting his past to bed. He now emerges ready to push the sonic envelope for his own sake and see where this reckless abandon lands him.

Where we now see Sylo forward-looking and charting out his future, last year was anchored in linking his childhood to who he is in the present with the release of Dreamt that I Was. He then toured the project across North America and Asia, with a quick stop in London as well.

At the end of October, Sylo’s Tiny Desk Concert for NPR was released, bringing him into an orbit he never before thought he’d reach. Additionally, his track “Babyboo” with sonic-globetrotter Nonso Amadi was featured in an ad campaign for SoundCloud x Hyundai. The campaign highlighted how everyone is on a journey in life, and that journey shapes who you are and what you create; a perfect tie into the music Sylo creates.

The Momentary announced the lineup for Momentous 2025, a two day electronic music festival taking place October 10-11. Now in its third year, Momentous will feature an exciting and diverse group of internationally recognized electronic music artists and rising stars. The festival will be headlined by dubstep legends Flux Pavilion b2b Doctor P and celebrated ambient music producer Tycho, and feature performances by bass innovators Yheti b2b Toadface as well as Baby Weight, MEMBA, Mickman, Nala, SHIMA, Madam X, The Polish Ambassador, Tripp St, and more.

Momentous is fast becoming one of Arkansas’s most beloved festivals, offering a mix of bass, house, glitch-hop, chillwave, and global electronica. More than just music, it’s a celebration of sound, art, and flavor that transforms the city into a playground of underground culture. This year, the community stage is curated by creative collectives including Backroom, Haus of Untz, Vibes Creation Co., and Impact DNB, promising an unforgettable showcase of local talent.

Also featured in the Momentous festival lineup are two striking performance pieces that push the boundaries of sound and sensation. Relative Intensity Noise by Rin Peisert will offer attendees an immersive, full-body experience that considers movement and material in relationship to sound. Touki Delphine will present an epic adaptation of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite performed by a monolithic orchestra of tail lights.

The Momentary, which celebrated its fifth anniversary earlier this year, was recently named one of “The 25 best places to go in the South in 2025” (Southern Living), and continues to establish itself as a premier destination for both Grammy-winning icons and rising stars alike. Justin Hayward to Host 2025 On The Blue Cruise Featuring Alan Parsons, Starship, and More

On The Blue Cruises, Inc., one of the leading music cruise experience producers over the past 20 years, has announced the final 2025 lineup for the world’s greatest classic rock experience at sea, On The Blue Cruise (OTBC).

Hosted and headlined by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artist Justin Hayward, the voice of The Moody Blues, and featuring an array of events and musical performances from over 25 artists, this seven-night full-ship charter cruise will set sail August 22-29, 2025 aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Gem and depart out of Boston, Massachusetts. The voyage, dubbed Forever Autumn, will visit four ports: Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia, Saint John, New Brunswick, and Portland, Maine.

This voyage is truly unique for several reasons. It’s the first seven-day cruise that promoter On The Blue Cruises, Inc. has ever produced and it’s also their inaugural itinerary visiting these four ports. Additionally, OTBC ’25 marks the first music cruise charter to depart out of the Northeast and visit the beautiful Canada/New England shoreline, making it an unprecedented experience for all attendees.

Hayward’s performances will include songs from his solo archives along with deep cuts from five decades of material from The Moody Blues. Plus, fans will be able to attend an intimate Q&A with the rock legend, who will be sharing insight into his career and music. This year’s cruise theme, Forever Autumn, is taken from the title of a fan-favorite recording of Hayward’s.

In addition to Hayward, OTBC 2025’s lineup features Alan Parsons, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, The Orchestra feat. Electric Light Orchestra and ELO Part II former members, Colin Blunstone from The Zombies, Al Stewart, Leonid & Friends (the music of Chicago), Ambrosia, April Wine, Wishbone Ash, Honeymoon Suite, Michal Sadler of SAGA, Richie Furay of Buffalo Springfield and Poco, Fran Cosmo (former lead singer of Boston), The Weeklings, The Young Dubliners, Ricky Nelson Remembered, Pat Travers, Randy Hansen, Top of the World (the music of The Carpenters), Mellow Yellow, Marbin, Fernando Perdomo, The Bottom Feeders, The Empty Pockets, All Hat No Cattle, and Dueling Pianos.

Beyond the many band performances on multiple stages, the cruise will feature well-curated activities and events, such as artist photo experiences, themed-nights, Mellow Yellow Dance Party, Painting with Rock Stars, Exclusive Dance Club Experience with Instructors, and a wine tasting event, with much more to be announced. Also, it will be whale watching season, so travelers might catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures.

With the support for the release of the band’s latest single “Plastic Crown” garnering attention at radio and streaming services, New York rockers King Falcon is releasing the accompanying music video for the song. “Plastic Crown” is the latest offering from the quartet comprised of Michael Rubin [vocals, lead guitar], Joe Conserva [bass], Sergio Ripa [guitar], and Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty [drums]. The music video showcases the band’s fun and energetic live performance as the animated world around them keeps changing.

“Plastic Crown” was released to the world on June 11th and has been making waves at radio with stations already adding the band’s track.
