DETROIT ILLHARMONIC SYMPHONY Teams With Punk Icons for New Album ‘Everything Is Shattered’
The Los Angeles-based collective Detroit Illharmonic Symphony has released their new album, ‘Everything Is Shattered’, a wild mashup of punk, indie rock, hip hop, and cinematic chaos, straight from California’s legendary Geza X Records. The lead track, the high-energy post-punk anthem “Everything Is Shattered,” features southern California punk pioneer Jack Grisham (TSOL) alongside future superstar Max Galbreath on vocals, recorded and produced by Paul Roessler. The album continues to deliver bold genre-fusing moments, including Keith Morris (Circle Jerks, Black Flag) contributing vocals on the psychedelic surf-punk track “If You Cooperate,” with violin from Cecilia Suhr.
These two songs, and others on the 14-track collection, come from the bold 2025 animated motion picture I’d Rather Be Turned Into Cat Food, written and directed by Walter Santucci and produced by Evil Cat Land. Fusing elements of punk, indie rock, classical music, hip hop, and soul, the album brings to life fantasies of TSOL jamming with the Beastie Boys in a Quentin Tarantino movie. With a rich diversity on display—from the 70s soul of “Doo Doo On A Stick” to the hip-hop cool of “Welcome to Fear City”—this latest record, which is also available on a limited-edition translucent blue vinyl 7” single, is loaded with punk attitude, cinematic soundscapes, and hip hop swagger, perfect for unique, left-of-center playlists.

Pisgah Announces Second Album ‘Faultlines’ Balancing Indie Rock and Emotional Confession
Pisgah, the solo project of London-based American singer-songwriter Brittney Jenkins, announces the release of her second full-length album, ‘Faultlines’. The record follows her acclaimed 2022 debut, ‘Call Louder for Me When You Call’, and marks a bold artistic leap forward by balancing shimmering indie rock textures with deeply personal songwriting. Blending the introspective lyricism of Julia Jacklin and Ex:Re with the raw emotional weight of Big Thief and Indigo de Souza, ‘Faultlines’ stands as an emotionally unflinching meditation on generational trauma, loss, and the subtle fault lines that shape who we ultimately become.
‘Faultlines’ was written and recorded by Jenkins in her home studio and co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Dan Duszynski. Across eight tracks, Jenkins expertly weaves together reflective storytelling and evocative sonic landscapes that range from euphoric electric guitar layers to stark, haunting minimalism. The album draws inspiration from a wide constellation of sources, including mythic figures like Hecate, the quiet devastation of Aimee Mann, and visual artists like Francesca Woodman. Her academic background in art history even led her to create a moodboard before recording, a juxtaposition of shadow and light that perfectly mirrors the record’s duality.
Jenkins explains that the album “explores where fault lies when our relationships, with others and with ourselves, break down completely.” The final cover image, taken on the north shore of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, beautifully captures the record’s essence: transformation through turbulence. The music, which sits at the crossroads of alternative rock, indie folk, and dream pop, is both intimate yet cinematic, fragile yet fierce. With ‘Faultlines’, Jenkins refines her vision, expanding her sonic palette and deepening her lyrical focus, delivering a compelling musical statement.
