In an interview with Billboard, Richard Hartley shared insight into the soundtrack’s creation and lasting legacy. Read HERE.
Over the past month numerous events have taken place in LA celebrating its legacy, a 4K HDR release arrived in theaters as well as on at-home digital and on Blu-ray, and the film was celebrated via iconic media profiles via CBS Sunday Morning, Vogue, Interview Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, and Harper’s Bazaar who said “fifty years on, The Rocky Horror Picture Show remains a beacon of freedom and fantasy.”
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, one of cinema’s most groundbreaking and provocative films, was based on the stage musical by Richard O’Brien, and shattered conventions with its bold characters, flamboyant style, and infectious rock ’n’ roll soundtrack. Its legendary midnight screenings – featuring shadow casts, fan costumes, and audience call-backs – redefined moviegoing and created a cultural phenomenon. Today, it remains the longest-running theatrical release in film history, with weekly screenings still held around the world.
Ahead of the release of their anticipated new album God Save The Gun, arriving this Friday via Loma Vista Recordings, Los Angeles-based Militarie Gun share the new single “God Owes Me Money”, which is BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World today and was described by Rolling Stone as “tragically catchy.” “God Owes Me Money” is a focal point of the new album, showcasing a new dimension of Militarie Gun’s catalogue with its earworm of a hook, synth melodies and an arena-ready chorus.
God Save The Gun will include the aforementioned “God Owes Me Money,” along with the previously shared singles “B A D I D E A” and “Throw Me Away,” both of which arrived alongside videos directed by Shelton. God Save The Gun is a very human document of being at your worst when you should be on top of the world – an absurdist guide to the intersection of self-destruction and self-belief. “I’m well aware that being this vulnerable turns my personal trauma into a marketing hook for this album,” Shelton says, “But I’m fine with it, if not provoking it. Over the past couple years, as I spoke about addiction from the perspective of someone affected by it, I became the one struggling with it. There’s a farcical logic to entering a situation, fully knowing the consequences, and doing it anyway – but that’s where my head was when I started leaning on drinking.”
Militarie Gun’s 2023 debut album, Life Under The Gun was centred around lifelong cycles of hurt, with the singer looking back at growing up with family members struggling with addiction, and while God Save The Gun is still tethered to that history, this time, he’s not the witness – he’s the protagonist. It wasn’t until the band was scheduled to enter the studio in early 2025 that Shelton realised he was the one who needed to hear God Save The Gun’s message.
Despite all of the inner turmoil leading to God Save The Gun, Shelton and his bandmates – guitarists William Acuña and Kevin Kiley, bassist Waylon Trim, and drummer David Stalsworth – more than rose to the challenge of following up Militarie Gun’s acclaimed debut. Stalsworth, Trim, and Kiley all joined during Life Under The Gun’s extensive touring cycle after a series of member shakeups that would hobble most bands, but only made Militarie Gun stronger.
Along with the honed in line up, God Save The Gun was created with a village of new and old collaborators. Shelton continued his creative relationship with songsmith Phillip Odom, co-wrote with longtime conspirator and frequent harmoniser James Goodson of Dazy, and newly tapped Nick Panella of MSPAINT, among others.Militarie Gun also worked with producer / engineer Riley MacIntyre (Adele, Arlo Parks, The Kills), who was chosen not only to make the songs sound huge, but also to access the sentiments behind them.
To celebrate the release of God Save The Gun, Militarie Gun will embark on The BAD IDEA tour this month with support from Liquid Mike and Public Opinion. The 21-date kicks off in Palm Springs, California on 25th October with stops in Louisville, Worcester, Baltimore, Richmond, New Orleans, Houston and more before wrapping up in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 22nd. Top of next year, Militarie Gun will head across the pond for their headline Europe and UK tour with support from White Reaper and Spite House. Also in 2026, Militarie Gun will join Joyce Manor across their North American spring tour.
Militarie Gun’s debut album Life Under The Gun was one of 2023’s most celebrated albums, released to praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NME, Revolver, Stereogum, SPIN, Paste, The FADER, and more. Last year, Militarie Gun released the Life Under The Sun EP, which saw tracks from their debut album reimagined by friends and collaborators including Bully, Manchester Orchestra, and Mannequin Pussy. Militarie Gun also released the Life Under The Sun mini-documentary which sees the band and a host of their Life Under The Sun EP collaborators reunite at Manchester Orchestra’s Atlanta studio to further reimagine the tracks featured on their aforementioned EP, with guest performances from Manchester Orchestra, Marisa Dabice of Mannequin Pussy, and Christine Goodwyne of Pool Kids, who steps in for Alicia Bognanno of Bully for a performance of “Never Fucked Up Twice”. Also, last year, Militarie Gun shared “Gun Under The Gun (MFG)”, which was created for the new WWE 2K24 video game as the walk-in music for Post Malone’s wrestling character. Post Malone also included “Do It Faster” on his curated playlist for the WWE 2K24 soundtrack.

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Reneé Rapp reveals her latest single “Why Is She Still Here?,” from her sophomore album Bite Me, out now via Interscope Records. The track is accompanied by an official visualizer in which Rapp puts her powerhouse vocals on full display as she performs the track live on stage, highlighted only by a single star spotlight.
Rapp kicked off her new era last month with the release of the highly anticipated single “Leave Me Alone.” The track marked a major career milestone for Rapp as her highest streaming single upon debut, earning one million global streams within the first 24 hours of release, and now over 23.4 million globally.
Earlier this summer, Rapp revealed the bite.me website, urging fans to “sign a hundred NDAs,” ultimately revealing a slew of hints about the yet-to-be-announced album. In the weeks following, the internet erupted with “Bite Me” related clues – from Rapp’s “Bite Me” lip tattoo to posts from the likes of Paris Hilton, Charlize Theron, Monica Lewinsky, Gabby Windey, and more. A powerful statement about reclaiming your narrative, “Leave Me Alone” and the Bite Me era encourage listeners to embrace every facet of their personality, the chaotic and the confident, and to find strength in being authentically, unapologetically themselves.
This exciting new chapter marks Rapp’s first music release since 2023, when she collaborated with Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion on hit record “Not My Fault” from the official soundtrack to Paramount’s feature film Mean Girls (which also saw Rapp reprising her iconic role of Regina George). The song earned Rapp’s highest-ever day-one streams on Spotify to date, and saw a legendary performance between the two stars on Saturday Night Live. Earlier that same year, Rapp released her first studio album Snow Angel, earning her the largest first-week sales for a female artist’s debut album in the U.S. upon release. That fall, she embarked on the Snow Hard Feelings Tour in support of the project, a sold-out headlining run met with massive demand, featuring four nights in New York and one in Los Angeles at the iconic Greek Theatre.

Legendary rock vocalist GRAHAM BONNET and his own group, the GRAHAM BONNET BAND, are thrilled to announce the release of their new live album, ‘Lost In Hollywood Again,’ out on December 12, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Legendary rock vocalist GRAHAM BONNET and his own group, the GRAHAM BONNET BAND, are thrilled to announce the release of their new live album, ‘Lost In Hollywood Again,’ out on December 12, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
GRAHAM commented, “It goes without saying, that ‘Since You’ve Been Gone‘ should be the first single off our new live DVD. It’s the song that put Rainbow on the map and jettisoned my career. It’s a damn fine song and I wish I’d written it with Russ Ballard.”
On August 29, 2024, the GRAHAM BONNET BAND took the stage of the world-famous Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles for a night that perfectly captured the power, history, and energy of one of rock’s most distinctive voices. Filmed and recorded in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the legendary Sunset Strip venue, ‘Lost in Hollywood Again‘ showcases not only GRAHAM’s unparalleled legacy but also the chemistry and fire of his current band.
‘Lost in Hollywood Again‘ is more than a concert – it’s a celebration of GRAHAM BONNET’s enduring legacy and timeless songs, carried by a legendary voice, elevated by outstanding musicianship, and standing as a testament to the lasting power of hard rock.
The setlist is a journey through BONNET’s remarkable career, featuring classics from Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, and Alcatrazz, alongside hard-hitting originals from the GRAHAM BONNET BAND catalog. With Graham’s trademark vocals in top form, the performance blends nostalgia with vitality, proving why he remains an enduring force in hard rock.
On this unforgettable night, GRAHAM BONNET’s iconic vocals were supported by the virtuosic guitar work of Conrado Pesinato, the driving bass of Beth-Ami Heavenstone, the soaring keyboards of Alessandro Bertoni, and the precise, energetic drumming of Francis Cassol. Together, they brought each song to life with intensity and precision, creating a truly memorable live experience.
GRAHAM BONNET is known for his powerful and versatile voice. He first achieved chart success in 1968 as part of the duo The Marbles, whose single “Only One Woman” reached No. 5 in the UK. Over his long career, he has recorded and performed both as a solo artist and as a member of several prominent rock and heavy metal bands, including Rainbow, the Michael Schenker Group (MSG), Alcatrazz, Impellitteri, Blackthorne, and others.
BONNET’s time with Rainbow was a defining period in his career: he joined in 1979, replacing Ronnie James Dio as vocalist, and contributed to the album ‘Down To Earth,’ which included hits such as “Since You’ve Been Gone” and “All Night Long.” After leaving RAINBOW, he resumed his solo work and later joined and formed several bands, including MSG and Alcatrazz.
In later years, BONNET continued to release solo albums, formed the GRAHAM BONNET BAND, and also participated in projects like Michael Schenker Fest. He remains active in recording and touring.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are headed back to House of Blues Las Vegas inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino for another exclusive Las Vegas engagement in February 2026. Following a successful run of shows this past June, the rock legend will return for five performances scheduled for February 13, 14, 18, 20, and 21, 2026.
Fan pre-sale tickets will be available beginning Wednesday, October 15th, at 10 am PT, ahead of the general on sale beginning Friday, October 17th.
After forming her band the Blackhearts in 1979, with whom Jett has become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover.” With a career spanning music, film, television, Broadway, and humanitarianism, Jett remains a potent force and inspiration to generations of fans worldwide.
Just a year after the release of their second album Sketches of the Moon, which saw them establish an increasingly strong presence on international stages, ATOMIC FRUIT return on October 10th with the new single Hit The Ground via Rola Music, the first track from the Berlin trio’s upcoming third record.
Accompanied by an official music video made by frontman Martin Lundfall himself, the song is a hypnotic journey that unfolds over bluesy cadences, guided by psychedelic vocals floating among the layers of an immersive, stratified soundscape. After the opening’s predominantly acoustic tones, synthetic shades with a krautrock flavor emerge, along with enveloping shoegaze-inspired guitar textures. As the listening progresses, the song form is challenged and deconstructed, allowing it to dissolve in favor of sudden turns and dark tunnels at the end of which a dim light can be glimpsed. The atmosphere is desert-like and rarefied, evoking both the poetics of David Lynch and the sound of SUUNS. The atmosphere is desert-like and rarefied, evoking both the poetics of David Lynch and the sound of SUUNS. It is no coincidence that the band – whose members come from Sweden, France, and Italy – first met in 2021 at one of the latter’s concerts, almost as if by fate.
The single is released together with a video that, through collages of imaginary landscapes, plays with the optical illusion of the parallax effect, where shifting and transforming scenery mirrors the suspended, visionary dimension of the track: «“Hit The Ground” is about the clutter that builds up in your head when living in the city. An endless noise of desires, deadlines and ambitions running through your mind like traffic. You dream of a simpler life. Out in nature, daydreaming, studying the trajectories of bumblebees and migratory birds».
Their music, rooted in both the great masters of the 1970s and the more contemporary waves of experimentation, draws listeners into an enigmatic vortex of sound, confirming that Martin Lundfall, Raphaël Giraldi, and Federico Lenzi have everything it takes to once again enchant the underground scene with their psychedelic magic.
While waiting for the new album, the band has already announced an international tourthat will kick off this fall. They will be joined by Munich-based rock band Digital Carbs, with whom they released the collaborative track Up and Awayin June 2025. The tour will stop in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Italy. Further updates will be shared on social media and throughout the promotion.

GRAMMY-winning guitarist Tommy Emmanuel released Living In The Light, his first solo album in ten years. Recorded and mixed with producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Phish), Living in the Light is a virtuosic blend of acoustic pop, jazz, classical, and roots music delivered by one of the modern era’s most accomplished and versatile guitarists.
The album release arrives with the official video for Emmanuel’s rendition of the Sharon O’Neill hit “Maxine,” which “finds Emmanuel channeling his virtuosity into something more personal… [he] masters his instrumental arsenal” (American Blues Scene). Widely acclaimed for his instrumental acoustic guitar work, Emmanuel reveals his rarely-seen talents on “Maxine,” taking on lead vocals and performing both electric guitar and bass.
Tomorrow, October 11, Emmanuel will kick off a national tour in support of the album at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, followed by performances in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York City’s Carnegie Hall on October 30 with Richard Thompson. Find a full list of tour dates below or visit his website.
“This song was a big hit in Australia in the 80s,” says Emmanuel. “It’s the story of a young prostitute who is playing with fire in her life. The storyteller wants to understand and help her. The composer, Sharon O’Neil, is an old friend with a gift for storytelling.”
Emmanuel captured most of the performances on Living in the Light in one or two takes, and the sense of joy and wonder in these sonic explorations is more than just palpable; it’s intoxicating. While many of the recordings are solo instrumentals, Emmanuel lends his voice to several of the album’s tracks as well, grounding his dazzling, percussive fretwork with a poignant dose of warmth and vulnerability.
“There are elements of rockabilly, blues, even traditional African music all woven into the music,” Emmanuel explains. “I’m a world traveler, and I’ve absorbed so much music along the way. It all gets synthesized through a kind of osmosis into my psyche and my soul and then comes out in my own unique style.”
‘The Family Battenberg’ release their debut EP, ‘Spider Rock Forever’, A time capsule of sorts, this collection of tracks establishes their sonic groove, with influences including Ty Segall, The Black Angels, and Iggy Pop – ‘The Idiot’(specifically).
The EP is an independent release by the South Walian four-piece, recorded at Tom Rees’ (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) studio while he was on holiday. To master the project, the group sought out long-time collaborator Eddie Al-Shakarchi (Boy Azooga, Loathe, Swim Deep). When a charismatic leader is involved, reality, faith and fantasy are the entwined pillars of cult mythology. For this project, sect storytelling was a bottomless pool of intrigue for Jones. Inspiration was drawn from watching countless hours of film, namely the documentaries of Roch Theriault and the Ant Hill Kids, Heaven’s Gate and Children of God (IBLP).
A dual perspective is woven into Jones’ lyrics; structure is articulated through the rambling psychobabble of these figures of zealotry, while meaning conveys the ‘thought reform’ incurred by the cult-followers.
Aligning with a soundscape that’s signature to them, ‘Anteater’ is The Family Battenberg finessed. Drenched in fuzzy saturation, spacey vocals ricochet between a blistering guitar, all while a double-tracked mono drum plays like a call to action.
This is an anti-love song. When unhealthy adoration becomes a quest for romance, or approval in this case, we find ourselves doing strange things. In this story, the protagonist justifies total metamorphosis in the name of subservience. “It’s self-humiliation in the pursuit of a potential suitor’s attention,” as Jones puts it.
Saturation of vocals and guitar dialled up to eleven, ‘Spiders’ captures the ethos of the EP, while ‘Gwyllgi’ has a story of its own. In Welsh folklore, ‘Gwyllgi’ is a ghoulish mythical dog with red eyes that is an omen of bad things to come. The song is an amalgamation of mythical stories from Wales that Jones was reading at the time.
Over the last few years, The Family Battenberg have played a host of major festivals, namely, The Great Escape, Green Man, Trans Musicales, Reeperbahn, and ESNS. As budding upcomers, the group have supported the likes of Getdown Services, Panic Shack, Gruff Rhys and The Bug Club, cementing their growing reputation as a formidable live act along the way.
Already championed by the likes of Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Amy Lame on BBC 6 MUSIC and John Kennedy on Radio X, the group are beginning to make their mark on the industry.
