1. She was born Donna Jean Thatcher on August 22, 1947, in Florence, Alabama.
2. Before joining the Grateful Dead, she was a Muscle Shoals session singer in the 1960s.

4. She also sang on Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds” in 1969, one of his biggest late-career hits.

6. She met keyboardist Keith Godchaux in California and married him in 1970.

Manchester’s alt-rock and nu-metal fusionists The Fear have dropped their debut EP Falling Forward, alongside a new video for their hard-hitting single “The End Is The Start.” The track serves as the first full song on the nine-track release, delivering a powerful, high-energy statement of purpose from a band that’s rediscovered its fire.
