Wolfgang Van Halen has unveiled all the information for his upcoming third album, The End. The album – released by BMG – is slated for release on October 24.
The 10-track album clocks in at 39-minuttes and showcases the evolution of Wolf and his songwriting since he launched his solo career in 2020. Recorded at the legendary 5150 studio, the album was produced by friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette.
Continuing the tradition of writing all the songs and performing all the instrumentation and vocals himself, Wolfgang Van Halen set out to challenge himself beyond what he did on his debut and sophomore release, Mammoth II. From the hypnotic opening of “One Of A Kind” to infectious closer “All In Good Time,” Wolfgang demonstrates his proficiency as a musician and songwriter. Songs like “Same Old Song,” “Happy,” and “Selfish” will fit perfectly alongside older songs that fans have already come to love from Mammoth.
Mammoth released their first single in May, and it has shot up the charts currently in the Top 5 at Active Rock radio. The success of the single was propelled by the landmark music video – a remake of the classic film From Dusk ‘Til Dawn – directed by Robert Rodriguez and Greg Nicotero. The video is approaching 4-million views and contains cameos from Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and of course his mother Valerie Bertinelli. To coincide with the album announcement, Mammoth is releasing the track “The Spell” for fans to check out. Now available via all digital service providers, the performance music video showing Wolfgang playing all the instruments and directed by visual collaborator Gordy De St. Jeor, can be streamed below:
The End is available for pre-order in multiple configurations including limited edition vinyl colors, signed insert version and retailer exclusives here.
Dark Chapel, the riff-heavy powerhouse led by Black Label Society guitarist Dario Lorina, has released a new single, “Sign of Life.” The track arrives alongside a cinematic black-and-white video, directed by Justin H. Reich, which reimagines a modern-day western posse against a dusty blacktop backdrop.
This Friday, fans can stream or purchase a deluxe vinyl edition of the band’s acclaimed album, Spirit in the Glass, originally released in February. The Laguna EcoMix variant special edition adds two brand-new tracks, “Hit of Your Love” and “Echoes of a Stone Heart II, ” and comes pressed on striking blue vinyl.

Hot off the back of their previous single, ‘MK Ultra’, US Alternative outfit The Behaviour, the latest musical incarnation of multi-instrumentalist Marshall Kilpatric (Today is The Day, Black Light Burns, and The Esoteric), have released their new single, a radio edited version of the track ‘Phantom Hands’, on September 19th. The track is the second offering from their upcoming EP “PEDESTALS”, which features the full version of the track, and is set for release through Rexius Records on November 21st, 2025.
Though not to be so simplistic, this song captures that essence intertwined with appreciation, devotion, admiration, hope, and loyalty. Again, as is a common theme in The Behaviour’s music, recognizing the unseen energetic force behind what lies in front of you is to be regarded with respect and honor, and this is done as if performing a spell or ritual to eloquently do so in a hopeful and timeless manner.”
Through abstract metaphors and veiled allegory, allusions are prevalent to those loved, lost, or both in these songs. Some are cautionary tales of senses possessed, or energies revered one may seek and possibly find in themselves. Others are situational reflections, while finding meaning, hope, and strength in adverse environments or predicaments. Through them all, “PEDESTALS” is a poignant representation of recent times while simultaneously striving for timelessness in its sound, vision, and messages.
The Behaviour seeks to convey these themes to the listener with broad enough strokes for anyone to find something personal to hold onto, on their own, with only a gentle push in the right direction. Perhaps in doing so, they will discover their own pedestal to behold something cherished.”
Blending alternative rock sounds, garage rock grit, and the expressive depth of blues, shoegaze, and melancholic rock, The Behaviour crafts brooding soundscapes that fit playlists for late-night drives, introspective reflection, and dark psych rock journeys. Fans of Queens of the Stone Age, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, All Them Witches, and my bloody valentine will find a familiar pulse in the project’s fuzz-drenched guitars, analog warmth, and emotionally layered vocals.
The project is led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Marshall Kilpatric, a seasoned drummer known for his work with bands such as The Esoteric and Kylesa. His career includes tours alongside Motörhead, Deftones, Chris Cornell, and The Smashing Pumpkins, and replacing Brann Dailor (later of Mastodon) in Today is the Day for their acclaimed double album Sadness Will Prevail. He also joined Black Light Burns before the release of their debut, replacing Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters). Kilpatric played on two albums—including the cover collection Cover Your Heart—and co-wrote their third, with tracks featured on the Underworld soundtracks.
With The Behaviour, Kilpatric steps into full creative control. More than a solo act, the project is a cathartic exercise in shadow work. Beneath its dark, melancholic surface lies an arc of redemption, healing, and transformation. Influenced by Jeff Buckley, Leonard Cohen, and Pink Floyd, he crafts songs that echo with spiritual undertones and poetic intensity.
The 2023 debut, “A Sin Dance”, earned acclaim from outlets like HONK Magazine and The Joy of Violent Movement. With three new singles and an EP arriving fall 2025 via Rexius Records, The Behaviour continues to evolve—inviting listeners into a space where darkness meets clarity, and noise becomes medicine.
Wet Leg finally made their Tiny Desk debut, trading chaos for charm with a set full of love, wit, and woozy new songs from moisturizer. Skipping “Chaise Longue,” they delivered heart and humor through “CPR,” “mangetout,” “davina mccall,” and “11:21.” A cozy triumph of blissed-out indie brilliance.
Late, lauded musician Dan Seals is paired with multi-platinum certified singer/songwriter, Jamey Johnson for a recreated take on the number one, uptempo Seals-penned classic, “Three Time Loser,” releasing October 17. Fans can pre-save the song here.
“Dan Seals is one of the great voices of the ’80s that sculpted the sound and style of songwriters and artists like me that were raised on that era of country music,” said Jamey Johnson.
Record label, Melody Place along with Seals’ estate, made the announcement via social media today. The track follows last month’s reimagined release of “Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)” featuring Seals with country superstar, Luke Bryan. Fans and critics alike praised the song, with American Songwriter declaring “even decades later, Seals’ music still carries the same weight, beauty, and truth it did when first released.”
Written and originally released by Seals in 1987 with renowned producer Kyle Lehning, the track climbed its way up the Billboard Country Singles chart that same year. The song appeared on his sixth studio album, On The Front Line.
The multi-genre mastermind began his career as “England Dan” in the soft rock duo, England Dan & John Ford Coley before he became an award-winning solo artist. Seals went on to achieve extraordinary success, receiving 11 number one hit songs in his lifetime, two CMA awards, and was posthumously inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025.
