Experimental alt-rock project PARAXENIA announces the release of āTrained to Ignore,ā available worldwide on March 24. The new single dives into emotional detachment and digital overstimulation, tracing how indifference becomes normalized in contemporary life. Through stark imagery and immersive sound design, the track reflects a landscape where noise overtakes meaning and distraction feels constant.
Built on layered guitars, atmospheric pads, textured production, and introspective vocals, āTrained to Ignoreā unfolds like a suspended moment of blurred perception and muted reaction. Continuing the conceptual thread of previous releases, PARAXENIA aligns sound, visuals, and narrative into a cohesive aesthetic. The artwork and production evolved in tandem, reinforcing a minimalist yet emotionally charged identity.
Tibet House US expands the lineup for its 39th Annual Benefit Concert on March 3 at Carnegie Hall with the addition of Robert De Niro and Elvis Costello. The legendary actor will read excerpts from Abraham Lincolnās Lyceum Address, the basis in part for Philip Glassā Symphony No. 15 āLincoln,ā adding a powerful spoken-word dimension to one of New York Cityās most enduring cultural events.
Symphony No. 15 āLincolnā draws on Abraham Lincolnās words and moral vision, reflecting on leadership, unity, and compassion. Glass recently withdrew the premiere from the Kennedy Center, citing a conflict between the symphonyās message and the centerās current values. The work now finds resonance within the mission of Tibet House US.
Previously announced performers include Laurie Anderson, Maya Hawke, Kate Pierson of The B-52s, Allison Russell, Jesse Malin, Toro y Moi, Christian Lee Hutson, Elysian Fields, The Philip Glass Ensemble, Tony Shanahan, Tenzin Choegyal, The Resistance Revival Chorus, and The Scorchio Quartet. Honorary chairs Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Arden Wohl, and Jonah Freeman support the evening.
Founded in 1987 at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tibet House US remains dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture and traditions of compassion and nonviolence. The annual benefit concert stands as one of New Yorkās longest-running cultural gatherings, uniting artists and audiences for a singular night of music and purpose.
Candid Records and Chick Corea Productions release āForever Yours: The Farewell Performanceā on CD and 2LP vinyl, capturing the final concerts of the legendary pianist. Recorded just four months before his passing at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida, the album stands as a defining document of the Chick Corea solo experience. It carries both intimacy and magnitude.
The liner notes include tributes from Alicia Keys, Herbie Hancock, Hans Zimmer, Robert Glasper, Bobby McFerrin, Stanley Clarke, Lang Lang and others, underscoring Coreaās reach across generations and genres. The release follows the 2026 GRAMMY win for āTrilogy 3ā in Best Jazz Performance, a recognition that affirmed his enduring impact.
The program moves seamlessly between Corea originals such as āArmandoās Rhumbaā and selections from āChildrenās Songs,ā alongside works by Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Stevie Wonder, Bill Evans and Duke Ellington. āHe could showcase some unexpected connections in an exciting way,ā said longtime collaborator Bernie Kirsh. The performance flows with technical mastery and joyful swing.
Coreaās spoken interludes remain intact, revealing his warmth and humor as he introduces pieces and invites audience members onstage for improvised āPortraitā compositions. An official video for āOverjoyedā further celebrates his artistry. āForever Yours: The Farewell Performanceā resonates as a profound farewell and a vivid reminder of a pianist whose influence continues to shape jazz.
Fresh off her firstĀ Top 20Ā pop radio single, āCastle,ā songwriting savant and rising pop star,Ā Haven Madison, has delivered another anthemic cut entitledĀ āUncross Your HeartāĀ viaĀ BMG. The bold pop anthem marks the next chapter in Madisonās evolution, deepening her signature blend of candid songwriting and authentic emotional expression. Listen toĀ āUncross Your HeartāĀ HERE.
āWhen I wrote āUncross Your Heart,ā I was trying to create an anthemic song that makes peace with being lied to in a relationship,ā Madison shares. āWe worked hard to find the perfect blend of āsing your heart outā and ārage,ā for anyone who knows just how frustrating those kinds of relationships can be.ā
On āUncross Your Heart,ā Madison flips the childhood oath ācross your heart and hope to dieā into a sharp and danceable pop anthem about the moment you realize āforeverā never actually meant forever. Inspired by a breakup, the track captures the sting of being discarded after giving someone your everything. Pairing bright, euphoric production with cutting emotional clarity, āUncross Your Heartā is equal parts vindication and release: a girls-night-out-ready anthem designed to make listeners feel validated and empowered.

Joy Harjo, the musician, activist, and former National Poet Laureate, will release her new album, Insomnia and Seven Steps to Grace, on April 24th via Smithsonian Folkways. Produced by Grammy-winning composer, bassist, and vocalist esperanza spalding, it is Harjoās debut release for the label.
On the album, Harjo treads the fertile ground at the intersection of jazz and poetry, leaning into the improvisational aspects of both while incorporating other sonic touchstones from throughout her life: prog rock, grunge, and, crucially, the traditional music of Native communities throughout the Southwest. āThis musical project has found its footing during a time of thick-layered turmoil throughout our communities,āā Harjo writes in the albumās extensive liner notes which give shape to Harjoās history as an artist, poet, and musician. At once playful, confrontational, and devotional, Insomnia and Seven Steps to Grace arrives shaped by collective upheaval, ancestral memory, and the enduring power of art to bear witness and create change. Like in her acclaimed books of poetry, Harjo explores her matriarchal lineage, the struggle for justice for marginalized peoples, and her own cultural heritage as a member of the Muscogee Nation. Reflecting on what we can show future generations when they look back to see how we responded when confronted with injustice, Harjo remarks: āThey will look to our arts.ā In this way, āthis album is an offering.ā
Harjo and spaldingās artistic collaboration came out of their initial meeting in 2017, when they were both awarded Art of Change Ford Foundation Fellowships in Chicago. āI had long admired the artistry of spalding, her precise magic in bass, voice, and connection, and hesitated to speak to her because I was in such awe,ā Harjo wrote. ā[T]hen there we were, as if we already knew each other.ā Recorded at The Church Studio in Harjoās hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Insomnia and Seven Steps to Grace was a chance for Harjo and spalding to work together, alongside guitarist Matthew Stevens and drummer Justin Tyson.
The title track opens the album in a suspended, otherworldly spaceāHarjoās recitation floating over luminous harmonies and indie-rock guitar textures, guided by the imagery of the panther and the space between waking and dream. āIn our family, we are related to the panther,ā Harjo writes. āWe need fresh dreaming to navigate what we are going to encounter.ā Listen to āInsomnia and Seven Steps to Graceā HERE.
The record moves fluidly between moods: the noir-tinged, funk-driven āRabbit Is Up to Tricks;ā the marching, chaotic swell of āI Pray for My Enemies,ā where Native flute echoes military fife (in Harjoās rendition of āWhen Johnny Comes Marching Home Againā) and prayer becomes confrontation; and āFear Redux,ā which builds from a gnarly, driving bassline into gongs, tenderness, and reclamation as fear is named, faced, transformed. Elsewhere, Harjo performs music by Charles Mingus and the indigenous a capella group Ulali, pays tribute to James Brown, and plays alongside vocals from singer-songwriter Ganavya.
The album also pays homage to Harjoās family and musical life, which started long before she emerged as a poet. As a child, she used to listen to her mother compose music at the family kitchen table and sing at parties around Tulsa. Despite her motherās rich musical life, the norms and demands of the era made her mother unable to pursue the arts full-time. While assembling the album, Harjoās sister uncovered a song called āMy Guy,ā which her mother wrote in the 1950s or ā60s but never released. Harjo, spalding, and Stevens reanimate āMy Guyā on this album as a jazz-inflected love song featuring spaldingās vocals and punctuated by Harjoās alto sax. āMy mother would be so honored and thrilled to hear how esperanza makes vocal art of her songwriting art,ā Harjo writes. āWhat a pairing!ā
Throughout Insomnia and Seven Steps to Grace, sound itself becomes a guide, insisting that art is not an escape from hard times, but a way through them. āBecause of what keeps us up at night,ā Harjo writes, āthe bad dreams, the good ones, the tenderness, the beauty, the heartache, the struggle: this album.ā
GRAMMY-nominated pop powerhouse Alex Warren launches his next chapter with āFever Dream,ā a high-voltage single that captures life at full speed. Released via Atlantic Records, the track arrives after weeks of viral anticipation, with teaser clips drawing nearly 100 million views. It is bold, kinetic, and built for movement.
āFever Dreamā channels the rush of hard-hitting romance and the whirlwind of rising fame, inspired by Warren meeting his wife Kouvr and the chaos that followed. The hook lands instantly. The chorus soars. This is a sharp pivot into arena-sized pop, engineered for singalongs and late-night drives.
Directed by Andrew Theodore Balasia, the dreamlike video features a cameo from Paris Hilton and unfolds in surreal flashes of color and celebration. Warren plays an LA tourist bus driver drifting through absurd, electric scenes before snapping back to reality. The visuals mirror the songās pulse, playful and unrestrained.
The momentum continues after Warren performed his 3 billion-stream global hit āOrdinaryā with James Blunt at the BRIT Awards, where the track was nominated for International Song of the Year. Now, the Finding Family On The Road tour scales up with sold-out dates at The O2 and Madison Square Garden. The rise feels massive and earned.
