Howard Stern To Launch SiriusXM’s New Hollywood State-of-the-Art Studio Complex

SiriusXM and Pandora today announced that Howard Stern will commemorate the official October 7^th opening of SiriusXM Hollywood, the company’s new Hollywood complex featuring artist-first studios, with Stern’s first broadcast from the West Coast in almost 20 years.

Howard Stern has never been bigger. Now in his 14^th year on SiriusXM, he has a new #1 best-selling book of his radio interviews, “Howard Stern Comes Again,” and is regularly complimented as the best interviewer in the business. His edgy, comedic morning radio show and two channels of new and classic Stern now feature Howard Stern Video on the SiriusXM app. Howard, who legendarily loathes travel, broadcasts from outside New York City almost never. His launch of the new SiriusXM Hollywood complex will be his first radio broadcast from outside New York in 15 years, and his first from Los Angeles in almost 20 years.

Located in the heart of the burgeoning Hollywood Media District at 953 N. Sycamore Ave., SiriusXM/Pandora Hollywood has been built from the ground up to reflect the company’s commitment to the West Coast artist community and audience, and to be the base for originating great talk, compelling entertainment, world class music, and exclusive performances for the more than 100 million listeners of the United States’ leading audio entertainment company.

SiriusXM Hollywood’s official October 7^th launch with Howard Stern will be preceded by four weeks of special broadcasts and performances across many SiriusXM channels from the new Hollywood studio complex and from legendary venues around Los Angeles.

In week one, SiriusXM Hosts Jess Cagle, Andy Cohen and Jenny McCarthy are expected to welcome top Hollywood guests for on-air interviews and specials, including Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, Julia Roberts, Carrie Underwood, Renée Zellweger, and more.

Dave Matthews is also scheduled to perform an exclusive set from SiriusXM Hollywood’s state-of-the-art ground-floor performance studio, The Garage, for his SiriusXM channel, Dave Matthews Radio.

Los Angeles native and emerging record-setting artist Billie Eilish will perform an exclusive concert for SiriusXM and Pandora listeners at the legendary Troubadour on September 18.

Wednesday, September 11

Carrie Underwood Town Hall hosted by SiriusXM’s Jenny McCarthy: Carrie Underwood will sit down in front of a studio audience to discuss The Cry Pretty Tour 360 and more. Carrie Underwood will be joined by tour mates Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.
SiriusXM Town Hall to air live on SiriusXM’s The Highway (ch.56) on Wednesday, September 11 at 1:00 pm PT and will rebroadcast on SiriusXM Stars (ch. 109) on Saturday, September 14 at 11 am PT.

Dave Matthews Exclusive Acoustic Set: Dave Matthews is scheduled to perform an intimate acoustic set for SiriusXM subscribers at The Garage performance space in SiriusXM’s newly expanded LA studios. The acoustic performance will feature music spanning the influential artist and songwriter’s career.
Performance to air on Thursday, September 12 at 5:00 pm PT on Dave Matthews Band Radio (ch. 30).

Friday, September 13

Radio Andy Theater: Andy Cohen is bringing SiriusXM’s Radio Andy Theater to the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles in front of an audience of SiriusXM subscribers. Radio Andy Theater will feature Andy Cohen and celebrity guests including Kristen Johnston, Vanessa Bayer, Molly Shannon, Amy Phillips, Bridget Everett, Emily Spiveyand more performing a live reading of one of the best reality TV episodes of the year. Radio Andy Theater brings together celebrity reality TV fans to re-create an iconic episode of reality TV as a radio play. he innovative and long-running concert series Live from the Artists Den announced their 13^th season will launch the week of September 16th nationwide on public television (check local listings). Episodes from the new season premiere weekly and feature performances by Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes, platinum-selling, multi-talented pop futurist Charli XCX, Grammy Award-nominated and BRIT award-winning singer/songwriter James Bay and multi-platinum Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy. The new season of the three-time Emmy-nominated, critically acclaimed music television series celebrates its 10th anniversary on public television this fall. Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes plays his most intimate show to date to a select group of 750 fans at 99 Scott, a raw industrial space in Brooklyn. Mendes, who has scored multiple consecutive platinum or multi-platinum singles, performed hits such as “Lost in Japan” and “In My Blood” from his latest album, Shawn Mendes.

Platinum-selling, multi-talented pop futurist Charli XCX performs a special WorldPride NYC edition of Live from the Artists Den on The Rooftop at Pier 17 in the Seaport District to 1400 fans. The event celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and the importance of diversity and equal rights and marked the first time that Charli XCX performed new music from her third studio album titled Charli.

Grammy Award-nominated and Brit Award-winning multi-platinum singer, songwriter and artist, James Bay performs for an audience of more than 700 fans in New York City’s newly renovated Webster Hall. Bay captivates the room with anthemic hits including “Let It Go” and “Hold Back The River” as well as new single “Bad” from his brand new EP, Oh My Messy Mind.

On a clear California night, multi-platinum Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy performs a private concert for more than 700 fans at the Sunset Center, Monterey Peninsula’s premier performing arts facility, during Monterey Car Week. The 17-song set features fan favorites like “Lay It On Me,” “Georgia” and “Mess is Mine.” The evening culminates with an audience-led chorus of the five-times platinum single “Riptide.”

Since launching the first televised concert in 2009 with singer/songwriter Patty Griffin, Artists Den Entertainment has succeeded in producing intimate and unique experiences with over 75 cutting-edge, contemporary musicians at historic venues including Graceland, a 1930s silent movie theater, the world’s oldest merchant sailing vessel, the New York Public Library, The World’s Fair and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The series is known for identifying emerging musicians before they become major superstars such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons and Mumford & Sons, as well as established artists like Norah Jones, Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello and John Legend. Recently the Artists Den kicked off experiential and merchandising initiatives.

Six years ago Artists Den produced the live concert Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den at the Wiltern in Los Angelesin support of their album King Animal. That 29-song, two-and-a-half-hour performance has become the best-selling Soundgarden live show for an official release. To honor that performance after the death of frontman Chris Cornell, Artists Den reunited the existing members and produced national immersive experiences in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. The immersive events surrounded fans with footage from HD cameras capturing 12 different angles of original concert footage as a one-night-only global IMAX screening along with a live remix of the original multitrack 48-channel audio in L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound. Artists Den also released the limited-edition Super Deluxe box set of the concert on Blu-ray and vinyl with bonus materials and more.

Live from the Artists Den airs nationwide on public television in the U.S., as well as on international networks in the U.K., Japan, Germany, Australia, Canada, Israel and Latin America. The series is also available on 10 international in-flight entertainment systems. Filming for Season 14 will begin fall 2019.

Jackson 5’s Popular ‘Greatest Hits’ Collection To Be Released In Rare Quad Mix Vinyl LP Editions

Originally released on December 27, 1971, the Jackson 5’s first singles collection, titled Greatest Hits, encapsulated an extraordinary and intense 18-month span of ‘Jacksonmania.’ Stocked with their biggest hits to date, including their four consecutive No. 1s, the album itself was a smash, peaking at No. 2 R&B and No. 12 on the Billboard 200. On October 25, Motown will release Greatest Hits in its rare and sought-after quad mix, originally issued only in Japan in 1975, on black vinyl LP and limited edition clear vinyl LP.

Jackson 5’s Greatest Hits (Quad Mix) includes alternate vocals, as well as some instrumentation not heard in the tracks’ well-known single and album mixes. Because the quad mixes are the stereo folds, the collection’s new vinyl LP editions do not require a special decoder or four speakers for listeners to enjoy the music. Original analog four-channel masters from the Motown vault were used as the audio source for the new LP editions, which were mastered and cut by Alex Abrash at AA Mastering.

The collection’s 11 tracks include the group’s phenomenal Motown debut, the chart-topping smash “I Want You Back,” as well as the group’s next three No. 1 hits “ABC,” “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There,” plus two immensely popular B-sides, “I Found That Girl” and “Who’s Lovin’ You.” Also featured is “Sugar Daddy,” which in December 1971 was the Jackson 5’s just-released single (Top 10 Billboard Pop Singles and No. 3 R&B Singles).

Supergrass are reforming for a theatre tour of the UK, Europe and North America in 2020

Supergrass have today announced they are reforming for a theatre tour of the UK, Europe and North America in 2020. The thirteen date tour will kick off in Paris on 4th February, before the UK leg culminates with a huge show at London’s Alexandra Palace on 6th March 2020. Tickets go on sale Friday 13th September from 9:00 am.

The seminal British group declared their improbable comeback on Friday night (6th September) in a suitably bold manner, taking to the stage unannounced at Glastonbury Pilton Party to rip through a mesmerizing Greatest Hits set, including Caught By The Fuzz, Moving, Pumping On Your Stereo and Alright.

Danny Goffey says: ‘Everything aligned for us to make this happen for 2020. It was the first time that we collectively felt the buzz to get back in a room together and play the songs. We’re extremely excited to get out there and bring a bit of Supergrass joy to all our fans… and their extended families.’

Tonight Supergrass will also play an intimate show at Oslo, Hackney. Announced on Saturday (7th September) in the aftermath of their electrifying Pilton set, the tiny underplay show sold out in a matter of seconds as fans scrambled for a chance to see the band in the most intimate of confines ahead of 2020’s tour.

A career spanning Best-of package ‘Supergrass: The Strange Ones 1994 – 2008’ is also unveiled today. This comprehensive box set, marking the 25th anniversary of I Should Coco, is a celebration of Supergrass’ incredible career and is released on BMG on 24th January. It contains their 6 original albums on picture disc LP and CD, bonus CDs of unreleased live material, B-sides, remixes, rarities, studio out-takes, demos, acoustic versions, oddities, new mixes, a deluxe book, posters and button badges. It also features over 6 hours of previously unreleased audio material. The boxset contains 5 previously unreleased instant grat tracks. The first, unveiled today is a cover of The Police’s ‘Next To You’, a gloriously kinetic trademark blast of howling vocals, harmonies and raucous guitars.

Formed in Oxford UK in 1993, the Brit, Q, NME and Ivor Novello-winning outfit released their Mercury-nominated No.1 debut album I Should Coco in 1995. Fourth single, ‘Alright’, was a pop masterpiece and became a massive hit, catapulting the band to global success. Supergrass subsequently released another five acclaimed studio albums: In It For The Money (1997), Supergrass (1999), Life On Other Planets (2002), Road To Rouen (2005), Diamond Hoo Ha (2008) as well as top 5 best of, Supergrass Is 10 (2004). Other top 20 singles include: ‘Lenny’, ‘Going Out’, ‘Richard III’, ‘Sun Hits The Sky’, ‘Pumping On Your Stereo’, ‘Moving’ and ‘Grace’.
