Halle Bailey And Diane Warren Join Forces For ‘The Crystal Planet’ Original Song

0

Halle Bailey has teamed up with multi-Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren for a new original song in the upcoming 3D animated family sci-fi adventure “The Crystal Planet.” The track, titled “Somewhere We All Belong,” was announced by Sola Media during the European Film Market in Berlin, where the company is handling international sales.

Warren, who recently earned her 17th Academy Award nomination and received an Honorary Oscar in 2022, wrote the song for the film. Bailey performs the track, which underscores the story’s themes of identity, empathy, and belonging. Director Arsen Anton Ostojic said the collaboration “captures the emotional heart” of the film and adds a universal quality to its message about compassion and coexistence.

“The Crystal Planet” follows 11-year-old Rea, who moves with her father to a distant outer-space colony. There, she befriends a mysterious cub and must protect it from a ruthless industrialist seeking to turn the creature into a robotic prototype. The voice cast includes Jeremy Irons, Vanessa Redgrave, and Michael York. The film is based on an original screenplay by the late Dušan Vukotić, the first non-American to win an Academy Award for animation.

Production is led by Filmosaurus Rex, BFilm, and Alkay Animation Prague, with animation supervised by Jakub Pištecký. The project is backed by several European film bodies, including the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Czech Audiovisual Fund, Slovak Audiovisual Fund, Creative Europe/MEDIA, Eurimages, Czech Television, and Croatian Television.

0

Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino will appear live at the Woodstock Opera House on Friday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. for a one-night-only event blending conversation, performance, and behind-the-scenes storytelling. The intimate evening follows her recent Broadway run as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” and offers audiences a rare chance to see the acclaimed actress in a live setting.

The program will combine a moderated discussion with staged moments and musical performance. Sorvino is expected to reflect on her career across film, television, and theater, including her Oscar-winning role in “Mighty Aphrodite” and performances in “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion,” “Beautiful Girls,” and “The Replacement Killers.” Organizers say the format is designed to balance storytelling with theatrical elements.

Beyond her acting work, Sorvino will also touch on her advocacy efforts in human rights, a subject she frequently addresses in public appearances. The evening aims to provide insight into her creative process, career evolution, and experiences navigating Hollywood and Broadway over several decades.

Tickets start at $55 and are available through the Woodstock Opera House box office or by calling 815-338-5300. With limited seating at the historic venue, organizers recommend purchasing in advance for the March 6 engagement.

0

Disney has announced that the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special is coming to Disney+ on March 24th. The special will celebrate the iconic series that defined a generation, exactly two decades after its Disney Channel debut.

The special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will feature an exclusive, in-depth interview with star Miley Cyrus, hosted by Alex Cooper. The conversation will offer an intimate look at the creation of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters and the lasting impact the show and character have had on fans around the world. With heartfelt nostalgia and fresh perspective, Cyrus will revisit the moments, music, and memories that defined an era. There will also be some familiar “notes” that find their way back into the spotlight.

With one of Disney’s most passionate fandoms, Hannah Montana became a global phenomenon, reshaping kids’ television, influencing music and fashion, and launching a generation-defining pop star. The Emmy-nominated series spawned 14 platinum and 18 gold albums worldwide, as well as two feature films.

Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection,” Cyrus shares. “The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”

The special is produced by HopeTown Entertainment and Unwell Productions. Ashley Edens serves as showrunner, with Miley Cyrus, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Alex Cooper, and Matt Kaplan as executive producers. Cooper will also host the special, guiding Hannah Montana fans through the nostalgic and highly-anticipated anniversary celebration.

Fans can relive their favorite Miley moments ahead of the anniversary special with the Hannah Montana Collection on Disney+. Starting on February 19th, they can dive even deeper with a dedicated non-stop stream featuring all four seasons of the series, along with Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert. Demonstrating the franchise’s enduring popularity, the Hannah Montana catalog has amassed more than half a billion hours streamed globally on Disney+ to date.

BAFTA 2026 Reveals Presenters Performers And Star-Studded Guest List

0

The 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards are set for February 22 at London’s Royal Festival Hall, and the British Academy has officially unveiled its presenters, performers, and confirmed attendees. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the ceremony will broadcast at 7:00 pm GMT on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK, and at 8:00 pm ET on E! in North America.

This year’s presenter lineup spans global film and television talent, including Aaron Pierre, Alicia Vikander, Alia Bhatt, Bryan Cranston, Cillian Murphy, Gillian Anderson, Glenn Close, Hannah Waddingham, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael B. Jordan, Monica Bellucci, Riz Ahmed, Sadie Sink, Stellan Skarsgård, Stormzy, and Warwick Davis. Several nominees will also take the stage throughout the night.

The confirmed guest list reads like a cross section of the international awards circuit. Among those expected to attend are Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessie Buckley, Timothée Chalamet, Paul Thomas Anderson, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Ryan Coogler, Jacob Elordi, Jafar Panahi, Rose Byrne, Paul Mescal, Renate Reinsve, and Yorgos Lanthimos.

Social media lit up after BAFTA released a photo of seating placards featuring Gillian Anderson positioned near DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, Mescal, Delroy Lindo, and Michael B. Jordan. The organization clarified that the image was a staged visual to highlight attendees and did not reflect the official seating arrangement.

Musical performances will play a major role in the ceremony. The record-breaking track “Golden” from “KPop Demon Hunters” will receive its first performance outside the United States, delivered by Jae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami. Jessie Ware will also perform during the In Memoriam segment, honoring one of Barbra Streisand’s classic songs.

In terms of nominations, “One Battle After Another” leads the field with 14, followed closely by “Sinners” with 13. “Hamnet” and “Marty Supreme” each secured 11 nominations, positioning them as major contenders across key categories.

Special honors will also be presented during the ceremony. Donna Langley, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment, will receive the BAFTA Fellowship, the organization’s highest accolade. Clare Binns, Creative Director of Picturehouse Cinemas, will be honored with the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award.

With nominees, presenters, performers, and honorees confirmed, BAFTA 2026 stands as one of the most significant milestones of the awards season. The evening’s outcomes could shape the final stretch of the Oscar race as the industry turns its focus toward Hollywood’s biggest night.

20 Legendary Tracks That Still Give You Chills

Some songs fade with time. Others hit the same nerve every single time you hear them.

The first piano note. The first breath before a chorus. A voice that cracks in just the right place. Across genres, eras, identities, and cultures, certain tracks don’t just sound good, they feel seismic. Here are 20 legendary songs that still give you chills, no matter when or where you press play.

“Respect” – Aretha Franklin (1967)
A demand, a declaration, a groove that refuses to sit still. Aretha didn’t just sing it, she claimed it. That spelling breakdown still lands like a lightning bolt.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” – Queen (1975)
Opera meets hard rock meets pure nerve. It shouldn’t work. It absolutely does. The quiet middle section alone can stop a room cold.

“What’s Going On” – Marvin Gaye (1971)
Smooth on the surface, urgent underneath. Decades later, it still feels painfully current.

“Smells Like Teen Spirit” – Nirvana (1991)
The opening riff changed everything. Raw, loud, and restless, it captured a generation in three chords.

“I Will Always Love You” – Whitney Houston (1992)
That a cappella intro. That key change. That final run. Few vocal performances have ever felt this towering.

“Like a Rolling Stone” – Bob Dylan (1965)
Six minutes that redefined what a pop single could be. The sneer in his voice still stings.

“Billie Jean” – Michael Jackson (1982)
That bassline walks in and suddenly nothing else matters. Minimal, mysterious, magnetic.

“Fast Car” – Tracy Chapman (1988)
Quiet storytelling that hits like a freight train. The chorus lifts, then gently breaks your heart.

“Purple Rain” – Prince (1984)
A slow build into a cathartic storm. When that guitar solo climbs, it feels almost spiritual.

“Rolling in the Deep” – Adele (2010)
A modern classic. Fury wrapped in gospel grit. That first chorus still makes shoulders tense.

“Strange Fruit” – Billie Holiday (1939)
Haunting and brave. The stillness in her delivery makes the message even more devastating.

“Hallelujah” – Jeff Buckley (1994)
Intimate and aching. Every note feels suspended in air.

“Formation” – Beyoncé (2016)
Precision, pride, and power. It hits with swagger and lands with purpose.

“A Change Is Gonna Come” – Sam Cooke (1964)
Hope and heartbreak wrapped together. The strings swell and suddenly it feels bigger than a song.

“Back to Black” – Amy Winehouse (2006)
Vintage soul with modern scars. Her voice carries both defiance and damage.

“Johnny B. Goode” – Chuck Berry (1958)
That opening guitar lick still feels like the birth of something wild and unstoppable.

“Lose Yourself” – Eminem (2002)
Tension that never lets up. The beat pulses like a racing heart.

“Dreams” – Fleetwood Mac (1977)
Soft, steady, and quietly devastating. It floats and cuts at the same time.

“A Day in the Life” – The Beatles (1967)

A quiet piano. A detached vocal. Alarm clock. Bus ride. Workday blur. And then comes the swell.

“Bad Guy” – Billie Eilish (2019)
Sparse, strange, and instantly iconic. The beat switch alone is enough to raise goosebumps.

Blues Soul Trailblazer Joyann Parker Rises With “End Of The Line”

0

Two-time Billboard Blues Albums charting artist Joyann Parker continues to cement her reputation as one of roots and soul music’s most compelling independent voices. Building on her unmistakable momentum, Parker will deliver her powerfully optimistic sophomore single, “End of The Line,” on February 27, ahead of her upcoming album Life Lines, arriving Friday, March 27.

Produced alongside Kevin Bowe and featuring Parker on lead vocals and guitar, with Mark Lamoine (guitar), Tim Wick (keys), Chris Bates (bass), and Bill Golden (drums, background vocals), the track delivers a deeply felt performance anchored by her unmistakable voice. Blending blues, soul, Americana, and rock, “End of The Line” emerges as a stirring anthem of resilience and renewal, echoing Parker’s belief that what feels like a final chapter may instead be the beginning of something greater.

Parker shares, “What may seem like the end of the line isn’t always the end. Instead, maybe it’s a doorway to a fresh start — part of a bigger story of redemption.”

“End of The Line” follows the release of the lead single, “Got Love,” praised by Americana UK as “a vibrant anthem driven by lively grooves and her soulful voice,” while Rock & Blues Muse exclusively premiered the track, calling it “an up-tempo rocking ballad about the importance of love regardless of what path we’re all on… lyrics speak to everyone… full-bodied and soulful, conveying warmth and true soulfulness.”

Inspired by a close friend’s healing journey, Parker adds, “‘Got Love’ is about choosing hope — even when things feel heavy. Watching someone I love fight their way back reminded me how powerful love can be when it’s steady, patient, and real.”
