One of the finest high-school videos I’ve seen this year, check out a bunch of Irish teenagers getting together and singing Vance Joy’s Riptide. Vance, your move to go and visit them.
Through the changing of well-known songs from their original major key to minor is reprehensible, according to the purists. It’s so complex and eloquent and amusing because it’s a giant leap away from the original, removing what you think you know about the song, to something more darker and sinister.

I love the internet. Bach’s “Air on the G String”‘s music of the “Air” is written down on four staves, for first violins, second violins, violas, and continuo respectively. The eerie interweaving melody lines of the high strings contrast with a pronounced rhytmic drive in the bass.
