GORILLAZ Drop New Track “Damascus” Featuring Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey

The virtual band GORILLAZ has released their latest single, “Damascus (feat. Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey),” which is the fourth preview from their expansive ninth studio album, ‘The Mountain’, due out on February 27th via their own new label, KONG. This new track is a true collaboration, written by Damon Albarn, Omar Souleyman, and Yasiin Bey, and features Syrian superstar of Bedouin music Omar Souleyman alongside rapper and singer Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def). “Damascus” has already become a fan favorite after its live debut at a surprise performance at London’s Copper Box Arena and a rapturous reception at Wembley Arena’s Together For Palestine event, where the GORILLAZ live band was joined by The London Arab Orchestra.

‘The Mountain’ is set to embody the very essence of the GORILLAZ collaborative ethos, featuring a truly extraordinary list of artists including IDLES, Johnny Marr, Sparks, Black Thought, Anoushka Shankar, and the voices of departed friends like Bobby Womack and Tony Allen, spanning five languages across its 15 songs. The album is described as a playlist for a party on the border between this world and whatever happens next, exploring the journey of life and the thrill of existence. Furthermore, the iconic gates of Kong, GORILLAZ’ fabled home, will open in Downtown L.A. for a limited four-week run of the immersive exhibition House of Kong from February 26th to March 19th, accompanied by two special shows at the Hollywood Palladium where the band will perform the new album in full.

Following two warm-up shows in Bradford, The Mountain Tour 2026 will kick off properly in Manchester on March 20th, visiting arenas across the UK and Ireland for headline shows in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and more (with four dates already sold out). The tour culminates with the band’s biggest UK show to date at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, June 20th, with support from Sparks and Trueno. Following the UK run, GORILLAZ will head into a packed European festival season, with dates including Primavera Sound, Roskilde Festival, and Rock Werchter, among many others.

Marking an anticipated return in 2026, following a standout run of shows in November, London based in the dark experience returns to the capital. The ground-breaking, highly acclaimed 360° immersive audio event announces its first performances of the new year at St Andrew’s Church in Holborn.

Taking place on 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th January, in the dark offers a unique 60-minute show where 30 musicians perform full acoustically live in total darkness, while audience members wear sleep masks to enhance the senses. Known for creating a unique listening experience shaped by sensory deprivation, unamplified live sound and a choreographed 360° journey of music that moves around the audience, the breakthrough event has redefined how people listen and engage with live performance. Celebrated not for spectacle but for its intimacy, in the dark invites audiences to discover how profoundly they can hear when sight is removed, leading a shift that brings uncommon clarity and a powerful, deeply human encounter.

The project started in Cambridge in 2017 and has quickly become a phenomenon. The original shows all sold out within an hour, and alongside the rapid sales, remarkable feedback ignited from audiences and industry alike. It quickly became clear that the concept resonated deeply with audiences and could sustain regular shows while actively evolving into a must-attend event on the entertainment calendar. After several years of development, the first London season launched in 2024 with a troupe of professional musicians, drawn from the West End with the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, alongside other leading institutions.

The first London season was an immediate success, with in the dark receiving the Offies Assessors Choice award and attracting an exceptional response from the audience and critics. With momentum building, the team is now setting its ambitions high, with future plans across the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and North America. To date, in the dark has presented more than 60 performances attended by over 8,000 people at an array of renowned venues. It has been described as the “Cirque du Soleil of the senses” and was founded by Andrea Cockerton, who is an award-winning arts entrepreneur recognised for her ethical approach to events and the music industry. Andrea’s honours include the NESTA / Observer Magazine New Radicals award in 2018 and the SheSaidSo Alternative Music Power 100 Honouree Award.

SiriusXM will broadcast every game of the 12-team College Football Playoff. The teams competing for this year’s championship are Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Miami, Tulane and James Madison. The tournament schedule is as follows: the first round will be held on December 19 and 20, the Quarterfinals on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, the Semifinals on January 8 and 9, and the National Championship Game on January 19.

In addition to the CFP games, SiriusXM will also air 36 other Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) bowl games, from the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 13 through the Holiday Bowl on Jan. 2, and every game in between.

SiriusXM will carry Westwood One Sports’ broadcast of the FCS Football Championship on January 5. SiriusXM will also air other postseason All-Star football games, including the East-West Shrine Bowl (Jan. 27), the Panini Senior Bowl (Jan. 31), the HBCU Legacy Bowl (Feb. 21) and the All-American Bowl, which will be played by the best high school players from around the country (Jan. 10).

Fans can tune in to SiriusXM College Sports Radio (channel 84) throughout the postseason for daily, in-depth college sports talk and analysis. The channel will also feature special pre- and post-game programming surrounding the College Football Playoffs Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and National Championship games. Broadcasting from game locations will be a lineup of former coaches and players, including Rick Neuheisel, Danny Kanell, Jacob Hester, EJ Manuel, Cole Cubelic and Roddy Jones, alongside college sports experts Nicole Auerbach and Chris Childers.

SiriusXM will be carrying the official radio broadcasts for many of the schools playing in Division I FBS bowl games through its agreements with LEARFIELD, Legends, Playfly, Van Wagner or individual universities. Twenty-five of the bowl game broadcasts – including the College Football Playoff games – are produced and provided by ESPN Radio or an affiliate. Other national broadcasts are provided by Bowl Season Radio and Touchdown Radio.
