Borderland Festival Welcomes Jack White, Alabama Shakes and Lord Huron

The Borderland Music and Arts Festival returns to East Aurora, New York from September 18-20, bringing another expansive weekend of music to Knox Farm State Park, just 15 minutes from Buffalo. This year’s lineup is led by Jack White, Alabama Shakes and Lord Huron, anchoring a diverse bill of more than two dozen acts. Also set to appear are Pixies, The Head and the Heart, Jesse Welles, Flipturn, Chance Peña, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Mon Rovîa, Arcy Drive and Jonah Kagen.

Presale tickets go live February 26 at 10 am EST, with the general onsale beginning February 27 at 10 am EST. Fans can register for a presale code at borderlandfestival.com. Three-day general admission passes and single-day tickets are available, along with VIP upgrades that include lounge access, premium viewing areas, upgraded restrooms, private bars and additional seating. Rocklahoma returns for its 20th anniversary celebration, once again transforming the Rockin’ Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma into a three-day destination for heritage rock and pit-fueled hardcore. This year’s lineup is topped by thrash icons Slayer, celebrating 40 years of ‘Reign in Blood,’ alongside Papa Roach and Godsmack. The stacked bill also features Stone Temple Pilots, Cypress Hill, Black Label Society, Insane Clown Posse, Jet, Buckcherry, Militarie Gun, Ugly Kid Joe and many more. Produced by Pryor Creek Music Festivals, Rocklahoma has built its reputation on community as much as music. The Academy of Country Music, Dick Clark Productions and MGM have announced ticket on-sale details for the 61st ACM Awards and a full slate of ACM Awards week events. The 61st ACM Awards will take place Sunday, May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will once again stream live exclusively on Prime Video. Pre-sale tickets begin February 25 at 10 am PT, with general on-sale starting February 27 at 10 am PT.

ACM Awards week will feature ACM Lifting Lives Country on the Green: Riley Green & Friends on May 15 at Topgolf Las Vegas, headlined by Riley Green, with additional performers to be announced. The weekend continues with ACM Next Wave: Country’s Beach Bash on May 16 at Mandalay Bay Beach, spotlighting rising country stars in a large-scale outdoor setting. Southern California punk veterans Pennywise will hit the West Coast this May for a seven-date run across California and Arizona, joined by fellow hardcore staples Circle Jerks, H2O and DFL. Presales are underway, with general tickets on sale February 27 at 10 am local time.

The West Coast dates are part of Pennywise’s broader 2026 tour, which begins March 20 in Santiago, Colombia, and continues through mid-July. Formed in Hermosa Beach in 1988, the band helped define the melodic hardcore sound that emerged from Southern California’s late 1980s punk underground. Over more than three decades, they have built a global following with relentless touring and enduring anthems like “Fuck Authority,” “Alien,” and “Bro Hymn.”

With a lineup that pairs classic SoCal energy and East Coast hardcore intensity, the May run promises stacked bills and high-impact shows from start to finish.

Linda Perry has released “Beautiful,” the first single from her upcoming solo album ‘Let It Die Here,’ arriving May 8 via Kill Rock Stars and 670 Records. Revisiting her iconic anthem, Perry delivers a stripped-back, deeply intimate performance that reframes the song through her own lived experience. The track sets the tone for her first solo album in more than 25 years, a project born during the filming of her personal documentary, also titled ‘Let It Die Here.’

To accompany the release, Perry collaborated with Sara Gilbert on a visually striking short film inspired by a 1940s-era talent show. From the first listen, “Hell Ride” locks in with bright guitars, crisp production and a soaring chorus that feels built for repeat spins. Channeling the melodic polish of HAIM and the glossy punch of The Aces, the track pairs infectious energy with emotional intensity. Stein’s crystal-clear vocals glide over the production as she dives headfirst into the thrill of obsessive love, delivering the striking lyric: “what you do to me should be criminal / cause life without you is one bad hell ride.”

Stein describes the song as an exploration of devotion pushed beyond comfort. Leaning into the character at the heart of the track, she embraces the drama and indulgence of feelings that once felt too raw to voice. Martin Short’s Daughter Katherine Hartley Short Dies at 42

Katherine Hartley Short, the daughter of Martin Short and his late wife Nancy Dolman, has died at 42. A representative for the family confirmed the news, sharing that they are experiencing profound grief and asking for privacy during this time.

In a statement, the family said Katherine “was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”

Katherine built a career dedicated to helping others. She earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2006 and went on to receive her Master of Social Work from University of Southern California in 2010. She worked as a licensed clinical social worker in Los Angeles, specializing in areas including adoption, anxiety, depression, grief and relationship challenges. Earlier in her career, she worked at UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital and contributed to mental health initiatives focused on reducing stigma.

Katherine was the eldest of three children adopted by Short and Dolman. Dolman died in 2010 after a battle with ovarian cancer. Katherine is survived by her brothers, Oliver and Henry.
