Ahead of his forthcoming new album Country! Country!, superstar Hardy shares the long-awaited fan favorite “Dog Years.” Written more than ten years ago before Hardy had signed a publishing deal, the song resurfaced last fall when the Mississippi native performed it at a charity event for Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation, and fans have clamored for its release since.

“Dog Years” follows the previously released “Bottomland”—watch the music video here—and “Bro Country” with Ernest.

Hardy will wrap up his months-long Jim Bob World Tour next week with his first-ever headline show at Madison Square Garden. The tour has seen him headline festivals and his own shows coast to coast with support from Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., McCoy Moore, and inaugural Crow Records signee Sikarus.

On December 2nd, the American Cancer Society, Hardy’s recently launched charity endeavor The Hardy Fund and Whiskey Jam will present Country vs. Cancer, a concert to benefit the ACS. Hardy will headline alongside Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Lanie Gardner and McCoy Moore at The Pinnacle in Nashville.

The Chainsmokers Drop Euphoric New Single “Smooth” With Cinematic Video Shot in Big Bear

0

Grammy Award-winning and chart-topping artist/producer duo The Chainsmokers return with their latest single, “Smooth,” via Sony Music. Opening with airy textures and delicate piano, “Smooth” eases into a reflective space before erupting into a euphoric drop that transforms the track into a full-scale banger. Shimmering synths, crisp percussion, and a surging beat collide to create a sound that balances atmospheric beauty with sheer dancefloor power. Sneaking the song into their recent live sets, the track has already been high in demand and igniting crowds across the country.

The release arrives alongside an official video directed by Jackson Wigger and starring Alex and Drew with special guest Mishoo Pall. Shot against the backdrop of Big Bear, California, the visual mirrors the track’s cinematic feel and captures a sense of liberation and escapism — from windblown performances in the back of a truck soaring down an open highway, to carefree joyrides across the water in a speeding boat.

“Smooth” follows on the heels of their latest tracks “Helium” and “White Wine & Adderall,” collectively marking a fresh chapter in their ever-evolving sound. Next, they’ll bring the track to stages across North America and Mexico, including their signature Vegas residency, Breakaway Music Festival in Alabama, and Festival Pulso GNP in Santiago de Querétaro.

Public Enemy Ignite Hip-Hop With ‘Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025’

0

Hip-hop pioneers and cultural icons Public Enemy announce the October 10th physical release of their first album in five years, Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025, following its surprise digital release in June. The album will now be available in both CD and vinyl formats, including three exclusive vinyl variants: “Earth” (Barnes & Noble/Natural Black Swirl Opaque Mix vinyl), “Wind” (MVDShop.com/Light Gray Marble Opaque Mix vinyl, Exclusive Artist-Signed Edition), and “Fire” (Zia Records/Blood Orange Opaque Mix vinyl).

On the album, Chuck D’s lyrical firepower and the inimitable Flavor Flav fearlessly call out the ills that plague society, politics, corporations and even ourselves while challenging us to do better. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winners also celebrate the power of music itself, with tracks like “Here Come The Drums,” the ebullient love letter to hip-hop, “Get Down,” and the single, “March Madness.” Earlier this summer, the group released the playfully surreal video to “Sexegenarian Vape.”

“This album is a give-back to all of our fans with gratitude and appreciation,” says Chuck D, “we see and appreciate you.” “We’re bringing our beats to the world with this album,” adds Flavor Flav.

Public Enemy’s classic albums are the soundtrack to hip-hop’s rise as social and political commentary with their debut album, Yo! Bum Rush The Show.

Their sophomore effort, 1988’s It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, is one of the most important records ever made. Fear of a Black Planet featured Public Enemy’s signature song, “Fight The Power,” used by Spike Lee in his film “Do The Right Thing.” The album also included the powerful “911 Is a Joke” and “Welcome To The Terrordome.” Apocalypse 91…The Enemy Strikes Black carried on the group’s legacy, reaching No. 4 on the album chart and going platinum. The record included “By the Time I Get To Arizona,” demanding that America confront race relations after the state’s governor refused to recognize the new Martin Luther King, Jr. national holiday. In 2012, Public Enemy’s “Harder Than You Think” went to No. 1 on the UK urban and indie singles chart and to No. 4 on the official UK singles chart, their tenth Top 40 hit in England and their highest charting single ever.

By 2020, Public Enemy were tapped to open the BET Awards with a remix of “Fight The Power,” where they were joined by Nas, Rapsody, The Roots, YG, and Jahi in a fiery protest against the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless others at the hands of police officers. The critically acclaimed album, “What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down,” was released that year on Def Jam and featured guest performances by the Beastie Boys’ Mike D and Ad-Rock, George Clinton, Cypress Hill, Ice-T, PMD, Run-DMC and more.

5 Best AI Lyrics Generators for Your Songwriting Inspiration

0

By Mitch Rice

Need a creative boost for your songwriting? AI writing tools have emerged as a powerful solution for creating lyrics. When writer’s block strikes or you’re searching for fresh perspectives, these platforms can spark new ideas and help you break through creative barriers.

Here are five free AI lyric generators that can enhance your songwriting process, each offering helpful features to inspire your next hit.

Wrizzle

Wrizzle is an online AI writer platform with a straightforward lyric generator tool. Its clean, minimalist interface works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices, allowing you to start creating lyrics instantly without any complicated setup.

The tool’s simplicity is one of its main strengths. You can quickly generate lyrics by specifying:

• Your lyric topic

• Musical style

• Desired mood

• Language preference

• Any additional instructions for customization

What sets Wrizzle apart is its access to advanced AI models. Beyond GPT-4, it also employs Claude 3.5 Sonnet, which excels at creative writing and can produce more nuanced, emotionally resonant lyrics. The platform offers 5 free generations, letting you test different combinations of settings to find the right lyrics for your song.

Beyond generating lyrics, Wrizzle includes helpful features like the ability to rewrite text, allowing you to refine and polish your lyrics until they perfectly match your vision. You can also summarize text from existing songs or your own lengthy drafts, helping you distill core themes and emotions into more focused lyrics. These tools make it a versatile platform for both creating new content and refining existing work.

Rytr

Rytr stands out with its comprehensive lyric creation features. This versatile platform supports over 30 languages and offers more than 20 different tones, giving you extensive control over your lyrics’ style and emotional impact.

The songwriting process is highly customizable:

• Input your song idea or concept

• Choose from 5 creativity levels

• Select the number of variants (1-3) you want to generate

• Pick from 20+ tones to match your song’s mood

One of Rytr’s most valuable features is its built-in rich text editor, which allows you to edit and refine your generated lyrics directly on the platform. The tool also automatically saves your generation history, making it easy to revisit and compare different versions of your lyrics.

For free users, Rytr offers a generous monthly allowance of 10,000 characters. This makes it a practical choice for songwriters who want to experiment with AI-assisted lyric writing without committing to a paid subscription.

Freshbots AI Song Lyrics Generator

Unlike Wrizzle and Rytr, Freshbots is a dedicated lyric generator built specifically for songwriting. This specialization allows it to focus entirely on creative lyric generation.

The tool offers three complementary approaches to lyric creation:

• Topics: Set up to 3 main themes for your song

• Keywords: Specify words you want incorporated

• Emotions: Define the emotional journey through up to 3 mood changes

You can choose from 10 different genres including Rap, Drill, Pop, Country, Rock, Gospel, Soul, Metal, Reggae, and Breakup songs. To further customize your lyrics, you can also input a title and specific starting lines. If you’re stuck for ideas, the platform provides inspiration prompts to help kickstart your creativity.

The tool is completely free to use, though you may encounter some ads. Creating an account allows you to save your generated lyrics, and you can join their Discord community to discuss songwriting and stay updated on new features.

GenerateLyrics.io

GenerateLyrics.io is an AI lyric generator that supports 27 music genres, from Pop to Metal and Jazz to Latin, alongside 15 emotional tones to shape your lyrics’ mood.

The platform’s unique strength lies in its rhyme scheme system. You can specify exact patterns like ABAB or AABB, and customize words per line for precise rhythm control. This technical focus helps create more structured and professionally formatted lyrics.

The tool offers a complete songwriting workflow. You can generate complete lyrics, create specific sections like chorus or verse, and enhance existing work through rewrite and improvement features. The platform also includes helper tools like topic generators and structure templates to guide your creative process.

Jarvis AI

Jarvis AI stands out with its unique ability to generate lyrics in specific artist styles. This versatile lyric writing assistant can either create original lyrics or act as a co-writer by continuing existing ones, supporting over 40 languages and more than 60 music genres from pop and rock to hip hop and country.

Beyond standard parameters like topic, mood, and song parts, Jarvis offers creative controls through artist style selection and a chaos setting that affects the randomness of generated lyrics. It handles both classic rhyme patterns and more complex ones, including multi-syllabic rhymes, assonances, and homophones.

The tool caters to all skill levels – from beginners to professional songwriters and producers. While registration is required to access the features, its artist-style-based generation and adjustable creativity make it particularly valuable for exploring different songwriting approaches.

Conclusion

Each of these AI lyric generators brings something unique to the table. The best choice depends on your specific needs: beginners might prefer Wrizzle’s simplicity, while technical writers may gravitate toward Jarvis. Remember, these tools work best when used as inspiration sources rather than a replacement for your creative voice. Start with the free tier of any of these platforms, experiment with different approaches, and find the one that best complements your songwriting style.
