After much anticipation, Dave has returned to announce his eagerly awaited third album – The Boy Who Played the Harp to be released October 24th with pre-order available now.
Widely regarded as the most exciting storyteller of his generation, the announcement marks the first taste of a new chapter from the multi award-winning musician behind the critically acclaimed No.1 albums Psychodrama and We’re All Alone in This Together.
The Boy Who Played the Harp will be the first release from Dave since 2023, when self-produced Central Cee collaboration ‘Sprinter’ broke the record for the longest running #1 rap record in UK chart history, succeeding his 2022 single ‘Starlight’ which set the record for longest-running No.1 solo UK track, and the first UK No.1 by a sole writer and producer in 8 years.
The record-breaking release of We’re All Alone In This Together in July 2021 confirmed Dave as one of the most established artists of our time, with the biggest first week sales across all genres for 2 years at the time (74,000+) and the biggest UK Rap record in over a decade, achieving gold status within 3 weeks of release, and quickly becoming his second Platinum album.
The Boy Who Played the Harp is available to pre-order via Dave’s website here.
Fresh off the heels of her latest album THE ART OF BEING A MESS, breakout vocalist and songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith unveils a new song, “Thick Skin.” Listen/share HERE.
“I wrote ‘Thick Skin’ during a time when I felt both anger and power,” says Spencer Smith. “It’s about realizing that every setback was actually building my strength—that what was meant to break me only made me tougher. My hope is that this song inspires people to embrace their resilience and recognize that true strength is the best revenge.”
“Thick Skin” follows the success of her critically acclaimed sophomore albumTHE ART OF BEING A MESS, out now via Island Records/Republic Records.

True to its name, THE ART OF BEING A MESS captures the emotional rollercoaster Spencer Smith experienced while writing her second album. Reflecting on the chaos of being human, each song finds Spencer Smith revisiting real stories and experiences in her life. With this album, she reminds listeners to embrace and feel comfortable in their emotions, that not everything is black-and-white.
THE ART OF BEING A MESS follows her debut album, Mirror (2023), which features the RIAA Certified Platinum singles “Flowers” and “Fingers Crossed”—the latter of which peaked at #19 on the BillboardHot 100 and has reached over 875 million global streams.
From a small town on Vancouver Island, Spencer Smith began her musical journey in 2019, gaining a sizeable audience online. Through her music, she explored breakups, complex feelings about school, family and friends. Spencer Smith has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the People’s Choice Awards—where she was also a Best New Artist nominee.

Following a summer packed with standout performances and fan-favorite collaborations, multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley will expand his 11th studio album with BROKEN BRANCHES EXTENDED, out this Friday, October 3. Bentley continues to grow his signature blend of against-the-grain creative courage, offering two brand new tracks, including the rowdy standout “IYKYK” and the driving, dobro-laced “All Night to Figure It Out.” Fans can pre-save BROKEN BRANCHES EXTENDED ahead of Friday’s release HERE.
The punchy foot-stomper “IYKYK” comes out swinging with a spirited mandolin riff, courtesy of Charlie Worsham, that hits like a honky tonk anthem on overdrive. With lyrical nods to fiddle, steel guitar, Natty Light and Friday nights, Bentley leans into a defiant celebration of the country way of life—one that doesn’t need explaining if you already live it. Meanwhile, “All Night to Figure It Out” sets the (acoustic) mood for a little romantic research. Burning with slow-grooving, stomp-and-clap desire, the dobro-drenched jangle rocker features a loose, casual sway, with Bentley’s easy vocal in no hurry for the moment to end.
The two new tracks join Broken Branches’ original 11, which have been praised for being “full of heart and commitment to his craft as a musician and a songwriter” (Country Central) and for linking “country’s roots to its present in the most seamless and timeless-feeling manner possible” (Tennessean) since the album’s release in June. Rooted in raw honesty and storytelling, the album embraces life’s outliers and underdogs with songs about resilience, change, and connection. Praised for its “distinctive and daring sound” (Esquire), the original collection features a cross-generational lineup of collaborators—including John Anderson, Riley Green, Miranda Lambert, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
BROKEN BRANCHES EXTENDED Track List:
Cold Beer Can (featuring Stephen Wilson Jr) Jesus Loves Me She Hates Me Something Worth Fixing Standing In The Sun Well Well Whiskey Broken Branches (featuring John Anderson and Riley Green) Off The Map Near You (featuring Miranda Lambert) For As Long As I Can Remember Don’t Cry For Me IYKYK All Night to Figure It Out
After more than 20 years on country’s family tree, the multi-Platinum superstar’s new album follows eight Number One albums, 22 Number One songs and over 9.5 billion global streams, plus 15 Grammy nominations and membership in the historic Grand Ole Opry. Bentley also launched the Broken Branches Fund this summer, a multi-year initiative in partnership with Music Health Alliance to provide mental health support for the music industry’s creative and touring professionals. Continuing the path built from the ground up, as an entrepreneur, he has four locations of the gastropub and live music venue “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row,” has a Flag & Anthem lifestyle collection “Desert Son” and recently released a third expression of ROW 94 – a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey crafted with only “three ingredients and the truth” at Kentucky’s Green River Distilling Co.
TORONTO, CANADA – The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue opens exclusively in theatres across North America today, October 3, 2025. To purchase tickets, go here.
Directed by acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Barry Avrich, The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue tells the extraordinary true story of retired Israeli general Noam Tibon, who on October 7, 2023, received a desperate text from his son: terrorists had stormed his home, and he, his wife, and their two young daughters feared for their lives. With no time to spare, Tibon embarked on a ten-hour mission across a country under siege to save his family.
Relying on instinct and military training, Tibon navigated ambushes, roadblocks, and a collapsing security system in a relentless race against time. Blending intimate firsthand testimony with the raw urgency of a survival thriller, the film retraces every step of that harrowing day.
Set against the backdrop of one of Israel’s darkest days, The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue is both a gripping retelling of an extraordinary rescue and an unflinching look at the failures and resilience revealed on October 7. At its heart, it is a profoundly human story about courage, family, and the power of love in the face of unimaginable terror.
Barry Avrich, Director, says, “When I first heard Noam’s story, I knew it was not just a story of one man’s courage, but of family, resilience, and the choices we make in the face of terror. This film retraces an extraordinary day but also reflects the broader human capacity for bravery and love in the darkest of moments. I am honored to share this story with audiences across North America and grateful to our partners who believed in its importance from the very beginning.”
This release is also being supported by The Impact Series, a social-issue–focused organization committed to using film as a catalyst for awareness and action.
In Colombia, the sound of success for female artists is unmistakable, and much of that success is fueled by female fans. According to Spotify data, 58% of listeners of female artists in the country are women, highlighting a vibrant ecosystem where women are championing and elevating one another.
And the momentum is clear: Over the past five years, streams of female artists in Colombia have increased fivefold, while the catalog of songs by Colombian women has grown by 36%. The impact goes far beyond national borders. Globally, Colombian female artists have seen their streams grow 170 times in the last decade, cementing their status as cultural exports who are captivating audiences worldwide.
This remarkable growth reflects a changing industry. As Mia Nygren, Managing Director for Latin America at Spotify, notes: “The industry has evolved greatly in the decade Spotify has been in Latin America, and women’s roles have shifted as well. The numbers reflect this—not only in streams, but also in royalties. Still, they know there’s much more to be done, and that’s why we continue creating spaces and initiatives to promote and spotlight women in music.”
Empowerment Days: Building community in Bogotá
To fuel this momentum and address ongoing challenges, Spotify recently brought these milestones and conversations to the forefront at the third edition of Empowerment Days at Casa Spotify Bogotá. Designed by and for women in the music industry, the event is a cornerstone of Spotify’s global EQUAL initiative. EQUAL, which champions women artists and creators both on- and off-platform, has supported more than 1,200 ambassadors worldwide.
Across two days, managers, producers, artists, and creators gathered to share advice and reflect on the unique challenges women face in music. A highlight was a panel featuring Mia, manager Rebeca León, and singer-songwriter ELENA ROSE, who discussed topics like education, independence, and the importance of financial literacy.
“Education is my top recommendation,” advised ELENA ROSE. “Be across everything, read what you sign, understand every meeting. That way, you’ll avoid mistakes other artists have made.”
León echoed this sentiment, stating, “We need to talk about and understand money. It’s not all about shows or performances. Every creative idea should generate income so you can make a living doing what you love.”
A movement in motion
Empowerment Days wasn’t just about powerful dialogue; it was also a celebration of talent. Alongside the conversations, the event pulsed with live music as EQUAL artists Ysa C, Delfina Dib, and ELENA ROSE took the stage, reinforcing the spirit and energy behind this movement.
And this is just the beginning. Spotify remains committed to fostering and amplifying the voices of women who are not just participating in, but actively shaping, the future of music in Colombia and around the world.

Personalization is at the heart of Spotify. When you ask listeners what they love most about Spotify, more than 81% cite their personalization, and they’re always evolving to help you create a listening journey that’s uniquely yours. Starting today, you can exclude individual tracks from your Taste Profile, in addition to playlists.
Your Taste Profile is Spotify’s interpretation of your taste, based on what you listen to and how you listen to it. It helps inform your recommendations, from Discover Weekly to your Home page, and personalizes experiences like Wrapped and Blend.
Excluding a track will lessen the impact of both past and future streams of that song on your recommendations, so your “just for the moment” listening doesn’t end up skewing your Spotify experience.
You’ve already been able to exclude select playlists from your Taste Profile, and now you can do the same for any track, whether it’s a calming sleep sound, your kids’ go-to song, or a one-off listen that doesn’t fit your usual vibe.
How to exclude a track from your Taste Profile
This feature is available now for Free and Premium users globally on web, desktop, iOS, and Android. Here’s how it works for individual tracks and playlists:
Select the track or playlist you want to exclude.
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of your screen.
Choose “Exclude from your Taste Profile” (or “Include in your Taste Profile” to add it back later).
With more control over your Taste Profile, your recommendations and personalized features can stay true to your unique musical taste, even if your listening habits sometimes take a detour. Spotify’s recommendations will keep evolving with you so your listening experience stays fresh and personal.

Rising Nashville star named Music Row’s 2025 Discovery Artist of the Year Carter Faith shares her highly anticipated debut album, Cherry Valley, via Gatsby Records/MCA today—stream/purchase here.
Reflecting on the debut project, Carter shares, “It feels surreal to say that Cherry Valley is finally out into the world. Me and everyone who have worked on this record have truly put our entire hearts into this music and creative. I feel like Cherry Valley has brought magic into my life, I love this album and am proud that it is my debut record.”
Carter also shares the official music video for “Betty” today.
The release follows news of Carter’s forthcoming acting debut, as she’s set to star alongside Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain in Netflix’s upcoming film Heartland. It also comes after a string of previously unveiled album singles including “Bar Star,” accompanied by a music video starring Academy Award-winner Billy Bob Thornton, which debuted to enthusiastic acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard and Entertainment Tonight.
Cherry Valley is a document of Carter’s time in Nashville, working chronologically through her breakout successes and gut-punching breakups, new loves and family dustups. It’s named for an imagined place, a road sign Carter once saw that came to signify her creative home, a sweet spot where her old school influences like Tammy Wynette, Nancy Sinatra, Pet Sounds and Revolver meet today’s country. The album synthesizes all that into a signature Carter Faith sound.
The songs on Cherry Valley span Carter’s journey from her North Carolina hometown to Nashville, with all the heartbreak, triumph and hazy nights in between. Carter and longtime producer Tofer Brown spent two years crafting tracks for the album before finally entering the studio in 2024 to lay it down. All the while, Carter was working relentlessly to climb the ranks of country music, signing to MCA and Universal Music Publishing Group, gracing the Opry stage a dozen times, sharing stages with idols like Willie Nelson, and racking up hundreds of millions of streams.
Following her Stagecoach debut and runs with Ella Langley and Carly Pearce, Carter joined Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild on the stage of the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors for a duet of “Lies Lies Lies” written by ACM Songwriter of the Year, Jessie Jo Dillon. Carter is currently on the road as part of Noah Cyrus’ extensive I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me tour and will finish off the year supporting Kelsea Ballerini this winter. Today, GRAMMY-winning global recording artist Kali Uchis releases Sincerely: P.S., the deluxe version of acclaimed fifth studio album Sincerely. Out now via Capitol Records, the expanded set adds five songs to the tracklist of her most personal project yet, including dreamy new single “Pretty Promises” featuring Mariah The Scientist.
Last weekend, Uchis’ brought her biggest tour yet to a grand finale at The Intuit Dome in Los Angeles — a full-circle moment after kicking off The Sincerely, Tour with back-to-back sold-out shows at the nearby Kia Forum. With each stop (which included two nights at Madison Square Garden as well) she took the audience on a multi-phase journey beginning with Sincerely, and traveling back in time through every one of her critically adored albums. She’s also brought out special guest performers along the way, including Peso Pluma, Tyler the Creator, SZA, Steve Lacy, JT, Rauw Alejandro, and Ravyn Lenae. In Atlanta, Mariah The Scientist joined to perform their recent team-up for her album, “Is It a Crime,” before she and Uchis previewed “Pretty Promises,”.
“Pretty Promises” is the second in a pair of duets exclusive to Sincerely: P.S. — Uchis announced the album last month alongside new song “Cry about it!” featuring Rayvyn Lenae. The duo then performed the bilingual cut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, bringing its lush, modern doo-wop to life on a set designed to look like the inside of a ballerina jewelry box.
Written and executive-produced by Uchis — and arriving after her becoming a mother — Sincerely, is her most intimate work to date. A testament to the curative power of deep love, and a stunning representation of the way Uchis romanticizes life, the album hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and includes the singles “All I Can Say,” “Sunshine & Rain…,” and “ILYSMIH.” Rolling Stone called the set “a vulnerable meditation on motherhood and memory, adding, “It’s all there, together: love and hurt, heaven and earth, birth and loss.” Uchis spoke on the LP’s inspiration with Billboard, Marie Claire, Los Angeles Times, and Zane Lowe, among others.
Kali Uchis, Sincerely: P.S. 1. “Heaven Is a Home…” 2. “Sugar! Honey! Love!” 3. “Lose My Cool,” 4. “It’s Just Us” 5. “Territorial” 6. “Silk Lingerie,” 7. “Fall Apart,” 8. “All I Can Say” 9. “Daggers!” 10. “For: You” 11. “Angels All Around Me…” 12. “Breeze!” 13. “Sunshine & Rain…” 14. “ILYSMIH” 15. “Cry about it!” ft. Ravyn Lenae 16. “Whispers of the Wind…” 17. “Pretty Promises,” ft. Mariah the Scientist 18. “Cherry on Top” 19. “All of the Good”
Global superstar and GRAMMY-winning recording artist Kali Uchis has been hailed as a rare talent since she emerged. With artful forays into R&B, alt-pop, reggaeton, and Latin strains, she’s has released several of the most lauded albums of the past decade: from her 2015 mixtape Por Vida, to her 2018 debut LP Isolation, the 2020 Spanish set Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), 2023’s Red Moon in Venus, which features the 2x Platinum-certified “Moonlight,” and was regaled by TIME Magazine as the ‘Best Album of the Year,’ 2024’s ORQUÍDEAS, and now her most personal body of work, her fifth studio album Sincerely,.
In 2024, ORQUÍDEAS launched Uchis’ career to new heights. Her highest charting album to date (debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200), the critically adored record — which was her fourth album overall and second in Spanish — was led by crossover singles like the Platinum-certified “Igual Que un Ángel” with Peso Pluma (#1 on Hot Latin Songs, #23 on the Hot 100) and Gold-certified “Labios Mordidos” with KAROL G (#10 on Hot Latin Songs, #97 on the Hot 100). ORQUÍDEAS was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards, Best Pop Vocal Album at the Latin GRAMMYs, and took home trophies from the Billboard Latin Music Awards and Latin American Music Awards. The set closed the year on numerous “Best Albums” lists, racking up glowing praise from countless outlets including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Complex, and The New York Times.
Amid consistent acclaim and honors — including nine GRAMMY-nominations and a 2021 win in the category of Best Dance Song for her appearance on Kaytranada’s “10%” — Uchis’ major breakthrough came with her own 2021 smash hit “telepatía,” which has been streamed more than 2 billion times to date and was the Hot 100’s longest running Spanish-language song by a solo act this decade with a 23-week streak. Uchis is now on the way to reaching the Spotify Billions Club three times over with the smash success of songs “telepatía,” Tyler, The Creator’s “See You Again” featuring Uchis, and soon to be “Moonlight.” Raised between Virginia and Colombia, Uchis has gone on to collaborate and share the stage with the likes of SZA, Tyler, The Creator, Lana Del Rey, Gorillaz, Snoop Dogg, Rauw Alejandro, and her longtime partner Don Toliver, with whom she welcomed her first child last year. Uchis has toured the world over on multiple sold-out headlining runs, the most recent of which saw her playing arenas, as well as celebrated sets at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Austin City Limits, Tropicalia, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and many more.
R&B singer-songwriter Mariah The Scientist hails from Atlanta, GA, and released her first studio album on Epic Records, To Be Eaten Alive, in October 2024. The album, which featured guest appearances from 21 Savage, Kaytranada, Vory, and Young Thug, earned Mariah the first Billboard 200 debut of her career and a Top 50 placement on the Billboard R&B Albums chart. It spawned the To Be Eaten Alive Tour, a sold-out trek through Europe and North America, as well as Mariah’s spot on Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea Tour, which brought the To Be Eaten Alive experience to legendary venues like Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas.
Her core following, cultivated through visceral emotional expression on her first three projects — Master, Ry Ry World, and The Intermission — continues to grow and helps position her as one of R&B’s brightest young stars. Mariah’s musical curiosity was born in childhood, exposed to a variety of musical acts by her father. “Coldplay comes [to Atlanta], someone that he was definitely playing for me as a child, and then I open for them,” she recalls. From there, Mariah’s journey took her to NYC via St. John’s University, where she studied pediatric anesthesiology. Though she halted her scholastic pursuit to chase her dreams as an entertainer, the “Scientist” moniker stuck with her. That said, it’s Mariah’s art that makes her unique.
The vulnerable, raw expression that composes much of Mariah The Scientist’s catalog distinguishes her from much of today’s mainstream landscape, something she’s keen on continuing even as her profile grows. From performances at Coachella and Pitchfork Music Festival to collaborations beside Lil Baby, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Chris Brown, A Boogie, and Young Thug — not to mention her performance at the latest BET Awards of the Billboard Hot 100-charting “IDGAF” with Tee Grizzley — there’s no debating that Mariah is worthy of the spotlight. Still, she refuses to take the opportunity to genuinely connect with her audience for granted. “I don’t think that creating art should be super forced. When you try to force art, you don’t like it. At least the creator winds up not liking it. And a lot of times, people don’t realize that.”
