Billy Morrison And Ozzy Osbourne Reach UK Vinyl Chart Milestone

0

Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne achieve a major chart milestone as “Gods of Rock N Roll” debuts at No. 3 on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart. The double A-side vinyl picture disc release also enters the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 14 and the Official Physical Singles Chart at No. 3. The achievement marks Osbourne’s first appearance on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart as a solo artist and stands as a significant posthumous chart entry.

Originally written in 2015, “Gods of Rock N Roll” was later reimagined with a full orchestral arrangement at the direction of Osbourne and released through TLG | Zoid. The double A-side also includes “Crack Cocaine,” which previously reached No. 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart. The release has recorded additional success with Top 10 placements on Billboard’s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart and the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, and now serves as a centerpiece of the deluxe edition of ‘The Morrison Project’.

Tom Hamilton Releases ‘I’m Your Vampire’ His First Solo Album

0

Tom Hamilton releases ‘I’m Your Vampire’, his first full-length project under his own name, out now via AWAL and Relix. The album follows years of work leading bands including Brothers Past, American Babies, and Ghost Light, alongside his roles with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Bill Kreutzmann’s Billy & the Kids. Across ten tracks, Hamilton documents personal change, isolation, and creative independence, presenting music written without compromise or distance from lived experience.

The album’s centerpiece, “Kissing With Your Eyes Closed,” was the first completed song and helped shape the direction of the record. “The balancing of heavy and lovely sounds, and the dance of kink and romance in the lyrics all acted as a perfect bellwether for what we wrote next,” Hamilton says. The album also includes “Don’t Give Up On Me” and “Walking Backwards,” with Hamilton noting, “This is how I process the world. I live my life for a few years, and then whatever happens, I try to make art out of it.”

Uncle Floyd, Beloved Cult TV Icon and Musical Ringmaster, Dies at 74

0

Florio “Floyd” Vivino, known to generations of viewers as Uncle Floyd, has died, leaving behind a legacy that is as strange, joyful, and deeply influential as the man himself. For more than two decades, The Uncle Floyd Show blurred the line between childrens television, absurdist comedy, and underground music culture. What looked chaotic on the surface was powered by warmth, musicality, and a genuine love for performance that made the show feel like a secret shared between host and audience.

Vivino was a true original. A gifted pianist, comedian, and broadcaster, he created a world where puppets talked back, crew members became characters, and legendary musicians sat comfortably beside local bands. Long before irony became a mainstream language, Uncle Floyd understood how to speak to kids and adults at the same time. His show became a cultural touchstone in New Jersey and beyond, quietly shaping comedians, musicians, and artists who saw in it a permission slip to be weird, sincere, and fearless on their own terms.

The outpouring of tributes following his death speaks to how far his influence reached. From David Bowie writing a song inspired by his show to punk bands name-checking him in lyrics, Uncle Floyd occupied a rare space where cult television met lasting artistic impact. More than anything, he will be remembered for creating joy, championing outsiders, and proving that imagination, when treated seriously, can last forever.
