What Booking Agents Look for When Choosing New Artists

So you’ve got songs, maybe even a band name your friends don’t roll their eyes at, and you’re wondering what makes a booking agent actually take notice. The truth? It’s not a mysterious checklist tucked away in some industry handbook. It’s a mix of gut feeling, a few key signals, and whether or not you can keep people from scrolling on their phones when you’re onstage.

First thing: sound like yourself. If an agent listens to your track and immediately knows it’s you without glancing at the playlist, you’re doing something right. Originality doesn’t mean reinventing music, it just means bringing something into the room that feels fresh, like “oh, that could only be them.”

Then there’s the live show. Agents watch how you hold a crowd, not just how well you hit the high notes. Do people lean forward instead of heading for the bar? Do they cheer like they’re in on a secret? That’s gold.

Offstage, it matters that you’re easy to work with. If you answer emails, show up on time, and don’t make soundcheck an Olympic sport, you’re already ahead of half the game. It shows you’re ready for bigger opportunities without someone needing to chase you down.

Yes, image and audience play into it too. Having some kind of story, vibe, or even just a decent Instagram presence makes it easier to sell your name on a poster. Agents want to know people will care enough to buy tickets—and if you’ve already got folks cheering you on, that’s even better.

Finally, the long game is what seals it. Can you keep writing, keep growing, keep surprising people? Agents look for artists who aren’t just here for a quick flash but can actually build momentum year after year.

At the end of the day, signing on is about spotting that spark and seeing where it might go. Get those pieces right, and you’re not just another act—you’re a partnership waiting to happen.

Sting’s Isolated Vocals For The Police’s “Roxanne”

“Roxanne,” released by The Police in 1978, is one of the band’s signature songs, written by Sting about a man falling in love with a prostitute. Reissued in 1979, it climbed to #12 on the U.K. charts and later earned a place in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” Its legacy grew as it opened the band’s 2007 Grammy performance and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.

By Mitch Rice

Images have a massive impact on communication, branding, and content production in the contemporary digital world. It does not matter what type of business you are running online, whether it is an online store, a blog, or social media content; high-quality images are needed. But image editing can be lengthy and complicated- particularly when one does not possess sophisticated design knowledge. This is where Ezremove steps in to ensure that you do your editing process with ease, quickness, and in a professional way.

The importance of Image Editing Today

Clean and pretty pictures are not a bonus anymore: it has become a need. There is an improved connection between customers or audiences and clear images that do not have distractions, but emphasize the main subject. Eliminating the undesirable features like cluttered backgrounds, logos, or unrelated texts can automatically give your images a professional appearance. Ezremove offers a simple package of background removal and text removal, and in a few seconds, you can create professional images using the program.

Easy Background Removal

When you have ever attempted to remove the background of the photos manually, you realize how difficult it can be. The old-fashioned tools of editing are based on layers, brushes, and other sophisticated tools, whereas Ezremove is a background removal service powered by AI, which means the operator only needs to identify the subject and remove the undesirable background.

This would suit best product shots, profile pictures, or designs. The output is a crisp, professional image that is fit to be placed on websites, e-commerce, or social media.

Effortless Text Removal

Any text that appears on an image, regardless of whether it is a watermark, old caption, or distracting text, can spoil the look of an image. The smart text removal feature is the ability of Ezremov, which allows any text to be removed from any image without leaving traces of blurry text or other distorting effects.

Your image looks brand new and without unwarranted distractions with a few clicks. It can be particularly helpful when a business reuses a visual or a person is intending to restore an old image, when a content maker creates social media posts, or when the business is working on an image.

The Benefit of Ezremove

Contrary to other editing applications, which take several hours of work, Ezremove operates on a high level of artificial intelligence to provide the result within a few seconds. No technical skills or experience in professional editing are required–the platform is easy to use for all. Ezremove saves time and provides high-quality results, both when applied by a business owner who needs to optimize the photos of their product and when used by a content creator who needs to make quick edits.

Final Thoughts

The best is having quality visuals that will present an impact online, and Ezremove will provide you with the means to do it with ease. Background removal, text removal, etc., make a complicated editing procedure into a fast and trustworthy solution. In case you do not want to spend days editing professional photos, Ezremove is the place where you can find simple, captivating, and beautiful content.

By Mitch Rice

Why Is It So Hard to Choose the Right Hairstyle?

Making the correct choice of hairstyle has never been simple. We have probably all had the experience of browsing magazines or social media and being in love with a certain style that looks amazing on someone, but does not seem to suit us.

The reality is, it is not just about the trendiness of your hairstyle, but about the one that will fit you with your unique characteristics. Even things as hair density, face shape, and even jawline contribute to whether a specific cut will make one look flattering. This is precisely where Righthair comes in to transform the manner in which we understand the process of hairstyling.

Test Hairstyles in the Free Hairstyle Filter

Righthair offers you the opportunity to see the fruits of your labor before committing yourself to the new style by walking into a salon and hoping that the new style will look good on you. You can virtually put on a limitless number of hairstyles with the free hairstyle filter. Thinking about a short bob? And asking yourself, Will bangs fit upon your forehead?

Wondered what you would be like with layers or curls? The filter enables one to respond to these questions immediately. The realistic previews make you have the confidence to try something out without any kind of risk in terms of time and stress. It is as though you had a mirror of what your appearance will be in the future.

Facial Analysis Styling

The only difference that makes Righthair stand out in comparison to other hairstyle tools is its capability to transcend generic suggestions. The site is able to interpret your peculiarities with the help of sophisticated facial analysis. The system can tell you what hairstyles you should wear based on the shape of your face and the proportions of the features, as well as whether your bones are symmetrical. You end up with an appearance that brings out your individuality instead of having a look that fits the one-size-fits-all style of beauty. This will imply that your style is not only trendy, but it also suits you.

All the Style You Need in Your Pocket

A facial analyzing effect added to the free hairstyle filter will make it a full-fledged digital styling companion. When you have something big to attend to, such as a wedding or graduation, or when you just want to update your daily appearance, Righthair will be able to provide you with tips that seem as pleasant as what a professional stylist has to say. The platform gives you the power to experiment with radical changes or make minor advances with the assurance that any style of hair will make your natural beauty look even better. Whether you’re curious about a dramatic new cut, a fresh color, or enhancing your look with clip hair extensions, you’ll have the confidence to explore every possibility before making any commitment

Good Hair is the Start of Confidence

We are all aware that hair is a great factor in our perception of ourselves. A befitting hairstyle can make anyone feel better about themselves, and an inappropriate one can even make one feel unnatural in some cases. With Righthair, you eliminate the guesses in the process. Your salon appointment is with a clear and confident mind because you know precisely what to expect. This not only enhances your styling experience but also makes your stylist produce results that match your vision.

Revamp Your Hairstyling

Righthair is not merely a tool, but it is a novel attitude towards beauty and self-expression. It eliminates the hassle of the change process and replaces it with the thrill of its combination of cutting-edge technology and easy-to-use design. You do not need to ask yourself anymore, Will this suit me? Rather, you have an opportunity to preview, analyze, and make a decision. Either you are prepared to make a big change in your hairstyle or you are trying small adjustments, Righthair will make sure that your hairstyle will always match your personality and looks.

John Fogerty Brings Creedence Classics And Solo Hits To Exclusive 2026 Las Vegas Residency

0

John Fogerty is set to return to Las Vegas with a new exclusive engagement, John Fogerty, Live in Las Vegas, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The legendary singer-songwriter will ring in 2026 with a special New Year’s Eve show, followed by additional performances on January 2 and 3 and March 18, 20, and 21, 2026. Fans can expect an electrifying setlist packed with Creedence Clearwater Revival classics and Fogerty’s timeless solo hits.

Presales start on Wednesday, September 10th at 9 am local time, ahead of the general sale on Friday, September 12th.

As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty helped shape the sound of American music, blending blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, and swamp boogie into a genre-defying style that continues to resonate with fans around the world decades after its inception. One of the greatest songwriters of all time, he has received multiple awards and honors for his undeniable impact on music culture including induction in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the BMI Icon Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a special honor for his song “Centerfield” making him the only musician ever honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame. John Fogerty’s songwriting canon spans nearly six decades and includes foundational classics such as “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” Both “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising” have surpassed one billion streams, while “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” continues to go viral on TikTok and has garnered over two billion streams.

Fogerty has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and CCR’s album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits recently logged over 14 years on the Billboard 200, only the fifth album ever to reach that chart milestone. In January 2023, Fogerty regained control over his works, acquiring the majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord.

Today, Fogerty remains as fierce as ever. He is on tour promoting his new album, Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, released on August 22nd. The album is a labor of love celebrating John’s renewed love affair with the music of CCR, and it’s extra special as it features his sons, Shane + Tyler Fogerty. Legacy is not just a celebration of one of the greatest catalogs in rock & roll—it’s the sound of an American original claiming his place, once more, at center stage.

Hajaj Announces Soulful New EP ‘In The Meantime’ With Retro Groove Single “Yours Or Mine”

0

Hajaj possesses the uncanny ability to make any note sound soulful with his cosmic blend of funk, R&B, and Motown-inspired music. After reaching an unforgettable milestone opening for the legendary Stevie Wonder in London’s Hyde Park, the Jeddah-born, London-based singer and songwriter announces In the Meantime, a six-song EP due out October 24th via Nettwerk.

Yours or Mine” is the latest chapter, delivering an understated, textured retro-sounding groove and a melodic bass solo (played by Joe Stoddart) that’s smoother than velvet. Hajaj reunites with his producer and co-writer, Aidan Glover, to bring his vision to life.

“Yours or Mine” follows recent singles “The Waiting Room” and “Maybe It’s You,” both set to appear on In the Meantime.

Singer-songwriter and producer Abdul Rahman Hajaj has always had a knack for life on the road. In just eight years, he went from living in Jeddah to Villars-sur-Ollon, Orange County, Los Angeles, Oregon, Colorado, Barcelona, and now London. There, he met producer and multi-instrumentalist Aidan Glover, who executive-produced Hajaj’s Last Call For Coco (2021).

That EP featured some of London’s finest jazz musicians, with co-writing by Rhys Lewis, mixing by Richard Wilkinson (Amy Winehouse, Lianne La Havas, Paolo Nutini), and mastering by Gwyn Mathias (Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street”). Structured in twenty minutes, the EP tells the story of an undiagnosed bipolar relationship cycle.

Hajaj’s early years were steeped in Arabic poetry and an eclectic household soundtrack that included Feiruz, Talal Maddah, Paco De Lucia, and Pharrell. Feeling caught between two worlds, he turned to music as his refuge and primary form of communication. His songs often carry themes of longing, nostalgia, and the search for home, with the word “why” recurring throughout his writing.

Not much is known about Saudi artists on the global stage, but Hajaj embraces this space of discontinuity as fuel for self-evaluation and artistic exploration.

In the Meantime — Track List

  1. Maybe It’s You
  2. The Waiting Room
  3. Yours or Mine
  4. Space
  5. For What It’s Worth
  6. In the Meantime

Bre Kennedy Shines With Empowering New Single And Video “Baby Blue”

0

Bre Kennedy has released her newest single, “Baby Blue,” a track that channels unfiltered emotion into an upbeat, empowering pop experience. Marking the start of a fresh chapter in her artistry, “Baby Blue” arrives with a gorgeous new video celebrating vulnerability, honesty, and radical self-expression.

The song—co-written with Robyn Dell’Unto and Field Guide—reframes sadness as a color to be embraced, not hidden. “If I’m going to be blue, then I’m gonna be blue, baby blue,” says Bre. “It’s about the radical act of allowing ourselves to feel sadness and anger, especially in a world that constantly seems to break our hearts.”

Accompanied by a visually stunning music video, Bre invites viewers into a world of emotional freedom and feminine energy. The video’s powerful imagery mirrors the song’s message of bold softness and joyful resistance.

“Baby Blue” reflects the evolution of an artist unafraid to speak her truth—and dares others to do the same.

Joni Mitchell Releases Expansive ‘Joni’s Jazz’ Collection Spanning Five Decades

0

Joni Mitchell releases Joni’s Jazz, a passion project years in the making. This career-spanning collection features recordings chosen by Mitchell that reflect jazz’s profound influence on her music.

The release is available now as an 8LP vinyl box set, a 4CD edition, and across all digital and streaming platforms. Both the vinyl and CD versions include liner notes with rare and previously unseen photos and original artwork by Mitchell. Order HERE

An exclusive Joni Mitchell Archives fine-art print is available as a gift-with-purchase exclusive from jonimitchell.com

Spanning 61 tracks, Joni’s Jazz includes studio recordings, live performances, rare alternate takes and previously unreleased demos, and material drawn from multiple decades and record labels. Listen to today’s release day focus track, “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat (Live at the Santa Barbara County Bowl, September 9, 1979)” HERE.

The set features contributions from some of Mitchell’s most important collaborators in jazz, among them Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Hancock, and Charles Mingus. Mitchell, who calls Shorter her favorite collaborator, dedicates the collection to him following his passing in 2023. “It was a joy to play with him,” she writes. “He will be missed, but he will remain alive for me in this music.”

Covering nearly every era of her recording career, the collection includes selections from Songs To A Seagull, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Hejira, Mingus, Turbulent Indigo, Both Sides Now (a 2001 GRAMMY® Award winner), and more. It also features her guest appearances on projects like Hancock’s GRAMMY® Award-winning album, River: The Joni Letters.

Across the collection, the music follows Mitchell’s artistic growth — from the rhythmic layering of “Harry’s House / Centerpiece” to the bold experimentation of “The Jungle Line,” the narrative scale of “Paprika Plains,” and the airy, improvised feel of “A Chair In The Sky.”

It draws from more than five decades of Mitchell’s recordings, going back to 1968 for “Marcie,” from Song To A Seagull. The most recent is her performance of “Summertime,” recorded live at the 2023 Newport Folk Festival. It marked Mitchell’s first full-length concert in over two decades — a powerful return that resonated around the world.

As a self-portrait in sound, Joni’s Jazz captures an artist in conversation with jazz over a lifetime — never imitating, always inventing. Last year, in the liner notes for Joni Mitchell Archives – Vol. 4, she joked, “People ask me my favorite of my albums, it’s going to be Joni’s Jazz.” Now it is.
