Big Blues Bender Returns To Las Vegas With Expanded 2026 Lineup And Immersive Experience

0

Big Blues Bender returns to Las Vegas from September 10 to 13, 2026, once again taking over the Westgate Las Vegas for four days of nonstop blues. The festival blends performance spaces and living spaces into one shared environment, where late-night sets unfold in ballrooms, jams spill into unexpected corners, and artists and fans move through the same halls. Designed as an all-in experience, packages include on-site lodging and full access to performances, creating a communal atmosphere that sets the event apart from traditional festivals.

The newly announced lineup brings together cornerstone figures and contemporary voices across the blues spectrum. Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal headline a roster that also includes Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Booker T. Jones, Tab Benoit, Ruthie Foster, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, alongside a deep supporting cast of veterans, collaborators, and emerging artists. From traditional roots and Southern soul to modern electric blues, gospel-inflected performances, and late-night brass-driven jams, Big Blues Bender continues to present the blues as a shared, living tradition rather than a segmented genre.

Electronic Pop Artist googly eyes Announces EP ‘paint me like one of your fav american girls’

0

googly eyes has announced a new EP titled ‘paint me like one of your fav american girls’, set for release on March 13 via Pretty Swede, Neon Gold, and Virgin. Alongside the announcement, she shares the new single “Bruises on the Peach” with an accompanying video. The track was written with Tove Lo and Flume and coproduced with Flume, marking another chapter in an ongoing creative collaboration that began through an artist development open call in 2023.

Speaking about the song, googly eyes says, “Bruises on the Peach is about vulnerability. To be known and loved deeply means sharing all your fears, insecurities, and pain points with someone. It’s a fragile ecosystem – you’re giving someone the blueprint to either wound you beyond repair or soothe your deepest hurts.” The single follows earlier EP tracks “I Don’t Go Out” and “Made Of”, both released ahead of the full project.

The announcement arrives after a strong end to 2025, with googly eyes’ track “Jesus and John Wayne”, performed with Joy Oladokun and August Ponthier, landing on NPR’s 125 songs of 2025 list. To date, her work has been fully written, recorded, and produced independently, with releases through Pretty Swede Records, the label founded by Tove Lo in 2022 in collaboration with Neon Gold.

10 Early 2000s Music Videos That Will Make You Miss MTV

There was a brief, magical era when music videos felt like full-on events. You waited for premieres, argued over rankings, and sprinted to the TV when something new dropped. The early 2000s delivered bold visuals, big ideas, and unforgettable moments that still feel fun to revisit.

These videos leaned hard into style, humor, and spectacle. Some were cinematic, some were chaotic, and some were brilliant because they kept things simple. Here are 10 early 2000s music videos that remain endlessly watchable.

Fatboy Slim – “Weapon of Choice”
Christopher Walken dancing solo through an empty hotel turned this into instant pop culture history. It’s confident, strange, and completely committed to the bit.

Britney Spears – “Toxic”
Spy fantasies, flight attendants, diamonds, and latex outfits all collide here. Every scene change feels deliberate, stylish, and unapologetically over the top.

Linkin Park – “Breaking the Habit”
Animated visuals gave this video a striking emotional distance that set it apart from its peers. The art style still feels intentional and memorable.

Blink-182 – “First Date”
Airport disco chaos with the band fully leaning into absurdity. It captures early-2000s humor perfectly without trying to be clever about it.

Eminem – “Stan”
A fully realized narrative that plays out like a short film. The pacing, performances, and storytelling made this one impossible to forget.

OK Go – “Here It Goes Again”
Eight treadmills and one continuous shot. The concept is simple, precise, and endlessly rewatchable for a reason.

The White Stripes – “The Hardest Button to Button”
Minimalism done right. Repeating drum kits and clean visuals turn restraint into something visually hypnotic.

Gorillaz – “Feel Good Inc.”
Animated worlds, surreal imagery, and a visual identity that felt fully formed. The floating island remains iconic.

Outkast – “Hey Ya!”
Four Andre 3000s performing as rival bands made this feel like a celebration disguised as a pop video. It’s joyful, clever, and endlessly energetic.

The Killers – “Mr. Brightside”
Shot like a dramatic love triangle from another era, the theatrical flair gives it a timeless, slightly unhinged charm.

Icelandic rock band KALEO have announced the 10 year anniversary deluxe edition of their debut album ‘A/B’, due out June 10 via Rhino Records. The double vinyl release spotlights iconic live performances plus rare studio recordings. To celebrate, the band will embark on an extensive North American “Way Down We Go Tour” this summer with special guests DAWES, Darren Kiely, and 4x GRAMMY nominee Elle King at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

“This year’s tour will be even more special considering we’re commemorating ten years since the release of A/B,” said KALEO frontman JJ Julius Son. “We are truly honored that the music still means so much to so many people and we’re planning an entirely new show we think our fans are going to love.” The debut album spawned hits like “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and the global sensation “Way Down We Go,” which landed at number one on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart with nearly 4 billion streams and over 3 million TikToks worldwide.

The band will incorporate hits from their two follow-up albums, ‘Surface Sounds’ and 2025’s critically acclaimed ‘MIXED EMOTIONS’, into the setlist. Notable stops include Colorado’s Red Rocks, NYC’s Pier 17, and Nashville’s Pinnacle. Emerging from Mosfellsbær, a small town in the suburbs of Reykjavik, Iceland, KALEO formed as childhood friends in 2012.
