Freaks of Nature festival announces the second phase of artists for its seventh episode, Freakyard. Taking place across Thursday and Friday, 5th–6th and 12th–13th February 2026, in Riyadh, Freaks of Nature will welcome international headliners, including Eric Prydz, Hot Since 82, Kasablanca, Martin Garrix, and Mathame to Saudi Arabia’s most dynamic, immersive, and memorable boutique music and arts festival experience.

This year’s Freakyard edition lineup features 100+ artists. Famed for its diverse programming, sense of freedom, and vibrancy, Freakyard will attract more than 30,000 visitors per day across two weekends this February at the MDLBEAST Soundstorm site in Banban. The festival will transform the site into an industrial yet visually striking and fully immersive universe for attendees to explore, spanning across four nights, two weekends, and three uniquely designed stages.

As a highlight in the international clubbing calendar, the Mainstage will exhibit captivating artistic design paired with the festival’s curation of euphoric anthems, enhanced by distinctive special effects that will create an exhilarating atmosphere throughout the weekends. In parallel, the Underground stage will deliver a fully immersive holographic journey, featuring the latest in 3D mapping technology to transform the space in harmony with pulsating Techno beats, offering a cutting-edge visual and sonic experience. Adding to the festival’s diversity, the House of Freaks stage functions as an indoor venue, embracing flamboyant energy and confetti-fuelled moments, keeping crowds moving late into the night to the hottest House selections.

Accompanying the range of music across stages, the festival will feature an entertainment village showcasing the Freak Bazar, dedicated chill zones, alongside food and beverage offerings, gaming experiences, and an array of interactive activations, including local brands, designers, and creators, providing a vibrant social space for guests to explore throughout the festival’s programming.

Freakyard actively invites festival-goers to embrace a sense of freedom, leaving behind work, stress, and the pressures of daily life. It celebrates the “Freak”, an unapologetically authentic, fun-seeking individual, encouraging attendees to reconnect, lose themselves in the music and atmosphere, and create unforgettable memories that endure long after the night ends. FLESH PLANET Announce Debut EP ‘// first flesh’ And Share “Evelyn”

Yorkshire newcomers FLESH PLANET have announced their debut EP, ‘// first flesh’, set for release on March 27, 2026. The EP is introduced by debut single “Evelyn,” out now alongside an official video filmed at Sandstone Studios by Witch of The East and Amy Lee. The track serves as the band’s first public statement, marking the arrival of a new project built from long-standing creative relationships.

“We wanted ‘Evelyn’ to be a strong introduction to Flesh Planet,” the band said. “It captures a lot of what we’re doing, the melodic side, the heavier moments and how those elements collide.” The song reflects a band comfortable letting texture and weight coexist, with its structure revealing a clear sense of intention rather than excess. It reads as a direct, uncluttered snapshot of a group defining its sound in real time.

FLESH PLANET features former Allusinlove members Damian Hughes, Drey Pavlovic, Jemal Beau Malki, and Connor Fisher-Atack. The quartet are currently completing the EP at Chairworks in Castleford, a residential studio associated with artists including The Reytons, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Heaton, and Richard Hawley. The project blends grunge, shoegaze, industrial, and electronic influences into a focused new direction shaped by the members’ individual paths since regrouping.

The band will support ‘// first flesh’ with their first national UK tour in January and February 2026, opening for Vukovi and Saint Agnes, alongside a standalone date supporting 96 Bitter Beings in Milton Keynes. The tour places the band in front of audiences across the UK at an early stage, positioning the EP within a live context from the outset.

Parallel Society has revealed the first participants and artists for its 2026 edition in Lisbon, Portugal. The two-day event will take place on 6th and 7th March in Lisbon’s Marvila neighbourhood, a former industrial area now renowned for its vibrant cultural environment. The event brings together hacktivism, practical technology, and cultural pioneers, activating local and international civic tech experts, researchers, academics, activists, and international artists, including Apparat, Gilles Peterson, Clark, Moses Boyd, Calibre and Kode9, to explore and reimagine society for the digital age.

The unique gathering is an experiment in social structure design aimed at laying the groundwork for a more prosperous and just future for all. It is the culmination of the work of Logos, a social and technological movement to revive civil society and defend freedoms through technology. Logos is developing a complete, decentralised technology stack including messaging, storage, and blockchain to empower community self-determination and self-governance in parallel to inefficient and often corrupt state institutions.

Collectively and organically curated, Parallel Society is run as a not-for-profit event by an emergent coalition of international and local allied groups, including Logos, Tor Project, MoneroKon, PsyDAO, Charter Cities Institute, Zanzalu, ZuGramma, Zano, Shutter Network, dEdu, The Block, Delta Y, LayerX, EthRome, Urbe.eth, Kleros, and Funding the Commons.

Day 1, 6th March, is an “[un]conference” focused on nurturing and expanding the technologies, tooling, and cultures that are central to Logos’ mission. Co-organised by the coalition, it will feature a series of talks, discussion circles, protocol labs, hackspaces, workshops, co-design sprints, and hands-on experimental sessions distributed across thematic zones, including the Decentralisation, Privacy, FOSS, Culture and Community Zones. Broadly, the Day 1 programme focuses on privacy and decentralisation, community autonomy, open source culture and infrastructure, and tooling and network stewardship. The programme comprises workshops, talks, hackspaces, and cultural labs that explore community autonomy, privacy, decentralisation, and open source culture and infrastructure.

Jarrad Hope of Logos, the organisation initiating the event, commented on Parallel Society’s unique approach:

“Parallel Society connects the people designing new civic systems, technologists, researchers, activists, building practical alternatives to centralised institutions. Day 1 is structured as a collaborative lab: workshops, governance prototypes, research sessions, and cultural experiments. The aim is simple: build and test tools that strengthen autonomy, privacy, and community.”

Following the [un]conference, Day 2, 7th March, transforms the gathering into a community-focused cultural celebration, where groundbreaking international artists share stages with Portugal’s underground talent. The music programme defies genres and is already taking shape, spanning the UK jazz revolution with Moses Boyd, experimental bass culture with Kode9 and Calibre, avant electronic with Apparat, and cultural ambassadors including Gilles Peterson, with many more acts still to be announced. Confirmed Portuguese acts include Maria Amor and Shcuro of Disco Paraíso, Chima Isaaro, Afrojamslx performing live, Nelson Makossa, and Collective Unconscious presenting an audiovisual performance. A culture-first counterpoint to the corporate consolidation sweeping the global festival landscape, the event is independent, led by the community, and not for profit. With more than 60% of the lineup sourced from Lisbon’s active and diverse homegrown talent pool, it actively supports the city’s underground music scenes.

Louisa Haining, Curation Director, commented on Parallel Society’s approach:

Parallel Society is built as a commons: an open space where underground sound, grassroots creativity, and new cultural and technological imaginaries can thrive. ​From Lisbon’s grassroots communities to international heavyweights, Parallel Society builds bridges between Portugal’s sonic innovators and global pioneers. It reflects the DIY energy that built underground scenes, from pirate radio to post club collectives.

Co-curated with a coalition of Lisbon-based cultural organisations, Parallel Society draws on their communities and perspectives to form a truly collective programme. This cultural coalition includes Fábrica Moderna, Rare Effect, and Manja, with more joining.

Call to contribute. Parallel Society is an experiment in co-creation and cooperation. The entire event is curated collectively by a coalition of aligned projects spanning technology, culture, and community. Those wishing to be involved can propose sessions or other elements of the programming through an open call, via Parallel Society’s website. Coalition members will select which proposals will make up the programme according to their merit and alignment, not how much they contribute financially.

Phil Collins Shares Health Update In BBC Conversation Special

Phil Collins has shared a candid health update in a new interview with Zoe Ball for BBC Two as part of the five-part series Phil Collins Eras In Conversation. Speaking openly, Collins discussed a series of medical challenges that followed Genesis’ final tour, including multiple knee surgeries and kidney issues connected to alcohol use.

“It’s an ongoing thing,” Collins said. “I’ve had challenges with my knee. I had everything that could go wrong with me did go wrong with me.” He explained that he underwent five knee operations and now walks with assistance, adding that he has a live-in nurse to help manage medication and daily care. Collins also shared that complications intensified during hospital stays, where several health issues surfaced at once.

Collins spoke directly about his relationship with alcohol and its impact on his health, saying, “I’d probably been drinking too much, and so my kidneys were messed up.” He noted that he recently marked two years of sobriety, describing a period where recovery required extended time in hospital. The remarks provide clear context for his decision to step away from touring and recording in recent years.

Although Collins has previously said he had little inclination to return to the studio, he left the door slightly open when pressed during the interview. “I’ve got some things that are half formed or were never finished,” he said. Even in reflection rather than performance, Collins’ voice still carries the weight of a songwriter whose instincts helped define modern pop and rock songwriting for decades.

Biohazard Announce Spring 2026 Tour With Sepultura Exodus And Tribal Gaze

Hardcore legends Biohazard have announced a major spring 2026 North American tour with Sepultura, Exodus, and Tribal Gaze. The tour kicks off April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey, and runs through May 29 in Los Angeles, bringing four heavy music mainstays together for a month-long run across the continent. Presales begin January 21, with general on-sale set for January 23 at 10 am local time.

“Man, hitting the road with Sepultura and Exodus alongside my brothers in Biohazard is gonna be pure chaos and adrenaline,” says guitarist and vocalist Billy Graziadei. “Thrashin’ stages, crushin’ crowds, and livin’ the metal dream we’ve all bled for. Can’t wait to play the new songs from ‘Divided We Fall’ and unleash this beast.” The tour follows the release of Biohazard’s long-awaited new album, ‘Divided We Fall’, out now via BLKIIBLK Records and marking the band’s first studio release in over a decade.

Reuniting the band’s original lineup, ‘Divided We Fall’ was produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt Hyde and recorded at Shorefire Recording Studios in New Jersey and The Hydeaway in California. The album documents a band fully locked in, pairing Biohazard’s trademark blend of hardcore, metal, and groove with focused songwriting that sounds direct, physical, and purpose-built for the stage.

Sevendust Announce ‘One’ And Detail New Album And Spring Tour

Grammy Award-nominated metal band Sevendust have announced their 15th studio album, ‘One’, arriving May 1 via Napalm Records. The release comes as the band continue touring across Europe opening for Alter Bridge. The album features the current Sevendust lineup of Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby, and Morgan Rose, and marks the group’s next chapter nearly three decades into their career.

‘One’ spans ten tracks, opening with the title song “One” and closing with “Misdirection.” Additional tracks include “Is This The Real You,” “We Won,” “Threshold,” and “Blood Price.” The record presents Sevendust’s familiar blend of heaviness, melody, and emotional weight, with songwriting that reflects the band’s continued commitment to evolution without abandoning its core identity. It’s a confident, focused album that reinforces why the band’s catalog continues to matter within modern metal.

The album will be released in multiple formats, including a CD digisleeve with a 12-page booklet and several vinyl variants. These include gatefold translucent vinyl, gatefold splattered cristallo red vinyl, gatefold cristallo vinyl, marbled translucent red vinyl, splattered black smoke and black vinyl, and split black and red vinyl, with select editions available exclusively through the band’s website in limited quantities.

In support of the album, Sevendust will launch a U.S. headline tour beginning April 16 in Carterville, Illinois, and running through May 20 in Knoxville, Tennessee, with support from Atreyu, Fire From The Gods, and American Adrenaline. The band will also open for Alter Bridge on April 26 in Atlanta and May 21 in Nashville, and appear at major festivals including Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple.

The 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year benefit gala will honor Mariah Carey with an all-star lineup celebrating her career and philanthropic impact. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has announced a new audiophile reissue of Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album, arriving January 23 as an UltraDisc One-Step 180g 45RPM 2LP box set and a numbered Hybrid SACD. The album marked the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, a lineup shift that permanently reshaped the band’s sound and trajectory. Both formats are sourced from the original analog master tapes and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing in California.

Limited to 7,500 numbered copies, the UltraDisc One-Step vinyl edition follows MoFi’s proprietary mastering chain from analog tape to DSD 256 and back to analog for lacquer cutting. The release features premium foil-stamped jackets, faithful original artwork, and ultra-quiet surfaces. The Hybrid SACD, also sourced from the original masters, comes housed in mini-LP-style gatefold packaging. Together, the formats present the album with a level of detail and separation that highlights the interplay between the band’s five members.

The album documents the chemistry between Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Buckingham, and Nicks, balancing melodic rock with folk-leaning textures. Songs like “Rhiannon” and “Landslide” sit alongside Christine McVie’s “Over My Head” and “Say You Love Me,” while “World Turning” captures the group’s collaborative dynamic. Heard this way, the record’s songwriting and arrangements feel remarkably self-assured, a clear statement of a band arriving fully formed.
