Pacific Northwest Metal Project OLD MOON Share New Single “A Rest To My Name”

0

Birthed in the wet ground and grey skies of the Pacific Northwest, OLD MOON emerge with a singular vision rooted in grief, loss, and emotional reckoning. Today, the band unveil “A Rest To My Name”, the second single and lyric video from their forthcoming debut album ‘Home To Nowhere’, out May 8.

Darker, doomier, and more ominous in tone, “A Rest To My Name” expands OLD MOON’s sonic language. Orchestral passages swell beneath breath-held guitar melodies, weaving melodic death metal and post black metal into a tense, resonant atmosphere. The track draws strong responses for its compositional depth and the maturity of its emotional pacing, offering a striking contrast to the more direct intensity of earlier single “Obsidian”.

“‘A Rest To My Name’ is a song with two meanings,” explains founder Michael Priest. “More so with the ‘final death,’ the last time someone’s name is spoken. It’s written from the perspective of someone already gone, moving from never wanting to be forgotten to acceptance, ending with ‘forget my name and let me rest.’” The song, alongside “Obsidian”, appears on ‘Home To Nowhere’, available on CD, limited smoke-colored vinyl, and digital via M-Theory Audio.

Melanie C Turns “Sweat” Club-Ready With Hypnotic Guz Remix

0

Following the euphoric release of “Sweat”, the title track from her forthcoming ninth studio album ‘Sweat’, Melanie C returns with a hypnotic deep house rework from Guz. The remix reshapes the electro-house anthem into a driving, late-night club cut, sharpening its focus on groove, momentum, and physical release.

Guz brings his signature touch to “Sweat (Guz Remix)”, layering heavyweight basslines, crisp percussion, and a stripped-back intensity that nods to underground house culture and peak-time festival energy. The remix draws enthusiastic responses for its darker pulse, transforming the original workout-rave crossover into something sleek, immersive, and built for packed dance floors.

“I’ve loved watching ‘Sweat’ take on a life of its own,” says Melanie C. “This remix amplifies everything the song stands for, movement, confidence and collective energy, and hearing it in a club context is incredibly exciting.” The remix leads off Melanie’s Music That Moves Me playlist on Apple Music as part of the platform’s January fitness activation.

Originally released as the lead single from ‘Sweat’, due May 1, “Sweat” has already surpassed 2.5 million global streams. Sampling Diana Ross’ “Work That Body”, the track channels vintage fitness-video euphoria while celebrating freedom and collective joy. The remix arrives during a high-profile run that includes appearances at ABC Sydney New Year’s Eve, New York’s Jingle Ball, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and Good Morning America, alongside a major UK headline date at O2 Academy Brixton on October 23.

First released in 1986, the album stands as a foundational statement that helped reshape punk, ska, funk, and alternative music, setting the tone for a career defined by fearless genre-blending and social urgency.

The ‘In Your Face’ 40th Anniversary Reissue arrives as a limited-edition two-disc vinyl set, with pre-orders for black and Tiger’s Eye variants beginning January 9 through the band’s webstore. Limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, each pressing includes special collector inserts, with additional tour and independent retail editions to be announced.

German Rock Metal Trio The Hirsch Effekt Share New Single “Die Brücke”

0

German rock metal trio The Hirsch Effekt return with the new single “Die Brücke”, the third track unveiled from their upcoming studio album ‘Der Brauch’, out January 30 via Long Branch Records. The song arrives alongside a new video and offers a focused, human-scale moment within the band’s ever-expansive sound world.

“‘Die Brücke’ takes on a less heavy theme,” says singer Nils Wittrock. “It’s more of an everyday scene. Two people meet at home after a long day and ask each other how it went. One goes to bed, the other keeps working. Amidst the stress, the protagonist tries to remain a safe harbor.” The track draws an enthusiastic response for its emotional clarity and restrained intensity, showing how weight can live in small, familiar moments.

‘Der Brauch’ continues The Hirsch Effekt’s evolution beyond fixed genre lines. Following ideas first explored on ‘Holon: Anamnesis’, the album moves fluidly between acoustic intimacy and progressive metal force, with cello, classical guitar, and blast beats coexisting naturally. Fans voted ‘Holon: Anamnesis’ among the greatest German-language albums of all time in VISIONS Magazine, and ‘Der Brauch’ carries that adventurous spirit forward with confidence and identity intact.

Elbow Bring Audio Vertigo Era To Joyful WFUV FUV Live Session

Elbow return to WFUV for a radiant FUV Live session that captures the warmth, humor, and musical connection that define the band. The performance is also available via the “FUV Live Sessions” podcast, extending WFUV’s long-running tradition of intimate live sessions and interviews into a new weekly format with episodes dropping every Monday.

The session arrives alongside Elbow’s renewed North American presence, following their autumn 2025 tour, their first visit since 2017. That run followed the release of ‘Audio Vertigo’ and the 2025 EP ‘Audio Vertigo Echo’, a period documented with joy and gratitude across the band’s social channels and reflected clearly in their relaxed, confident performances.

‘Audio Vertigo’ stands as a groove-forward, invigorating record and a creative reset for Guy Garvey, Craig Potter, Mark Potter, Pete Turner, and Alex Reeves. The album draws enthusiastic responses for its rhythmic energy and emotional clarity, sitting comfortably alongside the band’s expansive catalog while opening a fresh chapter.

For this FUV Live session, Elbow perform a beautifully balanced trio of songs spanning eras: “Her to the Earth,” “The Seldom Seen Kid,” and “Magnificent (She Says).” Joined by Cat Parker and Fiona Brice on strings, and Sarah Field and Carol Jarvis on brass, the nine-piece lineup fills the studio with depth, color, and cohesion.

During the interview, Garvey reflects on the late Bryan Glancy, whose spirit continues to echo through Elbow’s music, particularly in “The Seldom Seen Kid.” The conversation also touches on the making of ‘Flying Dream 1’ and the band’s affection for playing intimate U.S. venues, with Garvey describing New York crowds as powered by goodwill and cooperation, a feeling that sings back from the audience.

SeaVerse Launches World’s First AI Native Platform, “All in AI Native” Leads the Forward-Looking Revolution in AI Creation

0

On January 10, 2026, SeaVerse announced the global launch of the world’s first AI-native creation and deployment platform. SeaVerse integrates large language models, image generation, video generation, and AI agents, enabling users to package any creative idea into a product—demo, application, or web page—with just a single prompt. SeaVerse addresses the challenge of fragmented AI tools by emphasizing “All in AI Native,” representing a forward-looking revolution for AI creators and teams.

SeaVerse’s innovation lies in its departure from traditional workflows using separate tools. Instead, it builds an end-to-end AI-native loop—from generation to preview, publishing to iteration—all within the same workspace. Users start with natural language, view results directly, and deploy online without additional setup.

The platform supports collaborative development. After publishing, developers can invite collaborators to experience, provide feedback, and contribute improvements within the same workflow and product instance, enabling teams to move from prototypes to production-ready outcomes in one environment.

“All in AI Native”

  • Generate everything: Create multimodal assets (images, videos, music, games) from a single prompt. Input “a futuristic 3D racing game” to simultaneously generate scenes, music, code, and videos—all in one workspace.
  • Build the product for you: Combine AI-generated outputs into runnable products. Transform game scenes, models, code, and sounds into a complete, playable game—not just isolated assets.
  • One-Click Publish: Publish with one click—no servers, domains, or scripts needed. Games auto-deploy to the cloud with shareable links, playable directly in browsers.

Collaborative Iteration: Team members comment, provide feedback, and improve directly on the platform. All modifications occur in the same product instance with automatic version syncing.

“Our goal is to collapse the distance between an idea and a real product,” said SeaVerse’s CEO. “SeaVerse’s ‘All in AI Native’ capabilities help creators deliver faster and iterate more conveniently.” This enables the vision of “one person as a team.”

SeaVerse is building the world’s first AI-native creation and deployment platform, designed to help anyone move from idea to deployable product in one place. As the name suggests: create a universe from a single idea.
