0

R&B artist Jernade shares his heartfelt new single “Worst Behaviour”, available now on all major streaming platforms. Alongside the track out via Create Music Group, the official music video has been released on YouTube, bringing the emotion of the song to life through striking visuals and intimate storytelling.

Originally performed by Kwn and Kehlani, “Worst Behaviour” resonates with Jernade on a personal level. His rendition blends soulful melodies with an authentic delivery that highlights his connection to the track. “I’ve been a fan of KWN for a while, so when I first heard ‘Worst Behaviour,’ I was instantly drawn to it. The melodies really stuck with me—it’s honestly the kind of song I wish I wrote. We’re from the same town, so doing a cover and making a video felt like a personal way to show love and appreciation for a track that inspired me.”

The single continues Jernade’s #practicehours series, showcasing his passion for reimagining songs that inspire him, while building on the momentum of his releases such as “Right Here” and performing a headline show at SXSW London.

With a career that bridges music, fashion, and entrepreneurship, Jernade continues to prove himself as a multifaceted artist, delivering songs that connect deeply with his audience while carving his own path in the music industry and beyond.

Hayley Williams Releases Bold New Album ‘Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party’ With Fan-Curated Inspiration

0

Hayley Williams has officially released her new album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party out now, everywhere. Earlier this month, she dropped a surprise collection of 17 unsequenced singles. Fans took to social media, working up their own tracklistings and even creating hayleysingles.com, where thousands of fans were able to work up and share their preferred order just as Williams had hoped.

The final album is inspired by some of these fans’ playlists and includes one never-before-heard song, “Parachute,” which was just named Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show for August 28th.

Fans can also pre-order the physical album today, out on November 7th. Black and “Zissou Clear-Wave” vinyl are available on Hayley’s webstore here and fans can find six additional vinyl colors (Highlighter Yellow, Marble Yellow, Orange Juice Splash, Crystal Clear, Grayscale Metallic Silver and Poolwater Wave) available at various retailers, including “Ego Gold Marble” vinyl available only at retailers in her home state of Tennessee. An extremely limited quantity of CD-R’s are available now for immediate shipping on her website, featuring her handwriting and evoking a mixtape from the early 2000’s. Only 1,500 are available on a first come first serve basis.

Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party was produced entirely by Daniel James. Williams wrote, played and recorded a variety of instruments across each of the 18 songs, with cross-project contributions from long-time collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, and contributions from Jim-E Stack on “True Believer,” which just earned Williams her first solo Billboard Alternative Sales #1. After 20+ years spent fulfilling their contract for Atlantic Records – a contract Williams signed as a mere teenager – Paramore announced in December of 2023 that they were finally an independent band. This surprise collection is self-released by Hayley Williams on her new venture Post Atlantic, distributed via Secretly Distribution.

In the previous two weeks, Williams has released music videos for the album’s title track, directed by Zachary Gray, and the single “Glum,” directed by her Paramore bandmate Zac Farro and AJ Gibboney. Watch both here: “Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party” and “Glum.”

DJ Khaled Drops First New Music in 3 Years With “You Remind Me” and “Brother,” Previews Upcoming Album ‘Aalam of God’

0

Global megastar DJ Khaled returns with his first new music in three years. He unveils two singles, namely “You Remind Me” featuring Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Rorystonelove, & Kaylan Arnold, and “Brother” featuring Post Malone & YoungBoy Never Broke Again via We The Best/Republic Records.

These songs only set the stage for the impending arrival of his 14th studio album, Aalam of God, coming soon. It marks his first new full-length since 2022’s epic, God Did, which notched his fourth No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 and went gold.

Speaking to his versatility once again, “You Remind Me” pops off as the perfect conclusion to summer, uniting a collective of dancehall powerhouses on one track. Only Khaled could rally Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Mavado, Bounty Killer, RoryStoneLove, and Kaylan Arnold like this around an upbeat groove laced with island-ready drums and sunny keys. It culminates in an endlessly chantable sun-kissed refrain. The accompanying visual shines just as brightly as this elite cohort takes over the beach for the ultimate party.

“Brother” represents the other side of Khaled’s sonic spectrum altogether. YoungBoy pulls up with a magnetically melodic verse as Post delivers the hook you can’t shake.

DJ Khaled also presented the Icon Award alongside Swizz Beatz to Bounty Killer at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, which will air on September 12th on BET at 8 pm EST.

Dion Announces New Album ‘The Rock ’n’ Roll Philosopher’ With Collaborations From Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, and More

0

August 29 – Dion has set the release of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher, an album companion to his book, co-authored with Adam Jablin, of the same title for October 24 through KTBA Records both digitally and on CD. It’s the label, founded by Joe Bonamassa and Roy Weisman that has released his recent string of much lauded collaborative albums including Blues With Friends (2020), Stomping Ground (2021) and last year’s Girl Friends. The new album is preceded by today’s release through all streaming services of “I’m Your Gangster of Love,” a brand-new recording and one of six songs on the album written by Dion and Mike Aquilina.. Also debuting today is a video for the song that recalls the gangland-themed movies of the ‘30s and ‘40s.

The new album is a meticulously curated combination of newly written and recorded songs, reimagined versions of several Dion classics as well as a representation of newer material recorded over the last decade. Like the book, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher album is a reflection of Dion’s life’s journey. In the album notes, he explains, “I pulled together some of the songs I discussed in the book and some of them I changed.” He describes the book as “a wide-ranging memoir in which I talk about music, addiction, recovery, friendships, God, creativity, relationships and all the important things in life from which I’ve learned important lessons.”

Among the album’s tracks are collaborations with Sonny Landreth, Joe Bonamassa, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton, the latter of whom also contributing a 600-word forward to the album in which he calls Dion “one of a kind, unparalleled in his achievement and stature. He is a genius singer, writer, musician and healer.” He also wrote, “He is the perfect example of how you can do what you love to do and still be available to the lives of others.” Clapton, long an admirer of Dion, also contributed the prologue to the book version of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher and is heard on “If You Wanna Rock and Roll,” a song written by Dion that’s part of the new album.

Among the album’s highlights are “New York Minute,” one of the Dion-Acquilina co-writes that debuted earlier this year as well as a new version of “New York Is My Home,” produced by Jimmy Vivino. It’s one of two selections on the album in which the late Scott Kempner, co-founder of punk rock’s Dictators and Del-Lords, had a hand. Kempner was cowriter of “In A Heartbeat of Time.” There’s an updated live recording on The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher that documents the time in the mid-90s when Dion fronted Little Kings, the hard rocking band that had been put together by Kempner. The version of “King of the New York Streets” was, likewise, originally recorded with Little Kings at that same Mercury Lounge gig in April of 1996 and the subject of recent audio enhancement.

There’s also “Serenade/Come To the Cross, an adaptation of the Tom Waits song “San Diego Serenade,” now melded with one of Dion’s songs of faith. Dion classics, sourced from the 2003 New Masters collection, include “Ruby Baby,” “Runaround Sue” and “The Wanderer,” each a career touchstone for Dion as was the later “Abraham, Martin and John.” The version included in The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher is a new recording about which Dion writes, “I decided to record an intimate version of the song. Over the last fifty-seven years I’ve recorded dozens of versions of that song with everybody from Phil Spector and Cher to Aaron Neville and Bob Dylan. This one is now my favorite.”

The album also includes comprehensive album notes by music historian, journalist and longtime Dion intimate Gene Sculatti that are based on a recent conversation. He told Sculatti that the songs heard on The Rock ’N’ Roll Philosopher are, in essence, “an ideal set list.. the songs that I’d most like to play, all together in the perfect concert.”

  1. I’m Your Gangster of Love*

Paul McCartney’s Post-Beatles Journey in Morgan Neville’s ‘Man on the Run’ Documentary Picked Up By Amazon MGM Studios

0

Amazon MGM Studios has acquired Man on the Run, an intimate feature documentary exploring Paul McCartney’s creative rebirth after The Beatles’ breakup, directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville.

The documentary, which will premiere this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival, is the centerpiece of a comprehensive new partnership among Paul McCartney, Universal Music Group, and Amazon that will unfold over the next year, including the release of exclusive music and merchandise drops for fans from Amazon Music, and one-of-a-kind commentary from McCartney himself. The partnership coincides with the release of his book Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, which will be available on Amazon and Audible November 4th, and McCartney’s Got Back tour dates across North America this fall.

Man on the Run, which is produced by Tremolo, in association with MPL and Polygram Entertainment, will be released in select theaters and subsequently available on Prime Video February 25th in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Producers include Morgan Neville, Chloe Simmons, and Meghan Walsh for Tremolo; Scott Rodger and Ben Chappell for MPL; and Michele Anthony and David Blackman for Polygram Entertainment. Executive producers include Caitrin Rogers and Paul McCartney.

Man on the Run takes viewers on an intimate journey through Paul McCartney’s extraordinary life following the breakup of The Beatles and the formation of Wings with his wife, Linda. From Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville, the film chronicles the arc of McCartney’s solo career as he faces down a myriad of challenges while creating new music to define a new decade. Through unprecedented access to previously unseen footage and rare archival materials, the documentary captures Paul’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.

Born in Liverpool in 1942, Paul McCartney was raised in the city and educated at the Liverpool Institute. Since writing his first song at 14, McCartney has dreamed and dared to be different. Paul’s output has been impossibly prolific and singularly influential crossing many different genres. Paul changed the world forever with The Beatles before going on to continue to push boundaries and make music history with his group Wings and as a solo artist. His most recent solo (and 18th) studio album McCartney III secured the UK Album Chart’s festive Number 1 spot in 2020, furthering his lead as the UK’s most successful album act of all time. In November 2021 Paul released his book, THE LYRICS: 1956 to the Present, recounting his life and art through the prism of 154 songs from all stages of his career – from his earliest boyhood compositions through the legendary decade of The Beatles, to Wings and his solo albums to the present. The LYRICS hit Number One on the New York Times Best Seller list, and was named the 2021 Book Of The Year by Barnes & Noble. An 18-time Grammy winner and recipient of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement and Trustees Awards, McCartney’s list of international accolades reads like no other as well as being recognised for decades of philanthropic activities. Equally renowned for his live performances as he is for his song-writing, Paul set the world record for largest paying concert attendance – 184,000 people – in Rio De Janeiro in 1990. A freeman of The City Of Liverpool and Lead Patron of The Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts, Paul McCartney was appointed Fellow of The Royal College of Music in 1995 by The Prince Of Wales. In 1996 Paul McCartney was knighted by H.M. The Queen for his services to music, and in 2017 he was made a Companion Of Honour in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Morgan Neville is an Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning director and producer best known for his work as a cultural documentarian. His acclaimed film Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, a documentary about Fred Rogers, was released by Focus Features in 2018 and has become one of the best-reviewed and highest-grossing documentaries of all time. His 2013 film, 20 Feet from Stardom, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Music Film. His film, Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain, premiered theatrically in 2021, and was the highest grossing documentary of the year. Other films include the Emmy-winning Best of Enemies, about the debates between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, about the production of Orson Welles’ final film and Keith Richards: Under the Influence, about the rock legend. Recent projects include the multiple Emmy-nominated Steve! (Martin) A Documentary in 2 Pieces for Apple TV+, The Saint of Second Chances for Netflix and Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming with Dave Letterman, a docu-special for Disney +. For TV, Neville directed Shangri-La about music producer Rick Rubin, Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson, Abstract: The Art of Design, Song Exploder, and Ugly Delicious. His latest narrative film, Piece by Piece for Focus Features, released on October 11th, is a captivating motion picture experience that explores the creative genius of Pharrell Williams through the lens of LEGO. Most recently Neville’s documentary series, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, in cooperation with Lorne Michaels, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, streamed exclusively on Peacock in early 2025 and received an Emmy-nomination for Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Series. He also recently executive produced Thank You Very Much, a film about Andy Kaufman and ART FOR EVERYBODY, a documentary on the artist Thomas Kinkade. Neville is the founder and president of Tremolo Productions, through which he executive produced BTS Army: Forever We Are Young, on the titular K-pop phenomenon and their fanbase, and produced Miss Americana, about Taylor Swift, among other high-profile projects.

Ger Carriere Glides Into Retro-Pop Groove With Dreamy New Single “Are You My Type”

0

Ger Carriere has never been shy about shape-shifting. With “Are You My Type,” which premiered on Independent Artist Buzz, she slips into a retro-tinged groove that feels like a late summer breeze, light R&B woven through glossy pop shimmer, equal parts playful and quietly vulnerable. It isn’t nostalgia dressed up, it’s influence reshaped, familiar textures recast into something that lands as distinctly hers.

The song carries itself with ease. Synths glisten, drums tap out a gentle insistence, and Ger floats above it all, letting her voice ride the current. The effect is chill, almost coy, a song that doesn’t have to shout to make its point. Where her last single crackled with glitter, “Are You My Type” leans back, stretches out, and invites you to bask in its atmosphere.

Beneath its surface, though, the track traces the quiet bravery of opening up again. It’s about that moment when walls come down, when you decide to let someone close enough to touch the soft spots you’ve kept hidden. There’s sweetness here, but also risk, and Ger captures both with the kind of subtle confidence that comes from lived experience.

The mood is cinematic in its restraint. Picture the end of August, when evenings carry a slight chill but you’re not ready to admit summer’s fading. That’s the pulse of “Are You My Type,” romantic, a little wistful, but still humming with possibility. It’s music for long drives, neon signs flickering in your periphery, and the hope that maybe, just maybe, someone might surprise you.

With this release, Ger Carriere adds another colour to her palette, showing her ability to transform raw feeling into pop that resonates. “Are You My Type” offers yet another glimpse of her upcoming EP.
