Fever Ray Taps Young Marco for Hypnotic Remix of “I’m Not Done”

0

Fever Ray (aka Karin Dreijer) has shared a spectral, propulsive reimagining of “I’m Not Done” from Amsterdam’s renowned, genre-bending DJ and producer Young Marco.

Young Marco stands as a true sonic innovator, his illustrious achievements rooted in a deep exploration of club music in all its forms. Among them are two studio albums, multiple EPS and compilations, remix collaborations with the likes of Robyn, Marie Davidson, Metronomy and more. He is a champion of burgeoning artists through the groundbreaking electronic label he founded, Safe Trip Records, a member of ambient trio Gaussian Curve and has toured the world, defying expectations with every new creative endeavor.

The remix arrives following the release last month of The Year Of The Radical Romantics, which is out now digitally via Mute. There is additionally an accompanying The Year Of The Radical Romantics publication, 1000 copies exclusively printed, available for pre-order. The publication will not be reprinted once sold-out.

The Year Of The Radical Romantics is a document of the juicy, throbbing missives used to woo crowds from Sydney to Seattle on the globe-trotting There’s No Place I’d Rather Be Tour in support of 2023’s lauded Radical Romantics. The new album consists of live-to-tape studio versions of tracks from Radical Romantics in addition to highlights from 2017’s Plunge and massive new iterations of early classics performed by the musicians who accompanied Dreijer on tour – Minna Koivisto on keyboards; Romarna Campbell on drums; Maryam Nikandish and Helena Gutarra on keytars and vocals.

Radical Romantics’ riotous, world-building videos introduced an unforgettable cast of characters. Accompanying Fever Ray (aka the white-suited Casanova) are wannabe-womanizer Romance, clockwatcher Main, witchy Snusis, and axe-wielding bombshell Demona Lisa. The Year of Radical Romantics offers a culmination of these character’s arcs with a pair of videos directed by longtime longtime Fever Ray creative visionary Martin Falck. The visuals find the misfits navigating group therapy sessions led by therapist Ebba. These sessions are soundtracked by blistering versions of fan favourites from Fever Ray’s beloved self-titled 2009 debut album: “I’m Not Done (Therapy Session” and “Now’s the Only Time I Know (Therapy Session).”

The Year Of The Radical Romantics publication is available to pre-order here. The publication, designed and edited by Fever Ray and Falck, dives deeper into the creative process behind the making of the Radical Romantics universe. The publication showcases initial sketches and the trials and errors that shaped the characters seen on stage, in photographs, and music videos. It also features press photography, cover shoots, editorials, and exclusive behind-the-scenes imagery captured by Fever Ray, the live band, and photographer Nina Andersson.

Falck says of the publication: “Creating the characters for the Radical Romantics era has been a true labor of love. Bringing them to life, watching them experience love, heartbreak, death, and even getting fired, has been an absolute joy. Working on this publication has given us a chance to reflect on our own creative process, and we’re so excited to share it with you.”

Carín León and Kacey Musgraves Unite on Bilingual Duet “Lost in Translation”

0

Carín León and Kacey Musgraves are coming together for their new genre-blending duet “Lost in Translation.” Listen/share HERE.

The song tells a story of desire and connection between two people navigating a language barrier. “This really cute idea came about these people meeting and not being able to speak the same language, but love language and body language is universal and you don’t really need words for that,” says Musgraves.

Musgraves first discovered León through his NPR Tiny Desk performance and was immediately impressed. Born and raised in Texas, she’s long held a deep curiosity and respect for Mexican music and culture. “Growing up singing traditional country and western music,” Musgraves notes, “I’ve always loved exploring the borders of Country and where it blends with other styles like Norteño and some regional Mexican sounds that I heard a lot of in Texas.”

León, widely known for blending traditional regional Mexican music with modern storytelling, was exploring ways to make his sound resonate with U.S. country fans. After listening to some of Musgraves’ music, her genre-fluid style resonated deeply with him. “I relate my career and hers in the way that she approaches other genres,” León says.

Having admired each other’s work from afar, the two met for the first time in Nashville. Musgraves brought along fellow songwriters Amy Allen and longtime collaborator Shane McAnally. To warm up, León and Musgraves sang the famed Juan Gabriel and Rocío Dúrcal duet “Fue un Placer Conocerte.” “It was a big surprise for me that it was one of my favorite songs…and she knew all the words,” León says. “I learned it years ago and it’s just stuck in my mind since then,” Musgraves adds. “I love it. It’s iconic.”

That shared moment sparked the writing of their own duet. Produced by Julian Bunetta, “Lost in Translation” features vibrant horns and rhythmic backing from León’s band, paired with León and Musgraves’ vocals playing off of one another. The result is a nostalgic, genre-blending track that nods to classic Mexican duets while offering something entirely new.

“Even though we speak different languages, we’re all the same, you know?” Musgraves says. León adds, “I’m so blessed to be working with Kacey. All good stuff is going to come.”

Kacey Musgraves, an eight-time Grammy Award winner, released her fifth studio album Deeper Well in March, 2024.  Deeper Well marks her biggest debut sales week landing at #1 on the Top Album Sales and her fifth #1 debut on the Top Country Albums chart.  She launched the Deeper Well World Tour with sold-out shows around the globe and the album’s single, “The Architect,” won the award for Best Country Song at the Grammys.  Beyond music, Musgraves collaborated with Boy Smells on a second candle, designed a sustainable fashion line with Reformation, and created a Deeper Wellness smoothie with Erewhon to benefit LA wildfire relief.

Deeper Well followed Kacey’s acclaimed 2021 album star-crossed and multiple Grammy-winning Golden Hour (2018). In 2023 Musgraves achieved her first Hot100 #1 for “I Remember Everything,” a duet with Zach Bryan. The song is the first country music duet in 40 years since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream” (1983) to reach this feat. “I Remember Everything” won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song by a Duo or Group in February, 2024. With this win, Musgraves became the only artist ever to receive a Grammy Award for Best Country Album, Best Country Song, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Duo or Group Performance.

Musgraves has been recognized and honored by Time Magazine as one of their ‘Women of the Year,’ GLAAD’s Media Awards as their prestigious Vanguard Award recipient, Billboard’s “Women In Music,” Variety’s “Power of Women,” and the Country Music Hall of Fame hosted a comprehensive exhibit of the artist’s life titled Kacey Musgraves: All of the Colors.

Carín León, born in Hermosillo, Sonora, has established himself as one of the most influential figures in contemporary Latin music since launching his solo career in 2018. His innovative approach to regional Mexican music—shaped by influences like pop and rock—has earned him multiple accolades, including three Latin Grammy Awards and a Grammy in 2025 for his acclaimed album Boca Chueca Vol. 1. He has collaborated with international artists such as Maluma, Camilo, and Kane Brown, and has performed on iconic stages like Coachella, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, where he won the coveted Gold and Silver Gaviotas. In 2025, he also broke attendance records at RODEOHOUSTON with over 70,000 fans. León continues to expand the global reach of regional Mexican music, positioning himself as a modern icon and true ambassador of the genre.

Earl Sweatshirt Drops “CRISCO” Video Revealing Listening Party Impostor Stunt

After releasing his new album Live Laugh Love, Earl Sweatshirt returns with the video for “CRISCO.” The visual addresses what fans and media had already noted:

An impostor, not Earl himself, took the mic to perform at his album listening party. Outlets like Complex noted that “something seemed off”-and “CRISCO” offers the inside scoop on the stunt.

Live Laugh Love is out now via Warner Records and Tan Cressida to widespread critical acclaim. The project reveals a new dimension of Earl’s artistry, marking a striking evolution from the raw isolation of I Don’t Like Sh*t, I Don’t Go Outside.

Ella Mai Returns With Mustard-Produced Single “Tell Her,” Marking a Bold New Chapter

0

Grammy Award-winning R&B singer and songwriter Ella Mai is back with the release of her new single “Tell Her,” available now on all streaming platforms via 10 Summers Records. The song marks her first release since her 2024 EP 3, signaling the beginning of an exciting new chapter and follows the success of fan-favorite “Little Things,” one of her most-streamed songs to date.

Produced by Mustard, “Tell Her” pairs Ella’s soulful delivery with a smooth, bouncy beat that feels classic and new. At her most confident and direct, she explores the complexities of love in the modern age, navigating trust, loyalty, and clarity in relationships. Both vulnerable and assertive, the song reflects the perspective of a woman who values honesty and emotional clarity, reminding everyone that real love requires openness and consistency.

Mai has celebrated love in all its forms, and “Tell Her” continues that legacy. It’s a song about setting boundaries while still holding space for compassion, reflecting her growth as a woman and artist who understands that love is both tender and firm. As she enters this next era, the single reaffirms her place as one of R&B’s most authentic voices, an artist who loves love, and whose music continues to resonate because of it.

Cattle Country Music Festival Returns to The Boot in 2026 After Star-Packed 2025 Edition

The Cattle Country Music Festival will return to the historic town of Gonzales, Texas, for its third year on Friday, April 10th, Saturday, April 11th, and Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Ludovico Einaudi and Son Leo Reimagine ‘The Summer Portraits’ on Bold New Album ‘Einaudi vs Einaudi’

0

Following a summer of special performances around the world, as well as on Later… with Jools Holland this weekend and a record-breaking 6-night headline residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall this summer, the ground-breaking composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi today releases a very special album that has been a long time in the making: ‘Einaudi vs Einaudi’.

Ludovico has collaborated with his son, the multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, and arranger Leo Einaudi, for a rework of Ludovico’s latest chart-topping album ‘The Summer Portraits’.

Having composed from a very young age, Leo Einaudi has built a diverse career spanning songwriting, film composition, production and live music. Over the years, Leo has collaborated with Ludovico Einaudi numerous times, contributing to film scores and multidisciplinary projects across theatre as well as recorded music. This unique, long-standing creative partnership has now culminated in this new body of work, in which Leo remixes eight mesmerising tracks.

Ludovico explains, “For several years now, I have been engaged in a musical exchange with Leo, collaborating on various projects, films, and more. There has always been a strong understanding between us, and in addition to having a musical sensibility very close to mine, Leo possesses an artistic sensitivity that I perceive as deeply personal. This is why ‘Einaudi vs Einaudi’ offers a renewed perspective on my original versions, bringing a fresh interpretation to the pieces while preserving their spirit.”

Leo adds, “From the outset of our musical connection, working with my father has always been marked by a deep sense of complicity and a true symbiosis of ideas. What has always amazed me is how natural our collaboration felt. Reimagining his songs happened with that same ease — it became a journey of constant discovery through the endless details at the heart of his music. It allowed me to see new sides of it, to let those elements enter my own imagination, and to shape them into a new form — one that respects their essence while giving them a new life.”

The Summer Portraits, released at the beginning of this year (giving Ludovico his 13th No.1 in the Official UK Classical Album Chart), is the result of a cascade of personal memories triggered by sun, summer and family holidays. On ‘Einaudi vs Einaudi’ Leo Einaudi takes the lush sound and subtle electronica of tracks such as first single ‘Rose Bay’ and enhances it still. Here, driving rhythms penetrate the stillness of the original track, offering another side to the hypnotic piece and taking the immersive sound and textures to another place.

Fridayy Unveils Soulful New Single “Below Zero” Ahead of European Tour

0

Today, Grammy-nominated R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Fridayy released his new single “Below Zero.” The emotionally-charged track arrives just ahead of the European leg of his critically acclaimed Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not world tour, following the successful wrap of the North American leg.

A moody and introspective offering, “Below Zero” showcases Fridayy’s signature blend of soul-baring lyrics and atmospheric production. Known for seamlessly merging genres, Fridayy brings raw vulnerability and melodic depth to a track that feels like a fitting farewell to summer and a compelling prologue to what lies ahead in his next chapter. As summer winds down, Fridayy’s mellifluous voice captures the moodier shift in energy as we transition into the colder, cozier months

“‘Below Zero’ is about feeling numb after giving so much of yourself to people and situations that didn’t value you,” says Fridayy. “I wanted this song to reflect that emotional freeze, when your heart just shuts down. It’s real, it’s cold, and it’s honest.”

The release comes shortly after Fridayy received two nominations for the 2025 BET Awards in the categories of Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for his powerful track “Better Days.”

Following the success of his debut album, a standout year of collaborations, and sold-out shows, Fridayy continues to establish himself as one of the most compelling voices in modern music.

Three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum singer, songwriter, producer, and creator Fridayy explores emotional and sonic extremes in his music. Delivering anthems of celebration and intense introspection with the same gusto, he effortlessly switches lanes between hip-hop, R&B, gospel, pop, and Haitian stylings. Encouraged by his late father, he not only picked up piano, guitar, drums, trumpet, and bass as a kid, but he also honed his chops as part of a church choir. Learning production, he quietly grinded by sharing music online and building an audience as a teen. All of this experience prepared him for a major moment in 2022 when he appeared on DJ Khaled’s blockbuster “God Did” [feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, & Fridayy]. It cracked the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100, earned a Gold certification from the RIAA, and garnered three GRAMMY® Award nominations in the categories of “Song of the Year,” “Best Rap Song,” and “Best Rap Performance.” He lent his voice to Lil Baby’s Platinum-certified “Forever,” which vaulted into the Top 10 of the Hot 100. Fridayy’s Platinum-certified solo single “When It Comes To You” paved the way for his acclaimed 2023 self-titled debut, Fridayy. He emerged as the rare dynamo equally comfortable on a track with either Swedish House Mafia, DJ Snake, and The Chainsmokers or Will Smith, Glorilla, and Chlöe. Not to mention, he expanded his discography as a producer and songwriter collaborating behind-the-scenes with everyone from Lil Baby and Chris Brown to Lil Tjay and Rod Wave. In 2025, he makes a passionate, personal, and powerful statement on his epic double LP, Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not [Def Jam Recordings], which he helmed as the primary writer and producer as well.
