Charles Wesley Godwin Captures Sold-Out Stage AE Show On Expansive Live Album ‘Live From The Steel City’

0

West Virginia-native Charles Wesley Godwin is set to release his forthcoming album Live From The Steel City on September 26th via Big Loud. The 23-song record chronicles Godwin’s expansive catalog of road-tested acclaim. A preview of the larger project, Godwin will release a three-song sampler this Friday consisting of “Cue Country Roads,” “Family Ties,” and “Hardwood Floors” – unforgettable pillars of his live show.

“I’m so pumped to share the live show the boys and I have curated in bars, clubs, theaters, amphitheaters, arenas and stadiums over the last several years,” Godwin shares. “There’s just something about the energy of a live crowd that you can’t replicate in a studio, and I think that shines through on this album in a big way. Stage AE was a special place to be on September 14, 2024, and come September 26, 2025, everyone can experience it with us. Let’s go!”

The live album was recorded at his sold-out show at Stage AE outdoors in Pittsburgh, PA. Live From The Steel City will feature songs from his most recent studio album Family Ties from 2023, like “All Again,” “Another Leaf” and “Miner Imperfections;” tracks from 2021’s How The Mighty Fall (“Jesse,” “Temporary Town,” “Strong”) and breakout favorites from 2019’s Seneca, including “Hardwood Floors,” “Seneca Creek” and more. The album is complete with a cover of Tyler Childers’ “Whitehouse Road” and John Denver’s iconic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

This week, Godwin will take the stage twice during AmericanaFest — tonight (Tues, Sept 9th) at 3rd and Lindsley for an acoustic set, and tomorrow (Wed, Aug 10th) at Skydeck with his band The Allegheny High for Big Loud’s AmericanaFest takeover. His touring schedule throughout the year includes a headlining run with a sold-out stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre next month, alongside dates supporting Eric Church.

John Fogerty Brings Creedence Classics And Solo Hits To Exclusive 2026 Las Vegas Residency

0

John Fogerty is set to return to Las Vegas with a new exclusive engagement, John Fogerty, Live in Las Vegas, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The legendary singer-songwriter will ring in 2026 with a special New Year’s Eve show, followed by additional performances on January 2 and 3 and March 18, 20, and 21, 2026. Fans can expect an electrifying setlist packed with Creedence Clearwater Revival classics and Fogerty’s timeless solo hits.

Presales start on Wednesday, September 10th at 9 am local time, ahead of the general sale on Friday, September 12th.

As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty helped shape the sound of American music, blending blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, and swamp boogie into a genre-defying style that continues to resonate with fans around the world decades after its inception. One of the greatest songwriters of all time, he has received multiple awards and honors for his undeniable impact on music culture including induction in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the BMI Icon Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a special honor for his song “Centerfield” making him the only musician ever honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame. John Fogerty’s songwriting canon spans nearly six decades and includes foundational classics such as “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” Both “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising” have surpassed one billion streams, while “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” continues to go viral on TikTok and has garnered over two billion streams.

Fogerty has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and CCR’s album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits recently logged over 14 years on the Billboard 200, only the fifth album ever to reach that chart milestone. In January 2023, Fogerty regained control over his works, acquiring the majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord.

Today, Fogerty remains as fierce as ever. He is on tour promoting his new album, Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, released on August 22nd. The album is a labor of love celebrating John’s renewed love affair with the music of CCR, and it’s extra special as it features his sons, Shane + Tyler Fogerty. Legacy is not just a celebration of one of the greatest catalogs in rock & roll—it’s the sound of an American original claiming his place, once more, at center stage.

Hajaj Announces Soulful New EP ‘In The Meantime’ With Retro Groove Single “Yours Or Mine”

0

Hajaj possesses the uncanny ability to make any note sound soulful with his cosmic blend of funk, R&B, and Motown-inspired music. After reaching an unforgettable milestone opening for the legendary Stevie Wonder in London’s Hyde Park, the Jeddah-born, London-based singer and songwriter announces In the Meantime, a six-song EP due out October 24th via Nettwerk.

Yours or Mine” is the latest chapter, delivering an understated, textured retro-sounding groove and a melodic bass solo (played by Joe Stoddart) that’s smoother than velvet. Hajaj reunites with his producer and co-writer, Aidan Glover, to bring his vision to life.

“Yours or Mine” follows recent singles “The Waiting Room” and “Maybe It’s You,” both set to appear on In the Meantime.

Singer-songwriter and producer Abdul Rahman Hajaj has always had a knack for life on the road. In just eight years, he went from living in Jeddah to Villars-sur-Ollon, Orange County, Los Angeles, Oregon, Colorado, Barcelona, and now London. There, he met producer and multi-instrumentalist Aidan Glover, who executive-produced Hajaj’s Last Call For Coco (2021).

That EP featured some of London’s finest jazz musicians, with co-writing by Rhys Lewis, mixing by Richard Wilkinson (Amy Winehouse, Lianne La Havas, Paolo Nutini), and mastering by Gwyn Mathias (Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street”). Structured in twenty minutes, the EP tells the story of an undiagnosed bipolar relationship cycle.

Hajaj’s early years were steeped in Arabic poetry and an eclectic household soundtrack that included Feiruz, Talal Maddah, Paco De Lucia, and Pharrell. Feeling caught between two worlds, he turned to music as his refuge and primary form of communication. His songs often carry themes of longing, nostalgia, and the search for home, with the word “why” recurring throughout his writing.

Not much is known about Saudi artists on the global stage, but Hajaj embraces this space of discontinuity as fuel for self-evaluation and artistic exploration.

In the Meantime — Track List

  1. Maybe It’s You
  2. The Waiting Room
  3. Yours or Mine
  4. Space
  5. For What It’s Worth
  6. In the Meantime

Bre Kennedy Shines With Empowering New Single And Video “Baby Blue”

0

Bre Kennedy has released her newest single, “Baby Blue,” a track that channels unfiltered emotion into an upbeat, empowering pop experience. Marking the start of a fresh chapter in her artistry, “Baby Blue” arrives with a gorgeous new video celebrating vulnerability, honesty, and radical self-expression.

The song—co-written with Robyn Dell’Unto and Field Guide—reframes sadness as a color to be embraced, not hidden. “If I’m going to be blue, then I’m gonna be blue, baby blue,” says Bre. “It’s about the radical act of allowing ourselves to feel sadness and anger, especially in a world that constantly seems to break our hearts.”

Accompanied by a visually stunning music video, Bre invites viewers into a world of emotional freedom and feminine energy. The video’s powerful imagery mirrors the song’s message of bold softness and joyful resistance.

“Baby Blue” reflects the evolution of an artist unafraid to speak her truth—and dares others to do the same.

Joni Mitchell Releases Expansive ‘Joni’s Jazz’ Collection Spanning Five Decades

0

Joni Mitchell releases Joni’s Jazz, a passion project years in the making. This career-spanning collection features recordings chosen by Mitchell that reflect jazz’s profound influence on her music.

The release is available now as an 8LP vinyl box set, a 4CD edition, and across all digital and streaming platforms. Both the vinyl and CD versions include liner notes with rare and previously unseen photos and original artwork by Mitchell. Order HERE

An exclusive Joni Mitchell Archives fine-art print is available as a gift-with-purchase exclusive from jonimitchell.com

Spanning 61 tracks, Joni’s Jazz includes studio recordings, live performances, rare alternate takes and previously unreleased demos, and material drawn from multiple decades and record labels. Listen to today’s release day focus track, “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat (Live at the Santa Barbara County Bowl, September 9, 1979)” HERE.

The set features contributions from some of Mitchell’s most important collaborators in jazz, among them Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Hancock, and Charles Mingus. Mitchell, who calls Shorter her favorite collaborator, dedicates the collection to him following his passing in 2023. “It was a joy to play with him,” she writes. “He will be missed, but he will remain alive for me in this music.”

Covering nearly every era of her recording career, the collection includes selections from Songs To A Seagull, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Hejira, Mingus, Turbulent Indigo, Both Sides Now (a 2001 GRAMMY® Award winner), and more. It also features her guest appearances on projects like Hancock’s GRAMMY® Award-winning album, River: The Joni Letters.

Across the collection, the music follows Mitchell’s artistic growth — from the rhythmic layering of “Harry’s House / Centerpiece” to the bold experimentation of “The Jungle Line,” the narrative scale of “Paprika Plains,” and the airy, improvised feel of “A Chair In The Sky.”

It draws from more than five decades of Mitchell’s recordings, going back to 1968 for “Marcie,” from Song To A Seagull. The most recent is her performance of “Summertime,” recorded live at the 2023 Newport Folk Festival. It marked Mitchell’s first full-length concert in over two decades — a powerful return that resonated around the world.

As a self-portrait in sound, Joni’s Jazz captures an artist in conversation with jazz over a lifetime — never imitating, always inventing. Last year, in the liner notes for Joni Mitchell Archives – Vol. 4, she joked, “People ask me my favorite of my albums, it’s going to be Joni’s Jazz.” Now it is.

Funk/Pop Trio DARUMAS Return With Deluxe ‘DARUMAS+’ And Bold New Single “Ex-Cusas”

0

After capturing attention with their genre-blending debut and a Latin GRAMMY nomination, DARUMAS return with DARUMAS+, the deluxe reissue of their self-titled project—now featuring 8 bold new tracks and a brand-new single “Ex-Cusas.”

Packed with energy and empowerment, “Ex-Cusas” explores the emotional leftovers of past relationships with tongue-in-cheek confidence. The track wraps up heartbreak in horn-filled funk, R&B swagger, and quick lyrical jabs. Its surreal music video brings the wit to life, placing the trio in a visually twisted dreamscape of stars, shifting colors, and kaleidoscopic effects.

The additional songs in DARUMAS+ continue the group’s mission to mix and redefine genres. From disco and pop to soul and Latin funk, tracks like “Hollywood,” “No La Llames,” and “Francotirador” showcase their unstoppable chemistry and evolving sound.

Hailing from Argentina, Miami/Cuba, and Haiti/Chile, Aldana, Ceci, and Vedala form a cross-cultural trio rooted in groove and social impact. Their diverse backgrounds feed into music that celebrates joy, strength, and fearless experimentation—earning them festival slots at Outside Lands, SXSW, Rock in Rio, and more.

Slipknot Celebrate 25 Years With Deluxe Reissue Of Landmark Self-Titled Debut

Released on June 29th, 1999, Slipknot’s self-titled debut, now triple platinum, was an instant classic with fans and a smash hit with critics. Celebrating the iconic album with its deluxe reissue, Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition) is available in stores and across digital retailers today via Roadrunner Records.

To mark its release, today the band has also shared the official video for “Scissors”, taken from Welcome to Our Neighborhood, Pt. 2.

Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition) was initially released to fans as a special box set edition. Limited to 100 blood-filled self-titled LP vinyl copies via their secret site 742617000027.net, the edition sold out in seconds, crashing the website in the process.

Its additional physical versions include a 6LP Box Set with blood-splattered vinyl (limited to 1,899 copies, which also sold out in minutes), 2LP editions in various limited-edition colourways, and a 2CD, in addition to digital releases on streaming services.

Depending on the format, this release includes the original Ross Robinson-produced album, plus recordings that were only heard by the band and their inner circle at the time of production. All collected from the original sources, these include unreleased takes, alternate versions, and mixes from SR Audio, Indigo Ranch, and more, as well as ‘test mixes’ from alternate mixers.

Not only are these recordings the full story behind the recording of this now-iconic album, they also chart the course of choices made and paths taken, and how the Slipknot the world knows today came to be.

Ed Sheeran and NPR’s Tiny Desk Team Up For Historic Concert On ‘Play’ Album Release Day

0

On September 12, four-time Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran will join NPR’s iconic Tiny Desk for an intimate, live-streamed concert following the release of his new album ‘Play’ earlier that day. Sheeran will perform a selection of new music on his loop station in the first-ever livestreamed Tiny Desk concert of this scale. The concert will reach more than 60 million subscribers across NPR and Sheeran’s YouTube channels.

The concert airs live at noon ET on NPR Music’s YouTube channel and will be available following the show on Ed Sheeran’s channel and NPR Music’s channel.

“The Desk has always been about breaking down the walls between artist and audience,” said Bobby Carter, series producer and host of NPR’s Tiny Desk. “With this livestream, we’re taking that intimacy worldwide. And trust me — Ed Sheeran is going to make history.”

NPR’s Tiny Desk has become known for its authenticity, and this livestream takes that experience to the next level by bringing listeners in the room, in the moment.

“The Tiny Desk concerts that regularly publish are meticulously post-produced by our talented audio and video producers,” said NPR Music’s Executive Producer Suraya Mohamed. “We are excited to share a live, raw version of a Tiny Desk concert with our audience — something we haven’t done since 2019.”

Since launching in 2008, NPR’s Tiny Desk series has become one of the most celebrated and influential concert series in the world. From rising stars to global icons, artists perform stripped-down sets behind the Desk at the NPR headquarters. By focusing on raw, unfiltered artistry, Tiny Desk has redefined what live performance can be. With millions of subscribers across YouTube and social media, NPR’s Tiny Desk reaches more than 20 million viewers each month and generated more than 62 million views across platforms in the past year.

This marks Sheeran’s second collaboration with NPR. He first appeared in a Tiny Desk (Home) Concert in 2021, filmed during the work-from-home era of the global pandemic. Now, with ‘Play,’ Sheeran’s eight studio album, Sheeran returns to bring never-before-performed music to the Tiny Desk through a rare livestream.

Cam Returns After Four Years With Soulful New Single “Alchemy”

0

GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Cam returns with her long-awaited solo single, “Alchemy,” out now across platforms. Marking her first solo release in four years, the track brings together folk, pop, and country in a seamless fusion that highlights her evolution as an artist.

Produced by frequent collaborator Tyler Johnson (Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus), “Alchemy” finds Cam co-writing with Johnson, Michael Uzowuru (Frank Ocean, SZA), and Anders Mouridsen (Meghan Trainor). The result is a contemplative yet bright exploration of life’s cyclical journey.

“I wanted to write something where we just focused on melody, but it turned into a song about reflecting on what we’re made of, where we’re coming from and where we’re going,” Cam says of the track.

To accompany the song’s release, Cam debuted a compelling one-take visual directed by James Mackel, known for his work with Doechii. The video serves as a thoughtful visual extension of the track’s lyrical depth.

“Alchemy” builds on the foundation of Cam’s acclaimed catalog, including her 2015 debut Untamed, which featured the 3x platinum hit “Burning House.” That single earned her a Grammy nomination and became one of the best-selling country tracks by a female solo act in recent memory.

More recently, Cam contributed to Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER, earning her second Grammy nod and first win as a songwriter for Album Of The Year. She also appeared on 070 Shake’s PETRICHOR via the co-written track “Never Let Us Fade.”
