0

By Mitch Rice

In 2025, hair trends are all about authenticity, convenience, and versatility—and nothing captures that better than the rising popularity of human hair half wigs. For women looking to add volume, length, and effortless style without committing to full wigs or sew-ins, CurlyMe human hair half wigs are the go-to solution. These wigs blend seamlessly with your natural hair, giving you the best of both worlds: real hair and real style.

Let’s explore why CurlyMe Half Wigs are taking over the beauty scene and why they belong in your wig rotation this year.

What Is a Human Hair Half Wig?

A half wig is a wig that covers only the back portion of your head, leaving your natural hairline and front section exposed. This allows you to blend your own hair with the wig for a seamless, natural-looking finish. When made with 100% human hair, like the wigs offered by CurlyMe, the result is virtually undetectable.

Half wigs are ideal for:

  • Adding volume and length instantly

  • Achieving a natural look with leave-out

  • Creating quick, everyday styles with minimal effort

  • Protective styling without full head coverage

Why Choose CurlyMe Human Hair Half Wigs?

CurlyMe has built a reputation for providing premium-quality human hair that is soft, tangle-free, and long-lasting. Their half wigs are designed with every hair texture in mind, making it easy to match with your natural hair—whether you’re rocking straight, body wave, kinky curly, or deep wave.

Here’s what makes CurlyMe’s half wigs stand out in 2025:

1. 100% Real Human Hair

CurlyMe uses unprocessed, virgin human hair, which means you can wash, heat-style, dye, and curl the hair just like your own. This allows for incredible flexibility and longevity that synthetic wigs simply can’t match.

2. Seamless Blending with Natural Hair

One of the biggest advantages of a half wig is how effortlessly it blends with your own hair. CurlyMe offers a variety of textures—such as kinky curly, deep wave, and yaki straight—so you can find the perfect match for your natural curl pattern or relaxed hair. With the right leave-out technique, your half wig will be completely undetectable.

3. Glueless & Beginner-Friendly

CurlyMe half wigs are designed for easy, glueless wear. Most come with adjustable straps and secure combs, so you can throw it on and go in minutes—no salon appointment necessary. This is perfect for beginners or anyone who wants a quick yet flawless hair transformation.

4. Perfect for Protective Styling

Half wigs give your natural hair a break by reducing daily manipulation. While you leave out just a small portion of your hair, the rest stays protected under the wig cap. It’s a great way to protect your ends and encourage hair growth while still rocking a stylish, full look.

5. On-Trend Styles for 2025

CurlyMe’s 2025 half wig collection reflects this year’s hottest trends:

  • Fluffy curls and volume-packed textures

  • Effortless body waves for casual glam

  • Blowout-inspired yaki straight styles

  • Shoulder-length half wigs for a natural vibe

No matter your style, CurlyMe has something that fits your lifestyle and hair goals.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re a busy professional, a student on the go, or someone who just wants to switch up your look without the fuss, CurlyMe human hair half wig and 7×5 lace wig offer the ideal mix of realism, style, and convenience.

2025 is the year of embracing your beauty without compromise—and that starts with hair that feels just as real as it looks. With CurlyMe’s premium half wigs, you’re not just wearing a wig. You’re enhancing your natural beauty with confidence.

So go ahead—upgrade your hair game with CurlyMe and experience the power of real hair, real style.

5 Fascinating Ways Iconic Bands Are Remembered

0

By Mitch Rice

Some music acts don’t just top charts, they transcend time. Iconic bands often leave behind more than just hit records and unforgettable concerts. Through creative tributes and imaginative merchandise, they cement their legacy and continue to inspire fans across generations. Beyond fashion collaborations and digital platforms, many bands reach a kind of cultural immortality through the ways their fans and the industry choose to celebrate them. From collectible memorabilia to immersive digital experiences, the ways we remember our favorite bands are as diverse as the music itself.

Whether it’s vinyl reissues, exclusive apparel, or even branded kitchenware, fans find countless ways to honor their favorite bands. Designers and creators are constantly exploring new ways to connect with music lovers, designing logos, stage visuals, and album art that eventually become part of everyday life.

Even in the digital age, the legacy of music continues to evolve. Video games and branded entertainment experiences bring fans closer than ever before. Let’s take a look at some of the most innovative and lasting ways iconic bands are being remembered.

Limited-Edition Vinyl & Reissues

For collectors and audiophiles, vinyl is more than a format, it’s a tribute. Fans often celebrate their favorite bands by snapping up limited-edition reissues of classic albums. These releases frequently feature colored vinyl, exclusive artwork, lyric booklets, and posters. Many Beatles fans treasure their remastered box sets, not just for the music, but for the tangible connection to the band’s legacy. Music isn’t just heard, it’s held, admired, and collected.

Creative Everyday Merchandise

Some bands take a more playful approach to merchandise, extending their brand into unexpected corners of daily life. Think branded skateboards, kitchenware, or even home décor. A standout example is Metallica’s whiskey line, which gives fans a way to toast their rock heroes, while owning a collectible that doubles as a lifestyle product.

Fashion Collaborations

Music and fashion have always been intertwined, but recent collaborations have elevated this relationship to new heights. Iconic bands are now partnering with luxury designers to create high-fashion pieces that reinterpret classic logos and imagery. The Rolling Stones’ collaborations with major fashion houses reimagined the band’s tongue-and-lips logo for a whole new generation. These partnerships blur the line between merchandise and art, making band merch not just stylish, but collectible.

Artwork and Visual Collaborations

Great music often inspires great art. Many bands have sparked the creativity of visual artists, leading to limited-edition posters, sculptures, and digital works that reflect the spirit of the music. Pink Floyd’s legendary album covers, for example, have been reinterpreted in countless ways, resulting in pieces worthy of gallery exhibitions. These artistic tributes go far beyond typical memorabilia; they’re cultural artifacts in their own right.

Digital Tributes and Online Slots

The digital world offers yet another way to celebrate musical icons. Band-themed online slots combine entertainment with nostalgia, allowing fans to engage with their favorite artists in an entirely new format. These games often include iconic songs, visuals, and themed features, creating immersive experiences that feel both fresh and familiar. Slots based on Guns N’ Roses, Kiss, and Megadeth are among those available, and Casino.ca has reviewed the best online casinos in Canada to highlight where fans can find them, along with the bonuses ready to claim.

Why These Tributes Matter

These creative expressions don’t just keep bands relevant; they help preserve their cultural significance. From vinyl records to online slots, each piece of memorabilia offers fans a new way to connect with the music they love. In many ways, these items act as time capsules, reminding listeners of where they were, who they were with, and how they felt when the music first hit them.

Conclusion

The legacy of an iconic band doesn’t end when the music stops—it lives on through the memories, emotions, and creative tributes sparked by their work. Whether it’s limited-edition vinyl, high-fashion collaborations, or interactive digital experiences, these items serve as lasting reminders of the music that shaped our lives.

Afrobeats Icon Davido Premieres “10 Kilo” Video from ‘5IVE,’ Honoring Sound Sultan and Celebrating Body Positivity

0

Global Afrobeats superstar Davido shares the music video for 5IVE album track “10 Kilo.” The vibrant new video is an ode to body confidence, unapologetic femininity, and the beauty of women worldwide. Directed by the acclaimed Director Pink, the latest visual offering from the 4x Grammy-nominated artist blends Davido’s signature charisma with striking, celebratory imagery.

Set against showcase backdrops and filled with bold, playful movement, the visuals celebrate self-love and empowerment, redefining mainstream beauty narratives in the Afrobeats space – the video expands the song’s message of body positivity while honoring the legacy of late Nigerian music icon Sound Sultan.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the video, Davido shared, “When I recorded ’10 Kilo,’ I wanted it to be more than just a song you dance to. It’s about loving yourself exactly as you are – it’s paying respect to Sound Sultan, who taught us to stand tall in our truth. He was a pioneer who used music to break barriers and spread love, and this is my way of keeping his spirit alive…we poured our hearts into this video, the energy, the fashion, the choreography. I wanted people to see themselves in it, to feel celebrated no matter their shape, size, or style. It’s a movement as much as it is music.”

From flirty dance sequences to intimate close-ups that highlight confidence in every curve, “10 Kilo” is more than a music video; it’s a statement. It continues Davido’s legacy of pairing chart-topping sound with meaningful visual storytelling, cementing his role not just as a global hitmaker but as a cultural voice for inclusivity. Spread throughout the music video are heartfelt nods to Sound Sultan’s influence on Nigerian music culture, including archival imagery, symbolic references to his signature style, and subtle callbacks to his timeless hits.

“10 Kilo” first arrived on Davido’s record-breaking fifth studio album 5IVE, which debuted at #7 on the UK Albums Chart and continues to dominate global streaming platforms. The track’s irresistible rhythm and infectious hook have already made it a fan favourite, sparking thousands of social media videos that champion body positivity and self-celebration. The release of “10 Kilo” follows a monumental year for Davido, including his sold-out North American 5IVE ALIVE as well as the global success of collaborations like “With You” with Omah Lay and “Offa Me” with Victoria Monet. With the “10 Kilo” video, Davido delivers yet another powerful and unforgettable chapter in his mission to push Afrobeats and its message to every corner of the world.

UK Darkwave Artist Max Rael Unveils ‘Pressing Against The Glass’ from Debut Album ‘The Enemy Is Us’

0

British electronic artist Max Rael presents ‘Pressing Against The Glass’, a danceable elegy for the unbelonging. Capturing the deep-seated ache of being on the outside, this is a soundtrack for those who feel eternally separated from the warmth and safety they can only observe.

Based in Hertfordshire, Max Rael is a key creative force in the UK underground through 1990s-2000s electro-goth trailblazers History Of Guns, frontrunners of the Wasp Factory / FuturePunk scene, and Decommissioned Forests. Here, he showcases his singular talents on this record, featuring unique twists on sound design and his acclaimed outsider lyrical perspectives. Musician, writer, actor, engineer and producer, Max Rael has collaborated with Fish (Marillion), Last July, Kommand + Kontrol, Freudstein and Bienheldenschafgegenstand.

“I’ve always been taken by the image of someone being outside alone in the cold looking in through a window to warmth, comfort and safety that’s not for them. I was thinking of Heathcliff looking through the windows of Thrushcross Grange in “Wuthering Heights” or Frank Abagnale Jr in the film “Catch Me If You Can”, outside in the snow at Christmas, unseen looking in through the window at his mother with her new family, happy and warm indoors and realising there is nowhere he belongs, and no one he belongs to,” says Max Rael.

This is the latest audio-visual offering from his debut solo album ‘The Enemy Is Us’, released via London imprint Liquid Len Media. Offering up a dark bouquet of minimalist synth, darkwave and spoken-word electronic pop, this album introduces Rael’s compelling ‘futuretroist’ sound: an alternative sonic universe built on a unique sound design that feels at once familiar and alien.

Rael’s powerful and thought-provoking spoken-word lyrics confronts a world in freefall-its corruption, alienation, and misery. The result seemingly effortlessly conflates a painfully personal portrait of an interior world, with an achingly universal depiction of society and the world outside. He still unearths a resilient core of hope and gallows humour that burns brightly through the darkness, offering a complex and compelling take on the human condition.

Earlier, Max Rael released the poignant shadow-streaked ‘Slightly Less Than Human’, a nervy electronic track with a great hooky synth melody and spoken word vocals. Partly inspired by Japanese author Osamu Dazai. Lyrically, Max Rael relays his feeling of being somehow different from the rest of the human race, while the non-album B-side ‘When the Only Winning Move Is Not to Play’ relates to the 1983 film “War Games” and the book ‘The Games People Play’ by Eric Berne.

In April, Max Rael shared his spoken-word electronic pop song ‘Brighter Future’, where he questions avoidant strategies of coping with life in a seemingly increasingly chaotic and unsafe world and queries how can we reverse course from an anticipated dystopian future. The B-side ‘The People We Love Have Won (Persistence Is All)’ is a darker beast, named after Coil’s 2000 London performance at The Royal Festival Hall, which also happens to be tattooed on the inside of Rael’s left wrist.

Spoken word, electronic music and loud drums feature strongly on the 12-track album, produced and mixed by Max Rael with additional mixing by Caden Clarkson and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Pixies. Nine Inch Nails). Fusing a range of electronic music styles with other genres, Max Rael is a master journeyman of existential exploration into humanity, self, society, reality, psychology, philosophy and the future.

Latin Folk Star Silvana Estrada Unveils “Dime” Video with Owen Pallett and Announces Global Tour for ‘Vendrán Suaves Lluvias’

0

Latin GRAMMY-winning artist Silvana Estrada shares the official music video for her spellbinding single “Dime”, and announces a major international tour.

Alongside this announcement, Estrada unveils the cinematic official video for “Dime” [Tell Me], a searing meditation on anger as a catalyst for transformation with orchestral arrangements by Oscar-nominated composer Owen Pallett (Frank Ocean, The National, Haim). The video, self-directed by Estrada and choreographed by Carla Segovia, matches the song’s delicate balance between folk intimacy and sweeping grandeur.

Filmed at Laguna in Mexico City in collaboration with La Metropolitana, the video features chairs from Elephant in the Room, a collection designed in collaboration with Marina Amabrovic.

The July 29 announcement of Vendran Suaves Lluvias and “Dime” sparked an outpouring of international press attention. Pitchfork and Rolling Stone highlighted the new single and album reveal. Rolling Stone en Espa-ol called it her “long-awaited” second studio album. Remezcla featured “Dime” among the week’s best new tracks, and Billboard twice spotlighted the release: first in a Latin music roundup and then with a glowing review noting how Estrada “transforms rage into hope and freedom through a soft and emotional melody” enriched by Owen Pallett’s “almost cinematic” arrangements and her own “heartbreaking and unparalleled voice.”

Estrada will bring that range and depth to the stage this fall with a newly announced tour (tickets available August 15th at 10am locally) spanning Europe, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. After performances in cities including Vienna, Copenhagen, and Reykjavik, she will make a much-anticipated return to North America for a series of standout dates including Webster Hall in New York City, Theatre Beanfield in Montreal, and Belasco in Los Angeles, ensuring fans across the continent can experience the luminous soundscapes of Vendran Suaves Lluvias. This run also follows the news of Estrada’s addition to the lineup for Billboard Latin Music Week 2025, further cementing her status as one of the most vital voices in contemporary Latin music.

Written entirely by Estrada and self-produced in Montreal, Barcelona, and Mexico City, Vendran Suaves Lluvias represents years of personal and artistic transformation. The album draws its name from Sara Teasdale’s 1918 poem There Will Come Soft Rains, weaving themes of renewal and hope after loss. It follows a period of profound upheaval, creative roadblocks, a spinal injury, and the devastating murder of her best friend, that led Estrada to seek “softness and sweetness and a safe space to reconnect with my intuition.”

From the Venezuelan cuatro and harp to sweeping orchestral passages recorded in Skopje, North Macedonia, the record’s sound is a collage of influences, enriched by additional arrangements from longtime collaborator Roberto Verastegui. “The freedom to choose the sounds I wanted initially terrified me,” she says. “But when I embraced that freedom, a sincere and transparent world slowly began to form. This album is filled with learning, with love, and with the beauty of being human, even in our hardest moments.”

Earlier singles “Lila Alelí” and “Como Un Pajaro” earned praise from outlets including NPR, Rolling Stone en Espa-ol, VICE, Pitchfork, and Billboard, the latter calling her work “a beautiful introspective piece” that highlights “her seductive, virtuosic voice.” Rolling Stone described it as “a stunning contemplation… a balm for heartbroken insomniacs,” while The Guardian lauded its “pristine simplicity.”

Already a defining voice of her generation, Estrada has earned a Latin GRAMMY for Best New Artist, a 2024 GRAMMY nomination for Best Global Music Performance, and honors from the Grammy Museum and National Sawdust for her contributions to art and activism. She has collaborated with artists including Natalia Lafourcade, AURORA, Laufey, Gustavo Dudamel, and Rodrigo Amarante, and her live performances, from NPR’s Tiny Desk to international festival stages, are celebrated for their emotional power and intimacy.

“I hope you enjoy this album,” Silvana writes. “I made it, above all things, with absolute love and total dedication. And I hope that after listening to it, you can trust that the soft rains will come. That peace and joy will return. That hope will bloom again.”

Psychedelic-Americana Supergroup The Third Mind Drop “Reno, Nevada” Video from September 19 Album ‘Right Now!’

0

The Third Mind shares the official video for “Reno, Nevada,” the second single unveiled from Right Now!, their highly anticipated third studio album out September 19 on Yep Roc Records.

Shot on location in Reno, Nevada by videographer Jon Luini, of the video (and song), director Victor Krummenacher says, “‘Reno, Nevada’ is a strange song about a strange town. Like many American cities, downtown Reno has seen better days, straining under current circumstances. The video follows Dave and Jesse’s descent into the underworld-or purgatory-where they observe the ghosts of Reno past and present, witnessing humanity in all its forms in the Biggest Little City in the World. Whether they escape or get sucked into the city remains ambiguous. All roads lead to Reno, after all.”

“When The Third Mind considered recording ‘Reno, Nevada’, the late Richard Farina’s 1965 folk classic, we discussed how to make our take of this tune different from other notable covers of it,” offers Dave Alvin. “We decided to try to musically catch the desperation and alienation of the lyrics by mixing the Howlin’ Wolf and Hubert Sumlin lick from Smokestack Lightnin’ with a healthy dose of Captain Beefheart’s abstract blues guitar yowls while Jesse Sykes and I would pay homage to folk/rock pioneers Richard and Mimi Farina with tight twin vocals in tribute to their unique style. I don’t know if the tragic poet, novelist, dulcimer enthusiast and hipster hustler Richard Farina would approve of our version of his song, but I think he would happily dance to it.”

“The wind was blowing something fierce when we shot this video in the streets of downtown Reno”, adds Jesse Sykes, “I imagined being the character the song ‘Reno, Nevada’ must have been written for back in the 60’s when Richard Farina wrote it…..Greasy hair and dirty wind blowing in your face, blowing the shirt off your back while trying to chase down magic in the wake of desperation. I long for the days when forlorn characters and youth itself could turn gritty little pockets of American culture into places of mythological wonder. The streets were strangely empty. Where was everyone? The grit lives on, but differently now. I hope this song and video captures a bit of past meets present, adding to the vast lexicon that celebrates gritty Americana folklore.”

What began as a free-form studio experiment between Dave Alvin and Victor Krummenacher (Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, Monks of Doom, Eyelids), inspired by the spontaneity of Miles Davis’ improvisational work, The Third Mind morphed into a supergroup enlisting guitarist David Immergluck (Counting Crows, John Hiatt, Monks of Doom, Camper Van Beethoven), drummer Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson, Better Than Ezra, John Cale), and singer/songwriter Jesse Sykes (Jesse Sykes & The Sweeter Hereafter), whose mesmerizing vocal presence Alvin credits as the band’s anchor. “To me, Jesse’s vocals are the glue that holds this whole thing together,” says Alvin. “Her voice is so unique, and she sings with such intense introspection that it just sucks you in.”

Recorded live over four days at 64 Sound Recording Studio in Los Angeles, Right Now! is a masterclass in instinct and improvisation by skillful musicians meeting in real time to find the songs as they go. “Everything about this record is intuitive,” says GRAMMY award-winning singer/songwriter and guitarist and The Third Mind co-founder Dave Alvin. “It’s five musicians walking a tightrope, improvising in dialogue with each other and finding the songs in real time.”

Despite the album’s sprawling nature, The Third Mind abides by a few core guidelines: show up, don’t overthink it, and surrender to the moment; no rehearsals, no written arrangements, no discussions on approach, just a list of songs and keys meant to serve as a guide on the band’s journey toward wherever the spirit takes them. “We record in a circle all looking at each other and cut everything live in just two or three takes,” says Dave. “It’s simultaneously the most old-fashioned and most modern way we could make a record. Every single note we play is in service of the song and our interpretation of it in that moment.”

Their self-titled 2020 debut album earned acclaim from Glide Magazine who hailed “they may just be the coolest jam band out there right now,” while Magnet Magazine exclaimed “Not so much a supergroup as a great f***ing band.” Following the band’s live debut at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and the 2023 release of The Third Mind 2 the band captured a series of tour dates for 2025’s sprawling The Third Mind – Live Mind, which also featured guitarist Mark Karan (Ratdog, Phil Lesh).

For the first time, The Third Mind will take their electrifying live show beyond the West Coast with an October tour run. Following their September performance to CAMPOUT for its 20th anniversary at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA, and an October 3 return to the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles with the Mad Alchemist Liquid Light Show, the band heads east. With stops at fan-favorite venues in Columbus, OH, Davenport, IA, Chicago, Milwaukee, Ferndale, MI, and Cleveland, the tour continues with dates at Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, NY, White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, and The Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C., before wrapping up with a pair of Colorado shows in Denver and Fort Collins.

East Nash Grass Release “Hill Country Highway” Ahead of August 22 Album ‘All God’s Children’

0

“Try to keep my mind clear and stay between the ditches,” sings East Nash Grass’s Harry Clark three verses into the band’s latest single, “Hill Country Highway.” While the time-honored road song is part of any good touring band’s catalog, East Nash Grass’s latest iteration of the tradition feels both timely and timeless, with a desperation to be back home but a sly nod to everything it’ll take to make it.

“Have you ever been gone from home a long time with no place to lay your body other than the bed of a thousand truckers?” asks Clark while describing the impetus of “Hill Country Highway.” “Did you ever take Stacker 3 and smoke a pack of Marlboro Skyline 100s? Have you ever driven your buddies through Rocky Mountain high roads, blinded by a whiteout? If you have, I need not say more.” And like the last leg of every good tour or road trip, the final few bars of the song host a number of false endings; the musical equivalent to hitting traffic, one last gas fill up, or the dreaded home stretch flat tire. But with a blink-and-you-missed-it run time of just over two minutes, looking back on journeys past, it still goes by too fast.

“Hill Country Highway” is the latest single from East Nash Grass’s upcoming album, All God’s Children-out August 22nd on Mountain Fever Records-with Clark on mandolin, Cory Walker on banjo, guitarist James Kee, Maddie Denton on fiddle, Jeff Partin on bass, and Gaven Largent playing dobro. With All God’s Children, East Nash Grass have whittled down their immense catalog to an all-new, ten-song collection featuring five new originals, two deep-cut covers, two tunes from friends, and a string-band reimagining of a traditional Liberian chant; a feat only accomplished by the no-rules mentality of one of the most talked about bands on the scene. A worldly blend of spirituality, connectedness, and world-class picking-members of East Nash Grass formerly accompanied Dan Tyminski, Tim O’Brien, Sierra Hull, Rhonda Vincent, and more-All God’s Children is the next chapter in their interstellar rise to greatness.

Peabo Bryson Marks 50 Years with ‘Golden Touch’ Tour, New Album ‘Grace,’ and Forthcoming Book

0

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Peabo Bryson celebrates his life and 50 year musical legacy on the Golden Touch Tour through 2026. It will culminate with the release of his new album Grace produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as well as a book, more details to be announced.

With a soulful voice and romantic duets with Celine Dion, Roberta Flack and Regina Belle amongst others, Peabo became known as “King of the Balladeers,” winning two Grammy Awards: “Beauty and the Beast” (1992) and “A Whole New World”(1993).

But it almost came to an end in 2018 when Peabo suffered a massive heart attack. Saved by the heroic actions of his wife, who performed CPR for twenty minutes until help could arrive, Peabo Bryson has a second chance and lease on life.

“It’s surreal. Most people don’t get to say they’ve had a five-decade career in anything, let alone music. But what makes it even more special is that I almost didn’t make it to see this milestone,” Peabo reflects. “The Golden Touch Tour is a celebration – of survival, of 50 years of music, and of the incredible fans who have supported me through it all. We’ll span my entire career, but with a new energy that comes from knowing how precious each performance really is.”

To celebrate 50 years, Peabo will release a new album Grace, produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis due in 2026. He will also release a book filled with stories spanning his 50 year career.
