After dazzling audiences at Londonâs Royal Albert Hall, New Yorkâs Carnegie Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl, alt-rock innovator Beck brings his orchestral spectacle to Australia for the first time. This May, he will perform five special shows, three at the Sydney Opera House and two at Melbourneâs Palais Theatre, reimagining his catalog with sweeping symphonic force.
The setlist draws from landmark releases including the multi-platinum âOdelay,â the globe-trotting âMutations,â the introspective âSea Change,â and Grammy Album of the Year winner âMorning Phase,â alongside deeper cuts and surprises. These performances transform Beckâs genre-shifting songwriting into expansive arrangements that heighten both drama and nuance.
In Sydney, Beck joins the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under conductor Nicholas Bug. In Melbourne, he performs with Philharmonia Australia, led by Orchestra Supervisor Chong Lim AM. Philharmonia Australia stands among the countryâs premier session orchestras, known for major national tours with artists such as Josh Groban, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Hans Zimmer, Michael Bolton, Harry Connick Jr., and Ministry of Sound.
Presales are underway ahead of the general sale on Thursday, March 5 at 11 am AEDT. Beckâs orchestral run offers Australian audiences a rare opportunity to hear his catalog reframed with cinematic scale and live symphonic power.
