FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER Unveils New Anthem To The Sake God SAKEKAGURA

Japanese operatic metalcore adventurers FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER have begun 2026 by revealing a new chapter of their ongoing saga with the single “SAKEKAGURA.” Set for digital release on January 28, 2026—coinciding with guitarist Takuma’s birthday—the track is a “magical hymn to sake and celebration.” The release also serves as the official introduction of the band’s new blue-haired bassist, NINO, formerly of the metal band ArkRoyal. The single marks the band’s first new material since their 2025 debut album, ‘Anthems of the Resilient’, and continues their tradition of blending heavy metal with high-fantasy storytelling.

The music video for “SAKEKAGURA” was filmed at the historic Jyouseiji Temple in Uraga, Yokosuka, a site dating back to the Kamakura period. The visual features a guest appearance by Kaelhakase, the frontman of Japanese Folk Metal, who portrays the “God of Sake.” The production reunited the band with director Yuuichi Tamura and executive advisor Mr.EYEGAGO (frontman of AILIFDOPA). Musically, the track features orchestral compositions by Freddy of Serenity In Murder and was produced, mixed, and mastered by Hiro at Studio Prisoner, known for his work with Unlucky Morpheus and Crystal Lake.

The band’s connection to traditional Japanese spirits extends beyond their music; they previously collaborated with Metal Master Brewing Tokyo to create ‘FATHOMLESS VOYAGE IPA’. This American-style IPA, inspired by their song “Pirates of the Fathomless Sea,” features notes of mint and pink pepper and is currently available at heavy metal taverns across Tokyo. In the “SAKEKAGURA” video, each band member is introduced with sake-inspired titles: Chihiro as the “Sake Offering Priestess,” Takuma as the “Drunken Mad Emperor Beast,” TETSU as the “Sake-Drinking Monk,” and NINO as the “Intoxicated Swordmaster.” “SAKEKAGURA” is available for preorder now via JPU Records.

“This human world is a fleeting one, and yet that is precisely why it dances so beautifully,” the band shared in a message regarding the new song. “The hidden treasure is the love of sake. Even if one cannot drink, as long as your heart is in sake, you, yourself are the treasure.”

The main event on April 17 is part of a broader ‘Day Zero Week’ running from April 14–19, which will feature various rituals and celebrations across the island. Radhika Shares “Starry Eyes” Single And Details For Upcoming Debut Album

Scottish dream-pop artist Radhika has released her new single, “Starry Eyes,” marking her first digital release under the Glass Modern label. The track features guest contributions from Glasgow indie luminaries Gerard Love (formerly of Teenage Fanclub) and Mitch Mitchell of The Pastels. Originally issued as a limited-edition transparent green flexi-disc, the song serves as a preview of her forthcoming debut album, ‘CINE POP’, which is scheduled for release in May 2026. Inspired by her Indian heritage and the cinematic visions of David Lynch, Radhika’s sound has already garnered acclaim from BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley and fellow artists like Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian and Bilinda Butcher of My Bloody Valentine.

The inspiration for “Starry Eyes” came from a quiet moment Radhika shared with her grandmother, Soma, while looking through old family photographs. “This gentle intergenerational exchange was the starting point,” Radhika explains. “The words ‘your disintegration is a cosmic lullaby’ encapsulate the essence of the song, which explores the passing of souls into the next realm.” The project is a collaboration with Eric MacDonald and Radhika’s father, Sushil K. Dade (Future Pilot AKA), whom she credits for her deep connection to music and vast record collection. This personal and cultural thread runs through the track’s hazy melodies and intricate electronic arrangements.

Radhika will embark on a series of live dates in early 2026, featuring a notable collaboration with Paul Thomson, the original drummer for Franz Ferdinand. Thomson will join the band for several dates in London and Manchester alongside Gerard Love. The tour also includes two appearances at The Hangar at Paisley Arts Centre, where Radhika will share the stage with The Primevals in January and My Bloody Valentine’s Debbie Googe in late February. These shows mark a significant step for the Glaswegian singer-songwriter as she prepares for the full launch of ‘CINE POP’. Radhika notes, “My debut album ‘Cinepop’ [sic] will be released in May and I truly can’t wait for the world to hear it. It was an honour having some of my personal heroes featuring on some of the tracks.”

Performance artist and pop provocateur Peaches has released the title track and accompanying music video for her highly anticipated seventh studio album, ‘No Lube So Rude’. Scheduled for release on February 20, 2026, via Kill Rock Stars, the project marks her first full-length album in over a decade. The music video was produced in collaboration with award-winning erotic filmmaker Erika Lust and directed by Matt Lambert, featuring choreography by Constanza Macras. Filmed at the Queer Wagen Collective Marzipan in Berlin, the visual serves as a political statement against sexual repression, starring Peaches alongside several figures from the Berlin underground scene.

The 11-track album was recorded in Berlin with producer The Squirt Deluxe and is described as a brash blend of industrial, punk, and electronic dance music. Peaches has characterized the title as a reflection on modern friction, noting that in a world defined by tension, “lube isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity” for turning that friction into pleasure and power. Critics have already cited the upcoming release as one of the most anticipated of the year, highlighting its position at the intersection of the personal and the political.

On the day of the album’s release, Peaches will launch an extensive 27-date North American tour featuring support from Model/Actriz, Cortisa Star, and Pixel Grip. The tour has partnered with PLUS1 to donate one dollar from every ticket sold to the Trans Justice Funding Project, supporting grassroots trans-led organizations across the United States. Following the North American leg, Peaches will head to Europe and the United Kingdom in April for a series of shows, including a headline performance at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum on April 20, 2026. The live show will feature costume designs by Charlie Le Mindu, incorporating repurposed opera costumes and a vintage leather jacket belonging to the artist’s late sister.
