Gab De La Vega releases “No Cigar,” an acoustic reinterpretation of one of punk rock’s most enduring songs by Millencolin, reshaped through his stripped-back, heartfelt songwriting style. First introduced during solo sets and refined on tour, the new version captures the communal spirit of the original while highlighting a distinctly European perspective on punk, trading speed for sincerity without losing its emotional punch. Accompanied by a music video, the release follows Gab’s album Life Burns and arrives as he marks the 10th anniversary of Never Look Back with a special acoustic tour, reconnecting voice, guitar, and roots while breathing new life into a generation-defining anthem.
Puscifer Return With ‘Normal Isn’t’ And Announce Expansive 2026 North American Tour
Puscifer release ‘Normal Isn’t’, their first new album in over five years, out February 6 via Puscifer Entertainment, Alchemy Recordings, and BMG. The 11-song set leans hard into post-punk roots and darker, guitar-forward terrain, pulling from the band’s earliest influences while sharpening their edge. Written and recorded across Arizona, Los Angeles, and on the road during the Sessanta tour, the album blends biting electronics, raw guitar energy, and the band’s unmistakable sense of tension and release. Lead single “Self Evident” offers an early glimpse, captured live during a special Exchange L A performance where the band previewed the record in full.
This album marks a shift in process, with Maynard James Keenan building complete song ideas independently before bringing them to Mat Mitchell and Carina Round, opening the door to spontaneity and aggression. Mitchell’s co-production emphasizes grit and immediacy, while Round notes the freedom of ideas evolving without restraint. Contributions from Tony Levin, Danny Carey, and others deepen the record’s texture, reinforcing ‘Normal Isn’t’ as a statement shaped by observation, urgency, and atmosphere rather than polish.
Alongside the album, Puscifer have announced a wide-ranging 2026 North American tour, launching March 20 in Las Vegas and closing May 14 at Los Angeles’s Greek Theatre. The run includes major stops at New York’s Terminal 5 and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, bringing the new material into large rooms built for scale and immersion.

Wave Of The Flood Savors Everyday Love On Folk Single “Merlot”
Rising contemporary folk artist Wave Of The Flood shares her new single “Merlot,” a warmly observed meditation on love, compromise, and the quiet rituals that shape a life together. Written and performed by Lindsay Strachan, the song finds meaning in small differences and shared habits, framing intimacy through everyday moments rather than grand gestures. The lyric centers on learning, adapting, and choosing connection, allowing affection to surface through detail and honesty.
Produced by Kris Drever, with expressive fiddle lines from Dylan Cairns and the steady resonance of John McDonald’s double bass, “Merlot” unfolds with natural grace and clarity. The release marks the fifth chapter in Strachan’s year-long project of issuing a new single each month, a pace that mirrors her celebration of the classic 45rpm format. Grounded in acoustic textures and thoughtful storytelling, “Merlot” highlights how contemporary folk can honor tradition while speaking directly to modern relationships.
Circle The Cityy Confront Silence And Survival On ‘Incommunicado’ EP
Canadian alternative rock outfit Circle The Cityy step forward with ‘Incommunicado’, a four-song EP centered on emotional distance, fractured communication, and the aftermath of love under pressure. At its core sits lead single “Another Day,” a slow-burning and melodic reckoning with heartbreak and persistence, carried by aching vocal lines and a sense of forward motion earned rather than assumed. The song frames loss and survival side by side, turning isolation into momentum through restraint and clarity.
Across the EP, Circle The Cityy trace the push and pull of modern relationships, from the tension of “Animals” and the magnetic darkness of “Crave” to the inward focus of “In Rewind.” Drawing from their wide-ranging influences and rooted in their Ontario surroundings, the band blend alternative and indie rock with atmospheric weight and emotional detail. ‘Incommunicado’ presents a focused snapshot of a group willing to sit inside discomfort and shape it into something direct, human, and resonant.
The Wood Ignite “Cold Fire” With Brooke Combe On Soul-Drenched New EP Title Track
Liverpool duo The Wood return with “Cold Fire,” the title track from their new EP, out now via Riverdream Records. Joined by special guest Brooke Combe, the song opens on warm electric piano chords before settling into a slow-burning groove shaped by gospel harmonies, soul phrasing, and restrained momentum. Combe’s vocal sits front and center, direct and intimate, guiding the track through its simmering build while Alex Evans enters with a low-register delivery edged in grit and control.
Produced by Steve Powell and mastered by Pete Maher, the track reflects the duo’s ability to blend gospel, soul, jazz, and rock into something unforced and immediate. Recorded with a focus on performance and feel, “Cold Fire” continues the path The Wood established with earlier releases, pairing deep grooves with melodic clarity. The EP builds on a foundation laid by years of collaboration and shared history in Liverpool’s dockland studios, presenting a sound that moves confidently between styles while staying grounded in texture, rhythm, and emotional pull.
googly eyes Unleash “Made Of” With Tove Lo And Flume Future Pop Alchemy
Rising electronic pop auteur googly eyes returns with “Made Of,” the second release from a forthcoming collaborative project created entirely with Tove Lo and Flume. Co-written by all three, the track pushes further into sharp-edged, future-facing pop, balancing ambition, friction, and emotional exposure with sleek electronic precision. Directed by Maya Sassoon, the accompanying video mirrors the song’s intensity, giving visual form to its raw charge and restless motion.
The collaboration traces back to a 2023 open call from Tove Lo and Flume that drew thousands of submissions, with googly eyes emerging as the clear creative match. Since then, the partnership has produced “I Don’t Go Out” and now “Made Of,” both pointing toward a full collaborative EP ahead. Known for writing, producing, and shaping her own work end to end, googly eyes brings that self-built sensibility into this shared space, pairing glitchy textures and poetic instincts with the weight and clarity of seasoned collaborators. Released via Pretty Swede Records in collaboration with Neon Gold, “Made Of” sharpens her trajectory and expands her world without diluting its core.
Bootsy Collins Links With Buckethead And Victor Wooten On “Metal Health” Title Track
Funk pioneer Bootsy Collins has joined forces with Buckethead and Victor Wooten on “Metal Health,” the title track and first official single from his forthcoming album via Bootzilla Records and Roc Nation. The release marks the first direct collaboration between Bootsy and Buckethead, uniting three towering musicians in a hard-charging, psychedelic groove that fuses funk elasticity, rock firepower, and deep-pocket bass interplay. With additional contributions from Victor Wooten, Barbie T, Cob, and lead engineer Tobe, the track moves with authority and imagination.
“Metal Health” places its focus squarely on mental well-being, especially within creative communities, channeling intensity into something restorative and communal. Bootsy continues his long tradition of turning music into a vehicle for awareness, pairing cosmic sound design with a clear-eyed message that mental health deserves attention, care, and openness. Decades into a career that spans James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, and generations of collaborators, Bootsy’s voice remains direct and vital, using groove, connection, and shared experience as tools for grounding and healing.
