Rising LA-based Americana-rock band American Mile returns with their most emotionally resonant single yet, “Waiting on a Sunday. ” This stirring ballad about a single mother’s fight to keep her family afloat is from their sophomore album American Dream, out now.
Blending heartfelt lyrics with soaring melodies and rich instrumentation, the song captures the quiet desperation of a woman doing everything she can to feed her children and hold on to hope. “Waiting on a Sunday” is a stellar showcase of American Mile’s gift for storytelling-raw, honest, and deeply human.
The band intended to write something that felt real-something that could be someone’s truth. This song is about when you feel like you’ve tried everything, and all that’s left is to believe in something better, even if it never comes. Will that Sunday ever come? We may never know. But for the woman at the heart of the story, hope lies just beyond the horizon. American Mile comprises four seasoned Los Angeles-based studio and touring musicians who, like many Los Angeles-based creatives, flocked to the city of angels from small towns to pursue their dreams. With roots deep in classic rock and country, their music is simultaneously nostalgic and unmistakably current, resonating with fans across generations. The band fuses Americana, rock, and soul with cinematic songwriting and powerhouse vocals, hitting those sweet spots that blend heavy-hitting riffs with soulful lyrics that have earned them comparisons to The Black Crowes, The Brothers Osborne, and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, among others.
For the last two decades, GRAMMY-winning quintet The SteelDrivers have had a pretty simple process of whittling down songs to record for their new albums: Do we all like them? Do they have that SteelDrivers sound? With their new single, “Booze and Cigarettes”-the latest from Outrun, the band’s upcoming album on the legendary Sun Records-the choice was a no-brainer. Like most SteelDrivers songs, there’s a good time layer to their Bluegrass Americana styling with a slight tinge of something deeper at play. But make no mistake, it’s a catchy number that will be stuck in listeners’ heads well after the first listen.
“I stop by right around 5 almost every day / I work close by and this little dive keeps calling out my name,” sings SteelDrivers guitarist Matt Dame to set the scene. “I can’t say I’m a regular, I ain’t quite there yet / I’m just here for the booze and cigarettes.” The walking bass line and chugging mandolin wind their way around a bluesy arrangement. Fiddle and banjo dance over the top leading into the song’s chorus, putting a little dark spin on the dive bar aesthetic: “The booze goes down easy / And the smoke calms my nerves / It’s like nobody sees me / Sitting here all alone getting just what I deserve.” “I wrote this one about seven or eight years ago with Verlon Thompson,” says SteelDrivers fiddler, Tammy Rogers. “That’s the great thing about songs…they don’t have an expiration date!”
“Booze and Cigarettes” is the latest single from Outrun, which is due out on May 23rd. Outrun features the classic, blues-infused bluegrass sound the band has been known for for two decades now, freewheeling and fun, rich with stories and singalongs alike. Beyond the ever-evolving musical nature of The SteelDrivers, this seamless ebb and flow between intricate bluegrass and the hardscrabble blues, another key element of Outrun is this underlying tribute to late founding member Mike Henderson. And though Henderson passed away in 2023, his memory and presence is still profoundly felt by the group, onstage and in the studio.
Indie singer/songwriter Trevor Sensor teases his new album A Few Tears of Eros with the bluesy rocker “The Farm” out today on High Black Desert Records. The single and accompanying video premiered earlier this week on Under The Radar: “…his reedy Dylan-esque croon… bar-burning guitar solo… draws out all of the ambient tension, fury and frustration churning away in the track, fully letting loose in a climatic storm of unbridled emotion.”
“The song came to me while I was working in a field. It was mid-summer, the sun was hot, and I’d been digging holes since morning. I looked around and thought, ‘How’d I end up working on the farm?’, explains Trevor. “I’d probably made a couple of wrong turns way back when to end up here-following my dream too blindly. Nevertheless, here I was and still am.”
The video for “The Farm,” filmed by friend Ryan Ohm, captures Trevor in his element, “me in my corner with the desolation which surrounds it.” This is not an homage to the past but rather an acknowledgment to the meanness of plebeian existence. The only nourishment here is for the spirit-hope is a novel concept. “One time, when I was out of work, I went to a temp agency tucked in a dilapidated strip mall. I told the man there my story, and after I’d finished he said, ‘Well, we’ll see what we can do. We’re not really used to people with dreams around here.’ I think that about sums it all up.”
“The Farm” is the first single from his fourth album, A Few Tears of Eros, an exploration of modern love in a dejected and atomized world that looks at the in between. “A lot of songs I hear deal with beginnings or aftermaths of romance… what lurks beneath the surface of happily-ever-after is what interests me.”
A Few Tears of Eros will be released August 8, 2025 on High Black Desert Records.
Mississippi rebel Colin Stough returns today with his hard-edged new anthem, “White Trash”-out now. Co-written by Stough, Jamie Collazo, and Kenny Whitmire, and produced by James LeBlanc and Phillip White, “White Trash” is a battle cry for the outcast – fueled by conviction and delivered with a devilish grin.
Driven by raw vocals and a defiant country-rock swagger, the unapologetic declaration finds Stough doing what he does best: stripping away pretenses and leaning full-tilt into every scar, setback, and stereotype with pride. Written and recorded in January, “White Trash” delivers on all fronts.
“I grew up on the ‘other side of town’ with the rest of the outcasts,” Stough says. “It used to hurt when my mom and I would get called white trash; I think this is my way of reclaiming that. I love where I come from; if that’s white trash, I’ll own it.”

After teasing the record on a critically acclaimed viral stream with DDG, BIA has delivered her hotly coveted new single, “WE ON GO,” featuring production from Honorable C.N.O.T.E.. The new song marks BIA’s first official release of the year, and her first drop following a scintillating 2024 campaign that saw her reach new career heights.
“We On Go” is a tenacious new anthem from BIA, who has a lot to be triumphant about. BIA generates a high-octane atmosphere with her new single, dishing out a harsh lambasting to anything that stands in her way. “These h*es watch me on replay, on replay just like it’s a reel,” she raps. “You know I stay real.”
Once again ESPN, known as the “worldwide leader in sports,” has taken stock of BIA’s unrelenting energy and channeled it, as “WE ON GO” has provided the soundtrack for marquee WNBA and NCAA Women’s Final Four broadcasts dating back to April. With its resounding, arena-like echoes and booming baseline, “WE ON GO” continues to be a seamless sync for the globally influential network.
BIA came into 2025 smoking hot, and it’s easy to see why. In 2024, the proud Massachusetts native toured in support of Nicki Minaj on one of the highest-grossing tours in Hip Hop history, The Pink Friday 2 World Tour. BIA was also featured on the soundtrack to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s blockbuster Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and to start this calendar year she was featured in renowned filmmaker and director Spike Jonze’s Apple Airpod promo, thanks to a sync of her 2019 standout collaboration with Sam i, “Perfect.”
The multi-platinum rapper’s diligence has elevated her in a variety of facets, and her heightened profile is paying dividends. Last month, BIA was a surprise guest at none other than Coachella, on behalf of beloved Los Angeles-based rap group Shoreline Mafia. Her appearance was instantly buzzworthy, and has generated tens-of-thousands of views across social media.
BIA’s intentional ascent has been a marvel to observe, and as she kicks things into another gear, she’d like you all to know… “WE ON GO.”

“Burning Blue” marks the start of a new chapter for Mariah, who has been working on new music which will soon be ready for the world via her fourth studio album. She’s been announced as a performer at some of the biggest festivals in the country this summer, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza and New York City’s Governors Ball, and she’s begun previewing what’s to come.
“[My] new project, that has taken many nights to put together, but it’s done,” Mariah teased on Billboard Women in Music 2025 red carpet last month in Los Angeles. “So, I’m excited to put it out.” During the event, Mariah filmed an official tease of “Burning Blue” that has eclipsed the coveted one-million view mark on TikTok.
Mariah’s unapologetic emotional expression has endeared her to millions of fans worldwide, who trust that with her music comes a level of transparency not often seen in mainstream stars. “Making music is like exploiting your trauma,” she says of her brutally honest songwriting.

Since joining Epic Records in 2023, Mariah’s momentum has skyrocketed thanks in large part to the release of her third studio album and first with the label, To Be Eaten Alive (2023), which catapulted Mariah to her first-ever Billboard 200 debut, as well as a Top 50 placement on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart.
The resulting tour, The To Be Eaten Alive Tour, completely sold-out all 41 of its domestic and international dates. The lead single from To Be Eaten Alive, “From A Woman,” has just been certified RIAA Gold, while her viral hit “Spread Thin,” has just elevated to RIAA Double Platinum – affirming Mariah’s very tangible stardom.

Berlin-based DJ and producer HoneyLuv, returns with a captivating and energetic new single “Dancehall” – a brilliant portrait of ecstasy, celebrating movement and expression. Setting the tone for an epic season ahead, the vibrant new single is available now.
Bold from the onset, “Dancehall” instantly drives listeners to the dancefloor – the buoyant beat fuses Latin pop and Afrobeats into an anthemic dance track. After her vocals have appeared on remixes in the past, this track marks the first time she’s singing on one of her own. Her velvety-rich vocals are layered over a lush bed of bouncing reggaeton-inspired rhythm, carefully designed to make hips sway, shoulders roll and feet refuse to stop moving. Creating an irresistible soundscape, HoneyLuv’s intoxicating beat draws listeners deep into her groove-filled realm where they are free to shake off every ounce of restraint as the track beams with color, movement and pure kinetic joy.
Refreshingly exuberant, “Dancehall” fosters camaraderie and connection, cultivating a space where listeners can immerse themselves in the beat and get lost in its reverie. Demonstrating her versatility and adaptability, the track arrives as a powerful assertion of HoneyLuv’s spirit: bright, bold and undeniably danceable.
HoneyLuv shares, “‘Dancehall’ came to life one night in my London flat; I was just vibing, mixing house with the dancehall and reggae I’d been into lately. Took it to the studio with the crew, and we knew we had something special. I’m counting down the days until you can finally vibe to it in full.”
A groove-obsessed powerhouse with boundless energy and a flair for flipping the script, HoneyLuv spins every record she plays into pure magic. With a spirit as bouncy as her productions and razor-sharp instincts, she transforms bumping passlines and funky rhythms into ecstatic dance-floor-ready journeys. The undeniable, self-taught talent was catapulted onto the scene in 2023 when she was crowned BBC Radio 1’s Future Star by Danny Howard, and she hasn’t slowed down since.
With a knack for captivating audiences through her dynamic performances and distinctive sound, HoneyLuv has proven she can rise to any occasion. The past few years have seen her conquer iconic stages like Coachella, Ultra Music Festival Miami, and Cercle Festival, play alongside music heavyweights including The Martinez Brothers, Idris Elba and Kevin Saunderson, and release vibrant collaborations with artists like Seth Troxler, Annie Mac, Muni Long and Jaden Thompson.
As she continues to overhaul the scene and command global attention with her radiating charm and playful ability to connect with audiences of all sizes, HoneyLuv isn’t just shaking up the scene – she’s owning it. Remixing the rules through her bold, feel-good and fiercely feminine lens, leaving an indelible mark on the scene as she charges ahead on her full-throttle ascent to the top.
Los Angeles-based band The Manic Standstill is back with their powerful new single, “Bulletproof” – a song that came together with striking speed and intensity. Inspired by a casual challenge, vocalist and songwriter Adam Bones (known for his work with Save Ferris, Richie Ramone, Josie Cotton, The Two Tens) asked his wife, Megan, a true crime enthusiast and talented writer, if she could pen lyrics rooted in the genre. To his surprise, fully written lyrics appeared in his inbox the very next day.
“I was so excited and inspired by these incredible words that the music just poured out of me – I must have written the music in about five minutes,” he says. Megan later revealed that her lyrics were loosely based on the harrowing true story of Mary Vincent, a survivor of a brutal attack and an enduring symbol of resilience.
Following the success of their debut single, “Reasons Why,” “Bulletproof” was once again recorded and produced by Davey Warsop at Strong Studios. The track features the dynamic talents of Aixa Vilar (drums) and Michelle Rangel (bass) from the iconic punk band Go Betty Go, adding even more energy and urgency to the song’s message of strength.
The vibrant music video for “Bulletproof” was brought to life by Nicolette Vilar, lead singer of Go Betty Go, who also directed and conceptualized the project.
“I had seen Nicolette’s incredible video work for Go Betty Go and was blown away,” says Bones. “I asked if she’d be interested in making a video for us, and she came up with an amazing, colorful, and creative vision. We trusted her completely – and she absolutely delivered.”
Vilar says, “It was a pleasure working with The Manic Standstill on this very fun music video. The concept came to me when listening to the chorus of the song and knowing how tall everyone in the band is. I played with the surreal idea of a woman who goes from being tiny to crazy tall. I’m also inspired by the colors I see out in the California desert. I had a lot of fun directing the band and putting it all together in post.”
Bones adds, “At the time the video for ‘Bulletproof’ was conceptualized and shot, we had already established the core lineup of The Manic Standstill: Adam Bones, Eddy Hewitt, and Brad Dickert. Unlike the ‘Reasons Why’ video, which featured an ensemble of musicians, ‘Bulletproof’ proudly introduces and highlights the band’s official trio for the very first time.”
“Bulletproof” will appear on the band’s upcoming album, set to drop later this year via Wiretap Records/Double Helix.
*Featured guests on the upcoming LP ‘Moving’ include: Ian Fowles (The Aquabats) Kevin Preston (Prima Donna) Kody Templeman (Teenage Bottlerocket, The Lillingtons) Nicolette Vilar (Go Betty Go) Aixa Vilar (Go Betty Go) Michelle Rangel (Go Betty Go) Jonah Nimoy, Kelly Ogden & Luis Cabezas (The Dollyrots) Drew Champion (Suzi Moon) Paul Roessler (The Screamers) Packy Lundholm (I Fight Dragons) “Lights Out” Levine (Prima Donna) “Little” Dave Parker (Billy Liar, Johnny Madcap & the Distractions) Ari Shineplus Production by Davey Warsop.
