NEEDTOBREATHE Announces ‘The Barely Elegant Acoustic Tour 2025’

0

Known for “delivering a passion through their music that leaves their fans feeling like they’ve just climbed down from a mountain” (Forbes), GRAMMY-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE is set to bring an unforgettable, intimate experience to 18 U.S. cities this fall with The Barely Elegant Acoustic Tour 2025.

Their live set, described as a “mesmerizing show for any music lover” (Loud Hailer Magazine), will also be lighting up stages this summer at the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, Gulf Coast Jam, York State Fair, and more.

Aidan Bissett Releases ‘2 much 2 handle’ and Announces North American Tour

0

Breakout indie-pop artist Aidan Bissett releases rollicking new single “2 much 2 handle,” a dedication to the thrill of burgeoning infatuation. The genre-blurring track is the latest taste of the rising singer-songwriter’s debut album shut up and love me, announced yesterday via social media, out now.

Exploring the almost physically painful anticipation that accompanies a new connection, Bissett experiments with tempo and tone on “2 much 2 handle.” “On the table I was kissing your mouth, was it too much to handle?” he asks over jaunty piano and driving drums. “Told your daddy that I slept on the couch, but he’s smart enough to figure it out.”

“This one feels like a stop-and-go rollercoaster,” says Bissett. “It captures the feeling of hitting your highest peaks and your lowest lows. It’s about anticipation – you’re going up and up, but the fall never happens.” That sense of suspended reality is reflected in the visualizer, which finds Bissett walking on a conveyor belt while people pass him by.

Bissett has revealed two additional shut up and love me singles to date: “ricochet,” a subtly infectious song about toxic relationships; and the bursting, new wave-inflected “are we in love yet?”

In addition to today’s announcements, Aidan has revealed his upcoming headlining tour across North America in support of shut up and love me kicking off on September 14th in San Diego, CA and closing on October 22nd in Los Angeles at The Fonda Theatre. David Guetta Drops ‘The Final Countdown 2025’ with Europe and Hypaton

0

ed his explosive new single, “The Final Countdown 2025,” a remix of Europe’s 1986 original by the same name, written by Europe’s Joey Tempest. For the remix, Guetta brought in his protege, Hypaton, and the original artist Europe, to feature on the hotly-coveted record.

Fan anticipation skyrocketed after Guetta’s heralded performance at last year’s world-renowned music festival Tomorrowland in Belgium, and today the clamoring can cease.

Guetta, an icon of the DJ and live performance world, allowed the magic of collaboration to lead the creation of “The Final Countdown” as he’s done for much of his brilliant career. In this instance, Guetta’s protege, Hypaton, planted the idea that led to the flow of energy that became “The Final Countdown,” and the harmonious relationship between Guetta and Europe, particularly Joey, was instrumental in bringing the record to the finish line.

Guetta and Hypaton collaborations come with a pre-stated reputation: their previous work, 2023’s “be my lover,” has generated over 300 million streams.

The lore of “The Final Countdown” has reached rare levels for a previously unreleased song. Fans have watched teases and previews of the record millions of times on various social media and streaming platforms, from TikTok to YouTube, earning the song an almost-mythical status. Tomorrowland in particular tells the story. Guetta, as he prepared to close last year’s show, began to play the record for a sprawling and awe-inspiring crowd of roughly 100,000 people. They screamed in glee at the momentous occasion. “Final Countdown” is firmly already in “instant classic” territory.

“We made a remix of one of the most epic songs in history called ‘Final Countdown’ from Europe, and we’ve been playing it for a year and it’s been so incredibly successful in our sets,” Guetta said of his electrifying new release in an exclusive statement. “So we decided to clear the sample, and it’s finally happening. ‘The Final Countdown’ with Europe, David Guetta, Hypaton, is coming out. Be ready.”

Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan Reunite for Nostalgic Punk Anthem “Young & Dumb” Ahead of Greatest Hits Tour

0

Diamond-certified global superstar Avril Lavigne released a perfectly raucous new song and music video for “Young & Dumb” featuring Simple Plan. A nostalgic yet modern anthem, “Young & Dumb” first finds Avril reflective on verse one as she looks back on the carefree early days of her career and ‘livin’ like a rockstar’ before Simple Plan jumps ’20 years later’ to present day in verse two and details how ‘somehow it feels like nothing’s changed.’

The video echoes the song’s sentiment and celebrates life on the road as it cuts between scenes of Avril and Simple Plan ‘trashin’ hotel rooms,’ a punk performance in an empty pool, and partying on the tour bus.

Avril announced the song Monday with a heartfelt social media post, reflecting on its meaning and origins, and dedicating it to fans: “This is such a full-circle moment. Not only did Simple Plan tour with me last year on the Greatest Hits Tour, but we also toured together in 2003 on my very first arena tour. We were so young – just a bunch of kids from small towns in Canada who had just released our debut albums. We connected instantly and became friends. A few months ago, I called them up, and we got together in the studio to write ‘Young & Dumb.’ We wanted to capture that special time in our lives – when everything was new, and we were chasing our dreams. This song is for our fans. It’s a tribute to the past, but also a celebration of the present. In our hearts, we’re still those same kids, and our love for music hasn’t changed. It’s about friendship, nostalgia, and the way music has kept us connected through the years. I can’t wait to share it with you live this summer.”

“We’re so excited to finally release a song with our good friend Avril,” said Simple Plan. “After years of touring and hanging out together, getting in the studio to work on this track was such a cool experience. She’s incredibly talented, and we’re truly grateful she invited us to be part of it and help bring the song to life. The lyrics speak to the special bond we’ve shared since we first toured together back in 2003. We became friends right away, and what’s amazing is how that friendship has only grown stronger over the years. So many of our fans have been asking for this collab for a long time, and we really hope they love ‘Young and Dumb’ as much as we do. We can’t wait to hit the road again on the Greatest Hits Tour this summer and play it live every night-it’s going to be a blast!”

“Young & Dumb” comes just before the 2025 extension of her highly successful, sold-out North American Greatest Hits Tour launches and will again see Avril perform her biggest songs to-date including the RIAA 3x platinum-certified “Complicated,” the 2x platinum-certified “Sk8er Boi,” the 2x platinum-certified “Girlfriend,” the platinum-certified “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” and many more from her record-breaking catalog.
