Twin Duo THE KB Drop Cathartic New Single “Not Happy 4 U” About Letting Go

Twin brothers Kane and Kyle Benner, known as THE KB, are back again in 2025 with their latest single, “Not Happy 4 U.” The song features a deep bass groove that carries the entire track and gives it a gripping vibe, fit for a film—with a rich vocals and a sincere character.

“Not Happy 4 U” is about walking away from a bad relationship—not just a breakup, but any relationship. “It’s about Letting go, whether it’s with a friend, lover, companion, or family member, when you realize that relationship is toxic or hateful.” The song is about that moment of realization when someone’s negativity is dragging you down and you choose to step away. The repeated line “I’m not happy for you / When you need me I won’t be around” makes that message clear.

THE KB say the song was like therapy for them. “We’ve written and released songs in the past couple years that, looking back, felt like therapy for us, and felt like it taught us about how to grow up and deal with tough situations in life. I think ‘Not Happy 4 U’ is another one of those songs.” The brothers wanted to write something honest that others could relate to. “Not Happy 4 U” is for anyone tired of trying to fix relationships that aren’t worth saving.

With influences from bands like Twenty One Pilots and The 1975, THE KB continue to make pop music with an authentic message—something their fans call “pop music for sad people.” This track is another step in that journey of continuing to create music that connects.

This follow-up from his previous singles “How Rain Dances” and the acclaimed “When They Come Out At Night” double single signals a departure from Cestari’s jazz styling.

Embracing the sounds of noise rock and alternative, while still bringing his signature pianism and lyricism, this new approach is the beginning of a new era for the eclectic artist. In this most recent development, Cestari is shifting deeper into the darkness of Gen Z life, further exploring his own identity such as everyone else around him, and while doing so, remaining as unapologetic as ever.

‘Catherine’ came about from an interaction I had while going out about a year ago, where someone I met in the East Village couldn’t figure out where they were, they were completely helpless, yet all they wanted to do was to go to a particular club, that everything will be fine once they walk into the crowd. Writing the song itself was incredibly efficient. I don’t know if the personal experience coupled with everything else that was going on around me made it easy to articulate everything into a song, but something different was in the air at that time.”

Unbound from all expectations, Cestari takes unyielding individualism to a new level. With his newfound take on experimental alternative, Cestari has found a place for himself in the New York scene and has gained international recognition for his flooring yet intimate performances and lyricism. High on Fire Announce ‘Cometh the Storm’ Headlining Tour Across North America and Europe

Iconic U.S. rock band High on Fire has announced a North American headlining tour in support of its celebrated LP, Cometh the Storm. In the midst of sold-out summer dates alongside Acid Bath, the GRAMMY Award-winning group details an autumn headliner run that will launch on September 17th in Vancouver, BC. The tour is scheduled to run through September 30th in San Jose, CA and will feature support from Charger and Bastardane. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

Additionally, High on Fire has been announced as one of the spotlight acts of Sacramento, CA’s four-day Aftershock Festival, performing on October 2nd.

ountry artist Remington Cartee is back with his first release of the year. The new single “Bill Dance” is a feel-good, radio-ready country song that sounds like a night out in Nashville—full of energy, with a big singalong chorus.

Born and raised in the Carolinas, Cartee’s southern roots are on display throughout his catalog, and “Bill Dance” is no exception. Origami Ghosts Unveil Soulful New Single “Washboard Mind” Ahead of Album ‘A Fine Time to Talk About Nothing’

Without all of the hard times, where would we get songs as joyous as Origami Ghosts’ “Washboard Mind?” Tough times may not be any fun to go through, but boy, do they ever fire up the kiln of creativity. The indie rock band is back with their latest single, a classic folk meets modern indie kind of sound. The song was inspired by a time that was very personal to frontman JP Scesniak. He was living in Paris, which sounds very romantic and all. But actually, Scesniak was living as a poor troubadour, with very little money, and even less direction.

These circumstances can’t help but negatively influence your state of mind and your relationship with others. But even in the midst of such hardship, Scesniak felt determined to continue to give his all to his partner. He made due what what we had, while remaining supremely focused on his significant other.

The release of “Washboard Mind” comes ahead of Origami Ghosts’ brand new album A Fine Time to Talk About Nothing. Coming out next week on August 8th, the album is a glorious helping of jangly folk-pop. It has a very international flavour, as evidenced by where it was written. The record was composed in small doses while touring through Europe and the United States. Parts of it were also written while Scesniak was in Paris, as well as the time he spent in Seattle and Austin. Precipitated by its international flair, the album embraces a sense of adventure and exploration. Primarily composed in a very curious state of mind, the songs delve into themes such as love, death, intimacy, drugs, counterculture, and new technology.

The album has a very personal touch as well. With all of these other things happening in Scesniak’s life, what’s more is that he had a full-fledged near-death experience when he suffered a stroke. He tries to make sense of this experience on the album track “Heaven’s Gate.” Having to go through this really scared him straight and convinced him to get off alcohol and any cannabis use.

As is becoming clear, A Fine Time to Talk About Nothing is about as private as an album can be. As a songwriter and bandleader, there’s no sugarcoating it when it comes to JP Scesniak.

The Academy of Country Music has revealed the first round of performers for the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors, which includes nine-time ACM Award winner and three-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan, four-time ACM Award nominee Russell Dickerson, eight-time ACM Award winner Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, multi-platinum and Grammy-winning gospel artist Amy Grant, three-time ACM Award winner Ashley McBryde, and four-time ACM Award winner Carly Pearce. Performers will take the stage to celebrate this year’s honorees, Lori Badgett, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jessie Jo Dillon, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Mac McAnally, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis, Twisters, Ben Vaughn, and Lainey Wilson.

ACM Honors will take place Wednesday, August 20th at The Pinnacle, located at Nashville Yards, with Pearce hosting for the fifth consecutive year, joined by first-time ACM Honors host Dickerson.

Additional performers, presenters, and event details will be announced.

One805 has announced that Sammy Hagar, Kevin Cronin, Good Charlotte, Trisha Yearwood, Donavon Frankenreiter, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, and former Guns N Roses drummer Matt Sorum will headline the One805Live 2025: Rock for First Responders concert. The event takes place on Saturday, September 20th at Kevin Costner’s Santa Barbara oceanside estate.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit first responders across Santa Barbara County. In addition, this year, a portion of the proceeds will support musicians from Altadena who lost everything in recent wildfires.

“One805LIVE! isn’t just a concert — it’s a powerful act of community,” states Kirsten Cavendish Weston-Smith, CEO of One805. “Together, we’re making a difference — one song, one first responder, one unforgettable night at a time.”

Tickets are on sale now for general admission, VIP, and cabanas at One805.org. One805 is a 501 (c)(3),and all tickets have a tax-deductible component.
