Sunshine, the new album from much-lauded British bandĀ Jungle, is set for release onĀ August 14Ā viaĀ AWALāpre-save/pre-orderĀ here. A new song, āCarry On,ā is out todayālistenĀ here. The track, which debuted this morning asĀ BBC Radio 1āsĀ Hottest Record, featuresĀ Lydia Kittoās vocals at its emotional core alongside founders, songwriters and producersĀ Josh Lloyd-WatsonĀ andĀ Tom McFarlandās signature production.
In support of the album, Jungle will embark on a global headline tour with stops across North America, the U.K. and Europe this fall, with an Australia run to follow in March 2027. Tickets are on sale to the public starting March 27, with artist presale beginning March 26. Jungle is using Ticketmasterās Face Value Exchange to help fans get tickets at the original price. Tickets can only be resold on Ticketmaster at face value. In states where laws prevent resale restrictions, Ticketmaster will still honor Jungleās terms by keeping resale prices at face value on its site.
Sunshine follows the bandās critically acclaimed 2023 LPĀ Volcano, called āunstoppableā and a ātimeless classicā by NPR.Ā VolcanoĀ saw the band receive widespread praise and tour the world in its wake, as well as the runaway success of Platinum single āBack On 74,ā which took the world by storm upon release.
The album will be released in unique physical formats, including black 180g single gatefold LP, Desert Peach single gatefold LP, translucent brown marble single gatefold LP and digipak CD.
Jungle, whose live performances were praised as a āperfectā¦come-as-you-are partyā byĀ Variety, will look to bring their signature show to an ever-wider audience, having played for over 190,000 people on their previous global tour in 2023 and 2024.
Jungle was founded by Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who met at the age of 10 in West Londonās Shepherdās Bush. They began making music together at the beginning of 2013, choosing to put the aesthetic emphasis on the musicās surrounding artwork and videos rather than on their own identities. The production and songwriting duo has since expanded, welcoming vocalist and producer Lydia Kitto to the group as a permanent member in 2023.
Jungleās acclaimed 2014 self-titled debut album was a Mercury Prize nominee and is now Gold-certified while their lauded 2018 follow-up,Ā For Ever, reached #10 on the UK Albums Chart. In addition, their 2021 album,Ā Loving In Stereo,Ā debuted at #1 onĀ Billboardās Current Electronic Albums chart while also peaking at #3 on Independent Albums, #4 on Current Rock Albums and #6 on Current Alternative Albums charts. Their fourth album,Ā Volcano, continued their commercial and critical success, peaking at #3 on the UK Albums Chart as well as earning the band a BRIT Award for Group of the Year. Theyāve performed on five continents, headlining venues both stateside and abroad while performing at major music festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.
