Christopher Cross Charts His Golden Era On ‘All Right The Worldwide Singles 1980 1988’

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Christopher Cross has unveiled ‘All Right The Worldwide Singles 1980 1988,’ the first-ever collection bringing together every domestic and international A-side from his defining first decade. Out now via Omnivore Recordings and Seeker Music, the set presents the songs as they were originally heard on radio, complete with single edits and remixes. The double-LP features 20 A-sides on translucent pink and green vinyl, while the double-CD adds 11 B-sides, with a digital edition expanding the tracklist to 30 songs, including several previously unavailable on streaming platforms.

Spanning era-defining hits like “Ride Like The Wind,” “Sailing,” “Arthur’s Theme Best That You Can Do,” “All Right,” and “Think Of Laura,” the collection traces Cross’ run of chart dominance, landmark awards, and cultural saturation across film, television, and radio. Produced by Cheryl Pawelski and Brad Rosenberger and remastered by Michael Graves, the set is rounded out with liner notes by Garrett Price, director of HBO’s Yacht Rock A Dockumentary. ‘All Right The Worldwide Singles 1980 1988’ captures a whirlwind stretch of melodic craft, studio precision, and songwriting clarity that left a permanent mark on pop music.

Colorado jamgrass legends Leftover Salmon have announced their Winter and Spring Tour 2026, bringing their Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass sound across an ambitious stretch of dates that runs from Alaska to Hawaii. The tour opens January 9 and 10 at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood before winding through the Southwest, Southeast, and Midwest, mixing theaters, ballrooms, and beloved dance floors along the way. Stops include Charleston Music Hall, Haw River Ballroom, Garcia’s in Chicago, and a Texas run through Dallas, Austin, and Gruene Hall.

The road circles back to Colorado for WinterWonderGrass Steamboat Springs from February 27 through March 1, before closing with a three-night Hawaiian finale in Kilauea this April. Led by Vince Herman and Drew Emmitt, Leftover Salmon continue a decades-long run built on joy, spontaneity, and deep musical chemistry, blending bluegrass, Cajun, rock, country, and improvisation into shows that thrive on shared energy. Bertrand traces a long-running struggle over southern identity, showing how music both reinforced and challenged white supremacy as the region wrestled with race, class, and change. Rock ’n’ roll emerges as a working-class, biracial form that heightened racial anxieties while cutting across entrenched cultural lines, culminating in a close examination of Elvis Presley’s popularity within a segregated society. By treating music as an active participant in history, the book reframes how cultural expression intersects with power, resistance, and social transformation.
