Charli xcx Releases “Chains Of Love” From ‘Wuthering Heights’ Soundtrack Album

0

Charli xcx has released “Chains Of Love”, which will feature on her new album ‘Wuthering Heights’, written for Emerald Fennel’s highly anticipated forthcoming feature film from Warner Bros. Pictures, only in theatres February 13, 2026. The album will be released Friday, February 13 via Atlantic Records. “Chains Of Love” features in the “Wuthering Heights” official trailer. Earlier this week, Charli unveiled the first taste of the album featuring The Velvet Underground’s John Cale with “House”.

A bold and original imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennel’s “Wuthering Heights” stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness. The soundtrack marks a significant creative collaboration between Charli and Fennel, capturing the intensity and darkness of the classic story through contemporary sonic landscapes.

Early next year, Charli will star in A24’s ‘The Moment’. Based on an original idea by Charli and directed by Aidan Zamiri, the film is the first co-production from her new studio365 venture. In addition, Charli will star in Daniel Goldhaber’s remake of 1978 cult horror ‘Faces of Death’, Greg Araki’s erotic thriller ‘I Want Your Sex’, Cathy Yan’s upcoming independent film ‘The Gallerist’, Julia Jackman’s period fantasy ‘100 Nights Of Hero’, Romain Gavras’ satirical action ‘Sacrifice’ and Pete Ohs’ intimate drama ‘Erupcja’.

The Power Station Celebrate 40th Anniversary With Deluxe Reissue Featuring Unreleased Philadelphia Concert

0

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of both The Power Station and their eponymous debut album, 4CD and 2LP’s sets are out now.

The 4CD set comes in clamshell packaging with a 12 page booklet containing a brand new interview with John Taylor and Andy Taylor with esteemed music writer John Earls. Disc one contains the remastered album, disc two single remixes, raw instrumentals taken from the original studio sessions and recordings from their Live Aid performance. Disc three and four are an unreleased live set from The Spectrum in Philadelphia on 21 August 1985 that has been remixed by Richard Whittaker.

The 2LP is on recycled black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve and contains the brand new remastered version of the original album alongside single remixes and the band’s performance from Live Aid.

John Taylor – “It’s been so exciting to dive back into the Power Station project after all these years. We were an unusual crew, but we made a fantastic noise. Tony Thompson, the disco “clock” behind so many massive hits, turned out to be one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. Andy Taylor, my Duran Duran bandmate, was absolutely on fire. Robert Palmer (why isn’t this man in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?) was a brilliant songwriter, sonic stylist, and vocal powerhouse. And yours truly – just trying to keep up.

“It was a truly unique experience, and I’m proud of the work we created. I’m also super happy with this re-issue edition, which has been beautifully remastered with bonus tracks added, and a perfect refresh of the iconic artwork.”

The Power Station were a phenomenon of the mid-1980’s. They were initially formed in 1984 as a one-off project by Andy Taylor and John Taylor of Duran Duran to record a cover of T. Rex’s ‘Get It On’ with model and singer Bebe Buell. Enjoying the process of exploring a more rock sound, while chiming with the funkier drumming of CHIC’s Tony Thompson, they came up with the concept of the group having a revolving singer.

Robert Palmer was invited to perform on ‘Communication’, after which he asked if he could add his vocals to ‘Get It On’. Palmer’s involvement soon put paid to that initial idea of revolving singers. They would go on to write and record their self-titled debut album, naming themselves after the studio in which they were working in New York. It was produced by Bernard Edwards of CHIC with informal assistance from Nile Rodgers.

Considering the band’s foundations and its initial intentions, their success came as quickly as it did unexpectedly! The album was released in March 1985, charting at 12 in the UK and six in the US album charts. Its first two singles ‘Some Like It Hot’ and ‘Get It On’ reached 14 and 22 on the UK Singles Chart and six and nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 respectively.

Robert Palmer would only perform with the band live once (‘Saturday Night Live’, 16 February 1985) and would leave the band shortly after the album came out. They toured with Michael Des Barres who also performed with them for Live Aid (the recordings of which appear in both sets). Later that year the band would disband with Palmer releasing his seminal album ’Riptide’, John Taylor returning to Duran Duran and Andy Taylor pursuing a solo career. Tony Thompson remained an in demand drummer playing with Jody Watley, Madonna, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin and David Bowie among others. Bernard Edwards would go on to be a renowned producer having also produced ‘Riptide’ he would also work with Diana Ross, Adam Ant, Rod Stewart, Jody Watley, Grayson Hugh, Air Supply, ABC and Duran Duran.

Gong Return With Kaleidoscopic New Single “Stars In Heaven” From Upcoming Album ‘Bright Spirit’

0

Legendary psych outfit Gong has returned with new single “Stars In Heaven” alongside a brand new music video created by Drain Hope. The band has also teased the release of their new album which fans will see in 2026 and shared the album’s name: ‘Bright Spirit’. “It’s such an eclectic record,” says singer and guitarist Kavus Torabi. “This is the most colourful and kaleidoscopic album so far from this incarnation of the band. There are Eastern-infused epics, long instrumental jazz-inspired sections, meditative and cosmic detours and blistering, incendiary psychedelic rock. When picking the first song to be released, it has felt as if there’s an extra weight on the choice, as if the song somehow has to represent the whole album.”

Lyrically it expands on the idea that the world is as you are. “If you are a cynical, defensive or suspicious person, then that’s the world you’ll inhabit,” continues Kavus. “You’ll see mean-spirited behaviour and selfishness all around you but it’s always a choice. I think perhaps some people forget that. That’s not the world I live in, nor would I want to. It’s a sad old world for sure but it’s also a beautiful one bursting with hope, possibility, wonder and magic in every single moment.”

“Stars In Heaven” is the first single to be released from the new album ‘Bright Spirit’ which will be released in 2026 on Kscope. ‘Bright Spirit’ continues the legendary Gong catalogue, an extensive and acclaimed collection of releases that has seen Gong produce over 30 studio albums during a career spanning more than 50 years, since the band was founded in 1970 by the late Daevid Allen.

G Herbo Honors Lost Loved Ones On Emotionally Charged “Fallen Soldiers” Video

0

Fresh off the release of his new album ‘Lil Herb’, G Herbo has shared the official video for the emotionally charged single “Fallen Soldiers”. The track reflects on the people and lessons that shaped him, serving as a grounding moment within the project. ‘Lil Herb’, a 15-track homecoming in both sound and spirit, is available everywhere now via Republic Records. Directed by LVTRKevin, the monochrome visuals find G Herbo surrounded by community, honoring those he’s lost while celebrating the lives still being lived. Children sing, families gather and everyday scenes unfold, acknowledging the pain while also pointing toward healing and hope.

The poignant track, produced by Don Cannon, Lyle LeDuff and Farmer, stands at the center of ‘Lil Herb’, tying together the project’s memory, presence and viewpoint. G Herbo has delivered ‘Lil Herb (Extended Version)’, an updated version of his album with three new tracks: “This N That,” “Hold My Hand God” and “No Bap”, deepening the project’s autobiographical arc. Building on the original album’s return to the hunger, pressure and perspective that shaped his earliest work, the extended version offers new layers of insight into where he’s been and where he’s headed.

‘Lil Herb’ takes G Herbo into his most personal terrain yet. Fellow 2016 XXL Freshman Anderson .Paak appears on “Thank Me”, adding a soulful, weathered warmth that balances Herbo’s raw reflection as he turns inward. The release is further underscored by “Emergency” featuring Wyclef Jean, a powerful reinterpretation of Wyclef’s classic “911”. Recorded largely in the same Chicago studios where Herbo’s story first took shape, the project leans on trusted creative roots. Production comes from hometown staples Chase Davis, OzOnTheTrack and C-Sick, alongside longtime collaborators Don Cannon, Southside and Smatt Sertified. Last month, G Herbo’s inaugural 1st Annual Birthday Bash, Swerv & Friends, sold out Chicago’s iconic Wintrust Arena in celebration of his 30th birthday with a powerhouse lineup including 21 Savage, Meek Mill, Polo G and more.

New Kids On The Block Extend Las Vegas Residency Through Fall 2026

New Kids on the Block have extended their debut Las Vegas residency through the fall of 2026 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The pop group will play 24 shows next year exclusively in Vegas, for what has become a special destination for their beloved Blockheads and visitors alike. New shows have been added for June, July and October 2026. Presales start on Monday, November 17th, ahead of the general sale on Friday, November 21st at 10 am local time.

In true New Kids meets Vegas style, the band took to the Vegas Strip to announce the residency extension, recommitting to Las Vegas in a ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel. The band first received the keys to the Las Vegas Strip from Clark County Commission Chairman Tick Segerblom, and then celebrated the honor with a wedding ceremony to officially get married to the city for the long term. “What we’ve built here in Vegas, together with our incredible Blockheads, feels truly magical. The energy in that room each night, the lights, the lasers, flying up to the balcony to see all our blockheads dancing and singing along, is so far beyond anything we’ve ever done before,” states Donnie Wahlberg. “Vegas has been so welcoming to us, we couldn’t leave just yet! We are having the absolute best time and are so excited and honored to be asked to extend our stay here at the Dolby through 2026.”

The Right Stuff Las Vegas Residency is the New Kids On The Block’s biggest celebration yet, designed to immerse attendees in a heart-pounding night of hits, spectacle, celebration and showmanship. NKOTB will take over Dolby Live at Park MGM, allowing the band to bring in massive performance elements that can’t be brought on the road.

INXS Classic “Never Tear Us Apart” Featured In Disney And Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’

0

INXS’ iconic heartfelt power ballad “Never Tear Us Apart” from their multi-platinum 1987 release ‘Kick’ invites audiences into the next storyline of the Toy Story universe. Frontman Michael Hutchence and guitarist Andrew Farris wrote the bluesy 6/8 ballad, which became a major international hit for INXS, helping to cement their global superstar status. The track peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the fourth consecutive Top 10 hit from the album. It also reached number 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and number 2 on the Canadian Top Singles chart while reaching Top 10 status in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The single has been certified seven times platinum in Australia and platinum in the UK, reflecting massive sales and streaming figures over time. The famous music video, directed by Richard Lowenstein, was filmed in the picturesque old city of Prague, Czechoslovakia, which adds a romantic and melancholic atmosphere to the song. Following Michael Hutchence’s death in 1997, the song gained profound significance when it was played as his coffin was carried out of St Andrew’s Cathedral, making it a powerful anthem of his life and legacy for many fans.

Disney and Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’ is set to be released in theaters on June 19, 2026. Tim Allen and Tom Hanks reprise their roles as Buzz Lightyear and Woody for a storyline that will reportedly center on the toys facing an all-new threat to playtime that comes in the form of high-tech devices. The film is directed by Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton, who also co-wrote the first four films in the franchise.

Rich Allo Channels Raw Emotion On Cinematic New Single “You”

0

Rich Allo has released new single “You”, marking one of his most vulnerable chapters to date. Written alone at night in his flat on a cold February evening, the song began as a fragile, piano-led stream of consciousness before growing into a cinematic, explosive alt-rock release. Inspired by the euphoric, emotional soundscapes of M83 and Greet Death, “You” moves from quiet restraint to a full emotional eruption, mirroring the battle of trying to hold yourself together when life overwhelms you. The track doesn’t spell out a specific story. Instead, it chases a feeling: a tension between hope and devastation, control and collapse.

Rich shares, “Sometimes you don’t quite know what you’re writing about or who to, but it still hits somewhere real. ‘You’ came from that place.” The pop-rock and alternative artist creates expansive, emotionally charged music that marries soaring melodies with profound vulnerability. Influenced by icons such as Freddie Mercury, Keane, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and U2, Rich writes with a theatrical intensity and honesty that invites listeners into the rawest corners of the human experience. His songs capture the chaos and beauty of life in your twenties, navigating identity, mental health, transformation and relationships with a voice that is both cathartic and deeply comforting.

Raised on the shores of Jersey in the Channel Islands, Rich’s journey began early: first on drums at six years old, before expanding into acoustic guitar, piano and eventually discovering his voice as a teenager. What began as poetry evolved into songwriting, becoming a vessel for honesty and emotional release. Alongside music, Rich studied acting and drama at Kingston University, a background that shapes the immersive, expressive quality of his live performances. Rich hopes the song offers comfort to anyone who feels on the edge, reminding listeners that intense emotions are part of being human.
