In the wake of the catastrophic flooding that has impacted so many lives across Texas’ Hill Country, it is impossible to watch the news without feeling the heartbreak of this disaster. Entire communities have been devastated, and families are mourning the loss of their children and loved ones.
In response, Texan George Strait alongside businessman and Vaqueros del Mar partner of 15-years, Tom Cusick, are organizing a special benefit dinner and concert in Boerne, Texas, Strait To The Heart, at Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena.
“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” shares Strait. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders who work tirelessly to save lives.
Special thanks to our friends and fellow troubadours—William Beckman, Ray Benson, Wade Bowen, Dean Dillon, Riley Green, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook and members of my Ace in the Hole Band—for joining me on stage to lend their talent and their hearts to this mission.”
Cusick adds, “The road ahead will be a long one. However, the immediate need is so great that we didn’t want to wait. Together, we can show our neighbors that when hardship strikes, Texas and our Country stand strong, and we stand together.”
Due to the intimate setting, the event is limited to one thousand guests. Tickets and tables are available for purchase pricing starting at $1000. Complimentary tickets will be provided to local area first responders. Donations will be made to the 501c3 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund and distributed directly to affected families as well as established Hill Country funds.

Rapidly rising lyrical heavyweight Monaleo heats things up with new summer anthem “We On Dat,” her newest release via Columbia Records. In true Monaleo fashion, the new track is filled with effortlessly clever wordplay and a flow so versatile that still manages to be reminiscent of vintage Houston.
Monaleo first teased the release last month to her ever-loyal fanbase before officially announcing the single earlier this week, and swiftly delivering the full drop, complete with a striking visual.
The accompanying music video comes today in celebration of 713 day, Houston’s unofficial holiday honoring the city’s original area code and everything that makes it iconic. Celebrated every July 13th, it’s a day to celebrate the culture, creativity and community of H-Town.
The official music video directed by George Buford and Oliver Cannon was shot in the metro city of Houston, with accompanying scenes in the bayou that nod to the young rappers spiritual and ancestral roots. Clad in her signature pink with a matching truck, Monaleo delivers a bold reminder: on top of being polarizing in her own right, she can go toe to toe with anyone.
Monaleo, the unapologetic force from Houston, Texas, has emerged as one of the most compelling new voices in hip-hop. At just 24 years old, she has already captivated listeners and critics alike with her fearless lyricism and undeniable charisma. Her breakout hit, “Beating Down Yo Block,” earned RIAA gold certification, amassing over 36 million YouTube views, and cemented her as a rising star.
Her debut album, Where the Flowers Don’t Die (2023), delivered a deeply introspective and resonant experience, addressing themes of depression, anxiety, and family struggle with unflinching honesty. In 2024, she built on that momentum with Throwing Bows and “Don Who Leo,” a viral sensation that took TikTok by storm with over four million creations and peaked at #16 on the Billboard Charts. As of 2025, Monaleo has garnered over 125 million YouTube views and over 300 million all-time streams, further solidifying her place in the cultural conversation.

With “girls will b girls,” Natalie Jane leads by example, highlighting her significant artistic growth through refined songwriting and a polished blend of contemporary pop production and lyrical finesse.
The song delves into the complexities of modern femininity, offering a thoughtful reflection on personal resilience and the power of community among women. Jane’s vocals move effortlessly between moments of vulnerability and undeniable strength, perfectly capturing the emotional and narrative scope of the track.
“girls will b girls is about the unspoken struggles of being a girl- it’s about the way girls show up for each other through difficult times. I’m so excited to share this song because it’s not about love or heartbreak like most of my music. It’s about friendship, sisterhood, and the strength that comes from having women in your corner. This one is truly for the girls.” – Natalie Jane
With “girls will b girls,” Natalie Jane not only delivers another undeniable pop moment but further establishes herself as a defining storyteller for her generation. The single marks a bold step forward as she sets the stage for more music to come soon.

Jon Nolan announced his new album Slow Cooker will be released on September 19 via Strolling Bones Records. On the album, the New Hampshire native underscores his relatable storytelling with eloquent folk-inspired songcraft accented by flourishes of country and rock brought to life during cozy and relaxed jam sessions which took place in his hometown of Newmarket. Along with the announcement, Nolan shared the lead single “On My Own.”
“An 80’s radio-infused meditation on the tension between shielding your heart from the world and the desperate fight to keep your heart open to all the beautiful mess of life,” Nolan says of the track. “A story about the deep desire for belonging, warmth and safety in young adulthood, but also a slow realization that sometimes you can only count on yourself.”
During the summer of 2022, Nolan, who fronts the alternative country band Say ZuZu, experienced a surge of inspiration so he launched a new music project “just for fun.” At first, he holed up in the attic of a friend’s barn with collaborators Geoff Taylor [bass] and Rick Habib [drums]. “We were eventually kicked out for being too loud,” Nolan laughs. Despite losing their de facto clubhouse, the guys welcomed Zack Tremblay [guitar] into the fold, cementing the lineup for Jon Nolan & Good Co.
By fall, The Stone Church Music Club in Newmarket agreed to allow Jon access to its upstairs living room. On the first Sunday of each month, he would host the Slow Cooker Sessions in this space. Friends would freely come and go, hangout, sit in a circle, and play live. However, these moments simply begged to be recorded. So Jon Nolan & Good Co. cut what would become Slow Cooker over the course of four sessions. Jon and Geoff co-produced the record, completing a handful of overdubs at the former’s home studio.
“Slow Cooker is more than just an album,” says Jon. “It’s evidence of a new season of creative meaning for me. Each song is a story from my life or my imagination that sort of became a series of little fires that the band gathered around one by one to stoke, feed, and tend to. We want people to come join us and warm themselves by these stories-on the record or at our shows.”
“Crafting this record was like remembering how to make music again and enjoy it,” he notes. “I felt this new sense of freedom. I can just write songs that bring me joy and build them out with my friends. There’s nothing like being in a room and creating music that stirs hearts.”
That’s exactly what these songs do. Take the lead single “On My Own,” which originated as a demo on Jon’s phone. The track ponders the promise of youth backed by bright slide guitar and a breezy beat. His voice rings out on a chantable chorus tailormade for driving with the windows down, “She said, ‘I guess that I’m on my own’.”
“When we were playing along to it, it made me feel something,” he recalls. “I like when songs give you enough detail to kickstart your imagination, but not so much that there isn’t room for you to add in more. To me, it’s about being young and having new experiences. Sometimes, those are good. Sometimes, you get your heart hurt. You need to learn to take stock of your strengths and forge forward.”
Beyond a storied history with Say ZuZu spanning multiple studio and live albums and countless shows, Jon’s own catalog includes two solo albums, namely When The Summers Lasted Long [2006] and Everything Has Changed [2014]. Now, he kicks off another chapter, beginning with Slow Cooker.
Nolan has a few tour dates lined up for the summer and fall including the 2nd Annual Summer Cooker, a mini-festival Nolan started in his hometown to celebrate community.

Led by visionary GRAMMY Award-winning artist, guitar legend, songwriter and producer Warren Haynes – a cornerstone of the American music landscape – the enduring, globally revered GRAMMY-nominated group has showcased its intelligence and breadth over the course of 20+ studio and live albums, thousands of memorable performances, and millions of album and track sales. Gov’t Mule’s most recent studio album, 2023’s Peace…Like A River (Fantasy Records) is a timeless rock collection featuring guest appearances from Billy F Gibbons, Ivan Neville, Billy Bob Thornton, Ruthie Foster, and Celisse. Peace…Like A River – hailed as “perfection,” “captivating,” “riveting,” and among the band’s best – marked the follow-up to Mule’s GRAMMY-nominated blues album, Heavy Load Blues, with both albums recorded at The Power Station New England during the same sessions but created in different rooms with no shared gear or instruments. Gov’t Mule – Haynes [guitar, vocals], Matt Abts [drums], Danny Louis [keyboards, guitar, and backing vocals], and Kevin Scott [bass] – has become a human encyclopedia of great American music while adding to that canon with their signature sound. The band’s flexible interplay in the studio and on stage makes them a true living, breathing ensemble and Haynes is lauded as one of the most formidable guitarists and vocalists of the modern era and a prolific songwriter and producer.
Colorado-based band Mynd Reader is excited to announce its newest single, “Leaving Our Lives.” Leaning into a timeless vintage-rock soundscape, the band has created an undeniable soul anthem. “Leaving Our Lives” is out now on Merchant Records LLC and is available everywhere you stream music.
Unfolding like an earthy-toned Polaroid come to life, “Leaving Our Lives” is warm, lived-in, and achingly resonant. It captures the dusty grandeur of ’70s soul-rock, built around a sun-drenched groove and smoky vocals. The single arrives just in time for summer, ready to soundtrack long drives, open skies, and reflective moments in motion. With this new music, Mynd Reader continues to carve out its lane with emotionally charged, no-skip songwriting and stadium-sized passion.
The song was mixed by Grammy Award winner Michael Brauer (Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, My Morning Jacket), who infuses it with analog warmth and undeniable pedigree. Mynd Reader features Shelby Kemp, whose soulful delivery carries the weight of lived experience; Brian Sachs, the co-writer and drummer who shapes the song with intention; and producer-co-writer Tonin, whose widescreen sonic vision powers the band’s evolving sound.
“Leaving Our Lives” arrives on the heels of Mynd Reader’s steady rise through the indie-rock and Americana ranks. Previous singles have gained traction on Triple-A and Americana radio, with “Radio Warning” currently at #24 on the Rock Chart and “Simply Avanti” climbing the Billboard Triple-A chart.
As Mynd Reader builds toward its full-length debut album and fall/winter tour, “Leaving Our Lives” stands as a bold declaration. This band isn’t just paying homage to rock’s past; it’s rewriting the next chapter.
Leading the band are Tonin and Brian Sachs (formerly of The Authority). In the ’90s, Brian found success as drummer for the pioneering jam band The Authority, performing at iconic venues such as Nightingales and serving in the house band at the legendary Wetlands. He has shared stages with Phish, Blues Traveler, and Dave Matthews, grinding through more than 200 tour dates each year during the band’s seven-year stretch. After the tragic passing of The Authority’s manager, Bill Graham, the group parted ways, but Brian never stopped playing, drumming, and writing songs.
Magic struck again when Brian enlisted longtime friend and musician Tonin—the creative glue behind Mynd Reader. With a keen ear for melody and a talent for crafting rich soundscapes, Tonin brings a unique vision to Brian’s lyrics. His collaborative spirit fosters innovation, while his genre-blending production enhances the raw energy of Mynd Reader and shapes its powerful sound. Together, Tonin and Brian are unveiling a fresh voice rooted in the foundations of rock ’n’ roll.
The set includes 217 newly remastered tracks, 106 of which will be available for the first time since their original ’60s release date, 10 live tracks recorded at L’Olympia in Paris restored and available for the very first time, plus more than 55 TV performances on DVD for the first time. The collection also includes a 24-page book featuring rare pictures, documents, and liner notes in English and French.
Françoise Hardy’s Vogue years have marked the history of French and international music. Even today, the five years between 1962–67 remain an exceptional moment in her career, the one when she exploded in the eyes of a generation that was born during or just after World War II, the generation that would be part of the May 1968 Paris protests.
Hardy exploded not only in France alongside her fellow “Yéyés,” but also internationally where she became the symbol of French elegance, talent and charm. From the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain, no one could resist Françoise. She recorded most of her hits in English, Italian, and German.
This year marks what would have been the 90th birthday (12 October) of one of the most iconic voices in music history – Luciano Pavarotti. To honour this milestone, Decca Records is spearheading PAVAROTTI 90, a worldwide tribute celebrating the tenor’s unmatched contribution to classical music, his international appeal, and his legacy of bringing opera to the masses.
The year-long tribute begins in Wales, at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod — the very place where a defining moment in Luciano Pavarotti’s life took place. Pavarotti’s widow, Nicoletta Mantovani, returned to North Wales on July 12th, 2025, where her late husband, first stepped onto the international stage at the age of 19. Decca will release The Lost Concert: Live from Llangollen (1995) on 21 November 2025 — a never-before- released recording of Pavarotti’s emotional return to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, 40 years after the Welsh festival changed the course of his life. Speaking about the significance of the event, Nicoletta Mantovani said: “It was the beginning of everything. Luciano often said that without Llangollen, there would have been no career.”
In July 1955, at just 19 years old, Luciano Pavarotti travelled outside Italy for the first time, joining his father in the Modena-based Corale Rossini choir to compete in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales. Singing against 22 choirs from around the world, they won the male voice competition by a distance. Pavarotti would later describe this moment as a turning point — the experience that first inspired him to consider a professional career in music and he promised himself he would one day return.
40 years later, in 1995, he fulfilled that promise. At the peak of his international fame — following landmark performances with The Three Tenors in Rome (1990), Hyde Park (1991), and Central Park (1993) — Pavarotti returned to Llangollen to give a deeply personal concert. Addressing a packed Pavilion crowd, he reflected: “Forty years ago, my God — it seems to be just yesterday for me. I have done so many things. I always say to the journalists when they ask me what is the most memorable day in my life, and I always say it is when I won this competition, because it was with all my friends.” This historic and previously unreleased concert was recorded, capturing a unique homecoming moment in his remarkable career.
‘The Lost Concert: Live At Llangollen (1995)’ recording features the tenor at the height of his powers performing with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, soprano Atzuko Kawahara and Corale Rossini. The recording has been re-mastered and comes with a 100-page collector’s book filled with essays, photographs and archive material. It also includes two original 1955 recordings of the Corale Rossini, Bonjour mon cœur and In Nomine Jesu, believed to be the earliest surviving audio featuring Pavarotti’s voice, as well as a rare interview where he recalls his first visit to Wales.
Alongside the Decca recording, Mercury Studios will also release the film of The Lost Concert on BluRay (21 November 2025), including archive of Pavarotti and interviews and observational footage from the day.
To commemorate this very special occasion, Nicoletta Mantovani attended the 2025 Eisteddfod on 12 and 13 July for the first time, and handed over the coveted Pavarotti Trophy to Llangollen’s Choir of the World and the Pendine Trophy to the winner of the International Voice of the Future competition, the finals of which took place at the closing weekend of the 2025 festival. A giant chalk mural of Pavarotti’s face appeared on the fields above the Eisteddfod site, with images revealed today.
The celebration continues with a 74-track collection that explores the full journey of Pavarotti’s musical life entitled ‘Novanta’ (Ninety), It includes his earliest studio recordings, famous duets with artists including Bono, Elton John and Andrea Bocelli, as well as rare performances from Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica. The album will be released worldwide on 10 October.
This year, the world remembers a voice and a legacy that transformed the landscape of classical music and continues to inspire generations. And the celebration doesn’t end in 2025 – more special tributes will follow into 2026, marking a full year of commemorations. Further details will be revealed in due course.
Fallsview Casino Resort welcomes two iconic Canadian rock bands Matthew Good and His Band and I Mother Earth to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on Friday, November 21, 2025. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 18 at 10:00am through ticketmaster.ca.
“This tour celebrates an incredible legacy of Canadian rock music, and we are thrilled to welcome them to OLG stage at Fallsview Casino. Matthew Good and His Band and I Mother Earth in concert is a Canadian rock music moment to experience” says Cathy Price, Vice President of Marketing and Resort Operations at Niagara Casinos.
Matthew Good is a multi-platinum selling Canadian recording artist, best known for his signature vocal style, guitar-driven melodies, and cinematic lyrics. He began his career as the frontman for the Matthew Good Band, one of the most successful Canadian alternative rock bands during the 1990s and early 2000s. Rock radio staples such as “Hello Timebomb,” “Everything Is Automatic,” “Indestructible,” “Apparitions,” and “Load Me Up” made the group a household name, selling out shows throughout Canada over seven years and four full-length album releases. After disbanding in 2002, Good started writing and recording his first solo record, 2003’s Avalanche, hailed as a masterful work of emotional and intellectual depth, the album struck a chord with critics and audiences alike. To date, Good’s body of work includes thirteen full-length studio albums, four EPs, two compilation LPs, and one live album. He has been nominated for 21 Juno Awards throughout his career. He has also garnered eight Top 10 radio singles in Canada as a solo artist, including “Weapon,” “In A World Called Catastrophe,” “Alert Status Red,” “Born Losers” and “Last Parade.”
When I Mother Earth first ended their eight Year Hiatus in March of 2012 they did so by putting a countdown clock on their website that expired just in time for the band to perform two sold out shows in Toronto. In 2016 they turned the clock back 20 years back to be exact and reunited with the bands original vocalist Edwin to celebrate the 20th anniversary of critically acclaimed multi Platinum album Scenery and Fish. This reunion caused the band to tour nationally for the first time since ending their hiatus. The albumScenery and Fishgenerated four Top 10 Hits in Canada with “Raspberry”, “Another Sunday”, “Used to be Alright”, and “One More Astronaut”, but it’s the new music on the horizon and the opportunity to dive into their first record Dig that has both the fans and the band excited to explore. The debut record featured four top singles as well. “Levitate”, “Rain Will Fall”, “So Gently We Go” and “Not Quite Sonic” all hold a distinct place in the Hearts of I Mother Earth fans.
