DAISY GRENADE Share Alt-Rock Cover of Wicked Classic “For Good”

0

Acclaimed alt-pop duo Daisy Grenade is wrapping up an eventful 2025 by dropping a brand-new spin on the iconic Wicked duet, “For Good,” which is available now via DCD2/Fueled By Ramen. Given the duo’s musical theater roots, they felt it was time to go back to basics while staying true to their signature alt-rock style. Arranged simply for guitar, drums, and bass, this cover offers “alt-rock with a touch of Broadway,” showcasing their vocals in a completely new way. The track made its official debut last night at the sold-out hometown holiday spectacular, “Daisy Grenade Does Whatever the F*ck They Want,” at NYC’s Joe’s Pub, where they were joined by guests like Cassadee Pope.

This latest single continues a non-stop hot streak for Daisy Grenade, which included their emotionally charged offering “Good Luck (Wish You Hell)” this fall, a track praised by Melodic Magazine for showcasing the duo’s dynamic vocal range. That evocative power ballad was produced by two-time GRAMMY-nominee WZRD BLD, and was preceded by their infectious summer anthem, “Don’t Sweat It,” produced by Andrew Goldstein. Clearly, Daisy Grenade is an entity that is not only constantly creating but also isn’t afraid to put an unexpected rock twist on a classic Broadway hit.

BEAUTY IN CHAOS Covers Joe Strummer’s “Get Down Moses” as Part of New Double A-Side

0

The always revolving, ever-evolving collective known as Beauty In Chaos (BIC) is back with a powerful double A-side single, and today, they’ve dropped the video for their rendition of the Joe Strummer classic, “Get Down Moses.” This track, alongside their smokey cover of the traditional gospel hymn “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” (popularized by Johnny Cash), sees BIC curator and Schecter Guitars President Michael Ciravolo stepping up to handle lead vocal duties, in addition to his signature guitars and percussion work. Ciravolo explains that, like the gospel track, he felt a “spiritual calling” to cover this particular Strummer song, noting that the late Clash frontman’s lyrics—which attack governments, oppression, and the Catholic church—are certainly “timely” and just as socially important as anything he ever wrote.

The track was produced by the GRAMMY-nominated Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jarboe), who also handles bass, drum programming, and backing vocals on the track alongside Tish Ciravolo and Whitney Tai. The video, directed by Vicente Cordero, provides a slightly lighter visual contrast to the heavy subject matter, though Ciravolo’s “1977” shirt is a personal nod to Strummer’s era with The Clash. This new offering continues BIC’s history of massive collaborations, which has seen the project involve members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, and Nine Inch Nails since its launch in 2018. If you want to hear a classic punk protest song delivered with a sleek, collaborative BIC twist, this one’s for you.

DELLA MAE Announce New Album ‘Magic Accident’ with Release of Title Track

0

GRAMMY-nominated roots and bluegrass quartet Della Mae has officially announced their new album, Magic Accident, and dropped the title track, signaling the start of a fresh chapter for the band. This record, their first for Nashville-based Compass Records, showcases the vocal strength and instrumental skill fans expect, drawing inspiration from everything from Americana to hard-driving bluegrass and dreamy indie-folk. Long-time advocates for women in music, Della Mae collaborated with the brilliant producer and banjoist Alison Brown on the project. Lead vocalist and guitarist Celia Woodsmith penned the title track, “Magic Accident,” which reflects on the passage of time and self-discovery, fueled by Kimber Ludiker’s fiddle, Vickie Vaughn’s bass, and Brown’s catchy banjo groove that carries a cosmic message reminiscent of the early Chicks.

The band says Magic Accident explores the “complexity of being human and the drive to seize joy and possibility amid the sheer improbability of being here at all.” Since forming in Boston in 2010, Della Mae has proven that an all-women band is more than just a novelty, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Album and being named Emerging Artist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2013. Known for their high-energy performances that have taken them to over 30 countries representing the U.S. State Department, this new album is their most collaborative effort to date, featuring original songs contributed by each member and co-writes with artists they’ve long admired.

ISIAH & THE NEW PEOPLE Drop “Don’t Wanna Talk About It,” Teaser for Upcoming Album ‘Birds’

0

Isiah & The New People have just released “Don’t Wanna Talk About It,” an upbeat glimpse into their upcoming 2026 album, Birds. The track delivers a lively, psychedelic Western folk message that everyone sees the chaos happening in the world, but no one wants to say it out loud. Isiah, known for his unique storytelling, pulls from his own spiritual journey to paint a picture of a world heading in the wrong direction, describing the exact moment when the “crazy ideas” people dismissed start becoming real. The song is a great example of musical juxtaposition, pairing a bright-sounding composition with significantly heavier lyrical content that details everything from chaos and drought to non-stop negative news. Ultimately, the song serves as a warning that it’s “time to start talking about it because it’s about to play out,” as everyone will eventually have to face the issues head-on, whether they want to or not.

XDB Drops New Single “Love of My Life” as Melodic Metal Outfit Enters New Phase

0

Melodic metal outfit XDB has just launched into an exciting new creative phase with their latest single, “Love of My Life,” a track that showcases the band at their most expressive. The song, available now on all streaming platforms, blends soaring melodies, heartfelt emotion, and the band’s signature musicianship, while the accompanying striking lyric video on YouTube pairs vivid imagery with the song’s intimate themes. Fronted by vocalist Rob Kane and powered by the virtuosic guitar work of Xander Demos—who loosely channeled Dream Theater’s John Petrucci for the guitar solo—the track was specifically conceived to be “upbeat and positive,” going against the grain of sadder songs that often dominate emotional writing. This push for a positive, inspiring metal anthem highlights the band’s dynamic energy, which Demos believes is boundless, noting their three lead singers (including himself and bassist Emily Stroup) allow them to write vocal-style AOR with a touch of progressive rock/metal.

TYLER CHILDERS Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at GRAMMY-Nominated Album ‘Snipe Hunter’

Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Tyler Childers has just shared “The Snipe Hunt,” a new 10-minute mini-documentary that takes fans behind the scenes of his GRAMMY-nominated album, Snipe Hunter. The short film features footage from the recording process, alongside exclusive new commentary from Childers himself, producers Rick Rubin and Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, and mixing engineer Shawn Everett. The album, which earned Childers his highest-ever debut on the Billboard 200 chart, is nominated for Best Contemporary Country Album at the upcoming 68th Grammy Awards, where he also picked up nominations for Best Country Song, Best Country Solo Performance, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. This deep dive into the creative process follows the recent release of “Bitin’ List (Live From Dinosaur World),” a new version of his nominated track that captures the kind of magic The New York Times praised, where “love flows back and forth between the people on the stage and the people standing in the dirt.”

INDVGO Shares Soul-Soaked “Remember” as a Secret Drop for Fans

0

Brooklyn-born singer, songwriter, and storyteller INDVGO returns with “Remember,” an atmospheric, soul-soaked single released exclusively on Bandcamp as a “secret drop for fans.” The track masterfully blends the warmth of nostalgic soul with the intimacy of modern R&B, creating something both vintage and new, drawing comparisons to the emotional honesty of SZA and the spoken-word intimacy of early Jill Scott. Described as a rare and confessional offering, “Remember” begins as a tender reflection on what could have been before unfolding into a confrontation and release, capturing the messy duality of heartbreak where pain becomes art. With production that leans minimalist and atmospheric, the song allows INDVGO’s voice to take center stage, focusing on themes of mental health, emotional healing, and self-worth, ultimately serving as a modern ode to vulnerability turned power. By offering this rare release, INDVGO is prioritizing a deeper connection with her day-one fans, creating an intimate, cinematic “art moment” intentionally off the grid.

I PROMISED THE WORLD Drop Intense New Single “A Pure Expression” Ahead of Debut EP

0

The fast-rising Texas five-piece I Promised The World have just shared “A Pure Expression,” the second single from their forthcoming, self-titled EP, which is due out on January 16th via Rise Records. The track arrives with an official music video and follows their initial single, “Bliss In 7 Languages.” “A Pure Expression” expands on the band’s ability to balance restraint with sheer intensity: it opens with a patient, atmospheric build before blowing up into a swelling mix of screamo, Midwest emo, and post-hardcore. The track, produced by Jon Markson and Adam Cichocki, leans into heavy texture and tension, allowing moments of space to sit right next to crushing distortion and emotionally charged vocal interplay between Caleb Molina and Hunter Wilson.

The band’s formation in 2023 is intrinsically linked to tragedy; vocalist/guitarist Caleb Molina started the group as an extension and expression of his grief following his father’s death due to COVID in 2020. Alongside drummer Mason Zschau, guitarist Mason Nowlin, and bassist Aidan Vickers, the band’s new self-titled EP exists both as a reflection of Molina’s loss and as a celebration of his father’s life. In their two short years of existence, I Promised The World has quickly built serious buzz, already seeing tour runs with bands like Deafheaven and Koyo. If you’re looking for a band that delivers raw, emotional power with a sonic blend that balances space and massive sound, their debut EP will be required listening.

MUMFORD & SONS Drop Title Track “Prizefighter” Ahead of New Album

0

Mumford & Sons are continuing their incredibly prolific songwriting streak by announcing their sixth album, Prizefighter, which is set for release on February 13th via Glassnote Records, a mere seven months after their #1 album RUSHMERE arrived in March 2025. To celebrate the news, the band has shared the title track, “Prizefighter,” a song written alongside two heavy hitters: Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner. Dessner, who previously worked with the band on their Wilder Mind record, co-produced and co-wrote the entire new collection, capturing the band at their most open and instinctive.

The sessions for Prizefighter were remarkably quick and communal; the band wrote more than an album’s worth of songs in just ten days, reflecting a collection that feels deeply personal and unguardedly communal. Marcus Mumford’s lyrics on the new tracks grapple with themes of resilience and striving. This energized and rejuvenated feeling is reflected across the 14 new songs, which were born from days spent writing in Hudson cafés and nights around Dessner’s Long Pond kitchen table, resulting in tracks “alive with first takes and the joy of simply making music together again.”

That communal spirit extended to the studio, too, with Mumford & Sons welcoming an impressive list of collaborators for the album. The Prizefighter sessions feature guest appearances from artists like Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton, Gigi Perez, and Dessner himself, underscoring the band’s commitment to connection in their music.

As they share the new track, the band is wrapping up their lengthy U.S., Europe, and U.K. arena tours, concluding tonight with a second night at London’s O2. Looking ahead, Mumford & Sons will headline BST Hyde Park in London next July—their first return to the park in a decade—with support from The War On Drugs. Huge outdoor summer shows in Groningen, Rome, and Berlin are also currently on sale.
