Gracie Abrams Launches a New Era With “Hit the Wall” and Announces Album ‘Daughter from Hell’

Gracie Abrams has a new single out and a new album on the way. “Hit the Wall,” the lead single from her forthcoming third studio album ‘Daughter from Hell,’ is out now via Interscope Records, alongside an official video directed by Renell Medrano that frames Abrams’ inner world through a surrealist, shadow-heavy visual language packed with symbolic imagery.

‘Daughter from Hell’ arrives July 17th, written and produced by Abrams alongside Aaron Dessner. It’s her first album in 2 years, following ‘The Secret of Us,’ which debuted at No. 1 in the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

‘The Secret of Us’ built Abrams’ profile track by track. “Close to You” marked her first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100. “I Love You, I’m Sorry” peaked at No. 9 on the US Spotify Chart and No. 31 on the Hot 100. The deluxe edition added “That’s So True,” which climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and gave Abrams her first top 10 entry.

“Hit the Wall” is a strong opening move for a record that clearly operates in a different register. Stripped back and atmospherically dense, it signals a more inward-looking direction while keeping the melodic instincts that made ‘The Secret of Us’ such a commercial and critical success.

Shakira and Burna Boy Drop “Dai Dai,” the Official Anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2026

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has its anthem. Shakira and Burna Boy have released “Dai Dai” via Sony Music Latin, the official song of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a campaign targeting $100 million raised by the end of the tournament to connect children in underserved communities with access to quality education and sports.

Shakira’s royalties from “Dai Dai” go directly to the Education Fund. Sony Music will match the first $250,000 raised with a donation. And Shakira is contributing $1 from every ticket sold on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour to the fund as well.

“The World Cup is one of the few things the entire world experiences together,” Burna Boy says. “Football and music speak the same language. They bring people together no matter where you’re from and being part of this moment through music means a lot to me.”

The song sets up one of the most anticipated halftime shows in sporting history. On Sunday, July 19th, Shakira co-headlines the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show alongside Madonna and BTS, the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup Final history.

Shakira arrives at this moment at an extraordinary peak. Billboard crowned her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time, generating $421.6 million across 82 stadium shows with over 3.3 million people in attendance. In early May, she performed for more than 2 million fans at Copacabana Beach for Todo Mundo No Rio, one of the highest attended concerts ever recorded, bringing out Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Ivete Sangalo, and others for a set spanning her entire career.

This fall, Shakira headlines an 11-night stadium European residency in Madrid, in a stadium being built and named specifically for her. More than half a million tickets are already sold. A limited U.S. arena run this summer gives North American fans a closer look at the production before the European dates.

Burna Boy’s appearance on “Dai Dai” reflects a career that continues to operate at the intersection of music, sport, and global culture. From stadium headline slots to the NBA All-Star Game, he remains one of the most important live performers working today.

Radiohead’s Motion Picture House Expands With New Dates, Cities, and a Student Discount

Motion Picture House: Kid A Mnesia arrived at Coachella to a rave reception, and now it’s on the move. Radiohead and AEG have expanded the large-scale audiovisual installation’s Brooklyn run through the end of June, added new cities, and introduced a college student discount program that makes the experience accessible to a whole new audience.

The installation itself is built around ‘Kid A Mnesia,’ a film assembled from the artwork Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood created during the making of ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac,’ set to a soundtrack drawn from the original multitracks of both albums. Full-scale gallery installations featuring artwork from that era round out the experience. It’s an immersive encounter with 2 of the most influential albums in modern rock history, presented at a scale those records deserve.

The Brooklyn run at the Agger Fish Building now extends through June 28th, with Wednesday showings added alongside the existing Thursday through Sunday schedule. That Wednesday slot carries a 30 percent discount for anyone with a .edu email address, a program that applies to every city on the tour. Students can register for the discount directly through the Motion Picture House ticketing portal.

The full touring schedule takes the installation to 4 cities across North America, closing with a run at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts.

BNYX Assembles Peso Pluma, Yeat, and Bizarrap for the Explosive Debut Album ‘Genesis FM’

BNYX has spent years building one of the most impressive production resumes in hip-hop, and now he’s stepping fully into the spotlight. His debut album ‘Genesis FM’ drops this Friday, and the opening move is “Fuëgo,” a new collaboration bringing together Peso Pluma, Yeat, and Argentine producer Bizarrap in a track that rides electro textures, chromatic synths, and cascading percussion into something that sounds genuinely unlike anything else out right now.

The official music video is out now via Lyfestyle Corporation/Field Trip/Capitol Records.

What makes “Fuëgo” work is that it doesn’t feel forced. 4 artists with completely distinct creative identities fold into each other without losing what makes any of them distinctive. That’s BNYX’s signature, and it runs through everything on ‘Genesis FM.’

The album’s collaborator list is wide and deliberate. His ‘Genesis FM’ track “Overloaddd” is also the new theme song for X Games League. Dua Lipa Captured 92 Shows and 5 Continents, Now ‘Live From Mexico’ Brings It All Home

The Radical Optimism Tour was one of the biggest live runs of the decade, and Dua Lipa is marking its finale properly. ‘Dua Lipa (Live From Mexico),’ a live album and concert film recorded across 3 sold-out nights at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, arrives this week via Warner Records.

The concert film premieres May 21st at 6 pm BST/1 pm ET on Dua’s YouTube channel. The live album hits DSPs May 22nd, with physical copies shipping June 5th.

The Radical Optimism Tour closed out 92 shows across 5 continents, including back-to-back sold-out dates at Wembley Stadium, with over 1.75 million tickets sold. Mexico City was the finale, and the energy in this recording reflects exactly what that means.

One of the standout moments: a duet with Fher Olvera of Maná on the band’s classic 1992 hit “Oye Mi Amor,” part of a broader tradition Dua maintained throughout the tour of performing bespoke covers in the local language of each city. Across the full run, she performed in 9 languages, including Spanish, Italian, French, Czech, Dutch, German, Portuguese, and Albanian.

“This tour has been the most beautiful and fulfilling experience of my career so far,” Dua says in the concert film’s trailer. “You’ve built something bigger than a show. You’ve built a family and I feel that every single night.”

Billy Idol Gets the Lifetime Achievement Award at the AMAs and Then Performs His Greatest Hits

The 52nd American Music Awards just got a whole lot more interesting. Billy Idol, 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of rock’s most enduring figures, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s ceremony, live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, May 25th at 8 pm ET on CBS and Paramount+.

What makes this one count double: Idol isn’t just accepting an award. He’s performing a medley of his biggest hits, his first time on the AMAs stage as a performer ever, and his first appearance on the show since presenting in 2004. “Dancing with Myself,” “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face,” “Cradle of Love” — the catalog speaks for itself, and seeing it performed live in that setting is the kind of television moment worth watching for.

Idol joins an exclusive list. Previous Lifetime Achievement Award recipients at the AMAs include Diana Ross and Rod Stewart. The recognition reflects nearly 50 years of impact, from his early years fronting Generation X between 1977 and 1981 through his landmark solo run alongside guitarist Steve Stevens, and straight through to 2025’s ‘Dream Into It’ on Dark Horse Records.

This year also brought ‘Billy Idol Should Be Dead,’ the definitive documentary about his life and career, making 2026 one of the most significant years of a career already full of them.

The 52nd AMAs features a stacked night of performances from International Artist Award of Excellence recipient Karol G, Hootie & The Blowfish, Keith Urban, Maluma, Teddy Swims, Twenty One Pilots, Teyana Taylor, Riley Green, Katseye, Sombr, and more. Queen Latifah hosts from the largest venue in the show’s history.

Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 8, followed by Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and Sombr with 7 each. Fan voting remains open for Social Song of the Year and Tour of the Year through the first 30 minutes of the broadcast.

The 52nd American Music Awards airs Monday, May 25th at 8 pm ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Scotty McCreery Marks 15 Years With Seven No. 1 Hits, Four New Recordings, and Josh Turner

Fifteen years in, and Scotty McCreery has the receipts. The multi-platinum country hitmaker has announced ’15,’ a retrospective collection arriving July 17th via Triple Tigers Records, featuring 9 of his biggest hits alongside 4 new recordings, including a full-circle duet that ties directly back to where everything started.

The story begins in 2011, when a 16-year-old McCreery walked into his American Idol audition and sang Josh Turner’s “Your Man” a cappella in front of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler. Fifteen years later, McCreery has re-recorded the song with Turner himself, closing a loop that spans more than a decade of friendship, mentorship, and mutual respect.

“Getting to know him has been something little Scotty would never have imagined,” McCreery says of Turner. “Having the honor of recording ‘Your Man’ with him is a moment I’ll never get over.” Turner, for his part, is equally warm about it: “He came on the scene singing that song and has had a great career ever since. Of course, I take credit for all of his success.” The new version of “Your Man” featuring Turner is out now.

The timing carries extra weight. Turner’s album ‘Your Man,’ which featured his original recording of the title track, turns 20 this year. That kind of symmetry doesn’t happen by accident.

’15’ contains all 7 of McCreery’s No. 1 hits: “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” “In Between,” “You Time,” “Damn Strait,” “Cab in a Solo,” and “Bottle Rockets” featuring Hootie & The Blowfish, his recent platinum-certified chart-topper and first No. 1 in Canada. The vinyl and CD versions also include “See You Tonight,” his first Top 10 hit, making its first appearance on a physical release.

The 3 additional new cuts round out the package with genuine meaning. “Hello Darlin’,” the Conway Twitty classic McCreery has performed live for years, gets its proper studio treatment. Kris Kristofferson’s “Why Me, Lord?” reflects how McCreery feels about the last 15 years. And “Been a Good Run,” a new original co-written by McCreery, Rodney Clawson, Monty Criswell, and Derek George, brings genuine nostalgia to a project already loaded with it.
