Texas-born five-piece Treaty Oak Revival has announced a massive 2026 U.S. headline tour, the “West Texas Degenerate” Tour, in support of their acclaimed new self-released album, ‘West Texas Degenerate’. Air Brings Dreamy Soundscapes to NPR Tiny Desk

French electronic duo Air brought their signature laid-back cool to the Tiny Desk, effortlessly transforming distressed dreams into symphonies heavy with emotion. Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, currently celebrating the anniversary of their debut album, opened the set with “Le Voyage de Pénélope,” the piano-driven interstellar fantasia from their 1998 album ‘Moon Safari’. The band followed this with “Cherry Blossom Girl” from ‘Talkie Walkie’, stripping the sweet love song back to acoustic guitar, a sparse Rhodes melody, and close harmonies, captivating the audience.

Their performance featured material from their influential catalog, including two tracks from their score for Sofia Coppola’s 1999 film, The Virgin Suicides. Watching Air perform “Highschool Lover” and “Dirty Trip” behind the Desk evoked a collective memory for the audience, re-living the awkward encounters and impossible-to-describe feelings of their teenage selves. Surrounded by vintage synths and keys, the band proved that while their music is sonically light, its emotional power is immense.

Ice Spice Drops New Single “Thootie” Marking First Time Rapping in Spanish

Four-time GRAMMY-nominated Bronx phenom Ice Spice, the Princess of New York, has dropped her new single “Thootie,” featuring Tokischa, released via 10K Projects/Capitol Records. This collaboration, produced by RiotUSA, marks a major first in her career: Ice Spice is speaking Spanish for the first time on a track, seamlessly trading bars in both English and Spanish in her second verse, paying homage to her Dominican heritage and cultural roots. She shared: “It’s the first-time people are actually hearing me speak or rap in Spanish and it was fun to show another side of who I am, and it’s even more special that I got to do it with Toki.”

Tokischa expressed equal excitement, noting she was thrilled they finally made a song and praising the producers for making a dembow beat that felt authentically hot. The official music video, directed by Richard Cordones with creative direction from Tokischa, was shot in the Dominican Republic, authentically capturing the colorful, vibrant, upbeat energy and culture of the island. This release follows a strong year for Ice Spice, who recently unveiled the original track “Big Guy” for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants and lent her voice to a character in the film.

Ice Spice continues her calculated level up, building on the success of her official debut album ‘Y2K!’, which featured hits like “Gimmie A Light” and “Think U The Shit (Fart).” Her previous collaborations with megastars like Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, along with her own singles “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Princess Diana,” have powered her to over 2.5 billion streams and multiple top 5 Billboard Hot 100 singles. With 2026 on the horizon, the star who built her career on confidence and raw sound plans to continue making varied soundscapes her playground.
