Bliss in Motion: Seamlessly Weaving BlissTrax into Your Daily Yoga Routine

0

By Mitch Rice

Yoga is more than just movement; it’s a complete mind-body practice that connects breath, posture, intention, and inner awareness. But even the most dedicated yogis occasionally find their routine losing its depth or energy. That’s where sound can transform the experience. By integrating soundscapes that encourage deeper focus and emotional flow, yoga practitioners can reawaken their passion for daily movement. BlissTrax offers a curated library of adaptive music experiences designed to energize, soothe, or center the body and mind.

We will explore how incorporating BlissTrax into your yoga flow can heighten awareness, reduce distractions, and create a truly immersive practice that aligns with your internal rhythms. Accessing their curated soundscapes through the BlissTrax website allows you to tailor your sessions to suit your mood, energy, and goals. The connection between movement and music can enhance both performance and presence, turning a simple session into something dynamic and meditative. The following breakdown offers a fresh approach to layering BlissTrax into your yoga journey for lasting impact.

Enhancing Your Yoga Experience with BlissTrax Soundscapes

  1. Set the Mood with Intention-Based Tracks

Before stepping onto the mat, many practitioners take a moment to center themselves. This opening intention can guide the emotional and physical arc of the entire session. BlissTrax supports this mental shift by offering mood-based tracks to elevate or ground the practitioner’s mindset. For example, selecting a “Recharge” or “Focus” soundscape may help clear residual thoughts and reset your energy if you’re entering your practice after a long, draining day.

Alternatively, morning routines may benefit from gentle, rhythmic tracks that slowly awaken the nervous system. These soundscapes harmonize with brainwave states, making it easier to move into mindfulness without forcing the transition. Over time, starting each session with a track tailored to your emotional state can create a neurological cue for deeper engagement. Eventually, just pressing play may signal to your body it’s time to breathe, stretch, and let go. Intention-based audio is a simple yet powerful entry into a more fulfilling yoga routine.

  1. Flow in Sync with Tempo-Aligned Movement

Yoga often demands a heightened awareness of pacing. Whether holding a pose or transitioning through vinyasa sequences, syncing your breath and movement with rhythm can promote consistency and reduce physical strain. BlissTrax excels in providing tempo-specific tracks that mirror the natural cadence of yoga flow. Rather than working against a generic playlist, these tracks are designed to align with your tempo and amplify your internal timing.

For instance, slow-flow or yin yoga may call for ambient backgrounds that encourage prolonged stillness, while power yoga benefits from steady, low-end pulses that drive movement without overwhelming it. By choosing a track that matches your planned sequence, you support muscle memory, improve transitions, and avoid the cognitive fatigue that comes from adjusting to mismatched beats. BlissTrax becomes less of a soundtrack and more of a companion, keeping time with your body’s rhythm rather than dictating it. This balance can be particularly valuable for solo practitioners seeking consistency without external instruction.

  1. Support Deep Stretching and Recovery with Ambient Layers

One of the most overlooked yet rewarding parts of any yoga practice is the closing sequence, particularly savasana or restorative poses. These moments of stillness and surrender are where the nervous system recalibrates, digestion improves, and the body integrates the benefits of movement. However, it’s also when mental chatter is most likely to return. BlissTrax can help hold the container for deep relaxation through ambient compositions designed for downregulation.

These tracks use layered harmonics, long decays, and low-frequency vibrations to signal the body to shift from sympathetic “fight or flight” modes into parasympathetic rest states. The music does not demand attention but provides a safe, auditory cushion that reinforces stillness and internal focus. Over time, ending each session with such auditory cues creates a neural habit of surrender. Practitioners report feeling more emotionally grounded, physically soothed, and less rushed after incorporating these ambient layers. It becomes a ritualized endcap to your flow that lingers long after the music stops.

  1. Use Sound Cues for Breathing and Postural Awareness

BlissTrax also allows users to explore sound as a guide for breathwork and alignment. Rather than relying solely on verbal cues, certain tracks are engineered with sound markers or shifts in frequency that correspond to inhales, exhales, or postural changes. This auditory scaffolding can help practitioners stay present in each movement and avoid overthinking sequencing. For example, a rising frequency might indicate an inhale and upward stretch, while a low, descending tone can cue an exhale into a forward fold. These subtle, non-intrusive sound cues build sensory awareness over time.

This is particularly useful for practitioners who struggle to maintain focus or those working on improving their breath-to-movement coordination. The need for mental instruction lessens as the body begins to respond naturally to these audio prompts. You begin to move intuitively, listening with more than just your ears. Integrating this kind of sensory feedback into yoga builds a deeper connection between mind, body, and breath—one that can be developed without external validation or complex instruction.

Integrating BlissTrax into your yoga routine is not just about adding music to movement—it’s about elevating the entire sensory and emotional experience of practice. Whether you’re seeking deeper focus, better rhythm, enhanced relaxation, or intuitive breathwork, sound becomes a catalyst rather than a background feature. By choosing intention-based audio, aligning tracks with your flow tempo, and ending with calming frequencies, you can craft a yoga experience that feels immersive and adaptive to your evolving needs. The more you integrate sound into your routine, the more it becomes a natural extension of your movement. Over time, this auditory guidance strengthens internal awareness, helping your practice grow with presence and purpose, on and off the mat.

Royel Otis Announce New Album ‘hickey’ and 2025 Tour With Stops Across North America and Europe

0

Today, Royel Otis have announced the news that their much-anticipated sophomore album, titled hickey, will be released on August 22nd.

hickey comes just a year after the band’s shimmering debut album, PRATTS & PAIN (February 2024). The pair have been in the States playing pop up shows across the coasts giving fans a taste of what to expect alongside the release of their first single off the album, “moody.” Speaking to the album’s title, Royel Otis shared “…because love bites harder than any other emotion in the world.”

While the band is currently on a tear through just about every festival worth attending — including Governor’s Ball (New York City), Lollapalooza (Chicago), Outside Lands (San Francisco), and more — Royel Otis also recently announced their upcoming “meet me in the car” tour which will find them headlining cities across North America. The pair have already sold out major cities such as Austin, TX and New York City. Visit https://www.royelotis.com/tour/ for more info or see below for full tour routing.

Royel Otis have already earned a reputation not just for their charmed indie rock, but also a live show that puts the pair’s creative chemistry on full display. To celebrate the launch of their new musical era in May, they played back-to-back gigs at West Hollywood’s storied Troubadour which sold out within minutes. Fans lucky enough to attend were treated to more unreleased music.

Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic’s chance meeting feels almost destined. They were both working at bars and cafes in the same neighborhood (the beachside town of Bondi) before getting together one day in 2019 with their guitars and some song sketches. And without any expectations, they soon spotted it: an unspoken chemistry that resulted in effortless rock wonders, new tunes that somehow seemed as if they’d always existed. The rest of the world would soon follow suit when the pair became true breakout acts both online and in rock clubs alike with early charmers such as “Oysters in My Pocket” (Bar & Grill EP, 2022) and “Sofa King” (Going Kokomo EP, 2023). Then came their soaring debut album called PRATTS & PAIN and the legendary run that catapulted the band to indie-rock infamy, globally.

The album was named for the south London pub where the pair would pen lyrics between sessions with GRAMMY nominated Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., Caroline Polachek) and bore hits like “Fried Rice” and “Foam.” Preceding the album’s release in February of 2024, was the pair’s Triple J “Like A Version” recording, taking on Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder on The Dancefloor.” The performance became a zeitgeist shaping hit, eventually hitting #1 on Alternative U.S. Radio Chart, #2 on Billboard Alternative Airplay, #5 on Billboard Rock & Alternative and rounding out at the #2 position on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2024 charts, earlier this year.

Their twilit cover of the Cranberries’ “Linger,” cut for a Sirius XM Session a few months later, led the band to their first Billboard Hot 100 hit and currently has over 220 million global streams. With the demand for live shows at a high, the guys played more than 100 sold out shows the rest of 2024, selling over 100,000 tickets across Australia, U.K, Europe and U.S. This included multiple nights in major cities like New York (Brooklyn Steel), Chicago (Metro & The Salt Shed) and Los Angeles (The Bellweather).

The pair returned home to Australia later that year as one of the most nominated artists at the 2024 ARIA Awards (Australia’s biggest and prestigious music award shows); and went on to win four awards including “Best Rock Album” and “Best Group.”

Since their culmination, Royel Otis have drawn from an endless source of good hooks and spirit — riding on their musical chemistry that exudes into mixes of melody and bittersweet humor. Whether it is an original body of work or taking on their favorite song, the pair have cemented their status as one of the most effortless and endearing indie rock bands to emerge this decade.

Thom Yorke Unveils Surreal ‘Dialing In’ Video Ahead of Apple TV+ Drama Smoke

0

Launching on June 24th, Radiohead/The Smile visionary Thom Yorke unveils the mind-bending video for his single, ‘Dialing In’, the lead track from Apple TV+’s upcoming Taron Edgerton-starring drama Smoke, premiering June 27th.

Visuals have been created by acclaimed artist Weirdcore, known for surreal, glitch-heavy live show visuals and music videos for the likes of Aphex Twin, M.I.A., Tame Impala, Charli XCX, Louis Vuitton, Miley Cyrus, Oneohtrix Point Never and Arca. A regular collaborator, Weirdcore created all the visuals for The Smile’s 2024 album Cutouts, Yorke’s project with fellow Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood and jazz drummer Tom Skinner, as well as a looping sequence promoting Radiohead’s track ‘Glass Eyes’ in 2016.

Blending digital distortion with organic forms, Weirdcore’s style evokes disorientation, nostalgia, and dreamlike unease – hallmarks of the broader “weirdcore” aesthetic he helped define. On ‘Dialing In’, that aesthetic ignites: scenes from the show bleed and melt into one another like burning celluloid, as faces flicker, warp, and dissolve into fluid, pixelated hallucinations.

Keen fans of Thom Yorke may already be familiar with ‘Dialing In’. Originally titled ‘Gawpers’, the unreleased track has been a regular in Yorke’ live show since 2019, containing parallels with the themes of Smoke, having been fine-tuned to underscore the show’s themes even further. In typical style of the Grammy and Ivo Novello-awarded artist, ‘Dialing In’ is a melancholy number, putting his distinct vocals against fragile glass-like bells, dancing like flames, unaware of the brooding atmosphere building like a steadily consuming fire beneath.

The music video for ‘Dialing In’ lands on June 24th, three days ahead of the anticipated global launch of Smoke on Apple TV+ on the 27th. The audio is available to stream now in both standard and Atmos formats.

Bill McClintock’s Fiery New Mashup Is Literally ‘Hotter Than a Highway to Hell With the Devil’

0

If rock and roll had a final boss, it would sound like this.

Bill McClintock, the undisputed king of mashups and man who laughs in the face of genre boundaries, has unleashed a face-melting, hell-raising, soul-shaking monster of a mix with “Hotter Than a Highway to Hell With the Devil.” What started as a simple fan request turned into a full-on metal inferno — because Bill doesn’t do things halfway, he does them McClintock-style.

This track is the Avengers: Endgame of hair, heat, and harmony. You’ve got the righteous fury of Stryper, the bar-stool blues of AC/DC, and the greasepaint thunder of KISS — all cranked up to 11 and welded together with the kind of precision that makes you question whether this mashup is from heaven, hell, or just somewhere backstage at a 1987 arena show.

But it doesn’t stop there. This track has more classic riffs than a denim jacket has patches. Check out the full playlist of madness:

  • Stryper – To Hell With the Devil
  • AC/DC – Highway to Hell
  • KISS – Hotter Than Hell
  • Mötley Crüe – Shout at the Devil
  • Pantera – Cowboys From Hell
  • Dokken – Into the Fire
  • Def Leppard – Foolin’
  • Vixen – Edge of a Broken Heart
  • AC/DC – Hells Bells
  • Blue Öyster Cult – Burnin’ for You
  • Twisted Sister – Burn in Hell
  • Judas Priest – Devil’s Child
  • Van Halen – Sinner’s Swing
  • Van Halen – And the Cradle Will Rock
  • Van Halen – Jump

It’s a molten metal mixtape. A one-way ticket to the loudest corner of your soul. It’s Hotter Than a Highway to Hell With the Devil, and you won’t believe it until you press play.

Now crank it. And maybe clear a space to throw your horns.

Woman,” and “Prodigal Blues.” Celebrating this seminal album, Idol notably just shared for the first time on his official YouTube channel the original 1990 video for “Prodigal Blues,” remastered in HD.  Preorder Charmed Life HERE

Its Platinum-certified predecessor, Whiplash Smile, first landed on October 20, 1986, vaulting to #6 on the Billboard 200. It impressively delivered a trio of Hot 100 hits, including “To Be A Lover,” “Don’t Need A Gun,” and “Sweet Sixteen.” Preorder Whiplash Smile HERE

See what the press has said and watch Idol’s appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (Performing his new single “77” feat. Avril Lavigne as well as discussing the new record with Kimmel) and “The Drew Barrymore Show” in the interactive one-sheet HERE.

Idol is also the subject of the new documentary film Billy Idol Should Be Dead, which just made its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by three-time Grammy-winner Jonas Åkerlund, Billy Idol Should Be Dead is a feature-length documentary tracing the life and career of the punk pioneer turned rock ‘n’ roll icon. Through never-before-seen archival and personal interviews with Idol, his family, peers and collaborators, the documentary digs deep into his emergence as a prototypical punk rocker, his meteoric rise as a global superstar in the MTV era and the myriad of challenges Idol had to overcome to not just survive, but to remain one of the most beloved figures in rock n roll, almost fifty years into his career.

Additionally, Idol is currently on the road for It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! Fellow superstar Joan Jett & the Blackhearts will join Idol on all shows. Produced by Live Nation, the run of arenas and amphitheaters includes stops at an array of storied venues including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, Merriweather Post Pavilion in  Columbia, MD, and more. GloRilla Unites with Gospel Icons in Triumphant “RAIN DOWN ON ME” Video

0

Grammy-nominated rapper and CMG superstar GloRilla leads a triumphant fellowship with all-star gospel greats Kirk Franklin, Kierra Sheard, Chandler Moore and Maverick City Music in her new music video for “RAIN DOWN ON ME.” In the jubilant video, directed by Benny Boom, the group praises in a sun-drenched scene as we see acts of charity, compassion, healing and baptism that culminate in a soul-stirring testimony.

The video premiere follows “RAIN DOWN ON ME,” from Glo’s RIAA Gold-certified 2024 album GLORIOUS and a No. 1 Hot Gospel Songs hit on Billboard, winning the Bobby Jones Award for Best Inspirational Performance at 2025 BET Awards. “It’s a blessing to get the gospel award first because I owe it all to God,” GloRilla said in her acceptance speech. To accompany her first BET Award win, Big Glo delivered a scorching medley of “LET HER COOK” and new single “Typa,” complete with a surprise Keyshia Cole cameo, mobster-era outfits, and a tap dance interlude that stole the show.

GloRilla’s newest wins double down on the superstar’s domination both on-stage and on the charts. Last week, “Typa” became her 13th entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and debuted immediately as her seventh top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Plus, her feature on j-hope’s “Killin’ It Girl” is off to an explosive start, pulling 25 million Spotify streams in its first week. And following her headlining performances at the 2025 Hot 97 Summer Jam festival and Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash last weekend, GloRilla is set to astonish audiences at next month’s ESSENCE Festival of Culture – building toward her inaugural Glo Bash in her hometown of Memphis on July 25.

Under the guidance of CMG and label founder Yo Gotti, GloRilla reached new heights with her debut album, GLORIOUS, which arrived in October 2024 to widespread critical and commercial acclaim. It debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, earned the highest debut week for a female rapper in 2024 and was the year’s best-selling female rap album on the strength of hit records “TGIF,” “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME,” with Sexyy Red and “I LUV HER” with T-Pain. Momentum only continued with further hits “Yeah Glo!,” “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and a Top 10 Hot 100 entry via Tyler, The Creator’s all-star anthem “Sticky,” and a magical feature run in 2025 including standout appearances on j-hope’s “Killin’ It Girl,” Lil Baby’s “Red Bone,” Teddy Swims’ “She Got It,” and GELO’s “Can You Please.”

Earlier this year, GloRilla was honored with the ‘Powerhouse Award’ at Billboard’s Women in Music gala, cementing her place as one of hip-hop’s most electrifying voices.

Bob Dylan Announces First Art Book in a Decade, ‘Point Blank (Quick Studies)’

0

Bob Dylan has announced the release a new book of drawings titled Point Blank (Quick Studies) on November 18, the first major publication of his artwork in over a decade, featuring nearly 100 never-before-seen drawings.

Bob Dylan is a master at telling stories, creating moods and provoking feelings—not only in music and the written word but also in visual art, which he has been creating since the 1960s. This publication of his art features nearly 100 black-and-white drawings that were completed between 2021 and 2022 and served as the basis for his latest exhibition—also titled Point Blank—at London’s Halcyon Gallery in early 2025. The works vary between portraits, still lifes, and landscapes: roller-skating lovers, a suit of armor, a suspension bridge, a karaoke singer, a roll of Scotch tape, a Parisian canal, a man with a crooked smile. Accompanying the artwork are short prose vignettes written by Eddie Gorodetsky, Jackie Hamilton and Lucy Sante that further enhance the images’ evocativeness. Dylan’s ability to find beauty and mystery in the seemingly mundane is one of his great gifts—and the gift he’s continually given to the public over the years, including now with Point Blank.
