Lewis Capaldi Returns with Bold Single “Survive” and Donates 734,000 Therapy Hours Through BetterHelp Partnership

0

After two years away from the spotlight, Lewis Capaldi broke the silence and made a courageous return to music with his new chart-topping single “Survive” – a bold, brave anthem that addresses a challenging period in his career that peaked at Glastonbury in 2023. Capaldi cites therapy as the reason he was able to return to music, and he wants others to have access to the same support. To do this, he’s teaming up with BetterHelp, the world’s largest online therapy platform, to share his own mental health experience and give away 734,000 hours of free online therapy (honoring Capaldi’s 734-day break to focus on his mental health) – providing fans a free month of BetterHelp.

As part of the partnership, Capaldi released an exclusive video chat for BetterHelp chronicling for the first time his mental health experience during his two year break – including how he navigated anxiety and how mental health support got him to where he is today. In it, he shares how finding the right therapist and engaging in therapy has helped him to “feel the best he’s felt.” View the video here.

“Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again,” said Capaldi. “I don’t think I’ll ever stop going to therapy after the impact it’s had on my life over the past two years. I want to support my fans as they’ve supported me, which is why I’m donating 734,000 hours together with BetterHelp.”

Capaldi said anxiety had “overtaken” him by the end of his 2023 tour – when his mental health challenges reached their peak. The Scottish superstar made the decision to step away from music and focus on his mental health. Capaldi has now come full circle, making a triumphant return to Glastonbury, with a surprise performance that made it clear he is not just surviving, he’s come back even stronger, watch here.

“We’ve seen through our data that globally 3 in 4 people agree that seeking mental health support is important, yet most people are afraid to ask for help,” said Sara Brooks, Chief Growth Officer of BetterHelp. “To have someone as globally recognized as Lewis Capaldi share so authentically how getting help through online therapy has transformed his life is incredibly powerful. We’re grateful to have Lewis speak up and use his platform to help break down the stigma of therapy.”

Ray LaMontagne Reschedules 20th Anniversary ‘Trouble’ Tour to 2026 Following Oral Surgery Recovery

0

Due to a lengthy healing process after an unexpected oral surgery, Ray LaMontagne’s 2025 North America Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour with The Weather Station has been rescheduled to 2026. All previously issued tickets will be honored only for their show’s new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled performance, please contact your original point of purchase for further assistance.

Find the full updated routing below and purchase tickets here.

The tour will see LaMontagne performing his seminal debut album Trouble in its entirety for the first time since its release. As part of the momentous 20th anniversary, LaMontagne has shared a special remastered vinyl edition of the album, marking the second full-length release on LaMontagne’s own Liula Records—purchase/share here.

Upon the album’s initial release in 2004, Trouble saw rave reviews from the BBC, who proclaimed it “A classic—listen incessantly,” echoed by NPR, which praised it as “timeless, cathartic and uplifting… LaMontagne has a hit debut record.” Drowned in Sound named LaMontagne “an artist who you have never heard of but has the potential to change your life in a moment,” while MOJO raved, “LaMontagne is blessed with a wood-smoky Paul Rodgers-meets-Norah Jones delivery, oozing the rough-hewn sensitivity of mid-’70s Marlboro ads and Kris Kristofferson movies… He’s something special indeed.” Trouble charted on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The North American leg of the tour will see stops at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Toronto’s Massey Hall, and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and will finish with three nights in New York at Beacon Theatre. The Weather Station will support. LaMontagne’s 2026 rescheduled shows in Toronto and Greenville, SC, will be announced at a later date.

In the UK and Ireland, LaMontagne will make stops at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, and London’s Royal Albert Hall and Eventim Apollo.

LaMontagne has spent the past two decades carving a singular space for himself in modern music. In a career that has seen overflowing critical acclaim, he’s opted out of the spotlight and its accompanying celebrity in the remote hills of western Massachusetts. The New York Times accounts: “Visiting Ray LaMontagne is like going back to another century.” His distinctive voice, described by Rolling Stone as an “impeccably weathered tenor croon,” continues to serve as a conduit for era-defining melodies and songwriting. Across nine studio albums, LaMontagne has let his songs and story speak for themselves, ringing a deep chord in the American subconscious.

10 Dream Pop Songs That Feel Like Floating

Dream pop is the sound of drifting through fog, of staring at your ceiling at 3 a.m., of walking home while the city blurs around you. It’s synths that shimmer, vocals that barely touch the ground, and guitars that sound like ghosts with reverb pedals. When it’s good, dream pop hovers.

Here are 10 dream pop tracks that feel like floating, each one a cloud you can crawl into.

1. “Sweetness and Light” – Lush
Jangly guitars, gauzy vocals, and just the right amount of disorientation. Lush was Britpop’s dreamy cousin, and this track from Gala is like watching sunlight ripple underwater.

2. “Under the Sun” – DIIV
This one’s like running in slow motion through a memory. DIIV blends shoegaze and dream pop into something restless but gentle, and “Under the Sun” manages to sound urgent and weightless at once.

3. “Only Shallow” – My Bloody Valentine
The opening track from Loveless hits like a velvet sledgehammer. Kevin Shields’ pitch-bending guitars and Bilinda Butcher’s barely-there vocals make this the Mount Everest of dream pop. You don’t listen—you get swallowed.

4. “To the End” – Blur
Often lumped in with Britpop’s louder moments, “To the End” is a cinematic outlier. Strings swirl, voices echo, and everything feels like the last dance at a sad French wedding.

5. “Love at First Sight” –  Eric “Ace” Knight featuring Spook
Dream pop doesn’t have to be sleepy. This track is joyful, affirming, and queer—and still drenched in hazy guitars and soft-spoken charm. Think if Alvvays drank more coffee.

6. “Iceblink Luck” – Cocteau Twins
You can’t do dream pop without Cocteau Twins. “Iceblink Luck” is among their most accessible tracks, but it still sounds like Elizabeth Fraser is singing directly to your subconscious in a language only your heart understands.

7. “Fade Into You” – Mazzy Star
The quintessential dream pop ballad. Hope Sandoval’s voice barely lifts off the ground, and that slide guitar? It’s heartbreak in slow motion. Still undefeated in late-night longing.

8. “When the Sun Hits” – Slowdive
Slowdive has always specialized in sonic mist. This track builds like a sunrise through fog—warm, radiant, but always a little unreachable. It’s dream pop with shoegaze muscles.

9. “Space Song” – Beach House
Possibly the most iconic modern dream pop track. With its hypnotic synth line and Victoria Legrand’s velvet vocals, “Space Song” feels like a slow-motion fall through the cosmos.

10. “Drive” – The Sundays
A lesser-known deep cut, “Drive” is all chiming guitars and Harriet Wheeler’s crystalline voice. It’s the sound of a rainy afternoon turning into golden hour, melancholy and magical.

If you’ve ever wanted to dissolve into sound, this playlist’s for you. Dream pop isn’t about getting anywhere fast. It’s about drifting, feeling, and letting go of gravity—one shimmer, one sigh, one ghostly chord at a time.

So press play, close your eyes, and float.

10 Tips for Playing House Shows That Lead to Bigger Gigs

You don’t need a fancy lighting rig or a million-dollar tour bus to get your career off the ground. Just ask Ed Sheeran, who played hundreds of living rooms before topping stadium bills. Or Julien Baker, who went from DIY house tours to playing with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus in boygenius. House shows are more than just cozy jam sessions—they’re test grounds, launchpads, and sometimes, life-changers.

So if you’re stepping into someone’s living room with a guitar and a dream, here are 10 tips to make that house show lead to bigger stages—and bigger opportunities.

1. Treat Every House Show Like It’s Madison Square Garden
Just because it’s a basement in Burlington doesn’t mean it’s not your big break. Your energy sets the tone. If you play like it matters, it will matter. That’s how artists turned early DIY tours into loyal fanbases—they gave everything, every time.

2. Make Friends, Not Just Fans
A house show isn’t just a performance—it’s a hang. Stick around after your set. Ask people their names. Crash on a couch if you have to. Word of mouth will get you farther than any algorithm can. Bon Iver’s early shows were less concerts, more community.

3. Build a Set That Works Unplugged
Big amps and pyrotechnics? Not here. Your set should thrive in intimate, raw spaces. Think stripped-down, emotionally charged, and tightly arranged. Be that artist who built their early buzz off living-room performances that left people in tears—with no mic.

4. Get the Host on Your Side
The host is your promoter, venue manager, and social glue all in one. Respect their space. Promote their event. Ask how you can help. If they’re impressed, you’ll get invited back—and introduced to other hosts.

5. Collect Emails Like They’re Vinyl
Yes, social media matters. But nothing beats direct contact. Pass around a notebook. Offer a download in exchange. That intimate crowd? They’re more likely to open an email from you than scroll past your tweet.

6. Film It (Smartly)
A packed house show with a vibey crowd? Gold for TikTok, Instagram, or your EPK. Shoot snippets—maybe a vertical acoustic song with people clapping along. Artists in the past have exploded in part because their living room sessions felt like something you wanted to be part of.

7. Create Merch That Fits the Mood
You’re not selling out an arena—yet. So skip the $60 hoodie and go for a handwritten lyric sheet, a burned CD, or a $10 T-shirt. Keep it personal. People love a souvenir from a night they’ll remember forever.

8. Say Yes to the Weird Ones
Garage in Detroit? Rooftop in Montreal? Kitchen gig in Saskatoon? If it sounds strange but feels right, do it. Those offbeat shows often come with the most devoted fans and future collaborators.

9. Ask for One Thing: One Name
At every show, ask someone: “Do you know another place I should play?” That’s how you build a tour. One room leads to another.

10. Remember: The Goal Isn’t Escape—It’s Connection
Don’t treat house shows like stepping stones you’re desperate to leave behind. They’re the roots of something bigger. A&R reps and bookers are watching for artists who can turn 20 people into a movement. If you can light up a living room, you can fill a theatre.

Big gigs don’t just happen. They’re earned in borrowed spaces, with borrowed speakers, and borrowed time. But every sold-out venue starts with someone saying: “I saw them play in my buddy’s basement once, and they were incredible.” That story could be about you.

Now go make some noise—quietly.

Sweet Sounds for Sugar Cookie Day: 10 Songs to Sprinkle Into Your Playlist

Today isn’t just any other day—it’s Sugar Cookie Day, and that means it’s time to turn on the oven, bust out the sprinkles, and crank up a sugary-sweet playlist that’s as irresistible as a warm cookie fresh out of the oven. Whether you’re decorating cookies or dancing in the kitchen, these 10 songs are the perfect sonic snacks to celebrate.

So grab your apron—and maybe a glass of milk—and let the sweet tunes roll.

1. “American Pie” – Don McLean
A classic that’s as nostalgic as your grandma’s cookie recipe. This bittersweet slice of Americana feels like biting into a memory.

2. “Brown Sugar” – The Rolling Stones
This crunchy rock staple might be spicy in more ways than one, but it’s undeniably catchy—and adds a little edge to your sugar high.

3. “Cake by the Ocean” – DNCE
Sugary, chaotic, and just the right amount of messy. It’s the perfect soundtrack for icing mishaps and frosting-covered counters.

4. “Candy” – Mandy Moore
Pop at its finest. If sugar cookies could sing in the early 2000s, they’d probably sound like this.

5. “I Want Candy” – Bow Wow Wow
Punchy, bold, and sweet enough to give your playlist a jolt. It’s basically the musical version of sneaking raw cookie dough.

6. “Lollipop” – The Chordettes
Light, playful, and full of vintage charm. It’s an old-school treat for your ears while your cookies bake to golden perfection.

7. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” – Def Leppard
Sticky, loud, and made for dancing around the kitchen. This anthem brings a little rock ‘n’ roll to your sugar-sweet celebration.

8. “Savoy Truffle” – The Beatles
George Harrison’s ode to sugary indulgence. It’s weird, whimsical, and oddly perfect for a cookie-fueled day.

9. “Sugar” – Maroon 5
Glossy, modern pop with just enough emotional syrup to satisfy. The music video even has a wedding cake moment—very on brand.

10. “Sugar, Sugar” – The Archies
The unofficial theme song of Sugar Cookie Day. It’s sweet, simple, and impossible not to sing along with while you’re frosting stars and snowmen.

Sugar cookies are blank canvases for creativity—just like a good playlist. So whether you like your treats iced and fancy or plain and golden-brown, let these songs add an extra dash of fun to your celebration. Happy Sugar Cookie Day, and don’t forget to save a few for yourself (and your speakers).

Using Kie.ai’s Veo 3 API: A New Toolkit for Video Creators

0

By Mitch Rice

The world of video creation is exploding. Whether you’re a filmmaker building your first experimental short, or a brand trying to grab eyeballs on TikTok, the demand for fresh, high-quality video has never been higher. But here’s the catch: crafting cinematic, visually stunning videos usually means big budgets, huge teams, and countless hours.

Enter the next frontier — AI video generation. And at the center of this revolution sits Google’s Veo 3, a game-changing technology that can turn a simple text prompt or an image into a fully produced, 1080p cinematic video — complete with synchronized audio, realistic motion, and consistent characters — in just minutes.

However, the model alone isn’t enough if you want to actually build and launch real-world creative tools. That’s where the Veo 3 API comes in. The API makes this powerful model accessible to developers and creators everywhere, turning cutting-edge research into a practical tool you can integrate into apps, workflows, and creative pipelines.

What Makes Google’s Veo 3 Revolutionary?

What makes the Veo 3 truly revolutionary? In short, it turns video generation into pure creative magic. With just a few lines of text or a single image, this powerful AI video tool can create cinematic, 1080p visuals complete with synchronized audio, dynamic lighting, and smooth camera motion — no big budgets or film crews needed.

One of its most jaw-dropping features is synchronized audio generation. The Veo 3 doesn’t just create silent visuals — it generates fully synced soundscapes, including dialogue, sound effects, and ambient noise. Imagine typing “a futuristic city at sunset, with neon lights and bustling hovercars,” and instantly getting a video complete with the hum of engines, city chatter, and a moody synth track in the background.

Another massive breakthrough is character consistency. In previous AI video models, characters would often change or glitch between scenes, making narrative storytelling almost impossible. With Veo 3, you can maintain the same character look and feel across multiple shots — essential for creators building stories, music videos, or brand narratives.

The Challenges of Accessing Veo 3 API

As powerful as the Veo 3 model is, actually getting your hands on the Veo 3 API — and integrating it into real projects — isn’t always easy. For many developers and creative teams, the excitement quickly turns into frustration when they realize what’s involved behind the scenes.

First, there’s the high cost. Many platforms offering Veo 3 API access charge premium rates that make large-scale experimentation or frequent content creation nearly impossible for smaller teams or independent creators. Then, there are regional restrictions. Depending on where you’re located, accessing the API directly can be limited or even blocked, leaving global creators cut off from one of the most exciting tools in video AI. On top of that, integrating the Veo 3 API can require a steep learning curve — from complex documentation to figuring out how to manage costs and scale production. For creators used to fast, intuitive workflows, this can feel like hitting a brick wall.

In short, while the Veo 3 API holds incredible promise, turning that promise into reality requires overcoming some serious technical and financial barriers. And that’s exactly where smart, developer-friendly solutions like Kie.ai step in to make the magic truly accessible.

Key Advantages of Using Kie.ai for Veo 3 API

Flexible and Affordable Veo 3 API Pricing

Kie.ai offers the most competitive Veo 3 API pricing on the market: just $2 for an 8-second Veo 3 Quality video and an unbeatable $0.4 for 8 seconds in Veo 3 Fast mode. With a simple credit-based system — no subscriptions— you stay in control of your budget and scale as needed.

Global Unrestricted Access

Many platforms limit access by region or require special approval, blocking creators around the world from using advanced video AI. Kie.ai removes these barriers entirely, offering seamless, unrestricted access to the Veo 3 API from anywhere. Whether you’re in Los Angeles, Berlin, Mumbai, or São Paulo, you get the same full creative power.

Developer-Friendly Design

Kie.ai makes integration effortless with clear, detailed Veo 3 API documentation and real, production-ready code samples. Even better, a dedicated technical support team is always on standby to help troubleshoot, guide, and optimize your setup — so you can spend more time creating and less time figuring out how things work.

Hayley Williams’ Isolated Vocals For Paramore’s “crushcrushcrush”

“crushcrushcrush” is a driving, brooding alt-rock track that blends obsession, secrecy, and power with Hayley Williams’ signature bite. Fueled by chugging guitars and explosive hooks, it became one of Riot!’s defining singles and a live show staple. The song captures Paramore’s early angst and polished rebellion in one dark, infectious mood.

If you’ve ever thought about how amazing it would be to have a home theater, you’re not alone. Whether you’re a diehard sports fan, a serious film buff, or just love a good binge-watch, the idea has probably crossed your mind. However, you might have wondered if adding a home theater has any real benefits, or if it’s just an expensive luxury that you’ll later regret. Sound familiar? You’re in the right place. Here are all the best reasons to invest in a home theater.

Convenience and Customization

Unsurprisingly, one of the main advantages of home theaters are their inherent convenience. Everybody loves a good movie, but nobody likes the overpriced snacks and often disruptive crowds you encounter at the local theater. With a home theater, you can choose exactly what you want to watch and when, enjoying all types of media in a space that’s tailored to you. This means you can customize your lighting, seating, and screen size to fit your exact preferences, so your watching experience is even better than at the cinema.

Immersive Sound and High-Resolution Picture

While streaming on your regular TV does the job, there’s nothing quite like the high-resolution visuals and surround sound you can achieve with a good home theater. Choosing the speakers that give you the most immersive audio, picking a high-resolution projector, and getting a quality screen bring your favorite stories to life like never before.

Comfort and Space for Everyone

If you entertain frequently or have a big family, installing a home theater offers an amazing opportunity to get everyone together for movie marathons, game days, or the latest episode of your current series fixation. Having a fun, cozy spot where everyone can gather ensures everyone stays entertained and lets your hangouts last as long as you want. Plus, you won’t have to struggle to find enough seating or squint to see a small screen like you might in a regular TV room.

Increased Home Value and Appeal

Here’s where a home theater provides more benefits than simply enjoyment—installing one can actually add significant value to your property. If you have a modern, well-designed entertainment space, the majority of prospective buyers consider this a plus when house hunting. This can help your home make an impression and attract a higher asking price. So, whether you’re thinking ahead about selling in the future or just want to improve your home, building a theater is a worthwhile investment.

Considerations and Cleanup

Of course, installing a home theater might mean some renovation or construction work. If you’re upgrading an existing room or building out a new space, there might be debris or clutter to clear away before you can truly enjoy it. When you need to easily dispose of large amounts of waste from your home theater project, look into options like short-term dumpster rentals that could make cleanup easier.

Conclusion

By installing a home theater, you can completely transform the way you enjoy your entertainment. Whether you want to make memories with your loved ones or just experience a higher-quality viewing experience, this project might be perfect for you. And, with benefits like increasing your home’s market value, investing in a personal home theater is a smart choice across the board. It’s an upgrade that tangibly improves your home, both for your short-term satisfaction and long-term return on investment.
