ERRA Announce New Album ‘silence outlives the earth,’ Share Single “further eden”

0

Metalcore group ERRA have announced their new album ‘silence outlives the earth’, set to be released on March 6th via UNFD. The record explores themes of existence and the human condition, featuring previous releases “gore of being” and “echo sonata” alongside new single “further eden.” Guitarist Jesse Cash shares: “‘further eden’ was a song that Clint started and we built upon in the studio. The pentatonic leaning roots the song into a lighter energy than we typically employ, and the song feels like a fresh form of expression from the band. We were specific about wanting the music video and accompanying visuals to reflect that lightness.”

ERRA will embark on a six week North American tour this spring, co-headlining with Currents. The tour kicks off on March 6th in Baltimore, with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York, Denver, Anaheim, Dallas, and more. Dave Matthews Band Releases ‘Take Me Back Live From The Gorge’ Featuring First Full Performance Of ‘Before These Crowded Streets’

0

Dave Matthews Band will release ‘Take Me Back Live From The Gorge’, a landmark live album recorded during their annual Labor Day weekend 2025 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state. The weekend marked the first time that Dave Matthews Band played ‘Before These Crowded Streets’ in its entirety in concert. The project will be available digitally on February 6th, with CD and LP editions arriving May 22nd via ATO Records. Released on April 28, 1998, and now certified quadruple platinum, ‘Before These Crowded Streets’ was the band’s first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. As the sets unfolded last Labor Day weekend, fans slowly realized they were witnessing something unprecedented: song after song from ‘Before These Crowded Streets’, performed in sequence. Hearing it performed in full at the Gorge created a moment that many fans immediately recognized as historic.

‘Take Me Back’ captures the Saturday, August 30, 2025 performance, the only rendition of ‘Before These Crowded Streets’ in its entirety, which unfolded over a 95-minute set marked by bold improvisation and renewed exploration of the 1998 album. The show kicked off with a rare set-opening rendition of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower,” followed by “You Never Know” and “It Could Happen,” before Béla Fleck & the Flecktones surprised the crowd with an early appearance on “#41.” The band then launched into album opener “Pantala Naga Pampa,” stretching and reshaping the material with expansive instrumental passages. Fleck returned for dynamic takes on “The Last Stop” and “Don’t Drink the Water,” and the long-rumored, rarely performed album closer “Spoon” marked a defining moment of the evening. The band welcomed Jake Simpson on violin for “Satellite” and “Tripping Billies,” before closing with an encore of “What Would You Say.”

From February 13-15, the three 2025 Gorge shows will air for the first time on Volta, where fans can watch the Director’s Cut or take control with Volta’s multiview feature. Dave Matthews Band returns to the Gorge September 4-6 as part of their summer US headline tour, with supporting acts including Stephen Wilson Jr. and Infinity Song on Friday, Watchhouse and Jonah Kagen on Saturday, and Jesse Welles and Sierra Hull on Sunday. Kicking off May 8th at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, the tour includes a milestone run marking the band’s 50th headlining performance at Saratoga Springs’ SPAC and Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

The Maine Unveil “Die To Fall” From Tenth Studio Album ‘Joy Next Door’

0

The Maine have unveiled “Die To Fall,” the first taste of new music from their forthcoming tenth studio album ‘Joy Next Door’, set for an April 10th release date. The propulsive, synth-drenched anthem finds vocalist John O’Callaghan in a moment of reflection and release, singing “I wish that dream came true/ where I don’t pull my parachute/ And I feel alive.” O’Callaghan explains the personal nature of the track: “Most of the personal friction I’ve felt during the making of this record has derived from having to face my own struggle with feeling like I have everything I could have ever dreamed of, yet I can’t seem to allow myself to be fully present and appreciate the weight of a very fortunate life. ‘Die To Fall’ is a dialogue with myself about the desire to let go. Let go of my insecurities, my ego, my worries, let go of ‘me’ for even just a second and truly feel the gravity of all the little moments we can often take for granted.”

Arriving at the height of the band’s career, ‘Joy Next Door’ was written and recorded in sequential order to emphasize the storytelling approach to the album. Following the band’s longstanding tradition of each era relating to a specific color, the ‘Joy Next Door’ era is green. Drummer Pat Kirch notes: “Every album of ours has a color that represents it, and ‘Joy Next Door’ is the green era. The green grass on the album art feels like it matches perfectly with the organic instrumentation and imperfections left intact on the album.” The vibrant and ever-evolving rock band has cultivated over one billion global streams and more than one million followers across social media over their nearly two decade career that’s included nine studio albums, five of which charted on the Billboard 200.

The Maine kick off their first headline tour in nearly two years on March 24th at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas. The 26-date tour finds the beloved five-piece headlining legendary stages across the country from their native Phoenix to Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn and beyond, marking the biggest on sale of their career to date. The band has toured and performed at festivals worldwide, including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, as well as headlining their own sold-out 8123 Fest in their hometown of Tempe, Arizona.

Mike Green Unveils Dynamic Pop Rock Single “Bug” From Forthcoming Album ‘Hang The Moon’

0

Los Angeles music artist Mike Green has unveiled his latest single “Bug,” a vibrant, rhythmic pop rock track that paves the way for his forthcoming album ‘Hang The Moon’. The single is imbued with a dynamic feeling of movement, a tune you can dance to, but with a darker edge as Green probes dilemmas in the manner we navigate structures that seem artificially made, still, and hauntingly familiar. The track pulses forward with cinematic drive, carrying the feeling of someone pacing inside a system they’ve begun to see too clearly. Green manages to express a mix of bewilderment and resolve as he examines how cycles repeat with near-perfect precision, how disorder can mimic design, and how the pressures of modern life blur the line between what’s imposed and what we inherit. The single will be available across all platforms, while the full ‘Hang The Moon’ album will be exclusive to spatial audio supported services such as Apple, Amazon, Tidal, and Deezer, with vinyl editions offered solely through Bandcamp.

The song hooks the listener with contrasting elements: a sharp, vibrant chorus that shines through a shadowy, suspicious mood. The rhythm section functions like a metronome for the panic inside, calm on the surface but flickering underneath. This is the sound of a person observing their surroundings and figuring out that they cannot tell if the cracks they see have always been there or if they are just now waking up to them. “Bug” serves as a signal for the concept that is the ‘Hang The Moon’ album, dealing with themes of repetition, inequality, and the friction between the things we are taught to accept and the things we feel underneath them.

Welsh Soul Sensation SJ Hill Returns With Emotional New Single ‘Spell On Me’

0

Welsh soul sensation SJ Hill returns with ‘Spell On Me’, his most emotional and dramatic release yet exploring a love so powerful it lifts you, destroys you, and pulls you deeper even when you know you should walk away. Following the viral success of his previous single ‘Tonight’, which garnered 1.4 million Instagram views and over 40,000 streams, Hill cements his place as one of Wales’ most compelling emerging voices. “It’s about the type of relationship when you know someone is bad for you, but you keep coming back because they lift you up and break you down in equal measure,” Hill explains. Co-written with longtime friend and collaborator Tommy John, the track explores emotional duality, addiction to chaos, and the feeling of being under someone’s spell. Blending raw, confessional lyricism with melodic, hypnotic hooks and powerhouse soul vocals, the song delivers the same emotional depth found in artists like Hozier, Rag’n’Bone Man, and Lewis Capaldi.

Hill’s voice has taken him from local stages to global attention, with features on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and BBC Radio Wales A-List. He has performed at venues including Wembley Arena and O2 Academy London, reached the X-Factor bootcamp in 2017, won an episode of ITV’s ‘Romeo & Duet’, and reached the semi-finals of LLIAS The Welsh Voice. Such achievements led to him entertaining guests including John Legend, Chrissy Teigan, and Chris Martin at this year’s prestigious New Year’s Eve party at Soneva Jani Resort in the Maldives.

Hill created ‘Spell On Me’ in a small, old-school studio in the Rhondda Valley, once a Salvation Army building and now transformed into a creative hub for Welsh talent. The studio, owned and run by Daniel Edwards, has become a place where authenticity and artistry meet. Working alongside Edwards and Tommy John, the song feels deeply tied to Welsh identity and emotional truth, with the heart of Hill’s local community running within

First Look At Sam Mendes’ Beatles Four Film Event With Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan Revealed

0

Sony Pictures has unveiled first look images of Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, and Harris Dickinson in character for ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’, directed by Sam Mendes. Each film focuses on a different band member and will unfold from that member’s unique perspective, with Mescal as Paul McCartney, Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Quinn as George Harrison, and Dickinson as John Lennon. This marks the first time that Apple Corps Ltd. and the Beatles estate have granted full life and music rights for a scripted production. The images initially appeared as postcards hidden around the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, the drama school co-founded by Paul McCartney, as part of a marketing campaign. The project carries a budget of about $100 million per film, totaling over $400 million, with cinematography by Greig Fraser.

Keoghan recently revealed that the group anticipates 15 months of shooting, breaking down to about three to four months of production per film. The ensemble cast also includes Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, James Norton as manager Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey Tigrett, Harry Lloyd as producer George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Aunt Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as road manager Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffman-Gill as roadie Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as press officer Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein. Mendes promised that the multi-part biopic will be the “first binge-able theatrical experience”, though the exact release strategy remains unclear. All four films are currently scheduled to release in theaters on April 7, 2028. The production is being made by Neal Street Productions in association with Apple Corps for Sony Pictures, with Mendes, Pippa Harris, Julie Pastor, and Alexandra Derbyshire producing and Jeff Jones executive producing.

Yot Club Announces Third Album ‘Simpleton,’ Shares “Projecting” And 25-Date North American Tour

0

Yot Club, the multi-platinum indie pop project of LA-based Ryan Kaiser, has announced his self-produced third studio album ‘Simpleton’, arriving April 17th via Amuse. The new single “Projecting” offers the first glimpse of the record, accompanied by a 25-date North American headline tour with stops in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The track embraces simplicity and patience in both production and songwriting, opening with accusatory lyrics that gradually soften into a contemplative bridge before resolving into a more empathetic, self-aware final chorus. The music video, directed by Nathan Castiel, features Kaiser alongside musicians Jordana, Faerybabyy, Blaketheman1000, and Anton Hochheim of Beach Fossils. Kaiser explains his evolving approach: “When I first started, I was posting music into the void with no expectations that anyone would hear it. I want the lyrics to cut through now because I’m putting a lot more care into what I’m saying.”

‘Simpleton’ dismantles the utopian view of American suburbs, treating finely manicured life as a mirage. Across its 13 tracks, the album wrestles with how gated neighborhoods, curated feeds, and predictable routines can blur and even erase empathy and responsibility, creating a walled-off world where difficult questions are easy to ignore. The album artwork, a painting from one of Kaiser’s favorite artists Jake Longstreth, depicts a nondescript fast food joint pointing to the malaise that can settle when comfort replaces curiosity. “I feel more ready now to write about something nuanced, whereas a few years ago I’d probably just say, ‘I’ll write about my dog,'” Kaiser reflects. “I’ve realized it all has to mean something, otherwise, what’s the point?”

Margaritas Podridas Share “Rompecabezas” From Forthcoming Album ‘Metales Pesados’

0

Shoegaze, grunge, and punk rockers Margaritas Podridas are ushering in a new chapter with the announcement of their forthcoming album ‘Metales Pesados’. The band has shared “Rompecabezas,” offering a powerful introduction that blends their signature raw intensity with vocalist Carolina Enriquez’s unique vocal prowess. The track captures Margaritas Podridas at their most confident, ready to parade into a new era full force. The band explains the album title: “‘Metales Pesados’ is translated as ‘heavy metals’ that’s why we picked that name. We don’t feel like the album sounds heavy metal but there are moments during the songs that feel very heavy, some mention metallic or sharp weapons because that’s how we wanted to sound. We like our guitars fuzzy and pointy enough to cut.”

The recording of ‘Metales Pesados’ proved deeply personal for the band. “The recording of this album saved me personally as I was being pulled by the demons of depression. It gave me a purpose to keep going,” they share. “The album is the angry part of betrayal, desire for revenge and healing. Being in the studio and having a safe place to express emotions helped and we really like how it came out. It is the third album of the band and we are very excited for the audience to hear it.” The studio served as a sanctuary for channeling difficult emotions into their heaviest and most pointed work yet.

Pickathon 2026 Returns To Pendarvis Farm With Steve Earle, Shakey Graves, Built To Spill

0

Pickathon returns to Pendarvis Farm July 30 through August 2, 2026 for its 26th year, presenting a unique curation strategy that honors pioneers while handing main stages to vanguard artists reinventing genres. The Portland-area festival anchors its bill with “Legends,” celebrating musical architects including master songwriter Steve Earle, bossa nova royalty Marcos Valle, Jamaican roots reggae artist Clinton Fearon, Bogotá’s psychedelic cumbia ensemble Meridian Brothers, doom metal legends Acid King, Mexican Institute of Sound, indie rock heroes Built to Spill, folk troubadour Alela Diane, and returning headliner Shakey Graves. Founder Zale Schoenborn explains: “We don’t book artists because they’re obvious and everywhere. We book them because they’re pointing to what’s next, and over 26 years we’ve built a community that trusts in the Pickathon process.”

The Discovery Artists tier showcases titans of underground scenes currently electrifying major rooms, including soul-revival giants Thee Altons and Thee Sinseers, bluegrass titans The Brothers Comatose, and indie rock stalwarts Widowspeak. Buzz builds around vocal soul dynasty The Womack Sisters, lo-fi songwriter Hudson Freeman, glitch-heavy alternative artist mercury, and Folk Bitch Trio’s rising harmonies. The lineup expands with cinematic jazz-funk artist Misha Panfilov making his US tour debut, classic country storyteller Hannah Juanita, hip-hop artist SA-Roc, and post-punk outfit Automatic. For 26 years, Pickathon has served as the stage where fans first encountered The War on Drugs, Kamasi Washington, Tyler Childers, The Marías, Black Pumas, Khruangbin, and Big Thief long before they sold out arenas.

Pendarvis Farm transforms each summer into a walkable temporary village with purpose-built stages and gathering spaces woven into the surrounding forest. Nearly every artist performs two distinct sets on different stages, while rotating DJs carry momentum between live performances. Programming includes literary readings, standup comedy, a family-focused neighborhood, and the Curation series, an intimate farm-to-table dining experience. Sustainability remains central through zero-waste operations, reusable serviceware, and site-wide composting systems. Wellness offerings include yoga, massage, showers, and quiet spaces, creating a festival experience built for sustained discovery rather than constant consumption.
